The employees here are unprofessional and insensitive! I bought some hair and picked up the incorrect color by mistake. I called the store immediately as I got home to inquire about an exchange, they said that’s fine. Once I got there, one lady assisted me when I explained that I came to make an exchange. She looked at my item and said okay and took me for the correct one. After, she took me to the cashier and explained to her that it was an exchange. The cashier was so rude and prejudice once she saw me and said they can not exchange it. I then asked for a manager, she said came with a nasty attitude saying it’s not their problem they can not exchange even though it’s UNOPENED! Honestly, they should be selling to latinas and not black people because their motives are clear and attitudes are nasty! I will never be doing business with them again!

Every since they started hiring certain employees, this place has gone way down hill when it comes to customer service. I just came here to buy one single item and when I got to the check out counter, the cashier just stood there and looked at me. Didnt say a single word. Finally after several seconds of standing there in silence, she said, Are you ready? These employees are too busy trying to figure out there Starbucks order that they completely ignore customers.These employees are TRASH.

OMG...👀👀👀👀 Thats alooooot of hair. Waow. I was super excited to see so many wigs and hair extensions. But I wish they had those fish wire invisible string, kind of hair extensions that becomes invisible and u dont need to worry abt clipping on all the time. Cause personally Ive never tried any wigs in my life but Ive purchased clip-on extensions online. I have them in straight 22 but I wanted bouncey loose natural looking string extensions or same thing in Clip-on but they were not available. Only straight were available. But Ive purchased other products. 👍 Staff is friendly

Very unprofessional establishment to the very least. I went in to purchase a human hair wig and found exactly what I wanted. I then asked an employee for assistance getting the wig that I wanted and was told that she would send someone back. They had me waiting for a good ten minutes which is very rude to potential customers. Meanwhile there were three employees behind the counter up front and one on the floor and I asked only twice for assistance and still no help. I will never shop there ever again if that is how they treat their customers.

I always shop at gold beauty supply. I have been in Texas for 6 years now and gold is my #1 beauty supply store. They keep the store clean and organized from front to back. The hair is good quality but know your hair before going onto any beauty supply store, at least do some research on weaves. I have never had a complaint against them, they did have a rude cashier a few years back but I have not seen her there since. When you buy items from them you gain point those points turn into a store credit limit of $10 may not seem like much but it comes in handy when you buy something expensive and its $10 cheaper; thats if you want to add it. The hair behind the register is all human high quality hair some are cheap but still human hair, I would not recommend buying cheap weave if you plan on sewing it in; maybe right for a quick weave. Like I mentioned the store is well organized so it is easy to find just what you need the owner is a man with glasses if they do not have an item that you need talk to him about ordering it, he just might do it. also you can buy in bulk.

I have been a customer for many years back when they were in the smaller building across the parking lot and only the female owner was the cashier. The new cashiers are rude and I wont be back! the first couple of times I ignored it but now I realize that this is the new normal there. Will be going to Beauty and Beyond across the street from now on

Great price and good selection but the customer service could be better. I was checking out and bought a few things, the cashier was on the phone taking a personal call while checking me out and forgot to put my nail polish in my bag. Thankful I caught it before driving off, I went back in the store and told her you forgot to put my nail polish in the bag that you rung up and charged me for. I told her if you stay off that phone you would’ve remembered to put everything in my bag, she was like uh huh whateva. I understand you had to take a call but not while checking someone out, wait til your done and then go to the back or whatevea. So like I said great prices good selection but customer service could be better.

I have been going to this beauty supply since they moved to Mesquite in the early 2000s. The man with the glasses is very helpful at matching hair and giving good advice on which hair is best to get. I have had no issues here and I think Tom and Gina run an excellent beauty supply. Quality affordable hair products and hair!!! Go Gold!

Usually every in here is awesome and helpful. Its only one, Ill call her a lady to be nice, that had the worst attitude today. She asked me about a membership and I have her the same number I always give and she got a mad attitude. It works perfectly with everyone else. She got rude and I told her she was being rude and she tried to get loud and day I was mad. I told her Im not mad and I want going to let her being mad steal my joy. She was horrible. Luckily no one else here is like her or Id never come back.Update- there is only 1 nice employee on the building. They are rude for no reason. If someone asks for help they act like its brain surgery. Damn shame because they have a better selection than most beauty supply stores around. Customer service just sucks.

A very busy place. Ive never had any problems, the staff is always helpful for a undecided person on hair like myself. Im in there a good 45 minutes trying to decide . I like quality hair from behind the counter 😉🥰😉🥰 . The owner is great also, he goes out of his way to accommodate your needs. I gave 4 stars because Gennys is my #1 in Duncanville this !

Just picked up hair products. The cashiers need to be trained on stores technology before customers are in front of them. Other than that, the cashier was courteous and the store was neatly arranged with access to products.

Its an okay store. They dont know much about black hair. The girls are nice whenever I come. Sorry that everyone else had a bad experience with their attitude. I just dont like that they talk smack in espanol as if black women dont understand them, but I understand CLEARLY! I just dont say anything unless I hear something that is pertaining to me. The manager is a sweet man. Overall everyone is okay, they have things that I need, but it needs to be more diversity there so that someone relates to black women so that they can be more helpful to their customers which is black women!

This establishment is a complete joke and has no customer service. The Hispanic ladies that work there are rude and inattentive. I’m almost sure they don’t use the hair care products nor know anything about them. I’m no longer giving my my money to these Asian beauty supply stores. Gold Beauty Supply has a nice collection of hair products that are affordable. Im a rewards member and that perk is nice. I shop here for most of my hair care products and Im happy with my purchases.

I bought a really cute apron for work, but unfortunately the sparkle design started falling off the 1st time I wore it and has continued to do so. I just should have donated $20+ to them.

