TL;DR They tried to pass off the wrong vehicle as being the one I had ordered. The dealership spent over a month looking for the vehicle I wanted which I appreciated. When one was unable to be found, we decided it would be best to order one so I could get exactly what I needed. Yes, another 3 months, but with shortages happening, I was fine with being without a vehicle that long, especially if it meant I could get the truck of my dreams. When I got the call to come pick it up, I found a truck that was the wrong color inside and out (white, when I had ordered an upgraded color), with extra accessories I did not order. When I asked about it, the sales manager said “the factory must have sent the wrong truck.”Mistakes happen (and Id understand) but why was I told my vehicle had been delivered? Why didn’t they just tell me the truth instead of trying to pass off this vehicle as the one I ordered? Did nobody notice when taking delivery? I wanted an upgraded premium color and they thought they could get away with selling me a plain white vehicle with added accessories. It was insulting that they thought I would not care or notice.
I walked into this dealership and was greeted by Brandon Pacheco. He was great! Really helped walk me through the whole process and got me a great deal. Even with the shortage of cars he was able to get me the exact truck I was looking for. The atmosphere of the whole dealership is really friendly. I would highly recommend Brandon if you are looking for a quick and easy process while also getting the best deal around.
I cannot believe I am giving a car dealership 5 stars, but I am without any reservation. These people from the online chat to the salesperson right through the finance manager were professional, courteous, friendly and funny, and they actually listened to your needs and wants and did not try to push anything on you that you did not have an interest in buying. I cannot say that about any other dealership. We felt welcomed there, and it is quite obvious why they have such high rankings and reviews. There is no back-and-forth between the salesperson and the general manager and none of that dreaded 3 to 5 hour wait trying to get to a price that is fair. Everything is transparent and this will certainly not be the last time that I use this dealership myself. It will definitely be my recommendation to anyone buying a Toyota.
I was most impressed with this particular dealership when I purchased my new 2016 Toyota Yaris Hatchback. The staff was professional and the glossy interior was most impressive. My Yaris performed beautifully until a totally incompetent ophthalmologist performed YAG Laser surgery and cleared me for driving. I lost my vision completely and at less than 30 mph my car was completely destroyed along with all the other vehicles involved. Thank you very much, but please pay my $15,000 worth of medical bills, not to mention the increase in my insurance rates. A new car would be nice too. I have been driving for 50 years and have never once been involved in such a near fatal accident. Since it was a relatively new car with very little mileage, I received a significant reimbursement from my insurance company. and returned to this same dealership. I purchased a Toyota Yaris sedan off of their leasing line. This 2019 talking model was impossible to operate. I had the charming experience of finding myself locked out of this vehicle in the pouring rain, while I stood outside helplessly holding my dripping bags of groceries, as it continued to chatter to me, not to mention it choosing to completely shut off the engine while driving on a highway leaving me completely dangerously stranded in the middle of the road. I drove this car up to a historic inn in NH. It hydroplaned at 15 mph smashing into a metal railing. The passenger side after being evaluated by both the insurance appraiser and body shop owner will require over $7,000 worth of repairs. Both noticed all four tires were striped of treads. It was sold to me that way because I had only put on less than 3,000 miles, just going to the grocery store and the pharmacy. I was most appreciative of that. They could at least have put on a set of new tires. A week later, I received a recall notice from Toyota that my particular model and make had a major defect with the fuel pump system and although there was no remedy as of yet, it warned owners that there was a serious risk of an accident. No kidding. I am now stuck with a car that needs two weeks of repair in an auto body shop and even after that I would not feel safe driving it anywhere. The salesmen and the service department could care less after I myself and my mechanic gave them quite an earful. The body shop owner told me I should have brought the used vehicle to him to inspect first before purchasing it. He told me he had another customer who brought in three used cars from this dealership which claimed the cars were in perfect condition. Not so. The body automotive specialist discovered they had all been in accidents and were not suitable for driving. If you value your life, I would suggest looking for a Toyota vehicle elsewhere. Otherwise, you may end up dead in a car accident.
As others have posted they have great prices however they make up for it with the trade ins, offering substantially below other dealerships. Expect 10-20% lower trade in offer, and they are unwilling to budge.Their salespersons and managers are also pretty slow to respond.
I was impressed and very happy with the repair work on my corolla due to my sons accident. Everyone was helpful throughout the process. They told me it would be done in 5 days and called me for pickup in 5 days. Very unexpected. I highly recommend their services!!!!! Thank you.
Love this place. Russ was very kind and helpful. Absolutely Reccomended!
Excellent customer service!!! Went looking to buy a new car and Adam and the Langway team made it happen! Thank you so much for all of your help! I love my new car! If you are looking for a great car along with great customer service visit Adam and the Langway team they will go above and beyond!
Without hesitation I recommend Langway Toyota of Newport, my salesperson Jay Weir, and Mr Langway. I have purchased over a dozen vehicles over the years and the last three from Langway Toyota of Newport and through Jay Weir. There was absolutely no pressure, no hassle and it was a very positive experience each time. Mr Langway and Jay Weir couldnt be nicer folks. Whenever Ive had a question; I received an exact answer, not a well see or a range to fall in. There is an attention to detail Ive not found in any other dealership. I have never reviewed a business before online as I may have had reservations doing so, but I can recommend Langway Toyota of Newport and Jay Weir with no reservations.Sincerely,Tom Todaro
Looking for a nice reasonably priced used vehicle for our daughter. Staff was friendly but inventory was very low with almost zero options for what we were looking for. 4 stars for service.
