Being new to Memphis, Im still finding my way around the city & seeing 901 Comics and its reviews before I made the trip payed off in so many ways! I love the aesthetic of the shop, love how friendly people were and how much of a variety this shop has. Figurines, old & new comics, graphic novels & even apparel.I even got a discount just having a friendly chat with the clerk & how new I am to Memphis. Im definitely looking to go here as many times as I can!
Every time I have visited Ive had a great experience! The staff is always helpful,friendly, and courteous. They allow you to browse in peace, but ready to answer any questions. They dont look down their noses at you like some of the other comic shops Ive visited!
Fun space with a lot of cool stuff! They have everything from newer comics and trades to the classics! And their toy and statue selection is really impressive. I cant wait to go back!
This is the comic store to shop. Forget about the comic store on poplar, they are rude and cant be bothered with you. 901 employees actually are thankful that u are there and will assist you at all costs. Great store!
This is the place my daughter Loves. I go in there also, but not as much as she does. The owners are Very Nice and Pleasant. They appreciate their customers. As this is privately owned and operated, they strive to be the best of the best. Their Good Customer service keeps their customers coming back. 😃😃😃😃
We live in Missouri, but it’s the best comic book store I’ve come across. Great selection! Owners are super nice and knowledgeable.
Why buy comics anywhere else. This place rocks! He and his staff have a good knowledge and have never steered me wrong. They also do a live video chat called... doing stuff in the back. Always fun to watch, join in the chat and maybe win prizes. Stop reading this and get to the store!

Ordered from their online store. Great selection of comics and figures that are not available in other online retail so I highly recommend checking it out. Recieved my order in a few days! Will defenitely visit the actual store someday when I happen to be in Memphis...someday...

The customer service is terrible. The shop never responses when you email a question using the contact form on its website. There isnt enough parking, so you end up parking near two blocks away. The phone system is usually down, so you cant get anyone on the phone to answer a question. Ive had chronic problems with this shops over the last eight months. This isnt a once or twice situation. There is definitively room for improvement when it comes to 901 Comics customer service.Update01/21/2020 -- 3 p.m.If there is a problem with spam, why does your shop still have the form on your site. It is a waste of time if no one is reading the messages, and people arent getting a response to their questions.Yes, Ive had the correct phone number and store hours, but I couldnt understand why no one was answering the phone. I live Downtown so walking to your shop isnt possible. I check all parking lots--including the one behind your shop--and they are always packed. Im exploring alternatives like shopping at a store in East Memphis and buying online. I want to support local business but right now your shop is too inconvenient to patronize. Ill wait a year and give 901 Comics another chance in 2021.

Wide selection, good prices! Found a lot of titles weve never run across before. Small space that can make it hard to get to/look thru (like their variants) so be prepared to throw in a little elbow grease!
Visiting from out of town and stopped into Shannons shop, and i have to say that I am very happy that we did. It is a great store, well laid out and very nice. Shannon is exceptionally nice and very helpful. I would recommend anyone stop in to check it to talk with the crew.
In from out of town and wanted to grab Action 1000. Not a bad comic shop. Pretty easy to navigate and sells some indie titles Ive never seen, which is good. Very nice back issue area as well. Surrounding area appears to be going through a renovation...901 fits in perfectly.

Just passing through town and wanted to check out the local flavors. A great little comic book shop. Lots of comics and memorabilia. Prices were fantastic, and Im a cheapskate. The man behind the counter was super friendly. Highly recommend.

Great place with a large selection of comic books of all kinds, they have a few manga and some board game stuff as well. I got my crisis series from dc there along with deadly class and superior spiderman and d&d stuff at a good price with amazing guys running it. Its also on a great spot in midtown. Couldnt recommend it more, its a local shop with good guys and a huge selection!!!!!!!!!
I was looking for comics to use in the classroom and got so much help. I will definitely be back and pass along their business card. This place is one of many jewels that makes Memphis a great place to visit.

My wife and I were traveling through Memphis on a Saturday and looked up a book store to go check out. Came across this place and was pleasantly surprised with how nice the store was! Harry helped us out and was a delight to deal with. Ended up with an awesome Wonder Woman and Deadpool statues that will look great in our office. Once again thank you Harry!
Great place to pick up comic books and comic book collectible items. Really nice staff and owners who care about their customers. Also, a really nice board game and card game selection, as well as, monthly comic book clubs and game nights.

This is one of my favorite places to hang out in Memphis. Shannon and Amanda and the rest of the staff are knowledgeable and friendly, and unlike a lot of comic book or gaming stores Ive visited, they arent at all snobbish about it. They have a great selection of comics, and if you want something they dont have theyll do whatever they can to find it for you. Probably my favorite thing about 901 Comics, however, is the big selection of tabletop games. Plus, they have a great thing set up where you can come in with a group, rent a tabletop game to play in their back room, and get credit towards purchasing thanks game if you liked it. Absolutely the place to go if youre interested in getting into gaming, or just looking for some cool comic book, gaming, or Stan Lee signed paraphernalia. Cannot recommend highly enough.
This has to be my favorite comic shop in the city! Excellent collections! If I had the time I could easily spend hours looking through those bins! The service is absolutely excellent as well!
Excellent supply of action figures, older comics, and Funko Pops. My family loves going to 901 Comics. Prices are reasonable.
I was surprised. Quaint and quiet and you can have a nice conversation with people who know their comics. And not the snobby types you see at a lot of places.
Wow! This is pretty much the only place I would ever recommend to anyone in town or out of town as far as collectibles and comics. Place is well stocked and has unimaginable selection and great events and discounts regularly

How can you go wrong? From comics, to t-shirts, board games, toys, this place has it all at great prices and the friendliest, most knowledgeable people you will find in a comic book store. Consider your inner child safe here, you will lost time exploring the shelves and the back room, as well as the inevitable lengthy conversations you are bound to get into.
This is the first comic book shop that is worth getting to by car plus its in a good spot to access it. The owner has a long wall of comic books that are worth searching over - New releases and back issues from last releases. Big bouns to the store has 7 shelves full of graphic novels divided into each comic book company that makes it easy to look for certain teams or solo heroes from any comics company. Now for the finale, the back room is filled with various board games and graphic novels not found on the shelves in front of the store and the ultimate paradise are the $.50 bargain boxes alphabetically done from A to Z. Yes $.50 a comics in boxes under the tables and not a cent more unless you pay the full price for comics in the box on the top of the tables. So worth the trip!
This is a great comic book store. They have a great selection. Small store but they have it packed. There is not a lot of other stuff. They have a pretty good selection of collectible stuff, signed comics and the like.
They always have the latest products and comic books and I always find what Im looking for when I go.

Just wanted to put this on here, 901 comics is a genuinely great store. Went in today and found some comics that shouldn’t have been in the 50 cent box, but the guys gave them to me for .50 anyway. I don’t know a lot of stores that would do that. I will be a customer for as long as I collect comics.

Great little shop in the Cooper-Young district. Lots of back issues and of course a selection of new arrivals as well. Nice selection of Funko Pop figures, variety of Action figures and other collectables. They also have signed/certified comics and graded comics. A really great bunch of Graphic novels too. Look forward to going again and digging through some back issues for hidden gems!
