Everyone was kind. I was acknowledge when I walked into the store and was helped within a reasonable amount of time. The man who helped me tighten my glasses when I picked them up was great!! Didnt catch his name, but he was very polite.

I’ve been to this location a few times and I’ve noticed every single time I go it seems to lessen and lessen in quality. You will not be greeted or told goodbye, the customer service is appalling. The front desk lady was nice and mostly friendly, the lady with the red bad extensions and bad crusty eyelashes was extremely rude, I couldn’t imagine coming into the store again with the room filling attitude that she had! I would hope they wouldn’t treat other people like how I was treated.

I recently called into Visionworks and was answered by someone named Travis. Travis was extremely unprofessional and made me feel quite stupid on the phone. When explaining that I am a college student and didn’t have time to drive all the way to their shop, Travis responded with, “I’ve completed my associates degree, its not that bad”. I don’t normally leave reviews however, Travis was classles when speaking to customers on the phone.

Up until now I have been happy with my glasses though I thought them a bit pricey even after insurance. Id been assured at purchase time a few months ago that they had a year warranty. However, today when I brought my pair back with a damaged lense (stress fracture by the corner edge of the frame) I was told there was no warranty without an extra care plan purchase. They offered to replace the lense for an additional $80 which is ridiculous on top of the money already spent!

Awful service and very lazy personal. Thankfully I dont have a chance to try their glasses quality because I was asked to get out from the store because it was 10 minutes before they closed. Advice for future - best stores works till the last client. If you want to limit the numbers of client before closing - please close the door and say - no new clients allowed. Otherwise store considered opened until it opened. Personal rejected my requests to provide information about available appointments and even doesnt show me the direction to man frames. Also my friends tried the service - as a result the paid twice for junk frame. So, everyone - please avoid this place.

I had to ask the receptionist to put her mask above her nose. I have to be extra careful now due to living with someone who is now immune incompromised. Since they are working in the medical field I would think it shouldnt even have to be mentioned. The rest of the staff were more professional and wore their masks properly. I was told I need a slight prescription for my right eye and even less for my left. I had picked out a pair of glasses while waiting for the second half of my exam, just in case I would need a pair. I told them I will not be buying them today and would wait till I get a second opinion from a family memeber who is an retired optometrist. He told me that I really didnt need them. Will never go again due to this happening 2 years ago too. I bought a pair of glasses and sunglasses from them only to be told that they are basically reading glasses. I do not trust them and will be going to a clinic with a doctor who I feel actually cares about my well being and not just having me put out money for a pair of glasses I dont need.

I was very satisfied with everything at my eye appointment today. It had been about 30 years since my last appointment - I had no idea what to expect. Every part of the exam was clearly explained. The staff and doctor were friendly and took the time to answer all my questions and even engage in some random small talk. There was no hard sell on ANYTHING. 10/10 would go again

Note to visionsworks, if you ignore and mistreat you customers, dont worry, theyll go away.I wasnt going to say anything until I heard this store praised by a favorite radio personality today. He was wrong. Ive been with Visionworks off and on for the past 10 years, but have now quit.I walked into the store a few months ago to find out what exam, glasses, and frames would cost on my new insurance plan. I did not recieve a welcoming greeting, recieved the words do you have an appointment? I then find out Id need an appointment just to get a general quote (I didnt believe that. I think I was dealing with a lazy employee.)I made an appointment for an exam and glasses for the following Wednesday. When I showed up I was met with the same words, do you have an appointment? (Hmmmmm, must be company policy l). I said yes, but they told me I didnt. If this sounds like a lot of work for nothing, youd be right.I went home, called the competition, had an appointment for that same day, and had my new eyewear that Friday.For a success story, see my review at Good Hope Vision Center (just down the road).

A year ago I did write a review saying how much I really enjoyed my experience but after today I am changing my mind. I booked my appointment a year ago but apparently that does not matter and they will double book you. Then you are expected to change your appointment. After speaking with the manager, who quite frankly seemed to not care about customer service, I decided it was best to not reschedule my appointment and go somewhere else. Im sure there is another company that would be happy to have my business. I too work in customer service and we always put our customers first - sad that the manager at this Visionworks did not.

Called yesterday to set up a new patient appointment because they had one of the higher reviews in my area. I was excited to find out that they had availability as soon as the next day too! Unfortunately, they are not in network with my insurance but was considering keeping the appointment because of my current concerns with my vision (I’ve never needed glasses but it’s been years since I’ve seen an eye doctor and my vision has started to change) and my primary recommending I see an eye doctor. However, the woman I spoke with on the phone to set this all up was very short and rude with me. While I was willing to pay out of pocket to get care and the availability they had was amazing, I decided to look elsewhere due to my first experience just on the phone wasn’t great.