I had to post this review of Langway Toyota collision. They took care of a paint issue with my Corolla quickly, gave me a rental. Thank you Frank and Rob. TY Seth on the Nissan side for the rental. SC
I am very impressed with the work you guys did fixing my corolla Frank and his team did a wonderful job leaving my car looking like new thanks so much guys
I used this location for collision repairs after an accident, and could not have been more impressed or happy with the service from start to finish. Not only was the repair work absolutely beautiful, but everyone went above and beyond. The staff was extremely helpful, and also really down to earth and enjoyable to talk to. Ive never had to go through this process before and felt lost at first - accidents, claims, insurance, etc. Anna helped advocate for me between both insurance companies, and was willing to make any and all calls necessary on my behalf. She was also prompt and available to answer several emails I sent her. By the end, my car looked better than new, including a full exterior cleaning and wheel cleaning which I needed! Id recommend this location to anyone needing repairs - or looking to buy a Toyota. (Love my 4Runner).
Excellent Sales and Service. I have purchase a vehicle and had multiple cars serviced. Special shout out to the body shop TOP NOTCH
We had an excellent experience with Lance Perkins at Langway Toyota. We were in the market for a used Sienna. Lance was helpful before we even bought the car by recommending that we purchase a 2018 Sienna in order to get the Safety Sense package . He also recommended getting one with all wheel drive which greatly improves the stability of a vehicle as large as a Sienna. Langway was very efficient in posting the availability of the car on the Internet. Working with Lance was a pleasure. His extensive knowledge of automobiles was very impressive. We knew we wanted to buy a Sienna and have driven one for years and so did not feel the need to do a test drive. Rather than taking the easy way out and closing the deal faster, Lance insisted that we come in for a test drive to be absolutely sure that we were happy with this vehicle. He was very responsive and kept us informed on the status of the transaction. Since we always buy used cars, I make it a habit to bring the car to my mechanic to have it checked out before purchasing. In this case I trusted Lance implicitly and knew that with his knowledge of automobiles I did not need to check with my mechanic. Alan Toti was also a pleasure to work with when finalizing the paperwork. I highly recommend Lance and Langway Toyota.
Adam who I worked with was a good dude, service was great and was a pretty positive experience when purchasing a vehicle compared to many others.
We moved to Newport County several years ago and are Toyota fans. Our experience at Langway was ok a few years ago but after buying several cars from them we have seen the sales team and management become much less knowledgeable about the cars they sell and a disorganized sales floor. They often post competitive prices on new cars, however, where they are less than honest is when you have to trade in a car/truck. Make sure you check on your car/truck value on KBB.com before you go to Langway. They have a habit of providing a much lower trade value than you should get. We recently experienced this and decided to try Toyota of Dartmouth. They sold us the same exact new vehicle for the same Langway price and gave us $5,000 (read that right $5 grand) more in trade value. Jim Langway, the owner was involved in trying to sell us and after meeting him I was unimpressed. Sleazy is probably the best word. We loved our experience at Dartmouth Toyota and will no longer be doing business with Langway
I have been a customer for many years and always very satisfied with the experience. Unfortunately, I was in need of the body shop recently, and my RAV4 is now as good as new.I highly recommend this dealership.
Service is always top notch. Recently purchased a used vehicle that needed some minor body shop fixes. Frank went above and beyond to make us happy. Well be back!
Great experience at Langway Toyota of Newport. Met with Jay (the Tacoma guy) and walked through all the Tacomas on the lot. After reviewing different trims and styles, we decided I wanted a SR5 4x4 Double Cab with the 5 bed. I really wanted quicksand, but since they didnt have it with my exact specs, they made sure they found it at another dealer. Jay was contacting me with updates through the whole process. I had the truck Tuesday the next week! Super pumped about it. Thanks everyone who helped through the process.
Jay Weir is an absolutely amazing sales consultant! He helped me immensely to find the perfect car at the perfect price! Highly recommended dealership, you won’t find the amazing service anywhere else. Thank you so much Jay!
Great Service!!!! My wife had a little (well not so little) accident with the front of her SUV and basically the whole front of the vehicle needed to be replaced. Anna and Frank tool care of us by taking the car in - providing updates every couple of days and even delivering the finished job 6 days earlier than estimated. Highly Recommended!!!!
After being rear ended at the corner of Turner & East Main Rd., Progressive Insurance recommended Langway Collision Ctr. I was familiar with their reputation as New England’s #1 rated auto repair shop from the radio advertising, so I readily accepted the insurance company’s suggestion. From the initial inspection & estimate to coordinating the rental car, my first impressions exceeded expectations. The client service was comfortable & friendly and the repair work impeccable ! A very positive experience all around !
Langway was very helpful from getting my car parts in very quickly and having my car repaired in just over a week, they had a rental car from Enterprise waiting for me when I arrived and everyone was very helpful and friendly.
