Prices are good, but the customer service is terrible. No one calls you back, you have to call them. I purchased a refrigerator they delivered the wrong one and I had to send it back to the warehouse and they delivered the right one the next day. I also purchased a washer and dryer that I had been waiting 3 weeks on. They delivered it today and both the washer and dryer were damaged so I had to send it back to the warehouse after waiting almost 3 weeks. Dont order from the website because its not up to date. They have stuff that is discontinued but yet they still advertise it. Horrible...just go to Best Buy. The pandemic is no excuse for bad customer service.

Bought a Maytag dryer over the phone from the Matthews store . Wade was very helpful and informative. The delivery process was pleasant and quick from Lucas. Unfortunately the dryer started making a loud grinding sound just hours after delivery. I called back the next day and talked to Jeff .He agreed something was wrong and they promptly replaced it with a brand new one! Great customer service guys!!!!! I will definitely be back

Initial service to purchase washer and dryer was great. Told me my appliances would be delivered in August, then it was September, then called us and said the dryer would be delivered in September but the washer not until October. We called to see what our options were and they told us the washer was now delayed until January. The salesman was going to check and see if he could do any kind of substitute and call us back. Never did call us so we called best buy and got the exact model washing machine in stock and delivered in 3 days. Called Plaza to cancel our order and after a week of calling and leaving messages we NEVER got a call back. Only after threatening to contact the BBB did we finally get a call from the manager to process our refund. Save yourself the trouble and just buy your stuff from Best Buy. You may pay $50 more but they have it in stock!

We like shopping there for our appliances, instead of the BIG box stores, because their sales staff are knowledgeable about the many appliances they sell. Donna Murphy is our go to sale consultant at their Matthews store. They carry a wide selection of in stock appliances and they offer turn key service (free shipping, installation, and removal of old appliances). We definitely recommend Plaza Appliance.

Terrible experience this time! They sent WRONG dishwasher! After numerous telephone calls, bill pleasants gave me a $150 credit although my plumbers bill was $210 for two trips. He said he added a one year extended warranty but I have no documentation that this was done. There were no instructions on how to use the dishwasher. I was told by salesman that installers are NOT licensed plumbers which was a little disconcerting so I decided to use my own experienced plumbers..,..who, incidentally, the salesman was very familiar with and told me I was making the right choice. The receptionist was EXTREMELY rude and should be replaced by someone who has more people skills.I do, however, like my new Jennair dishwasher but dealing with Plaza was not a good experience. The same dishwasher can be purchased anywhere in Charlotte (Home Depot, Lowe’s, Best Buy etc) I have purchased from Plaza for years but NEVER again

BUYERS BEWARE! Purchased a faulty dryer (Speed Queen) from here almost a year ago along with false promises of great service. The short story is that NEITHER the dryer or the service / follow up has been effective or reliable.For background - at time of purchase, the store manager assured us it would be a reliable machine and came with very responsive service. Unfortunately, our dryer hasnt been operational for almost three months...3 MONTHS! Fortunately, after posting my original review (on the wrong store location initially, sorry Monroe Rd. location), they did drop off a loaner machine to be used temporarily. This dryer is fortunately operating for us, though its not the same quality as we purchased and there has been little to no responsiveness once again regarding the repair of our originally purchased machine.

Dominick was extremely informative and really knows his products. I originally walked in to buy what I thought was the best set of kitchen appliances for the money and Dominick showed me and my wife a beautiful set of Cafe appliances that I did not think we could afford. At the end of the day we ended up paying far less than we thought for better appliances. In addition their delivery schedules were faster than the other competitors in Charlotte including the big box stores. So impressed with the service here that I will be back to buy a washer and a dryer in a few months.

I was looking for a fridge when mine died on me. I wanted to support local instead of a big chain. I saw good reviews on Plaza Appliance Mart. Home Depot and Lowes wouldnt be able to deliver a fridge until a couple months down the road. I was pleased with the interaction with Dominic the sales person who I dealt with. He did know his stuff. The guys who delivered the Frigidiare refrigerator we bought did a good job bringing it into the house. They were pleasant and I tipped them. When they took the plastic coverings off the fridge, there was a spot of damage on each handle where the paint was rubbed off. I dont believe it happened when they brought it in from the truck to the house. It probably happened in shipping or being moved around the warehouse. The deliver guys noted it on the sheet I signed for delivery and they said they would come back and replace the handles. I got a call the next day from a guy(dont remember his name, he had a deep voice.) from the warehouse checking to see how the delivery went. I told him it was very good except for the damage on the handles. He said they would replace them. 2 weeks went by and no communication. I called them and spoke with Dominic and explained the situation. He said that he would get back with me and who I spoke with from the warehouse, said it probably wouldnt be that day, may be a couple days but said he would definitely get back with me. Here it is 2 weeks later and no communication. I am throwing in the towel. I am not gonna hound them to fix this when it appears they are just gonna dodge me. I was going to buy a whole combo set but really needed just the fridge right away and would get the rest later. The appliances we wanted did not come in a combo deal so did not need to get them all together. But I am glad we decided to just get the fridge and see how it went. Unfortunately I wont be going back to Plaza Appliance Mart because of this experience. It should not be this hard to get handles replaced that were delivered damaged. I want to support local but guess it will have to be back to the big chains for my needs. Sad.

Started about a month ago going into the store for a front load dryer with pedestal. Their warehouse was closed today, but the were able to sell us the floor model to get our clothes dried today! 5 stars! We will be back for our future appliance needs!

I just made my third appliance purchase, an electric range, at Plaza. It’s refreshing to walk into a store and actually have someone listen to me about what I want and not try to steamroll me into buying something more expensive. Jeff was awesome and friendly and was able to get me a range with all the features I wanted in my budget. The prices are around the same as big box stores, but the people at Plaza can actually answer my questions. Delivery is within a couple of days. The people that do the installation are thorough and knowledgeable too (I previously bought a dishwasher and a microwave there).

The level of service was superb. I actually ordered a washing machine from another local appliance store that was to be delivered the same day I purchased the washing machine from Plaza, but it was not delivered, and when I called, I found out that my order was canceled unbeknownst to me. After waiting over a week, I was understandibly ticked. Within 30 minutes, Dominick had me checked out, and set up for a next day delivery. Now that is service. Plain and simple.

Jeff was so helpful! I originally bought a refrigerator from Costco but had to return it because the delivery guy would not remove the refrigerator hinges to get it thru the back door. He also said because of the water line and the electrical components he could not remove the doors.Lowe’s had no interest in seeing if they could get it to fit by removing hinges.We called Plaza and spoke with Jeff who checked out the exact same model we wanted online, called his best delivery guy, explained the situation and assured me it would fit thru our door.*UPDATE: The delivery guys were outstanding! I asked if it would fit he said “oh yes no problem.” They removed the refrigerator doors and hinges and were able to fit the refrigerator. It looks amazing! I’m very happy

My husband and I recently purchased a GE profile slide in gas range and a Kitchen Aid low profile microwave from Dominick. He listened carefully to our needs and preferences, and did not try to oversell us to something more. We feel that he was professional in his approach and appreciate that he did not use pushy sales tactics to get a sale. We would buy from him again and would recommend him to others.

I have ordered six major appliances five months ago I’ve left messages, I’ve talked to sales people and nobody can give me the status on two of the missing items, they continue to tell me they will get back with me and I never hear anything- now the appliances are on sale I hope that they will honor the sale price, Seems to be the prudent thing to do for their lack of customer service