I am writing this review at 5:05 as I wait for my 4:00 annual eye check up to start. I took off work early to make this appointmemt. The doctors are good but the staff is so incredibly slow. It has been like this for 2-3 years. Mind blowing to witness year after year. It took 10 minutes for someone to get me signed in at front desk. 40 minutes after that they had me do the pre-doctor check where they do depth perception and color blind testing. Staff does not care that they are slow. No concern for the customer. Employees need to be replaced if they do not value their job. ALSO - my appointment was originally scheduled for last week but they booked someone else in my appointment! I confirmed my appointment via text and email, showed up for my appointment and they did not understand why I was there. Again, it was my fault I showed up for my appointment. I had to reschedule my appointment that I showed up for! For a week later. Just a mess. I have great insurance and will gladly move to a new place!

Excellent customer service from start to finish. Kathy helped me pick out my glasses and gave good feedback to help me find the best pair for me. In addition, she looked at how she could save me the most money based on their current specials and my insurance coverage. All of the staff, including eye doctor were top notch and I would recommend this location highly!They will make you feel like the highlight in their day not an interruption.

Got an eye exam August 2019 and had a terrible experience so I didnt make another appointment. Suddenly this week, Sept 2020, I started getting appointment confirmation texts for an appointment I definitely did not make. Tried calling all week and would just be stuck on hold. I gave each call 10+ minutes until I just gave up. Finally, I found the online customer service chat and got it taken care of. Unfortunately, the employees at this store dont know how to answer the phone.

The Menomonee Falls store will be our go-to in the future.We were customers at the West Bend location for many years. However, we appreciate great customer service and a couple of our last visits were unsatisfactory there.It will be more of a drive to Menomonee Falls, but worth it!

I switched from glasses to contacts. Visionworks set up a class for me. As I have never worn them before. It was tricky getting them in and out, but Jen and the rest of the ladies were super patient and helpful with me until I got the hang of it. The Optometrist was terrific as well, helping me through the transition. Excellent all around! Wonderful people!!

I just want to recognize Haley the manager who helped me today with my glasses. I can never seem to find glasses that fit right and that don’t slide down. She was so kind, patient and professional. She took the time to spend almost an hr with me to help me find two perfect pairs. She made sure it was the right size so I didn’t have the same issues. No place has ever gone in such detail with sizes and helping me select. She even helped another employee who seemed to be new with an insurance she was trying to understand. She was so patient and kind. There needs to be more managers like her. She balanced a busy store and helping where ever she was needed while I still felt like she took the time out for me. She built such a great relationship with me and we even had some good laughs. She made me feel so comfortable. Hands down best experience I’ve ever had. I hate shopping for glasses I dread it every year. But today, it was a great experience and I’m glad she was there to help me! I hope she is recognized for her hard work and leadership at the store! Thanks Haley for all that you did for me! Can’t wait to get my new glasses! :)

Nancy fixed my bifocal glasses that I havent been able to wear for a year saving me a couple hundred dollars on a new pair of glasses. She was so helpful and friendly. The eye doctor was amazing too. Was in there a month ago for a eye and contact exam. The doctor was great and answered any questions I had. And I want to give a big shout out to the girl who helped me (Carissa) after my exam to pick out glasses. She helped me look at multiple glasses and helped me figure out which ones I liked the best! Apparently the store doesnt allow you to taste test their lenses or contacts, which is a big factor for me when purchasing eyewear. If they dont taste right or cut my tongue during my world-famous Sloosh Test, then theyre not for me. Otherwise, the service was perfect. The staff were great in finding a nice pair of glasses for me. And while its supposedly socially unacceptable to taste the frames, they look and feel great.

It’s unfortunate that customer service doesn’t take extra care or concern for upcoming appointments. I scheduled an appointment over my lunch break (which Visionworks knew) for just a quick prescription recheck. They were running at least a half hour behind. This wouldn’t have been an issue if they had called to alert me of this and I could have rescheduled or could have arrived later to “accommodate” for this. Instead I wasn’t aware until I was sitting there for a half hour and had to leave without seeing the doctor. Unhappy experience and won’t be coming back to not only this location, but any Visionworks location in the future.