Had been looking at Tacomas for a while and after selling my car in Hawaii for a PCS move I knew at some point I was going to have to get another vehicle. Went there initially to test drive the TRD Sport and Off-Road. Met Michael Carbone at the door and he was excited to help me out. Initially I was looking for either Trim level in Cement gray but when hearing they didnt have any I was bummed. The color wasnt a deal breaker but I loved it. So he goes in the back to get the keys to some other color sports and off-roads and he comes back from around the building in a cement off-road! It had just got to the dealership and was still in the back for post-delivery processing! As we test drove both trims, he enthusiastically explained the differences between both models and was able to answer all the questions I had! Everybody in the dealership from the owner on down was welcoming and this help ease the nervousness around buying your first vehicle. After test driving and sitting down and talking with Michael, they were able to offer me a sweet offer on the off-road (in the color I wanted) and was able to take it home that same day. If youre in Newport and looking for a vehicle I definitely recommend heading over to Langway Toyota to make that happen. You will not be dissapointed.
Great customer service from Anna, Joe, and Rob at the collision center they made sure I was always in the loop during the process of my car being fixed and overall great people along with the technicians making sure the car is 100% before pick up
This place is a joke, sold a rusted out junk box. Then constantly for 8-9 months made excuses. We go to go trade it back & they offer 9k🤣 & 2k down to get out of it. took it to herb chambers and got offered $11,500 for it, 2.5k more.. this place will never get our business again, as a small business owner I will be happy to tell ppl to stay away from this place
Put in an inquiry on a 2021 4runner TRD Pro. I currently own a 2019 4runner TRD Pro and was looking to trade for the newer model. Coincidentally, heard a Langway radio spot on my way to work today in which the owner touts his loyalty to the community and the GREAT, fair deals you can get at Langway Toyota. Received a call from the dealership regarding my inquiry. Oh.....that 4runner is slapped with a $5000 dealer markup over MSRP. I was fully expecting a full MSRP transaction with current inventory shortages but a markup like that is just a way to take advantage of people during tough times.
Excellent customer service!! Very clean facility and more reasonable prices than Balise Toyota.
Thanks Toyota of Langway for living up to my incredibly low expectations of how dealerships sell and repair cars!!! from your slimy financial guy to your condescending rude repair department...people have always told me not to go to a dealership to get your car repaired but since I bought it there that they would be the ones to go to but I was very wrong. so after paying them $240 to tell me I need a new engine in a car they sold me 18 my months ago. I had my car towed to a garage in Bristol where they replaced my engine for half the quoted price of Toyota with respect and kindness so thanks Toyota for reminding me to never by a car from a dealership again . Typical corporate jerks
My mom had bought a car from Langley a couple years ago. She recently got a new phone and was struggling with pairing it up to the car. We asked the Verizon salesman to help us and he struggled with it as well. I stopped off at Langley and Caesar came out and very patiently guided me through the steps of pairing up her new phone. It turns out that the Verizon salesman and I did not realize that her previous phone was still paired up and was blocking us from pairing the new phone. With Caesar’s help, pairing up the new phone became a breeze and made my 80-year-old mom so happy that you would have thought she had won the lottery. Thank you Cesar.
Thank you Anna,Frank and Rob!! Such an easy experience!! So pleasant, reliable and my card looks brand new!!!
I consider Langway the best for service. I had body work done, and it was completed in one day. I always get my car serviced here, and always leave satisfied. Anna and all the employees were so courteous and friendly and helpful.
I purchased a used car here. Came back told salesman tires are dry rotted and metal showing thru treads all 4 need replacing. Gonna be about $1000 for all 4. Car was out of alignment so tires wore very quickly. They said tires on all used cars are at least 60% left good. Was not the case. 6 weeks and 10000 miles later I need 4 new tires! Not happy!! These tires should have been replaced before this car was sold to me!!! Shame on you Langway!! Now Im in debt $1000 for tires for car I just bought at dealership!! They should be ashamed!! Salesman was basically like owe well better luck next time!! Wont be recommending them or returning here!! Everyone I ask has said they should have put new tires on my $23000 used car they sold me! If someone from Langway would like to make this situation correct feel free to contact me!!
We recently had my wifes Rav4 in for a water leak that we waited too long to address and some parking lot collision damage. When I met Frank Nadeau the first time, I was impressed by his willingness to work with us and his general demeanor; he was just a nice guy. When we finally brought the car in, there was a good amount of tear down to be done and Frank kept us totally in the loop as to what he was doing with the car. The ladies in the office, Anna and Denise were also very helpful and friendly to work with. We would highly recommend Langway Toyota for any collision services for your Toyota vehicle.
The salesman Jay was great. If you do decide to go here definitely go through him. He was extremely helpful and apologetic for the situation. The management is not so great. I spoke with the sales manager (I forgot his name) on the phone. Explained I would be making a 2 hour trip to the dealership and discussed the price on a used corolla. I was within $500 of the asking price. On the phone he asked for my offer which I gave and he assured me we could work something out. When I got to the dealership I reiterated the offer and the sales manager stated he must have misunderstood me on the phone and they would not be able to budge by even a dollar. I soon realized the nature of the dealer. I purchased the car because I liked it a lot but definitely think twice before making a trip to this dealer. They tell you what you want to hear on the phone but it is a different story once you arrive.
I came in to view the new Venza after having my car totaled. Adam was amazing to work with. His demo. of the car, and his patience in showing me all the bells and whistles was impressive. The sales manager Russell was very kind too. They all worked hard to make it a great experience (and safe during covid).
Good car repair, at a fair price.
