Don’t trust the pick up date at this locationI purchased an Apple item for pick up at this location and I did so only because it said I would get it by Oct 28, 2021 the date was the reason I ordered itI even called the 800 number to confirm if I ordered it I would be able to pick it up at the store on that date, I was told yesOn 10/28 I called around 4:30 and said “hey it’s getting late and my pick up is not ready yet, will I be able to still pick it up today” I was told I would still be able to no more then an hour later I get an email saying my pick up has been delayedHow is a pick up at the location delayedIf they did not have the product there why would they let me order it and give me a pick up date and then once it got delayed no one at Best Buy could give me a new date And offered no new informationI don’t understand how you can allow me to order something as pick up at location only to tell me that location didn’t have it and it had to come from somewhere else in the countryThat is false information that I ordered off ofAnd I don’t see how that is okayThank you Best Buy for completely ruining my 8 year olds birthdayI would be extremely cautious before ordering “PICK UP AT LOCATION” through Best Buy they completely lied to me and offered no customer service or help when I attempted
My Jeep Wrangler needed an upgrade and Rob Turim took the time to help me with exactly what I needed to have everything I was looking for. Rob was really helpful!! The install was incredible, very clean and sharp! I am bringing my car again to install the backup camera. Highly recommend!

I purchased a Samsung A7 tablet yesterday morning and wanted to give a shout out to the young gentleman working the floor who was assisting customers. He was professional, cheerful and very knowledgeable about the products. I believe his name was Eric.Although there was up to 1 or more people waiting in line for his assistance, he took the time to answer the customers questions without rushing them.
My sister & I were in the store the other day looking for a clip on cell phone holder for the car Emeka a salesman assisted us in getting exactly what we wanted. We were so impressed with his professionalism and pleasant nature. He is a real asset to the store and a pleasure working with him. He also offered to assist us in installing the device in the car.Best Buy you should be very proud to have this young man working for you
Placed an order online. Drove over 70 miles to pick up the item only to be told when I got there they are closed for remodel. So I sit from 10am to 1230pm. I then asked again about my order. Then I was told the item wasnt available!!!!! I would have to ordered thru different store if I knew this. This wasted almost 5 hours of my time!!!. As an elite plus member very sadden by this store and thankful this isnt my home store
Earlier in the year I bought my husband a phone, case, and screen protector at the Matthews Best Buy. The screen protector has a lifetime warranty, and because of damage, needs to be replaced. So we stopped by this evening to get it taken care of. When we arrived, there was a family at the phone desk being helped by a Best Buy Associate. We waited, and when they were finished, the associate began walking away, when I told him we needed assistance. He said he would call someone to help us and disappeared. We stood for several minutes, sat for awhile longer, then I got up and headed for the service desk, which had a long line. I looked over to the associate who was at the front door, he/she acknowledged me and I could see they were calling for help over their earpiece. So we waited several minutes more. I was surprised there were no associates manning the phone area, as there were several people shopping. Finally an associate asked if he/she (I will not identify, as I don’t want them to get in trouble) could answer a question for us. I explained that we needed a screen protector replaced. The associate, obviously frustrated/embarrassed said “honestly, it’s going to be a while.” I asked if they were having a difficult time finding people that wanted to work, which seems to be the problem for a lot of business. I was shocked to be told, “No. Our CEO made cuts, as he feels most people prefer shopping online.” Seriously?! The parking lot was 3/4 full, and there were a lot of people shopping in the store. You cannot get your screen protector replaced online, under warranty. We were on our way somewhere else, so we didn’t have time to wait any longer. Which means another trip back to the store for a 3 minute exchange, that will probably take over an hour. The CEO of Best Buy needs to rethink his new plan. Because it is not fair to the associates… or the customers. Not everyone wants to shop online, or wait an hour to be helped. I gave the 2 stars only because I feel bad for the associates. SMH.
Quick.amd easy to get to. You get greeted at the door and it is mask friendly (which to me is a plus). They offer games, movies, tvs, laptops, computers and more. I bought a movie and the transaction was very smooth and quick. Highly recommended

I like this place. But today I bought new computer(all in one LENOVO) and really upset. Before purchase I saw box was damaged. And I asked guy who sold this PC - maybe better to take another one ??. He told me - Dont worry I saw worth it damaged box and inside was fine.So when I came home I was in shock. Screen was destroyed.I spend about 2 hours for this purchase (way to store, way to home, time in store) . Tomorrow I gonna go back to the store and I dont know how much time will spend. So who gonna pay for that?Right now situation not so good with COVID. And I need work hard for pay my bills . Every hours when I not working I losing money...Thank you guys for making me happy.