Carissa and team provided a fun experience for me and my husband! When selecting glasses, Carissa took the time to carefully explain the various options which allowed us to make an informed decision when considering the premium lens offerings. In fact, she pulled out 2 pairs of her personal glasses to allow my husband to see the difference between the HD and polycarbonate lens materials before we committed to upgrading to the HD option - THANKS CARISSA! 2 years ago I went to here because my old vision doctor wasn’t covered under my insurance. They gave me a whole new prescription that day. When I got it, I had a LOT of trouble focusing and seeing in the dark (I still do). I took it back and asked them to recheck me because I felt it was the wrong prescription. I was told that they were within my parameters and that my eyes would get used to it. Even when I pushed for it to be checked and changed, they told me I was wrong and that my eyes would eventually get used to it (they didn’t).Today I finally got to see my old doctor, who looked at my prescription, ran her tests, and figured out what the other place did.Apparently Visionworks diagnosed me with astigmatism, which I never had previously, and gave me the wrong prescription on top of it. To make matters worse, they put the astigmatism correction in the right eye for my regular glasses and the left eye in my sunglasses.Topping that off with my dry eyes, no wonder my eyes have been a mess.The optometrists need to actually listen to their customers when there are concerns and take them seriously.I will not be using this company any further.

I cant say thank you enough to Dr. Orlich and his employees. I was having the worst eye problems and he fixed the issue and was very compassionate about what I was going through. The ladies up front were awesome as well. I have insurance through my employer but it is crappy so Carissa I believe is her name did everything on her power to get me the best deal and let me tell you she beat my insurance and saved me almost 300.00 dollars. Carissa and the girls were very helpful, the personell above this staff needs to work on there customer service problems. How in this day and age do you only have one machine for an eye doctor to perform an eye exam. I have been to other opticians in the area, where each doctors office has more than one machine. Other less repeatable eye care specialists have more machines than visionworks which I would consider a premier optician. I have had to reschedule my appointment 2 times due to a machine malfunction that they are waiting to have fixed. If it was not for these wonderful women working here today I would have walked out and never came back.

Horrible experience for me. I had my eye exam on 12/31. I had gone to a different VW location the year prior, so I gave this location my records from that visit. The doctor ultimately ended up ordering 2 different types of samples, one that I had previously been prescribed to at that location by a different doctor and the one that I had been in for the past year. He signed off on them both, leaving it up to me to decide which one to order. I went with the brand that I had been in for the past 12 months since it made sense. I have been experiencing some irritation, so I went in for an office visit on Monday. The doctor told me that my contacts were poisonous to my eye and that I had a pretty bad case of GPC that was probably brewing for a year or so. He wanted me to switch to dailies temporarily and go get Alaway drops. I called the following day to try to make sense of things a bit. I was told by the GM that the doctor was out of the office, but I should hear back that day still. I called back later because I still hadnt heard anything. I was told by the woman that the GM wasnt there and I would be lucky if I heard back from the doctor before he was back in the office on Friday. Mind you, I only had a 5-day trial of dailies at this point, was terrified to put my other contacts in, and had no idea how I was going to see in the foreseeable future since these would run out and shipping takes time. So, against my better judgment, I asked the woman on the phone some of what was confusing me so I could at least try to move forward with purchasing what I needed to to get by... like, how is the doctor telling me that my other contacts are poisonous to my eyes and this problem has been brewing for some time when he just saw me and signed a prescription for them? And why is he asking me to get Alaway when its an antihistamine/do I just have allergies? She was extremely rude to me and argued with me for a good 20 minutes about my medical history, insisting I had been in another contact brand and she was concerned about how I was able to order these other contacts this year or the previous year. I reminded her that her doctor signed off on this prescription, and she insisted that wasnt the case despite me saying I had the prescription in front of me with his signature on it. She proceeded to argue about why I was in those to begin with the prior year. I reminded her that I provided them with copies of my records from my other visit. She then said thats not their doctors fault I was put into those contacts and that I was in other contacts at their office previously. No, maam, its not his fault that I was switched to a different lens by a different doctor. But it is your doctors responsibility to do a thorough exam and be confident with what he authorizes as a prescription. Also, what I was fit for in your office 3 years ago under an entirely different doctor is not relevant whatsoever. I finally just asked if she had a # for me to speak to someone in corporate. She tried to connect me back with the GM who had already at this point not followed up with me. I said I would prefer the number for someone at corporate because none of what just happened seemed professional or like what should occur at a medical office. She asked me, What just happened? It is now Friday when the doc was set to be back. I have not heard from anyone. I know they have my correct contact information. I updated it on my form at the time of my visit and gave it again on Tuesday. I called back to speak to the GM and was told hes on vacation. The real kicker is that I had to actually go pay to see another person to get a grasp on what is going on since I could not get a response from this office within a reasonable time frame FOR A MEDICAL EMERGENCY. The new doctor confirmed that this definitely would have been visible in December during my exam and that the Alaway drops I bought were a waste of money because this is not an allergy situation. My visit on Monday and in December would warrant a refund at any business with integrity, but well see.