Langway Toyota provided exceptional service to me just this week. The body work they performed was perfect. The company is professionally run with great employee service, especially from Anna in the body shop. Highly recommend this dealership.
This is second time I have leased with Langway and I am never disappointed! Adam was great and got me in the car that I wanted. Also the fact that the owner, James, takes his time to get to know each of his customers is great! Thank you Langway you guys are great!!!
The service was top notch. Anna went above and beyond to make the entire experience hassle free. The repair looks great also. Thank you!
After bringing our family car in for service I called the manager of Langway Russ Bauer regarding the service department not following CDC guidelines regarding masks and distancing. The manager could have cared less, he said they were doing enough, that I could not expect his service team to wear masks for eight hours. Shame on them. If he would have taken my concerns seriously I would not have had to take further action by reporting Langway to the Rhode Island Department of health for their violations. My mother is a health care worker, she wears a mask for eight hours a day along with so many others. Do your part and wear a mask!
Dont expect them to return your calls...DO NOT believe a word they tell you..
Anna Newbolt, my collision advisor, coordinated with my insurance and kept me regularly informed and up to date from the arrival of my vehicle at the collision center until the repairs were completed. I annoy imagine a smoother process!
I purchased a Toyota truck from another location, but Langway Toyota of Newport has consistantly gone above and beyond to provide courteous and efficient maintenance service for my vehicle. Scott and the Newport service team members have been incredibly accommodating to my personal schedule. Thank you all so much for the essential services you continue to provide with professionalism and excellence.
I had the pleasure of getting a brand new Toyota Camry from Adam Flesser! What a wonderful experience and an even better ride.. Dont hesitate to go to Adam.. great knowledge of cars and a personality that makes car buying easy! Thank you very much
The Collision center has surpassed my expectations. I was in an accident and there was problem with insurance. I was counseled in which steps to make and kept up on all new developments. If I could give 10 stars I would. Thanks to Ann and Frank.
So incredibly happy my daughter and I went to Langway Toyota of Newport to buy her first car! From beginning to end, we had such a positive experience. Jay, our salesman, was honest and helpful every step of the way. The entire atmosphere at Langway set our minds at ease and meeting the owner’s dog was the icing on the cake! :)
I was a customer first. Worked a great deal on an amazing truck. That experience led me to want to work here. I’ve been an employee here for almost three years. Amazing place to work. Better place to buy a car.
Service here is great :) staff was amazing and so so so kind. Its obviously never a great thing to be at a collision center but the team at langway make the experience as pleasant as possible.
This dealership has created a whole different standard of how car buying is done.Langway was the only dealership that greeted me when I walked in with a genuine care and appreciation of my time and business. They showed respect in listening to what car I was there for. I was never left waiting. They just have the understanding that they are working to earn your business. The staff are incredibly nice and easy to communicate with. There was never any pressure or stress put on me.The whole process was made easy and convenient from beginning to end.I bought a 2017 Toyota Yaris iA.Last year from Langway I purchased a 2020 Toyota Corolla - still own.Its always a great experience doing business with them. I wouldnt buy a car anywhere else.
Quick service. Coffee in water in lounge.wifi.
My collision experience was excellent and I was well taken care of by Anna, Denise, and Frank. The repairs turned out beautifully.
I went to Langway Toyota of Newport today to trade in my lease that I was exceedingly over the miles for. After working with the management and sales representatives, I was able to smoothly trade in my vehicle for a brand new 2020 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 Access Cab. The management and sales representatives are professional and top notch at what they do. This is the third vehicle that I have purchased from this dealership and they are always exceeding my expectations. Highly recommend going to Langway Toyota of Newport.Dan Serina
I came from over 4 hours away to purchase my car from Langway. I found the car online and it was everything that I wanted. DJ, the salesman I worked with, was friendly, informative, and transparent throughout the process. I was skeptical at first about making the drive and he did the work to assure that I would get the deal that I was looking for before I came to the dealership. The finance manager was also very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this dealership.
Happy. Great salesmen
I just bought my brand new 2020 Rav4 at Langway Toyota & i am a very happy customer. My salesman Adam Fleser was awesome, his knowledge about the cars were on point. My experience was amazing. He got me into a great car for a better price. You need a car, Adam is your guy you want! I would definitely recommend this dealership.
Always a pleasure! Luv hot chocolate.
They were fast in giving me a price and value of my trade but when I showed what another dealer offered me they couldnt compete. I am at the other dealership now completing the deal as I showed them. They didnt even budge. I guess thats how they pay for all those radio advertisements. Not complaining but you can get a better deal by shopping around.
