Have taken my vw here a few times and they have always been very nice and have quick service. I used to only go to be dealers but this is my new go to service center.

I brought my Audi in to locate a few oil leaks and a transmission leak. When I called ahead, I was told the transmission tailshaft seal would be about $280. So I make an appointment 2 weeks ahead of time and arrange for transportation during the time for repairs. I was fully prepared to spend over $1300 to fix the leaks and happy to spend $89 to have the leak location detected. I was given an invoice for two diagnostic fees (one which was taken off due to me never asking for the service) and an estimate to repair pretty much every engine seal, a few transmission seals and replacing the turbos. The total of all the repairs was over $11000. My disappointment comes from the fact that I (not a mechanic) was able to locate the 3 leaks. Nothing is wrong with the turbos, the transmission leak is ONLY from the tail shaft seal and the engine leaks are from the cam seals and the turbo oil line. Why did I pay to have you tell me everywhere a leak could have come from and why didnt you just FIND it and give me an estimate to REPAIR it. If you are ever hiring, let me know. I am happy to guess on repairs.

Very professional and stand behind their work

In July 2020 we took our Tiguan here to get the oxygen sensor replaced, but got our car back with a gas tank issue. We paid $2000 to replace the oxygen sensor, as well as a few other issues they recommended needed repair, but were happy to pay as long as our car was fixed.Once we got our car back, every time we removed the fuel cap, there was suction and noise from the tank, and the gas gauge was wrong and never reached full. We called the shop back about the new issue within 24 hours of getting our Tiguan back. They told us that they had performed a smoke test on our fuel system and found leaks, but we refused the additional ~$1700 repair of a complete fuel tank replacement, so these issues must be due to the repair we refused. They did not believe us that this issue didnt exist before it was brought in. Fast forward to January 2021, after just suffering through this new problem with our car since we just paid so much to fix it, we finally took our car to another mechanic and they found that Wolfsburg had left a clamp on one of our fuel lines when they performed the smoke test. We have the clamp as proof. We are new to Memphis and trusted this place due to the great reviews, but had over $600 worth of new damage due to their negligence and the car still needs further repair, but at least we arent afraid it will blow up anymore.UPDATE: Wolfsburg reached out to us very quickly to resolve this matter, took responsibility for the mistake, and reimbursed us for the additional charges. We feel good about bringing our car back to them after this interaction. Thank you.

I took a vw in with a number of problems that had been looked at by another shop that could not locate the problems after several weeks of testing. Wolfburg Automotive located and repaired the issues while keeping me abreast of their findings. The problems I were experiencing have been resolved and I am finally on the road with a dependable vehicle.

Big shoutout to Wolfsburg Automotive. I am not local, but saw their name on Porsche indy shop list. Asked them to perform a Pre Purchase Inspection (PPI) on a used 911 from a local seller, and they came through with flying colors. Communications and service were really effective. I talked to two (maybe three?) different people over the phone over the course of few days, and they knew exactly what I needed and handled the scheduling, inspection, reporting, and payment smoothly. I have been taking my Volkswagen here since I moved to the area. These guys are great. Honest and very good at what they do. Repairs are always done well and they are very upfront about any issues with your car but are not pushy. Highly recommend.

I worked with Eric to have a PPI on a 996 generation Porsche 911. He was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating, getting the car in within 2 days. His team did a thorough review of the car, providing detailed notes and pictures to me via a web portal, all for a competitive price. Afterwards, Eric availed himself for a follow-up call about some specifics as well as his general impression of the vehicle. All around great experience!

I wrote 2 reviews to give anyone else looking 4 the savages of the Audi, V.W, and Porsche community notice that this is the only place 4 u. I needed a fuel pump replaced in an Audi A4. Everyone in the city was costing$ 1200. I simply couldnt afford it, but Wolfsburg did it for $900! I couldnt believe it! They are beasts, and deserve their high rating. No1 else will touch my car!

It is soooo hard to find an honest mechanic unfortunately in Memphis. I have used dealerships mainly for my Jetta, and been taken advantage of. I saw a Wolfsburg ad in our entertainment mag and tried them out. I am very glad I did, they were a bit cheaper and had me fixed in about 2 days, which dealerships said a week. I hope they see this, & I will spread the word to all my VW buds- great job! Nice owner too.

Ive been coming to wolfsburg auto for about a year now. Ive always had anxiety about mechanics because you never really know if theyre telling the truth or just trying to get as much money from you as possible. Let me reassure you that these are the most honest mechanics Ive ever visited. They repair things and they stay fixed. The dealer told me I needed $7000 dollars worth of repairs and it turned out I didnt need over half of the work done that they recommended. Jim and Pat of Wolfsburg Auto were honest and reliable and I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs a GREAT autoshop to service their vehicle. I cant see myself going to anyone else again.

Wifes Toureg went crazy while we were in Memphis. Thankful I found these guys. They understood my situation, only being here for a couple days. Know it would have been a ripoff at another place/dealer, who would have capitalized on my misfortune. They got in in, diagnosed and fixed in 24 hrs. Runs better than ever and less than 300 dollars. Wish they had a shop in Austin area.

$135 for an oil change on VW GTI??? That is an unbelievable price. I had taken my car in previously on recommendation from Gossett to adjust coilovers - they did good work, although that was >$200 in labor as well. Perhaps my expectations for experienced service pricing is off, but my personal perspective would suggest asking for expected costs up front.

The guys at Wolfburg got my 2009 Passat with an overheating problem and a squeaky front end; all from aftermarket parts installed incorrectly. After preparing me for a cost of about $1000 more, they told me they were able to just tighten up the front end and correct the overheating problem with a stock intercooler and stock fans. The price was significantly less than what they said the most it would be and on top of that, they gave me a free key fob guard for the door after I lost it myself before I even brought it to them. The only room for improvement would be it taking a little longer than I expected and I didnt hear from them a whole lot throughout the process. Will use again and strongly recommend to anybody with a German car!

Im new to Memphis and obviously owning a VW I looked for an independent shop. I worked my way through college in an independent VW shop and these guys are top notch.

I wouldnt trust my A5 to any other repair shop. These guys are the best and you wont find better prices anywhere!

Jim & Patrick live & breath German cars. They have serviced all my VWs since they left Gossett & opened there own repair shop.If they cant fix it nobody can!!

The place and people are somewhat unresponsive. They’ve been unavailable a few times that I’ve called on different days and times, left a few voicemails that I’ve never got return call back about. Uncooperative at many times.

Honest dependable work at reasonable prices

Thanks to Wolfsburg, Jim, Pat and their team, I got my car back. I had my car towed from the dealer to Wolfsburg VW. When giving the tow truck dispatcher instructions, they said they didnt need the address for Wolfsburg, they tow a lot of cars from the dealer there. My just in VW warranty needed an engine swap VW declined to repair (long sad story). I found a used low mile engine, and Wolfsburg installed it as promised, ahead of time, without all the issues of the VW dealer service department. Under warranty youre stuck with the dealer (who screwed my car up more than once). After warranty beat a path to Wolfsburg. Make your appointment early, because they are popular and busy. This is a competent garage, a great value in VW specialized service in the Memphis area. Thanks Wolfsburg.
