Amanda was very helpful and professional. She made the whole experience comfortable and answered all questions and was able to assist with our issues. Good lady, good company. I appreciate Amanda and her services.
Robin is outstanding! She takes the time to make sure the customer is happy. She is awesome with customer service and jewelry knowledge.
I arrived at the Kay store right when the employees were all taking their lunch break. They saw me and notified me that they would be back in 1 hour, and I informed them that I would be at work then (I am an RN and was dressed in my scrubs, on my way to work). The two women that were still preparing the store prior to their lunches graciously allowed me into the store so I could have my jewelry checked and my favorite necklace sent for repair. I was able to get my diamonds checked by the end of the month without being late for my shift at the hospital. I cannot thank them enough, and I would like them to know that I appreciate their kindness.
Came here to take care of warranty inspections and cleanings. Also taking care of my mothers jewelery and transfering the warranty to me was seamless after my wife inherited the jewelery after my mom passed. The entire staff was exceptional in this matter. Highly recommend Kay Jewelers in the Great Lakes Mall.
Took the wifes wedding ring in to have a post fixed staff checked out the ring and noticed all the posts were lose. We talked about options and it was decided to change the house unit. With the warranty, it cost very little out of pocket. 3 days later, received word the ring is in for repair. All around great service.
I brought my engagement ring to Kay Jewelers to be resized. My ring does not have a real diamond, when I mentioned that to the first man I worked with he said that we could send it out and see if they’re able to resize it or not because usually rings with fake stones can’t be repaired or resized... totally understandable. So we sent it out to be resized, well as it turns out they couldn’t do it.... totally understandable. So I go back to pick up my ring and when I get there, the computers are down... not anybody’s fault. I spoke to one woman and it started off as a kind and normal conversation, she asked me what I was there for because there was a chance that if I was just picking something up, they wouldn’t need the computers. But they couldn’t give it to me because I needed to be refunded for the cost of resizing my ring... understandable. Then, the lady working with me asked me what was wrong with it (which was a tad odd but not anything crazy) and I told her it wasn’t a real diamond. Then a woman who I hadn’t been speaking to, raised her voice from across the store and asked what was wrong, and the lady that was working with me raised her voice to answer, “it’s not a real diamond,” I don’t care about material things but being in a jewelry store and that being the reason my ring couldn’t be worked on, it was embarrassing. There were other customers, employees, and a man working on the computers. They continued to ask me questions and ask each other questions about my situation. Then I left because they couldn’t give me the ring. So I come back later in the day when the computers are back up and the same lady from before is processing my refund, well I guess they have to take a picture of the ring so that they can prove they didn’t damage it just in case I were to claim they had. This lady had a call on hold and asked another employee to take the picture so I could leave. This man was already talking to me kind of weird but I thought maybe it was just being friendly, still a little creepy though. He ended up asking me tons of questions, again, about what kind of stone it is (I don’t know) and holding me up for 15 more minutes when I should’ve been gone. He wanted to do another diamond test even though they already did one when they sent it out the first time and said that they couldn’t resize the ring. Finally I just told all of them that I would like to take my ring and leave. My experience with Kay Jewelers was embarrassing. I understand that they couldn’t resize it, I understand that their computers were down but talking loudly enough for others to hear about how my ring wasn’t real and holding me up multiple times for various problems was frustrating. I won’t be going back to Kay Jewelers for any jewelry or repairs in the future.
Associate was extremely rude. Talked to me and my fiancé about how several items were out of our budget despite not knowing what our budget was. Also questioned why I was writing down item numbers (it was so I could look them up for future use). I potentially could have walked out of there with something, but will not be buying from this location again.
Fantastic! The manager was very helpful with my exchange for my movado watch. Quick and easy! Excellent customer service!!
I went in to get my jewelry inspected and cleaned and made a purchase. Everyone there is very nice to me and did a great job, especially Amanda and Eric.
I was undecided but the dark skinned lady was very nice our chain broke but we went into the store Mann she was awesome me my wife and my son necklace getting fixed November 7th is going to be when we get it back I love this place
The service was great. The people were very helpful and we purchased what we were looking for.