This...is my go to place for universal and affordable beauty supply products. This supply store has an abundance of items you can choose from and its the biggest Ive visited. Ive been buying products from Golds Beauty Supply for many years. Now.. the owner/manager seems irritable most of the time but hes still helpful when asking for assistance. I can put on my bestest, sweetest voice and hes still looks like this 😒 if you address him. Overall, this store offers what you would expect at a beauty supply store in addition to membership points. Golds points kept a few bucks in my pocket on several occasions. They understand beauty products can become expensive so the point system is one reason why I feel customers including myself return.

They have a pretty good selection of products. Also if you spend over a certain amount you receive a ten dollar coupon off your purchase.

There used to be a girl from New Orleans who worked there about 5 or 6 years ago. She was really nice and knew about hair. Now, dont let a crowd of 5 or more people be in the store... youd think they had a Black Friday line. They are super impatient and ughhhh. USA is better and cheaper....Im just saying.

If there was option for ZERO stars I would have selected that. The owner may need to consider hiring a NEW STAFF! I stopped by the store last night and it was about 5 ladies working. However only 1 cashier with a line of people and 1 or 2 people needing some assistance for behind the counter products. It was Halloween so maybe they figured they come to work and NOT work. Typically when the owner is there you cant get the lades that work there off your back. But last night, all but the one lady as cashier were on there phones NOT helping customers. However the one cashier with the rainbow unicorn hair (Halloween costume I hope) was VERY RUDE to the point that I requested a store credit and returned my items and went around the corner to USA Beauty. (there staff is VERY FRIENDLY AND VERY WELCOMING AND ALWAYS HELPFUL). When I swiped m card I didnt hit done and the screen asked me to put in an amount. I wanted to make sure that my card info was no longer on the screen (just checking as tis the season fro fraud). She was rude in answering questions like I was getting on her nerves. The products at the store are okay. I was driving all the way to Duncanville to Jennys Beauty when I moved to Mesquite and a friend turned me on to Golds Beauty Supply. Just a tad bit more expensive than Jennys worth it for the drive. I will be using this little credit I have AND NEVER SHOPPING AT THIS BEAUTY SUPPLY UNTIL THEY GET NEW STAFF!

Im okay with no public restroom but I literally had an employee look at my 2 year old and say no she cant use the restroom, and I had a hand basket full of stuff, wasnt happy I had to leave for my baby to go potty, I wont ever walk through those doors again.

This store has gone down since it opened. Employees daily check to see who is about to earn enough points to get $10.00 worth of free merchandise - then they use your information to reward themselves. This is a sham and should be investigated. They even had the temerity to encourage me to CHANGE THE NUMBER ON THE ACCOUNT! As if changing the number would prevent them from committing fraud. DONT PATRONIZE THEM.

Clean nice store. Has a lot of different hair to choose from. The workers are really nice and they dont watch you or follow behind you like most hair shops. I will definitely be shopping here more often.

This beauty supply store is very wishy washy. One day the service is good and one day its not. I vowed to never go back because the workers act like they get annoyed when you ask them a question. A few of the workers are nice and give good customer service, but the other workers are rude and their behavior out ways the good. Not to mention they wont tell you how much their merchandise is over the phone. What good does it do for me to drive all the way to your store, just to walk away with nothing because the price is to high or you dont have what I need!?! Not convenient at all!

Worst customer service ever!Im sitting in the car typing this thats how bad the experience was. I shop here every now and then, but this will finally be my last day! The male guy was so rude and unhelpful in helping me find a closure, so I told him I didnt want his help. I went to another girl and she was just as dry. If I wouldnt have been in a push, I wouldve went somewhere else. But this is it. Every time Ive visited this place, Ive been treated like Im bothering them... No more money from me though. Rude selves.

Asians control the beauty supply market, but African American women overwhelmingly support the industry financially;yet, they don t respect us, hire us, or treat us very well. We accept the negative behaviors, the disregard because we don t always feel like we have options. We could send a strong signal with our absence.

So,...Ive been trying not to write the place off just because one guy there pissed me off. He follows people around the store pretending to be adjusting products. He ignores you or pretends he cant speak English when you ask for help. Hell just brush you off. Maybe he doesnt speak good English or doesnt speak it at all; I dont know but the thing that made me not come back is one day, I was in there with my family. All of us were on the same row when this fool that I think is the manager tooted his narrow ass in front of my little boys face. I went the f off! I walked out & never came back. Ive only been there a few times & everyone else was cool & they have a lot of good products there...if only you can look over that one jerk!

The young girl named Diamond working behind the counter refused to help me and rolled her eyes at me. When I asked her name, I let her know her manager Paul would be made aware of her attitude and unwillingness to help me. She proceeded to tell me that her mama was on her way up there to deal with me. She also came out from behind the counter to scream at me in front of my son. I thought she was going to hit me. So I called the police! When the manager Paul arrived (back from his lunch break) I made him aware that the police were on their way because of the actions of his employee Diamond. I also asked him to walk me and my son out of the store. As I was crossing the parkinglot to get to my car, 2 women jumped out of a car and ran at me. I was hit in the face by one of them. A witness stopped them from jumping me in front of my son by telling them the police were about to be there. Police arrived and handled the situation as they would be trained to do so. I later called to speak with Paul the manager (because I am a hairstylist and do alot of business with him) and he told me he would review his cameras in 2 days. That he was going to teach the girl how to take care of customers. This is a poor way to conduct a business and terrible customer service. Why would anyone employ such trash? And allow their customer to be treated so poorly and get assaulted!

I mainly go here for their wigs to see if anything has changed. Nope. Their wigs are always ragged and fuzzy, making it sometimes hard to tell the style of the wig. The workers are rude. The only positive is that this store offers a discount if you sign up for their membership.
