Rented a small storage unit for my daughter after she graduated college. Wonderful experience. The building was always clean, felt very secure and the unit was great. I loved being able to park right next to the door and rolling carts were always available at the elevator! I would highly recommend this Life Storage in Matthews!

So I feel like the companies rent online page could be a little clearer. I wanted to rent a climate controlled unit. I chose a facility that has climate controlled spaces. I went through the rent online section and rented my space. I was very dismayed when I would up with a unit that is not climate controlled. So I went to the facility to see for sure. I met Doug, your representative. He was quickly sympathetic to my needs and was quick to help me. He checked online and was not able to satisfy my needs. After discussion with my family, we decided we would make do with this unit, even though it was not what we wanted. Doug was very helpful during this process and made us feel like what we needed really mattered. I think Life Storage needs to make their online rental process clearer, so we know what we are getting, but as long as you have employees like Doug it makes it a little less painful. Thanks Doug!!!

Do yourself a favor, rent somewhere else. Staff members are arrogant. Prices go up after you move all of your stuff into the unit. Most storage isn’t even accessible from the outside, you have to walk through hallways to get to your unit. Driveways are so narrow, that if someone were to park on the side of the building, you’re stuck sitting there until they come back out. And let me just say, CJ is the WORST! About as much customer service as a snail.

This is one of the best storage units I have used in a long time. It is super clean, affordable, in a great location and the customer service was awesome! They also have packing tape and other moving supplies if you need it. Make sure you ask for Doug!

For the first time in our lives my wife and I needed to rent storage space while our new home is being built. We started out with thinking we may only need one unit but are up to 3 units now. Every step of the way from our first contact with the people and staff at the Matthews location to the ease of setting up the billing on the internet it has a been a easy process. The grounds and storage units are spotless. Very happy with Life Storage and its people and process.

Amazing service! This location really goes above and beyond to make sure each customers needs and wants are attended to! Even when you’re cutting it very close to closing time! Doug has always gotten in contact with us when something didn’t seem right. He closed out account as soon as movers moved everything out so we didn’t get charged anything for extra days until paper arrived at their office.Doug always got back to me quickly on questions asked through emails.The facility is very well lit, keeps items safe in locked building and is easy to get in and out of.Prices are very reasonable.

I used this storage facility to help me with a local in-town move in Charlotte. It was my first experience with a storage unit and it was a great experience overall. Very simple to start the rental and the facility itself was very clean, and easy to access. I was a short term renter and was really pleased with this location and my unit. If I need to use storage again in the future Id first check this location for availability.

Their customer service is outstanding. I had originally booked a unit online, but then decided I needed a bigger unit. I went into the office and Doug set me up with a larger unit. We were unable to find the original reservation in their system, so I said I would call and cancel the next day. Well, I didn’t have to.