The wealth of knowledge and friendly attitude as we asked a million questions was by far one of the best experiences we’ve had in quite a while.

Just went in to buy a new Chromebook. Asked for a price match to Samsungs direct website and was told that they would only price match if i bought a protection plan.Follow-up:Spoke with management regarding Raymond in computing, and they stated that they would take care of it. With a note that Raymond denies saying that, even though it was witnessed by loss prevention and 3 other employees.
Decent best buy. Its alright, I dont like how they act like youre going to die if you dont wear a mask. Its somewhat stocked up. Pick up is great! No problems with that.
We came into the store 30 minutes before closing. Knew exactly what we wanted in a mobile phone. The staff member at customer service was extremely rude. The salesman did not have time to show us the phone? Another clerk was helpful and answered our questions. The same rude customer service employee wouldnt even check us out. The clerk had to go behind the counter to sell us the purchase. A very frustrating experience! 😒
Every time I have come to this location I have dealt with rude employees. This gentleman stopped me as I was walking in and said they’re closed for 3-4 weeks for remodel. I said it should be put online, he said it is and I explained I just googled it and it wasn’t. He proceeded to stop me to try to prove me wrong, obviously I’m not happy and you’re going to press the matter. So, I have attached a screen shot to prove that it wasn’t posted. If you’re going to work with the public, I understand it can be frustrating but it is also frustrating to go out of your way to go somewhere for something specific and then be argued with when I’m far from stupid. I know how to use the Internet. If there’s another location near you I recommend you visit that location because this definitely isn’t worth the experience I’ve had any time I’ve visited. It’s ridiculous.
Nice greeter/security guy. Floor assistance was lacking and when I get service, it was limited and opinionated. Prices seemed really high on everything but that could simply be our world today. Go figure!
Normally I’m not the type to leave reviews. I’ve worked retail in the past and, I get it. Customers often expect to much you just work there. But the service I received here was subpar at best. Came to purchase a television, I wasn’t greeted upon walking in to the store by the four associates standing at the door. Made my way to back display and began looking, walked around for about ten plus minutes without being offered help. Almost has if I was being avoided. At one time witnessed three associate helping one man who claimed he’d “Be back tomorrow” for a 1500 dollar purchase. At which point I decided to just approach a sales person. Who acted has if I was wasting his time. He made no attempt to discuss. Needs, price range, features, etc. Which I had watch him do for the gentleman that left empty handed. He almost tried to talk me out of making a purchase entirely. (what ?) Anyway, I got what I came for and it’s safe to say I won’t be returning to this location. Just wait the two days.
The guy at the door greeted and directed the lady in front of me but didnt say a word to me upon entering the store. I thought that was weird then got the sense that it was the norm in there because I was in there for 15 minutes circling trying to find a particular thing and not one associate stopped to ask if I was finding everything okay or did I need help. Customer service was pretty disappointing but I finally found what I was looking for and it works great which is why they got 3 stars.

