There was only one cashier but 3 or 4 other workers standing around talking about non related work things. Was so hard to get assistance looking for items in the store! Do better!

Ummm what is there not to like about this place? I try to go 30 minutes before the store closes so that I have to start shopping or else I’m in there for hours hours but it’s so fun and happy

Editing to say that having looked at other reviews, this has happened to multiple black women. Shop elsewhere if you are a black woman.-My wife and I decided not to make a purchase after being followed around the entire shop today. I get that there are security concerns, that people make poor decisions and steal but it definitely felt like I was being racially profiled. When we arrived initally, we were greeted warmly and sought advice on cleansers. After some somewhat aggressive pitches, I felt obligated to accept the product but informed my wife that I wasnt certain that I wanted it so we decided to walk around and look for a specific brand. We were then trailed by a store associate throughout the entire store until we just decided to leave. It was a very uncomfortable experience. Ultimately, I wouldnt recommend this location.

Everything was great except they forgot to put an item we paid for in our bag. But my daughter called and they are going to hold it for me.

I didnt catch the ladys name that helped me today, but she recommended and helped me shade a dark concealer to use as a contour. She was knowledgeable and Im very happy with the concealer!

When I walked in I was greeted and asked if I need help. I responded with hi and no thank you. I came in to see if they had the hair products I use. They did but I changed my mind in the process of looking. Then all of the sudden 4 employees appeared and were watching my every move. This really made me upset I didn’t even have a purse so what was I going to steal if that’s what they are worried about. I’m tired of experiencing this level of discomfort in an establishment that profits off people who look like me.

Ridiculous!!!The only reason I gave 1 star is because I found what was looking for. But the customer service get NO STARS! I made it from the entrance, to the back of the store and back to the front of the store WITHOUT being Acknowledged. I stood on one isle for I know a good 10 minutes,was passed by two employees and NOT ONE of them asked if I needed help. Finally, I approached a girl and asked if she worked there (I couldnt tell because of her attire) and with an attitude said uh huh. After getting no clear answer from her other than if we have it itll be upfront, I went up front to check out. Upfront the employees were more interested in their conversation than checking me out. After they, I guess, got to a good stopping point, the employee then WAVED me over and begin to check me out. No, how are you or did you find everything ok.... nothing! I paid for my items said thank you and left. This was my first time going to Ulta on Poplar and I absolutely will NOT be returning unless things change. This was unacceptable!!!

I come to this location all the time. I usually get really good service. The last time I came I could not get assistance but I ended up finding what I wanted. Today all the workers were worked up about some rude customers. I asked for help from a couple of people but their conversation amongst each other was more important and made me feel as if I bothered them. There was only 3 customers in the store including me at the time and about 4 associates. I liked it better when the store was a little more diverse which evened the atmosphere. Customer satisfaction is definitely not a priority for these ladies that worked together. If Management cares about the reviews and want to know who was on schedule....my visit was on 5/21/19 at 230pm. Luckily there are other locations so I will try the one in Cordova closer to home. This location is convenient from my job. The reason I gave 2 stars is because they carry great brands but they are never stocked when I go to this location.

Sat outside for 20 minutes waiting for curbside pickup. Finally went inside to see 2 associates leaning against the counter doing nothing. Not a good look.

Disappointed in competence of stylist at salon: probably the worst haircut I have ever had. Never has a stylist insisted on cutting my hair dry. Next time I will insist on a higher level of skill, not basic stylist.

I live in MS and will drive to this location any day over the Southaven location. Not only are these Ladies beautiful but very polite and helpful. Ive never been offered assistance in MS. Very beautiful store.

AVOID! WARNING: My wife took my daughter over to Ulta Beauty for a $13 dollar trim after spending the morning deep conditioning and straightening her hair and left Ulta beauty with a $40 bill for their services. With no explanation or warning charged my wife for additional services. $10 additional for touching my daughters already straight hair with a flat iron for a few strands.After hearing this when she got home we called the store again and spoke with a salon manager. Thinking maybe this could be a misunderstanding. She offered no apology for any mistakes or attempt to understand the situation but only further lied about services provided during the visit in saying they straightened my daughters entire head.

Stephanie is the absolute best. Shes being doing my hair for a long time. She was on schedule for my appointment and got me in and out.

I never leave negative reviews. But this was seriously the WORST salon experience I’ve EVER had. The girl tells me as she’s cutting my hair into a pixie cut- “geez I haven’t done this since school and that was years ago”. It was downhill from there. Not to mention. My appointment (that I booked well over a week ago) was at 11:45. I didn’t leave the salon until 4:00pm. I had a quick root touch up for color and a haircut. It was insane. Two hours to cut my hair. It was awful and my hair is so bad. Ugh. Now I have to go find someone to try and salvage it tomorrow.

