If youre in Charlotte and looking for South African food and flavors, along with some UK flavors as well, youre in luck. Dont let the spartan interior discourage you, Im pretty sure this is the only place in Charlotte you can get Biltong(although its far from cheap), along with some other sweets and treats. They even have pies and sausage.

Excellent customer service!!!!!!! Some simple comforts from home go a long way. A couple of my curry boxes were broken in transit. When i called to notify everything was fine except a couple curry boxes, they immediately refunded back the money. I will definitely be using again. Only wish I was closer so I could go into the store.

An amazing store that has everything I needed from home but had no idea where to find.They have relish mixes like Knorr, Royco, South African wines like Wolftrap, Ceres juice, MS Balls Chutney, Biltong, Cadbury chocolate - Flake & Crunch and mealie meal. It really helps to be able to find food from close to home, a nice reminder or comfort food when youre homesick.Or the perfect place to pick up food items you really enjoyed during your travels or if youre just curious about South African food

Well another great experience at our favorite store away from home. We always go with a list and land up walking away with the list filled and a lot MORE stuff. Today had a great time talking with Colleen and two other expats from Zimbabwe. ( We are from Cape Town SA). Such a comfortable time talking about the other side of the pond but being grateful for our new opportunity in the USA.Highly recommend a visit to this store especially for the Biltong and Droëwors.

Ever go to a place and want to love it? This is it. Products from back home that make you homesick. The lady that works there (Coleen?) is the rudest person Ive ever met. I just dont understand why she must be curt and unfriendly. Products great, but find them other places now. I spoke with several SA friends whove said the same thing. Theyve stopped buying from them too.

The owner is the rudest person ever: he has no concept of customer service or customer relations. We drive all the way from Raleigh always to buy here, but after this experience we decided not to anymore. There are a lot of options to order online and don’t think this rude man at the shop is worth any business. They don’t deserve even one star

We wanted to buy a lot of drywors worth close to 500 bucks, we were 5 mins late. We called him in advance and told him we can make a payment over phone if he could wait 5 extra mins for us., and he simply said no. Rude man

Negative experience with their online Correspondence:I wrote them a message asking when there would be biltong available, as it was stated they are sold out. I wrote, when will their next shipment be ready as in when will THEY be able to ship and I also asked if they could give me a price quote on it. Well, I got a very rude response from a woman named Colleen, saying firstly they dont buy biltong and secondly that they dont have to tell me a price before hand. I was a little surprised at the abruptness so I wrote back saying that was rather unkind and unprofessional as a response and proceeded to explain I meant that I would like to purchase from them, and that I was only looking for a ballpark figure.. After that I received another response (from Colleen), even more rude than the first saying that 1) they were in no way being unkind, that it was my interpretation and 2) that I obviously meant shipment as in they buy it. Then she proceeded to block me from responding.. WOW, I cannot believe the audacity of that, so rude and presumptuos! I cannot recommend this place to anyone, after such conduct and childishness. Instead of apologizing and trying to retain me as a customer I got attitude and told how I was wrong. Nope, no thanks. I dont need that kind of treatment from someone who obviously doesnt have a clue about customer service or satisfaction!

Always recommend this shop! If youve never tried south African biltong (need jerky) you need to. Trey make it and Alice it fresh with a variety of imported British goods. Plus who doesnt love a south African accent?

We love this little shop! We found it when we were doing a google search for South African nougat. They have 5 or six different kinds. You can also get biltong, shrimp flavored chips and other snacks you can’t find in the US. They also have an Amazon shop that we use now that we’ve moved away from the area.

Wow! Hands down the best, most authentic biltong in the states. Even the smell of it...just takes me back home! Im so happy I found this place. This is an awesome little store that you can find some staples at as well as new food experiences. The biltong from this store is exceptional and not like other biltong you may have had. Do yourself a favor and get a couple bags of biltong from this store and enjoy some of the best biltong you will ever have.

Im so glad I found this place! I was taking a road trip and had to find some biltong! This place was recommended by a friend and this place didnt disappoint. I decided to try the biltong chunks and droewors. These products were amazing! The flavor was great and I will be going back! This place also has additional items if you are interested in South African cuisine!

After being introduced to real South African biltong from a South African friend, I was hooked. After searching to find it and trying it in many places, this is the only place that has the real deal! I LOVE their bledie lekker! I suggest getting 2lbs of it fat and moist. One to blast through, and another to savor. Best flavor ever!
