My course instructor was Billy. Very down to earth guy, experienced, and knowledgeable with the course subject. He applied real world scenarios and allowed us students to think of better ways of assessing specific situations that involve gun use. Highly recommend everyone to take a course at Shoot Point Blank Memphis!

Ruben is very knowledgeable and you can tell he truly enjoys teaching about the proper use of firearms and self defense. Hes good at it. He did a terrific job teaching the fundamentals as he moved at a slow enough pace for beginners to grasp what we were doing and learning before moving on to the next step. Thanks Ruben!

Always a great class. The instructors are helpful and nice. Very useful information for real world scenarios and unfortunate events. Low pressure type of environment and not super technical. I highly recommend the classes here to everyone.

I had my first safety course today and Billy was an amazing instructor, he helped me come out of my shell and reassured me of my doubts. He made sure by the end up the course I did not have questions. He talked me through every step inside the range and let me fire when I was comfortable. I plan to return soon to continue my courses with him. Definitely recommend him as your instructor.

We had so much fun. It was awesome. Our teacher Joe was amazing. The once a month Ladies Day Class was very informative. You should definitely try it out. Class is from 9A-11A. We went the day before Mothers Day. We showed up pretty on our pink. We had a BLAST.

My wife and I did a basic class with Ruben Ramirez as our instructor. Ruben made the class extremely fun. Ruben was very very knowledgeable and informative. He took time once we got to the range to insure everyone was comfortable and safe with their weapons.We had a blast and are looking forward to our next class with him. Hopefully concealed carry permit class. This range is a 20 out of 5. I ended up buying a new weapon from George who was equally as great as Ruben. Love this place sooo much.

Excellent class, David Reeves was the instructor and did a great job of going over the basics and safety for overview- then getting right into more advanced handgun use and technique.I came away from the class feeling much more knowledgeable and comfortable carrying my handgun for self protection. When asked, he also took the time to give me better breakdown and cleaning tips as well.

As a hard of hearing individual, the instructor made sure I was included in the class discussion and also made sure I was able to receive all of the information. It was actually easy and smooth the whole entire time. Overall, I enjoyed the class and learned a lot. Can’t wait to sign up for the next class.

I am a legal immigrant. I am well within my rights to own a firearm in the US. Two different gunstores gave me the run around when trying to purchase a firearm including one that told my wife they would have to contact ICE for me to be able to purchase a firearm. Mind you, I have a green card and am in the united states LEGALLY.Point blank made the entire process as painless as possible. One phone call and about an 2 hour wait time was all it took for me to become a legal firearm owner for the first time in 20 years. These people know what they are doing. Super professional, friendly, courteous and going well above and beyond making me feel welcome throughout the entire process. Well done. I cannot praise the personnel of this store highly enough. A+!

The website need to be more informative as to what to what to do to get ready for class.Rubin did a good job in the classroom and on the range.Billy what was arrogant and rude. Wouldn’t let us choose which gun we wanted to use on the range.We didn’t have enough earmuffs for the class.The class seem unorganized with the two instructors tell One thing and the other one tell somthing elseThey did not show us how to break down the gunsAlso had “FOUR “ rented guns misfire or not work at all do toimproper cleaning probably.You need to be doing a better Job than what you doing!

Shoot Point Blank Memphis is great! I attended the Enhanced CCW class with Joe White as the facilitator (and Billy helping on the range portion). Joe is very enthusiastic about guns, gun safety, and the law. He welcomes/encourages questions and if he doesnt know the answers he will make sure to get it. It was a long class (part classroom/part range time), but it didnt seem long. There is a lot of information and Joe makes it interesting and relatable. He and Billy are super patient and very helpful in range. I look forward to other classes there, and I would definitely recommend them.

The handgun safety class was very informative and having the instructor continuously walk by and help when needed during range time was great.

My sister and I went to Point Blank Range this evening and was absolutely taken away by how the customer service was absolutely superb. Mr. Dre was getting off work but as I asked him about firearms for myself he stopped, answered ally questions, and went over and beyond to help me find the perfect firearm. Ms. Kimberlie got my paperwork taken care of and she was also a huge help. Mr. Ruben even came over to answer questions that I had concerning firearms and to inform me of the correct posture when holding a firearm. The Manager even helped me pick out a holster and a lock box for my firearm that I purchased. The 4 employees were very pleasant, informative, and knowledgeable when it came to all of the firearms and accessories in the store. I will always come and spend money here, where people are not afraid to give Great Customer Service which Ive heard Guns and Ammo arent as pleasant and I am so glad I did not go there. Thank you all for going above and beyond for my sister and I.