I visited Vision Works in Menomonee Falls this past Tuesday for the first time. I have tried several places over the last 20 years and I truly have to say that this Location gave the best customer service!From the time I walked to Dr Orlich doing my exam. He spent time with me and discussed and explained in terms I could understand why my prescriptions are what they are.Then it came time to pick my glasses and go over pricing. The part I usually hate. Nancy was a joy to work with. I wasn’t sure what I wanted or even would like. She went through the store and picked several pairs. And not the most expensive ones like most places do to up sale you. She was honest with how they looked on me and gave pros and cons on each pair. After we picked what I wanted it came to the pricing. Ughhh right... well Nancy broke it down for the buy one get one free, then what my insurance would cover. Well I wound up getting 2 pears using my insurance (better deal than buy one get one free) and the cost for both was less than I have ever paid for 1 pair.They would be done at 4 that day.Thanks Nancy!So I came back after 4. Nancy left for the but Carissa was working. She pulled my glasses and had me try on each and adjusted them for me. At the time they seemed right. Well over the evening and next morning I was not able to really using the reading part on my lenses. I went back and she adjusted again and now I can see perfectly out of them.But doesn’t end there I had to go back 1 more time as the bows were a bit tight behind my ears. When I walked in Carissa was standing up front and had a huge smile on her face. She then asked if I needed them adjusted again. Yes I did, and within seconds it was done.I will totally recommend this location to all my family and friends. So as long as I live in Wisconsin I will continue to come back!!One more thing... everyone had smiles on their faces and an upbeat attitude!! Key to get customer service!!Candace R

Rude and so unprofessional at check in desk. Im early to my appointment, according to what I was originally told, they say arrive 10 min early to fill out paperwork unless you submit it online prior to your appointment. I submitted all my paperwork a week ago. I also called to confirm my appointment and share that my last name was misspelIed and mentioned that I had submitted my paperwork.I arrive 5 min before my appointment and she tells me they took the next appointment and that I needed to be there 15 minutes early for pretesting! Never was this said to me. This B argued the point over and over that we always tell people that. I told her well the person I spoke to did not. She would not let up!! She goes on to say you are always told when you go to any doctors appointment to be 15 minutes early. I told her again that the 15 minutes early for pretesting was not mentioned. I most definitely would have been there! You would think being a new patient that would have clearly been stated?! Well it wasnt...she then tells me that they cant get me in till 1:30! I told her forget it and that her customer service was the worst!! When is this ever appropriate to do this!?! NEVER Whats even more messed up they called me to confirm! 😳

Walked in to purchase new glasses, a few ladies were there working, no one acknowledged me so I tried on a few glasses waited about 10 min, still no acknowledgment or even a Ill be right with you. I left disappointed because I liked a few frames..going elsewhere.

My experience has been horrific! Not only once but twice. I know youre probably thinking why would you go back if it was terrible the first time right? Well, it was years later and I figured since theyre local Id give them another shot. Okay, so basically I was treated like pure garbage and was told the Doc would not prescribe any contacts less then $65.00 dollars a box. I have a strong prescription and each eye is different so I would at least be spending 120.00 monthly on contacts. They also owed me a credit for my last contacts because they never told me the contacts were in and SENT THEM BACK after I paid in full for them.They told me I would receive a credit towards my account but that came with strings attached as I later found out. The General manager needs classes on providing customer service and how to NOT be condescending, rude and arrogant towards paying customers. She was just plain nasty. I started recording her behavior and asked for corporates number and she refused to give me her higher up.She told me to look at the receipt! When trying to get someone else to assist me she practically made the other rep in the store join in with her nastiness. I have this all on video. I never got my contacts and after leaving serveral messages for her to call me back to apply my credit and order my contacts Im still waiting! I will NEVER go back here again and if you dont want to deal with 24 year old unprofessional, thieving brats as a manager with ZERO training, Id suggest youd RUNNNNN.

I have been going here for years, but recently decided to stop. The doctor is great, but the other staff is very rude and treats you like you’re stupid. My past two appointments I have left feeling disappointed and insulted by the way the staff talked to me. I suggest they get in control of their attitudes and treat their customers with some respect.

The general manager is very rude. My insurance website said they were a provider and when I presented her with my card she informed me in a very snarky way that they dont accept it. When I showed her the info she continued to be snarky. Made me feel crummy for believing my insurance website. Never again!