Terrible customer service. The person working on my order was absolutely fine and did what he could. However the assistant manager who was outside the store during the refresh did nothing to try to help. I stood out in the heat for half an hour he didnt offer any help or try to work on the situation or offer me to step inside he stood there on his phone ignoring me.
So I went there to buy a dishwasher. The store was pretty empty and I guess it takes two employees to help a customer. From what i saw, one helps and the other watches. So they see me waiting and tell me I have to go to the front of the store and put my name on a list so, They know who theyre helping. They helped me go to Queen City and buy our dishwasher.That response without acknowledging me or even asking me what I needed deserved a one finger salute. And they wonder why theyre going out of business.
Bought a couple appliances recently and the entire process went seamlessly! Thankful for the delivery and installation process. All employees were extremely helpful, informative, and kind.
A lot of the shelves were bare with out of stock items. What items they had in stock, gaming and security cameras, were in disarray on the shelves. It resembled a store that was going out of business. I only found one of the items I was looking for, xbox controller, but they were out of the color my son wanted. The young man who helped me was very polite; however, you could definitely tell they were short staffed. Also, checkout was not clearly labeled. We ended up checking out at customer service.
What a great experience I had with the Matthews Best Buy. A tv I purchased for my MIL needed to be returned, as it quit working, but it was a few days after the stated return policy. As I am from out of town, I couldn’t manage the return within that window. Will, the Manager I dealt with, was so very kind and understanding, and I was also very impressed with the level of customer service provided by every employee I encountered, especially the nice gentleman who helped me bring the tv in from my car. Will also went out of his way, helping me select a warranty for the replacement, and helping load it in my car. Very kind and I’m happy great customer service still exists. Thanks, Will.
The store was vastly understaffed and the manager was completely Invisible! I dont care how many customers were waiting on the TWO employees circulating around the store, the manager would not come out help!!!There were also a couple of employees who refused to help to two cashiers at the customer service and check out counter. The two free employees just sat back and watched their fellow employees struggle!The manager also failed to properly disburse the few employees he had into strategic locations so as make available the most help he could for the customers. These two free employees often had to be hunted down from various locations in the store.Two people from the car installation Dept walked passed me on the floor, but refuse to hear my verbal requests for assistance!If it were up to me, the manager of this store would be picking up that last pay check!
This used to be the place to purchase appliances, etc. the customer service was amazing. No longer. The store looks ransacked and there are literally three employees in the store. I’ve currently been waiting 20 minutes as the only person in appliances chats with a woman and hasn’t even acknowledged anyone. We went to customer service and they directed us back to wait for Romeo. Won’t be back. We are replacing all kitchen appliances and looks like another store will get this business.

Arrived for store opening on a Saturday. I was greeted as I came in the door and asked what I was looking for. The employee pointed me in the right direction and I was in and out in less than 15 minutes. Great experience.
Cavernous and haunted by the ghosts of smart phone replaced devices of the past. The staff is almost non-existent. Demo devices (I was looking for a sound bar) dont operate to give me a demo. (These are supposedly set up and maintained by third parties, or at least thats the excuse that I was given. So if the floor manager or section manager cant do anything about it and maintain them then what are they there for?) Disappointed with a lack of care for the buying experience. I considered this a wimpy buy and bought my sound bar at Costco.

I cant remember ever having a terrible experience at Best Buy, so this is a first. No one around to help and when I stopped a clerk to ask a question he act like I was disturbing him. I purchased pc display port and a TV. Ive never been in the TV section and got no assistance... usually reps are over you in the TV department. The customer service person in the front told me that a rep would be back there, but no one ever came....until I was ready to check out. A really nice customer helped walk the TV out and loaded it in my car.
The guy at door was more like a robot, unable to really assist u but kept saying the same thing over and over. I was to pick up an item three days ago and he sent me away saying look for e mail. Turns out my item had been sitting there on their shelf for three days waiting for me to pick up, thank goodness someone else overheard and assisted me. Too far for me to keep driving to check on, and when I call to check they never answer the phone.
Matthews, NC best buy has Zero customer service. Manager Paul and his associates were not friendly and unprofessional. Will never shop Best Buy again. Thats a promise.

My appliance purchase from best buy has been a complete disaster. It started with the associate ordering the wrong size and color refrigerator and then scheduling haul away for our dishwasher but not scheduling the installation of the new one. Several calls later Ive given up and cancelled the whole order. I will take my business to their competition. Its not worth it.
I popped in to Best Buy to pick up some $20 wireless earphones. The store was clean and organized. Customer service at the door asked if I needed anything. He pointed me in the exact direction of what I needed. However, the cashier took a few to get to register and ring me out. Other than that, I was in and out with a breeze.
The last time I ordered a phone from best buy, I went inside to pick it up and they acted like they didnt know where it was. I stood there for twenty minutes until they finally found my phone. Meanwhile nobody seemed at all concerned about me. So this time, I would not have gone inside with covid wide spread on our area. But I saw curbside and decided to give it a shot. I figured even if I had to wait thirty minutes, at least Id be comfortable in my car. To my surprise, I was done and on my way in less than five minutes. Please keep curbside even after covid! Huge turn around in your customer service in the last three years. Dont let it slip back to nonchalance again after covid.

Very poor customer service ordered computer 12/9/20 suppose to be shipped to me before 12-15-20. Still sitting in warehouse to be picked up be UPS. They couldn’t tell me where it is and have provided no tracking information so I could follow where it is.So don’t trust them to get you purchase to you on a timely basis. Plus the customer service when you call is very poor. Buy you gift somewhere else would be my advice.