Great customer service
Our friendly dark haired, woman jeweler was there to help us pick something for my daughter and my daughter loved it. Apologies for not remembering her name at the moment, she is a manager or should be one.She helped with our engagement ring through our wedding rings and many other forms of jewelry.
I dropped my engagement ring off at the mentor mall location to get resized. The sales rep could have cared less about talking to me about why I was there or what was going to happen with the ring and instead continued talking to his coworker about a ufc fight that was happening that night. He finally got my fitting and bagged up the ring. He gave me a receipt with a PROMISE date of a week and 5 days from the day I turned it in. I asked him if that date was accurate because I needed it back before a certain date and he said “oh ya! They’ve been getting them back sooner than that promise date but due to the pandemic they have been promising about a week and half.” I said ok, signed the paper and left. The promise date was on a Thursday and I called at 4:30 after not hearing a single thing from them... no email no phone call. The sales lady that I spoke with took 3 minutes searching for the last name on the computer and then put me on hold for 4 more minutes. She then picked up the phone and said “let me call you back in ten minutes when I find you paperwork.” Ummmm hello?!? We just spend thousands of dollars with you people and now you can’t fine the paperwork?! After 45 minutes of no phone call back, I called back and she stated that the ring wasn’t back and it’s estimated to be back within 4 more days. FOUR MORE DAYS?! Why have a promise date and have your associates tell me that it was promised to be back by then. Why have ZERO communication with the person who bought the ring OR the persons who’s ring it is?! My fiancé called very frustrated and then they wouldn’t pick up the phone. It rang and rang and rang (yes they were open). We finally got through and we were told for US to call back tomorrow and speak with Eric about our problem rather than then trying to help us. (Eric should have called us instead of us struggling to get through and speak with him!) I work in retail and I completely understand delays with everything going on but COMMUNICATE and have respect!!! We spent so much money to be treated like we weren’t even cared about! It was ridiculous and completely unacceptable the way they handled everything from the time I dropped it off. We won’t be coming back... that’s for sure!
Employees are always super nice!!!
Brought my necklace in to have the amethyst stone put back in as it fell out. Didnt have the insurance on it so my boyfriend paid $39.95 to have it fixed. Fair enough. But you could have at least cleaned the charm and the chain for that price. Besides, a quality piece of jewelry, would not have a stone fall out.
Kay Jewelers have always helped me with items even not purchasing their store theyre friendly they give you the best deal possible and they have the most exquisite jewelry there is.
Ken was very helpful in getting my rings cleaned and other things that needed done. Very upbeat and funny guy. Thank you Ken!!
Went to this location to get my ring cleaned and look at wedding bands for my fiancé. As soon as I walked in I felt as if I was bothering the store clerk. When asked to get my ring cleaned he never inspected it for lost or broken diamonds, as I pay for. I got my ring back and it haven’t even been touched on the inside it was just as dirty as when I gave it to the clerk. Then, he was very short and provided no help with finding the ring that my fiancé had put on his wishlist. He seemed as if he did not care one bit if I bought it or not. I chose not to buy the ring at that location because of the very short responses, uncomfortable environment, and feeling that I was a bother to the store. Highly do not recommend this location.
I love going there everyone always super helpful and friendly
Very poor! I tried to take my necklace for a repair and was pressured to buy a lifetime warranty. I only had the necklace for 100 days when the clasp broke. My boyfriend spent over $300 on it. I feel the chain is of poor quality and that is why it broke so soon after being purchased. The sales person implied I should not have worn it so much and should not have slept in it. I had had cheap necklaces from Kmart that I have worn more than this necklace that are not broken. I expect more from Kay Jewelers. Spend less on advertising and more on quality.