I am so pleased thus far with the interactions I have had with the staff at Point Blank. I forgot the gentlemans name but he is retired from the Navy - he sold me my first gun. I was so nervous about the process, not knowing what to expect, but he was so polite, calm, and informative. When I was back a week later, he remembered me and was still friendly. I went back for a private lesson with Melissa and she is amazing!! She taught me everything I needed to know from parts of the gun, how to take it apart, clean and oil it, aiming, stance, and real life scenarios on defending yourself. She is definitely an asset to this store. I will definitely be back for more classes and probably more gun purchases as well. Thanks Point Blank!

The class was helpful and informative for a novice shooter like me. The instructor was knowledgeable and patient with students that were less experienced.

I like the people working there and the range is fine but extremely angry about the $85 theyre charging to transfer guns. I believe it was always $40 before and thats why I sent the gun there. Its 5 minutes of paper work and something that Ive never seen cost more than $40 to do and its always included the $10 background check. I dont know how they can justify charging that kind of money.

I am new to firearms. I purchased my handgun after attending an Intro to Handgun class. Josh is an outstanding instructor. I selected a Premium Membership so that I can reserve range time as well as bring a friend as my guest. The facility is well-designed and wide-open. The staff is polite and knowledgeable - always willing to help a beginner like me.

I took a class the other night from Ruben Ramirez and he was amazing. I was a little nervous but his insight, knowledge, and sense of humor helped me tremendously. I would definitely recommend Ruben if you want to truly gain insight about gun safety, and operation. He is hands on in the classroom and out on the range.

I received excellent service while I was trying to pick out a pistol that would be of best service to my daughter who has Arthritis in her hands. She is unable to manipulate most pistol slides without significant difficulty. We finally selected a Smith & Wesson Shield EZ 9mm. He was very patient and answered all our questions. I had never fired a weapon before ever, so I needed a lot of help at the range. I was really nervous and he calmed me down. Was there about 2 weeks ago. new to the competition shooting world and Chris R was so kind to take the time to help me understand what I wanted and what to look out for while shopping for a pistol. I told him that I may be unfamiliar with some terminology but Chris R respectfully paved the road for me ahead. He not only showed me guns but humbly educated a new shooter. Will definitely be back .

This is a nice looking range with a good selection of gun related items. However, it is NOT anything but a place to do bulls-eye type shooting. I attempted to shoot there recently and after going through their lengthy registration that day, I decided this is not the place I can develop and maintain my self-defense skills. The store requires much more personal information that they need to rent me a shooting lane. Also, they have restrictions on what you can wear. For instance, you are not permitted to wear sandals! They say thats to keep me from burning my toes with hot brass! Has the management there never shot? Is it being run by a group of lawyers? With this attitude I suspect they may also not permit v-neck shirts and may bar those shooters not wearing a hat. As far as shooting goes, one cannot have his gun it its holster, cannot draw and fire, and there are probably other restrictions that prevent one from maintaining SD handgun skills.If you are only interested in bulls-eye type shooting this is probably a fine place. But it you have a gun for SD and want to maintain your skills, this is definitely NOT the place.

Shoot Point Blank is a great range. Its well-maintained, has good hours, is well-staffed, and has pretty good pricing.The negatives:1) I have only had ONE problem at Shoot Point Blank (dealing with an incorrect charge on a transaction) and its because I was helped by a rather inexperienced employee. Once I spoke with a veteran, my issue was handled speedily. Its almost not worth docking them a star, but I feel I need to be honest. It wasnt perfect, but it was as close as it could be.The positives:1) They have great hours.2) They offer classes, classes, and more classes.3) The staff is EXPERIENCED. Their employees are almost ALL law enforcement or armed forces experienced.4) They are quick to offer special ordering if they dont have what you want.5) Their membership is SO beneficial. I can shoot for free (minus cost for ammo and targets, which I can bring from home OR purchase at the range), any day, any time they are open. I get a discount (5%) on everything except firearms. They have a special register line JUST for their members...kind of awesome. Oh...and I get free firearm rentals. Thats...FREE.6) They are friendly. Rarely do I walk in without getting a Hello! Welcome to Shoot Point Blank, and the staff remembers their customers. They are always ready to discuss any issue or curiosity their customers may have regarding firearms.7) LAST BUT NEVER LEAST...their primary concern is safety. They have safety officers on the range at all times, who will assist in the event of a jam, misfire, or other malfunction. They check vision and hearing protection before allowing their customers into the range. When it comes to practices like drawing from a holster and shooting, they do not allow it during general range use, but DO have a class where they teach it and allow the practice of it. Every once in a while, the range safety officers see a dangerous practice and squash it immediately. If its bad, they excuse the shooter from the range to keep everyone else safe.I highly recommend Shoot Point Blank.

Customer service is terrible. They answer the phone and have you on hold forever and never get back with you. Whoever is working currently doesn’t take the time to hear out the customer. She just put me directly on hold. Terrible. They can’t be that busy.