My 17 year old purchased the iphone 12Pro. We worked with Jaime at this store location. She was absolutely amazing! She took her time, was super knowledgeable about the product, was very patient with my son as he was nervous about transferring the data. The entire experience was great. Also, kudos to the Mgr. not sure of his name, but he searched high and low in the store for the 1 phone that came in that day and found it.
Rude and not so help staff but overall an okay location.Once I had a curbside pickup, I arrived around 20-25 minutes prior to closing of the store and checked in via app, no one came out and I even tried to go into the store since it had been a while, but they did not let me enter the store and asked me to wait outside, they said the same thing to a few other folks, anyways they closed the store without ever bringing out my items so yeah I had to drive back home only to then change the item from pickup to shipping because I didn’t want to deal with the same laziness again.
The Best Buy in Matthews, NC, was one of worst experiences I’ve ever had shopping at Best Buy. The store representative, Tim, was extremely rude and cold. I asked a simple question about an incorrect price quote that I was given (called and confirmed the price before I drove 30 minutes to the location) and requested to speak with a member of management. He stated, while heavily sighing, “I’ll get them to tell you the exact same thing I just told you” as if it was some inconvenience to him to get me a manager and assist me. The manager, Homy Mendoza, proceeded to “educate” me on the fact that the representative has the right to say this me to me, which was totally shocking coming from management. Furthermore, there was no apologies issued for the representatives attitude, just a simple “I’ll have a one on one with him. It was the store’s mistake for giving me information, what kind of customer service is that?I will never shop at this location again, those two were not a good representation of Best buy at all. This was totally unacceptable and unprofessional.
Went here to purchase an iPad. Told me that what I wanted wasnt in stock without being willing to go look. This is despite several different models being available for 1-hour pickup (I was told they were sold out of all of them). I dont have time to sit around and wait for the 1 hour pickup, so I purchased elsewhere - huge waste of my time.
Right from when you enter the door with someone there to greet you and ask if you need any help if so they tell you exactly who to go see to get the the exact help you need in store. The help there is VERY PROFESSIONAL yet FRIENDLY and the overall store appearance is CLEAN & CRISP .
The only reason I broke down and went to Best Buy was because I needed a printer and could find one elsewhere. Service - well there isn’t any!!! Knowledgeable help - didn’t get that either. I just hope I don’t have to go back there for anything.
My son was railroaded into purchasing a protection plan that he didnt need because they couldnt fix his computer anyways. They were going to charge him 260 dollars and they said if he bought the protection plan for 200 dollars the repair would be covered under it. Well they not only didnt fix it but couldnt fix it so now he is out 200 dollars.
I bought 2 NEW monitors. Got home from curbside pickup and found that one was Open Box and was missing the power supply. When I called support (the 888 number), they told me I could take option A) 25$ gift card for the inconvenience, but that would not cover the cost of a replacement power supply or B) drive 20 miles each way to another store to exchange the monitor, but I would not receive any compensation for my time & fuel/driving cost.Reading other reviews, there seems to be a consistent lack of due diligence at the stores. Expecting customers to QC your inventory is a good way to not have any more customers. Other stores (ex: Amazon) would offer to ship a replacement, but Best Buy did not in this case. Best Buy lost a customer today.

Stopped by two different times this week for car audio stuffBoth times couldnt get any assistance. Maybe if you took the 6 employees waiting at the front door and put them departments then you wouldnt have customers leaving your store without purchasing anything. No wonder people are abandoning big box stores for Amazon.

There was a mix up with an open box product that was labeled wrong. I thought i was buying and paid for a galaxy watch 3 when the actual product was a regular original galaxy watch LTE. A month and a half after I purchased it I waslooking at watches and discovered that the open box labeled galaxy watch 3 was a regular galaxy watch so with the receipt and the watch I explained the unusual situation with a very nice(sorry I didnt very names) black lady in her 30s Id guess (black dont crack so she couldve been 50) and a white, bald gentleman and they exchanged my product and I paid the difference and they were very respectful through the whole process. Originally they did indeed charge me the correct price but the box was labeled incorrectly so it wasnt really either of our faults, but they made it right so kudos to those two employees. I will continue to make this my specific best buy store (theres 3 that are all 10-12 miles from me)! 5 star customer service experience. Heck give them 6 stars. Well done best buy and 2 employees. Im sorry I didnt get your name but you can easily identify the white gentleman though and hopefully the black lady so you can reward their excellent service!