Always get great assistance here and can always find more than I meant to come in for.

When I arrived I asked for several things (sugarpill makeup, KKW fragances...) and 1. The staff didnt have a clue what I was talking about 2. They were quite slow and not very helpful. Furthermore, everywhere was written Kylies cosmetics had 30% discount but when I went to paid they told me that offer hadnt started yet... So why put it everywhere then???

I love this place anytime I need makeup Im at Ulta. They have a wonderful staff and plenty of different varieties for all different skin tones. Go to Ulta you wont be disappointed.

I had my hair cut and styled at this place, I provided a photo of a high stacked reverse bob which I was told by the hair dresser she could do. The back of my hair looks NOTHING like what I requested period!!! I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Worst customer service ever. Store full of employees with no interest in helping customers, and there werent but 5 or 6 customers at that time. No one was getting helped. Everything was out of stock, and they acted as if it was an inconvenience for us to ask questions. Spent over eight hundred in IT make up out of need. From now on we will only use the Tupelo Ms store. Extremely poor management of employees, and store. Corporate should look in to this location. They can check register sales for around 5 PM on Jan 4th 2019. We were very disappointed. Had we not been out of town and needed it we would have went somewhere else.

I went there for a microdermabrasion facial with Joyce. It was absolutely fabulous! Joyce was very pleasant and explained everything step by step. She made me very comfortable. She gave me suggestions on how to treat me skin at home and did not try to upsell me on unnecessary products. I can see a difference in my skin and will be going to see Joyce at least once a month.

I love shopping in the store but do NOT go to the hair salon! I went in there to get a blonde balayage and came out with the worst BROWN balayage service. You can still CLEARLY see bits and pieces of my own hair. On top of making me pay the price for a FULL balayage even though it was PARTIALLY done. The workers there knew he wasn’t doing a good job and still tried to play it off. Don’t go to Tony.

Ulta as a store is great. Ulta as a salon, not so much. 😒 My first time there Jakiera cut my hair. She took my walk-in which was great to me but she as a result had a woman who had an appointment wait for almost an hour. The cut she did was pretty good but I felt bad that woman had to wait. My second experience was today. I went in to see her again because I was pretty pleased last time. Plus, I like to be a loyal repeat customer. She was 40 minutes late to work. Then, to add to insult, she took a personal friend who walked in 20 minutes after me BEFORE me. Unbelieveable. Completely unprofessional. Once I realized she had taken her friend before me, I walked up to another hair dresser and asked if she was available for the $48 appointment I made. Bless her. She stayed an hour over so that I wouldnt have to wait any longer. She did about the same quality of work. I was more so happy she was helping me at this point. I paid $50 for cut, style, and deep condition...which was basically just leaving the conditioner in longer. No heated cap like the time before. 🤔 The person who was taken before me was under it (mind you, theres just one dryer and another woman was waiting for it). My total time there was about 2 hours. The person who was taken before me was still having her hair done by the time I left. Everyone there was very friendly but I just cannot get over the fact that I waited that long and was disregarded for someone who did not have an appointment. I guess the best suggestion I can make for anyone who goes to this location for a haircut is make sure to set aside 2 to 3 hours for possible wait time. Dont bank on any appointment you make actually being what you planned it to be. Also, be weary of what you are asking for service wise. If I knew I was going to be charged $10 for conditioner to be left on for a little bit longer than usual I would not have asked for that service.

Used to have a really good impression on this store, until I met the WORST cashier last weekend. At first, she stood aside playing with her iPad, let me just stand there and wait. Then she came to check out for me, no greeting, bad attitude. Just BAD. The holiday hours are posted online and on the front doors of this store. The team members at this location, about 5+ people, deliberately kept the outer doors locked at least half an hour past this time. I managed to make it inside to make a purchase. While I was waiting to check out, a customer walked up and pulled the outer doors but they were still locked. One of the team members made comments about how upset she seemed, but no one unlocked or opened the door for the customer. The customer eventually left. I also checked the current temperature and at this time it was 19 degrees outside. I was very disappointed by the behavior, lack of customer service and empathy of these team members.

The Ulta in Memphis TN on Popular is extremely rude and unprofessional ... when you ask for help they would walk off or no one was on the floor to help . The guy who checked me out was cocky ... I complimented on how his makeup looked that day and asked what concealer he used for his eyes and he got an attitude about it like he didn’t want me to know what he used . Lol . His makeup was okay but it wasn’t the best thing I’ve seen . Lol . I will not go to the Ulta on popular again every time I go there I don’t feel happy when I come out .