Sent someone to look at a pistol i saw on the website, same gun was almost $300 extra in the store. Im trying to figure out if its the taxes or price gouging because of the community of people they sale firearms to.

Great store, I have had guns transferred to this store and alao have purchased guns from this store. Always friendly service and happy to answer questions. This is a great gun range as well, rent or bring your own.

Shoot Point Blank is an OK experience depending on who you deal with. It’s a volume dealer, and every time I’m there, I see plenty of new employees who replaced poor performers. Which means half the time, people are unable to help and instead say “I’m new”. Some of the employees I encountered are not experienced enough to be selling guns and make blatantly inaccurate or dangerous statements. One employee was unable to manipulate the firearms. My first experience at Point Blank was terrible and the situation was only rectified after I sent a complaint to corporate. The next several experiences weren’t so bad. But this past week, I had another awful experience. I emailed the manager who didn’t ask for specifics, such as who I spoke to or when I visited the store. He knew there was a problem and shrugged it off. So a corporate complaint is the only way to go if you have issues. I get the impression that Point Blank doesn’t focus on the individual customer experience as long as the stores meet their quotas.

I want to thank District Manager Mr Rich for his quick response to my complaint. The very next day he reached out to hear about my complaint and how he could hey it resolved. I then went into the location and was able to successfully trade in the gun. Also, I would like to thank Brian Ngyen for being so helpful with the purchase of the gun. His knowledge and professionalism was on point. Actually he suggested the same gun Me Rich suggested that I would like. Well I feel that was an excellent choice. Thank you guys so much.

Traded and bought from them recently. Enthusiastic gun-lovers working there. Selection is great. They found a way to put my deal together. Range is a bit tight in the booth and could be a bit brighter. Overall a joy to shoot there. 5 range passes for 60$ deal is the best in Memphis short of getting a membership, unless you want to shoot at the TWRA range- no heat, no a/c- ouch. Highly recommended.

New facility, safe environment, friendly/helpful staff. Signed up for monthly membership after bring ripped off when Range USA abruptly closed their doors. Really like the secure range stalls and the presence of a safety official at all times. Go weekly and have the pleasure of getting to know a lot of the staff, always friendly and helpful.

I had an okay experience. The people working can come off pretty snotty if you haven’t shot a firearm before, but they can be very helpful if you ask questions and are serious about learning. Pretty much on your own if you haven’t taken the class before. They have classes they offer at various levels. What I enjoyed the most were how helpful the fire safety men were in the room who helped my friend and I out the most and made it enjoyable versus before, we were confused and barely anything was explained at checkout.

Bought first firearm since getting out of the military, so i had an idea of what I wanted. The lady was wonderful and her husband actually retired from navy. They didnt try to sell me anything extra or more expensive then what I wanted, also got a free range coupon and look forward to using it soon. Highly recommend this place.

Ive been in this store several times and every single time I was greeted promptly and by a friendly smile. I have purchased 3 firearms from here and they are all perfect. The staff is not only friendly but very knowledgable of their products. I had extensive conversations with Brandy about my firearm purchases and she had all the answers I needed. The store is super clean and very well organized and the prices of the firearms are fair and they price match any advertised price, cant beat that. Their ammo and range memberships are well priced and their range is super nice and well supervised to keep the yahoos under control. This is my new favorite place and I highly recommend you go in and see for yourself.

Took my wife there on a date night and Al B and Will and the rest of the crew did a great job. They lane assistant was also very helpful as well. They were running a special on ammo so we bought a few boxes for later. Overall its a nice friendly facility and with a good staff. We went in on a Sunday evening and wasnt too crowded. I would recommend this range for sure.

Bought my first rifle here. Not sure if he is still there but the sales clerk I believe was William, walked me through every single step for a first one buyer. I think I spent about an hour here selecting my first firearm, the accessories, and the cleaning supplies and ammo. Very courteous and took his time to make sure I got what I wanted, will definitely be back.

Expansive new gun store and shooting range in Memphis just off of the I-40 freeway.Visited on the first day of their grand opening weekend to check out the place and what they have to offer. First thing I noticed is how open and well-lit the entire floor is. The staff were very friendly, which is not always guaranteed at gun shops/ranges.The range doesn’t have a lot of lanes like some other places in town. However, the rental guns that they have are top-notch and include some of the latest offerings from different brands.The prices for the rental guns are very reasonable. They don’t insist (I think) that you should their ammo, just that you don’t shoot certain rounds that can damage the range.The range membership fees are a bit steep, but that takes into account the state-of-the-art design of their range. They do offer classes with good rates.Definitely a place worth visiting if one is looking to get into firearms for sport or self-defense.