This location no longer wants my business... here is why: I brought my FJ there for a recall in early December and while it was there, I asked them to complete the State of RI Inspection since it was due. They did the fuel pump (recall) and subsequently failed my vehicle for a brake issue, which they wanted to replace the right front caliper. Since my brakes were just replaced in January and due to COVID I havent been driving much so I thought it to be odd. I declined that repair and brought the car to the mechanic who did the brake job the next day. He spent an hour and a half on the vehicle and with the paperwork supplied by Langway COULD NOT find any issue. While I intended to bring my truck back December was busy so I didnt get to it that week. The next week my check engine light comes on so I knew Toyota would reject it (again) so I brought to a local shop to diagnose. They found a gas cap issue fixed that and could not get the light to reset re-diagnosed another leak code came up and discovered a broken hose clip... where from the fuel pump. I contacted the service manager Jeff Sores and when I pressed these two issues, he told me that he could make this quick, Langway Toyota, no longer wants your business. Being his last name is NOT Langway, I am surprised that he can speak on behalf of the dealership like that but I guess he has that authority.I will take my business elsewhere and honestly based on the customer service at numerous Toyota Dealerships have soured on the brand in general. I have had much better service and just friendly people on other brands so be aware. If you already have a Toyota I would recommend you look to another dealership on your next purchase and service. I paid for an inspection now have to pay another shop since Jeff doesnt want me back, why would I go back there for more hassle and bad work. I will take up the inspection issue with the state of RI as well.In the end, I fully support standing behind your employees; however, to take no responsibility or even to be willing to listen to a customer who has verified through two other mechanics there was an issue with a part you last worked on is indefensible. Langway Toyota wanted to extort me for money on a part and service I didnt need so you have been warned.
Spoke with collusion center manager about marks on car surface from faulty tarp.. excellent help and resolved problem within 15 minutes
Special shoutout to Michael Cabone for getting me the truck of my dreams. A 2021 Tacoma SR5 with all of the bells and whistles! They were able to offer a military discount and factor in just a little bit of negative equity on my trade in. Never met a more genuine salesman!
Wonderful experience at Langway Toyota of Newport yesterday. Can’t say enough nice things about the exceptional staff and service. Love my new Toyota Venza .... I highly recommend Langway Toyota !
DJ took great care of us! This was the first place to present us with a monthly price that actually matched the cars worth. Every other place tacked on at least 20-30 more a month for a car the same price. No nonsense, very patient, and very kind. My wife and I had been to many dealerships within a 2 week period, and they beat every other dealership in every category. Love our 2017 Camry!
We absolutely love our new Toyota Highlander. We shopped several Toyota dealerships. At Langway, we never felt pressured. Our salesman (Adam) was very professional while making me feel quite at ease. He was also extremely knowledgeable about the car.The process from first waking through the door to driving away in my new car was seamless and worry-free. I was compelled to thank Mr. Langway himself. He too, was genuine and grateful for my business. This was the way every dealership should conduct their sales. I will certainly see them again when my other car is ready to be replaced.
Great experience from beginning to end! I had a horrible experience at another dealership and thought itd be the same at all dealerships but I was proven 100% wrong once I stepped into Langway of Newport. Jay was extremely helpful and kind and just when I thought it couldnt get any better I met Mr. Langway, who is such a sweet heart. I was able to buy my car from them with no pressure at all. As a matter of fact, the price was below my budget thanks to Mr. Langway and Jay.
I cant speak more highly of Langway Toyota. From the moment I walked in the door to the second I drove off in my new car, I was treated with respect. It was refreshing to buy a car at a place where the employees are honest and act with integrity. There were no games or mysteries; I was given the bottom line price right out of the gate and they were diligent and helpful in every step of the buying process. I came to Langway after going to another Rhode Island Toyota dealership that bills itself as the No. 1 volume dealer and was treated like a fool. At the other dealership, they refused to give me a bottom line price and instead tried to sell me on a monthly payment and tried to coerce me into putting down a deposit when I made it clear I would not be buying based on a monthly payment. The other dealer tried to use the 2 year, 25,000 mile free maintenance that comes with every Toyota as a free add-on to sweeten the deal! How dishonest is that?!Instead, at Langway, they listened to my needs, gave me the best price out of anyone I got a quote from and werent pushy in the slightest. Mike, my salesman, and the rest of the team are true professionals. No pressure, no gimmicks, just honest and straightforward service. If you want to buy a car and get a good price and be treated with respect and fairness, I highly recommend you go to Langway.
Great experience with the collision repair center especially Anna who kept me updated on a regular basis and took care of all the communication with the insurance company. Would highly recommend Langway Toyota for sales, service, and collision repair.
Awesome customer experience! Went out of their way to accommodate, love my 2020 Hylander Hybrid see DJ for a good deal!
Always find the best deals at Toyota. I really like that no one haggled us while looking at cars. We were able to browse the cars and let them know what we wanted with no pressure. Oil changes are a breeze.
Fantastic service, quick repair, very courteous
Very fast and efficient. Car looks great. Thanks.
Had a great experience getting my oil changed here. It was relatively fast and came with perks you wont get at a Jiffy Lube or the like. It probably will cost you a bit more, but definitely worth every penny. They had free coffee and doughnuts in the lobby, filled up my tire air pressure as well as cleaning my car. I would definitely go back for this purpose in the future.
I was so happy by the way Jay Weir help me out getting a brand new Toyota Venza 2021.
I leased a Toyota Corolla from Jay Weir in February, 2019. Frankly, it was the best experience I ever had with a car dealership. Jay was extremely well-informed, patient, courteous, gracious, and thorough. He listened carefully to my needs, asked several pointed questions about my hopes and desires for a car, raised several interesting possibilities, and waited patiently until I reached my decision. Although I had never met Jay Weir prior to the day I walked into Langway Toyota, he made me feel like I had an old friend in the car business. In addition to the lease, Jay organized and executed a very suitable insurance plan for me. I walked out of the dealership with everything I needed, no money down, and the lowest price I had seen after several weeks of comparative shopping. Jays follow-up was also impeccable. I feel as though I never need to find another car-dealership. As long as Jay Weir works at Langway, that is where I am shopping.