I have yet to have a good experience in this location. My fiancé bought my engagement ring at a kay jewelers near him. I took it to this location as it was nearest to me to be sized. When I called I was told I would have my ring back in 7 days. When I brought it in they told me it’d take a little over 2 weeks. They started asking the employees if anyone had taken my call because the woman was convinced I called a different location. An employee walked in and she asked him, as soon as I heard his voice I knew it was him I had spoken to as he had a very recognizable voice. He completely denied talking to me, and then started making excuses as to how I probably misunderstood him. However, they ended up honoring the one week I was told.6 months later (today) I took my ring in to be inspected like I’m required too for the insurance. While waiting for someone to help me I started looking at wedding bands. After the inspection I asked the woman to show me the band I liked. At this point I’ll say that when my fiancé proposed I had two stipulations on my ring, I didn’t want him to spend thousands of dollars, and I REALLY did not want a diamond. I wanted something different, but left him with the decision as to what he thought I would like. He ended up buying me a gorgeous blue sapphire ring that I’m in love with. Anyways, once I asked to see the band, the woman looks at me and says, “you want to see a WEDDING band for THIS ring, THIS is your engagement ring?” So basically because it’s not worth thousands of dollars, and it’s not a diamond, it can’t be my engagement ring? For now on when my ring needs to be inspected I will be taking it to a different location, and I will not be purchasing anything through this location again.
Sales Rep implied I could not afford something, instead suggesting something that was “more in my budget” without even asking what I do. I make more money in a day than he will in a month. I was prepared to buy an engagement ring, cash, last night for a substantial sum of money. Instead he suggested a $49.99 chain with a 26$ pendant. It was insulting. This company is horrible, and I would suggest never visiting here.
I have had some shaky buying experiences, but their credit company, Genesis, is absolutely horrible. I typically pay for my jewelry cash, but my wife used their credit services. HUGE, mistake. We have to delay our refinance of our mortgage because of their double charging, telling her to wait to pay, then they closed the credit account when I paid it nearly off in one payment. I would not recommend to use their credit department.
Wonderful finally got the Ring I wanted.Just perfect.thanks so much.
This is Probaly one of the worst stores that I have been to. Im not one to typically say people are rascit but at this store it ozzes Rascism. I was there to get my ring cleaned and look at an upgrade. Im not sure if its because I was looking at the cheaper rings when I walked in or what but the lady (Women with Red Hair) looked right at me and then went to another customer and helped them knowing that I came in first. I was coming in not only to clean my ring but to look and purchase a ring upgrade. The assocate I last worked with was very nice and it felt as if he treated me as his own family I found out is no longer with the company, showed my husband and I a beautiful ring that was almost 15k and im sad to say due to this stores rasicm and lack of professinalism I will be taking my busniess else where.
We went there today and had a great experience.Thank you for the manager Nina she did not leave us for a second very professional, friendly, and a masters in sales and the whole staff was nice. Thank you guys
Literally THE WORST customer service EVER. DO NOT buy your ring there and if you do, DO NOT GET WORK DONE THERE. I have sent my ring out to get worked on two times and both times have not received my ring back when promised. The first time my ring did not even get sent out and they seriously did not even notice until I came to pick it up and pointed out that it had not been resized or cleaned. Went out of town with no ring and had to change my engagement picture date because I did not have my ring. Also, had the store manager not went and picked up my ring up in person I would have had to cancel my photos a second time! Also the DISTRICT MANAGER took care of me and did not size me properly at all. My ring is so tight I have to use soap to get it off most times and I really did not want to send it back out to get resized right after being more than 3 plus weeks without it. So I sent it back out to get resized when I bought my wedding band and that too has not arrived when promised! I am worried about my ring and band fitting properly together and the wedding is quickly approaching. This has honestly been the MOST stressful part of the whole engagement and wedding planning process...highly suggest you shop else where!
KAY IS MOST DEFINITELY THE WAY PRICES AS WELL AS CUSTOMER SERVICE MONIKA & ROBIN WERE GREAT THANK YOU BOTH FOR THE NICE BUYS
The purchase of our engagement/wedding ring was a 5-star experience. Maurice was very informative and accommodating. However, its been just over a year since we purchased the ring and so far two small diamonds have fallen out. We purchased the warranty so these were covered but inconvenient none the less. The reason Im rating this store 3 stars is the attitude my wife receives when shes gone into the store for these lost diamonds, cleanings, etc. The sales people clearly did not want to be bothered with service customers. They asked questions that suggested we abused the ring, as if he was trying to say the warranty may be void. They are covering the missing diamonds which is good, but the accompanying aggravation was unnecessary. Our next purchase will likely be from another jeweler.
Sam the man