Went in recently for the deal on a new phone. Line was short so it wasnt a super long trip. Hand sanitizer was available and employees were wearing masks. They were also cleaning the display models before and after being handled.Rick was amazing. He was knowledgeable and able to answer my barge of questions concerning different phones and how they work on the network Im on. He was patient, kind, and honestly exactly the type of person you want to work with when making what is a major purchase these days. If youre looking to upgrade or change phones, I definitely suggest trying to get Rick to help you, and honestly felt like he did a better job of answering questions than other salespeople at different stores.For those who dont want to interact, Ive used their curbside pick up for different items and its been quick and efficient.
Second time going to look into getting a TV. First was 3 years ago, second a couple days ago. 1st time was ignored and then treated like i couldnt afford the TV i wanted, so purchased elsewhere. This time same thing, 2 guys helping 1 guy, me nothing. Took my mask off to see if Id be noticed. Guy comes up, you need help, me yes, well they wont approach you with your mask off. Funny I was here for 10 15 minutes with it on and no one tried to help. Then the dude had attitude. Also didnt really have anything in stock. Walking out, see a customer being yelled at by staff!! Worse than walmart! Never again!

Heard intake GS associate tell customer 20 minutes was for filling out paperwork sooo another trip to store required. Appointment required.Using on line service is real burden.Intake is a joke; passed along to techsupport who are excellent. In some cases 6 hour wait time required

One star because I cant give zero stars. My wife and I have long ago come to the realization that if were going to Best Buy that it is not reasonable to expect adequate service, but after our last visit I cant imagine what could motivate me to ever return. We made the poor decision to use the Verizon service in the store. The Verizon rep was so awful at his job I have to assume he either passionately hates his job or suffered traumatic brain injury on his way to work that day. We had to spend several hours on the phone with Verizon the next day to fix the many mistakes he made.
No sense of customer service! and geek squad is a joke.. they talk too much and nothing gets fixed. Kept me in hold for 15min and hung up on me twice. Wanted to keep my “serviced” surfacepro 8 days after “repairing” it half a day? is this the best BB can do?Branch Manager, you need to train your people on customer service.

The user experience of best buy shopping is just underwhelming. If you know what you want, and you can wait a day or two to get it, you have no use for best buy. If you need help, best buy could be a perfect place to get it, in person, but the staff often lacks needed expertise/experience. The one thing best buy can differentiate in from Amazon.com, personal customer care, grately lacks in substance as well as manner. Your milage may vary, and my experience in this store could be due to bad alignment of stars, but it seems the stars have been misaligned on all my visits...
When we were there, they were not busy, yet I did not get my order for over an hour and then when I told them to cancel it. I was leaving.

BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!Bought a TV there and got it home and left in box for 2 months due to remodelling our home. When we went to hang it all lines like a rainbow dripping down screen!! No cracks, in perfect shape, so must have been internal. Well 30 days folks thats it! They took 400 bucks and will not exchange it because we did not get it back within the time frame! I called corporate and they were like OH WELL. PLEASE go anywhere else! I wated 400 bucks and they stole it from us! Its thefyt to sell a defective TV and they say OH WELL!!! Just because we didnt open it right away!!!
I’ve bought several items from Best Buy (2 smart tv’s surround sound system, laptop, printer) but every time I’ve gone in it usually takes half an hour or so to get any service. Last time I went in I was standing around the over thousand dollar laptops and several customer service reps helped others and walked away but didn’t help me. The one that finally helped me didn’t do much to try to narrow down what I was looking for and the laptops I was looking at they had to order.

Found the item I needed but the store was WAY too Covidly focused. Entering the store and checking out was an experience in paranoia. I felt like I was entering and exiting Stalag 13... Ordering off Amazon next time!
I decided to shop this store online, and pick it up- as they had one of the last available video doorbells that I wanted. They gave me a clearly damaged product, packaged up like a new one. It had a hole drilled through the product and a clearance sticker on the inside, but I paid full price. I had to return it to another location as I was not driving another 45 minutes out of my way to deal with this store. The customer service member called two others over to look at what they sold me. Completely unacceptable. Check your orders (open the box and go through it!) before you leave this location.

They appear to be adhering to COVID safety protocols. After a few years of shopping elsewhere, Best Buy has proven to be a reliable and trustworthy retailer in this age of online orders and curbside pickups. The local staff have been helpful and professional with any in store visits.