Just picked up a new car from Langway last week. This was the best experience myself or any of my family has had at a dealership. From start to finish helpful and knowledgeable.I worked with Michael, Scott and Blake -- all were honest and wouldnt speak until they knew they had the right answer. Michael got me from hesitant about even test driving to signing papers on my second visit, not by being pushy or a typical salesman but reading my situation and giving me honest solutions.Highly recommend the team here to anyone. They want you in the right car without any hassle, and thats what getting a new car should be. Definitely take advantage of the rebates they offer which were easy to understand.
The service at Langway Toyota is exceptional. I met with sales representative Lance and Scott the sales manager, and they set me up with a beautify 2017 RAV 4 with great mileage at a great price. I cannot recommend buying a car from there enough. Beyond accommodating.
Do NOT go to this place for an inspection, if I could give them zero stars, I would. I will go into further detail below, but to save you time, they wanted to charge me over $2400 for necessary repairs in order for my vehicle to pass inspection...I spent $8.41 on some exhaust sealer and hardware, put less than 10 minutes of my time into working on my vehicle, brought my truck to another mechanic shop, and it passed no problem (shout out to Monro). Now lets get into the fun stuff. My vehicle failed inspection in four areas; the (1) e-brake, (2) windshield, (3) exhaust, and (4) rear shocks.(1). Toyota claimed that my e-brake pivot was frozen and needed to be replaced. Turns out, the last time I got an inspection with them two years ago, my vehicle also failed for this same reason on the exact same wheel. At the time, I just paid the $400 or so just to get it over with and pass inspection. This time, I brought this up to the lovely chap working in the office explaining that they made this exact repair two years ago, which he confirmed on the computer, so how could it possibly fail again after just a short 2 years? He didnt have an answer for me but offered to take a whopping 15% off of that repair. Apparently, Toyota repair parts are good for less than two years. I got home, used some WD-40, moved it around a bit and it was perfectly functional.(2). I have a small chip in my windshield located on the bottom half of the PASSENGERs side that Safelite filled over 18 months ago to prevent crack propagation. Toyota told me that the cracks will grow and that its a visual hinderance to the driver so they have to replace the entire windshield ($350 or so). I looked up the windshield regulations for the state of RI regarding cracks and chips and it very clearly states that there are to be no chips, cracks or defects within the wiper swipe area in front of the DRIVER are permitted, minor cracks that have no areas of separation are permitted in areas other than those directly in front of the driver, and cracks that allow the glass to move or that damage the safety seal inside the glass layers are not permitted (Windshield Laws in RI). As you can see, none of these scenarios apply to a small ding on the passengers side windshield of my vehicle. I did nothing for this issue because it shouldnt have failed in the first place.(3). The exhaust. My vehicle is older and I had a rusted muffler on it that needed to be replaced. This past winter, I ordered a new muffler/tailpipe, cut the old one off, and secured the new one with an automotive coupler. The gentlemen from Toyota told me that this fastener method was not sufficient and that they were concerned that the muffler will detach while driving, fly off, and hit someone. Bruh. Anyway, the part I was most upset about was that their solution to fix this problem was to replace the entire muffler, tailpipe, and O2 sensor assembly for over $1200 even though the muffler and tail pipe were less than 7 months old and there was absolutely nothing wrong with the O2 sensor in the first place. The only issue was with the coupler, so why not suggest to just put a new one on or take 5-10 minutes to weld it? Oh thats right, because you wouldnt make nearly as much money.(4). Lastly, my rear shocks (this is a good one). I also replaced the rear shocks on my vehicle this past winter, so they were about 8 months old at the time. Toyota explains to me that a bolt has fallen out of one of the shocks and it could pop off at any time, this is an instant fail. In addition, the guy told me that my shocks were several years old and they needed just be replaced too. So he told me that in order for my rear shocks to pass, it would be about a $500 charge to fix this. Why couldnt they just put a bolt in place of the missing one? I put that in quotes because it seems quite possible after this experience that they could have just taken it out of my vehicle when they were looking at it and tried to charge me $500 when all they needed was a bolt that costs less than a dollar.
Amazing experience.. Michael Carbone was an amazing sales representative, very straight forward. Definitely will be coming back to buy another one from him. Thank you so much Mike!
I was looking for a slightly used GMC Yukon and found one that was just what I was looking for. Jay in sales was very thorough, fair, courteous and knowledgeable. I would definitely purchase another vehicle from the Langway Dealerships again!!!!! Thank you!!😍
Efficient for oil changes.
Just picked up my new car, thanks to the best salesman Jay and of course Jim Langway that always welcomes us with a big smile and make all our purchases go really smooth. Definitely the BEST customer service we ever experience. Thanks again 😊 Jay and Jim Langway
Lance and Scott were very knowledgeable and easy to work with. I appreciated the straight forward communication and never felt pressured. I have been dealing with Langway Toyota for the last 10 plus years and have never had anything but a positive experience.
I went with my brother to help him find a new or used truck, I am a mechanic (That’ll matter in a moment)Met with a man in his 40’s, I forget his name. I was told by my boss to ask for the sales manager or the owner (Jim I believe). Both seemed to ignore the request when the receptionist asked them. We take a used tacoma for a drive. Truck is fine, price is high for the milage. I easily found a few other trucks at other dealers of the same year and options for a thousands less, including a near identical truck with 20k less miles for $4k less.Go back to the salesman, I told him it was great but the price was too high, and how other dealers had similar lower priced trucks. Here’s where things got less than adequate. He pointed over my shoulder and said, “What’s that say”There was a large banner that said something about having a good voted service department. I told him I’m a mechanic so I didn’t really care and that my brother already has a good mechanic he goes to. The salesman became a little fixated on that whole “voted best” thing. After that I told him we’d like to do $12800 on the truck. It was up for 14999. He laughed and said it would sell in a day or two for the lot price. I told him how about 13500, he laughed again and told me why it’s so desirable and will sell in moments. (I haven’t looked lately but it sat there for a few more weeks in their lot). The salesman then had the audacity to ask us what it’d take to sign for that truck that day. I told him to make the price 12500, he said no way, we left.I heard great things about Langway and left feeling like I had just warped back in time to an 80’s car lot. It was just missing the off colored checkered sports jackets. We weren’t important enough to be seen by anyone we asked for by name, just some random cocky salesman.Poor prices, poor attitudes, wouldn’t recommend.
I bought a highlander for my wife at Langway and the salesman Lance Perkins was awesome. I would highly recommend buying your car here they were very helpful with trying to get you a payment that meets your budget.
I wanted to leave a review for Langway Toyota. I recently traded in my truck and purchased a Toyota certified Camry. I found my experience from contact through car gurus to delivery to be exemplary. I got to spend some time the proud owner of Langway, Jim and get a small tour of his spotless facility. My salesman Adam Fleser was a gentleman to deal with. Langway was very busy on the day I was to take delivery on my car as it was the last day of the year. There was a slight oversight on delivery; however, I must say Langway went over and above to make sure I got my car on the time promised and that I was completely happy. I drove over an hour and forty-five minutes to go to this dealer as the dealer 15 minutes from me for the same car not certified was several thousands of dollars more than Langway. So if you want a good clean deal with no B.S., this is the place. Would I drive that far again to deal with Langway?... Absolutely without question my experience was that good
If you want to have a good experience with people that appreciate your business, shop here at Langway. I deal with a lot of dealerships and this one did great by me.Im not always easy to please...Mr Langway and his staff exceeded expectations. Thanks again!
My experience with Langway Toyota of Newport was certainly above average. I had searched for a vehicle for my family at a few other dealerships with no luck. I was consistently being hard balled and the customer service was severely lacking, even at the dealership I had been loyal to for 7+ years. Once I arrived at Langway, Michael listened to my needs, let me test drive the used car I originally came for, then reviewed all possible options with me and Scott. Both Michael and Scott treated me well, listened to concerns, needs, etc. and got me into a car (a Brand new Toyota!) under my budget while meeting all my needs. They both worked closely with me and got me in and out once we finalized what vehicle I was going with (yes even finance was friendly & quick!). I’ll be recommending all my friends and family to them! Thank you!
As a business owner I understand the impact of a negative review and I hesitated to write this. However, I cannot let what happened the past two days go without letting others know the type of business practice I experienced.Communication is key in business and unfortunately this company did not deliver. Yesterday, I contacted the dealership about a 2017 Toyota Tundra and after several back and forths with the sales manager, Russ, I was told the truck was available. It was clear that I could not put a deposit down to hold the truck but I was told there were no concerns with me getting the truck as I was paying full asking price he told me to complete the application last night and we would work out the details for the purchase this morning. It was clear that every potential sale goes through Russ and since I spoke to him directly I took him at his word that the truck was mine and it was made clear to him that I was in the process of purchasing the truck. As promised, today I completed all necessary paperwork and everything that was needed on my end and called the dealership 4 times early to mid day with NO response at all or callback. When I finally got a hold of the sales manager (Russ) he sounded rushed and stated he was outside and would call right back. Well, 2 hours later and there was no call back. I was planning on driving from out of state for this truck and needed to know what was going on and our financing was waiting on the purchase order from them to complete my end of things and make plans for pick up. I called AGAIN and finally got to speak with the finance manager (Pete) who thought Russ had already called me back. I was then informed that THEY SOLD THE TRUCK LAST NIGHT. Knowing my own way of running my business, and I know how hard it wouldve been, the right thing to do would have been to let me know as soon as the mistake was made. By seemingly avoiding my calls it only added to the distaste of the situation. And, out of a last good gesture I tried to call Russ again directly to listen to his side of things to see if anything was misunderstood or where the breakdown in communication happened as a growing opportunity. Well, you can guess what happened next as a repeat of earlier in the day...voicemail with no return call. I did leave a message and I hope it gave him something to consider.Needless to say, I wouldnt give this company my business and hopefully this review will make its way into a meeting as an opportunity to provide clearer customer service and communication; even if its a mistake that you have made that you need to own up to.
Still in shock with how well of an experience I had here. For a first time car buyer I began shopping around & hating the process, wishing to never have to buy a car again. But as soon as step foot into Langway they made the buying process enjoyable and honest. I left without any headaches & the lowest price without any negotiating. Thanks again to everyone who helped: Jay Weir, Owner James Langway, General Manager Russ, & Pete from Finance.
Car buying always makes me uneasy. I recently had a fabulous experience at Langway Toyota. I purchased a new truck and found the process to be great. The truck was priced below what I found at all the other Toyota stores I checked. The GM (Russ) and even the owner (Jim) took the time necessary to make sure I understood everything completely. I will definitely be going back to Langway for all of my car buying needs and highly recommend Jim, Russ and team.
I had my Toyota Sequoia serviced with Langway two weeks ago because my wife was in town and the car broke down. They first gave me an estimate for $1,800 which I thought was crazy so I asked them to keep it over night soI could drive up the next morning and make other plans. An hour later they called back to say they gave me a bad estimate and they could fix it for less than $600. Since it would save me a 2 hour drive from CT I said ok. The next morning my wife picked it up to drive home and on the way she called to say it still feels broken. When she got to CT 2 hours later I drove it and it was not fixed. I called the service manager who gave me a long explanation and how it was fine when it left. He told me that most likely something could have broken on the ride home!!!! Weird that the same problem would happen again in a 2 hour period after paying to have it fixed. I went to the GM and after hearing my story he said I am going to have to support my service department on this because of their good reputation. I explained that i was angry they would put my wifein this car to drive home since it wasnt safe. They both told me that there was nothing they could do and they would not give me my money back. So. I had to pay to have it fixed back in CT. They could have done the right thing but instead they tell me that odds are something else broke. I find it really hard to beleive that something else broke to cause the same problem on a 2 hour drive. In short, stay the hell away from them...
The car was giving me a service code. They explained it was over $100 charge to connect and read analyzer. I went to Auto Zone and they read it for free. My wife had not properly reinstalled the gas cap. I asked the service re what the charge was to clear the warning light. He quoted over $80. Since we had used them for all service and had even bought it from the dealership, I asked him to see what the service manager thought to do a 2-minute job for a regular customer. I go a shrug back.Mechanic at another garage said No charge. Guess who gets no more of my money.
On 9/16/19 I purchased a 2014 Toyota Corolla from Langway Toyota. I was told the car would be ready to be picked up by the end of the week. At the end of the week, it was not ready. And the following week, still not ready. Two weeks later, I picked up my car. There were two dents on the trunk, which I was previously told would be removed, and the visor mirror was smashed with glass falling out of it, which I unfortunately didn’t notice until two months later. I drove home anyway, expecting to have a reliable car, since it was Certified Pre-owned and had to pass a 160-point inspection. This was only the beginning of my problems. On 10/14/2019, I realized that I had never gotten any registration papers. I contacted Langway and was told in text, “They are waiting on the title from the finance company,” and, “We bought that car from the customers bank.” At this point, it had been a month since I purchased the vehicle. In Rhode Island, you have 20 calendar days to register the vehicle from the date on the bill of sale.On 10/22/2019, my insurance company contacted me stating that if I could not provide registration papers, my policy would be cancelled. I, again, contacted Langway and was told, “It should be done by the end of the week.” By the end of the week, the vehicle was still not registered. At this point, it was illegal for me to be driving my car and I had to ask the dealership to give me temporary paper plates. On 11/14/2019, my paper plates expired and I again had to contact the dealership. After a day went by with no response, I went in person. It was now TWO MONTHS after I purchased this vehicle, and they still had no possession of the title. Once I arrived at the dealership, I was given the news that the previous owner of my vehicle had been REFUSING TO GIVE THEM THE TITLE. For two months, I was being lied to about where the title of my vehicle was and was completely unaware of this situation. In the next few days I began looking for lawyers, visited the DMV, and contacted Toyota Headquarters trying to figure out what my options were.Eventually, the sales manager and I came to the agreement that on 11/20/19 I would come in to exchange my 2014 Toyota Corolla for a different vehicle. On 11/20/19 I received a text message that they had (somehow) registered the vehicle. I thought this was finally the end of my problems. My steering had been creaking since I got the car, but I was so caught up in trying to get the title, I didn’t focus on this. The weather started getting colder and I went to use my remote start. Also, broken. Fast forward to 5/11/2020, I brought the car in for service. On top of the dents and broken mirror that came with the car, I found out I had two broken control arms, a broken remote start, and my battery needed to be replaced. How did this car pass a 160-point inspection?I hope nobody has to go through the same experience that I did buying a car.
Bought my first car here and I am glad I did! Staff was great and not too pushy which I really appreciated. I was told a price and was not told a more expensive price later which I am very happy about. As a young college student who is new to establishing credit, other dealerships have done that to me in the past. The staff here really worked with me to get approved for a price we agreed on. My salesman, Jay, was very patient in answering all my questions and honest. He was also very friendly and personable, was great at making conversation and making the process of buying a car comfortable. He worked to make me happy! Thank you for a great experience in purchasing my first car! I recommend others to do the same.
I recently went into Langway to lease a 2020 RAV4. I’ve known Mike Carbone for a number of years and knew he was someone I would trust working with. I’ve been in sales for the majority of my career and can spot a sleazy sales person from 500ft+ away. Mike is the exact opposite. He is kind, courteous, and considerate. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience at a car dealership. Since I first started buying cars, I’ve worked with 4 different dealerships and Langway was far and above the rest. I highly recommend Mike if you are looking for a Toyota or Nissan.
Great service. They gave us a good trade-in value and made the process seamless. Great products, great dealership
I’ve been a customer at several Langway dealerships, and will continue to be going forward. The experience of purchasing my new Toyota was second to none, start to finish. The dealership itself is beautifully maintained. The owner, Jim Langway was friendly, patient and determined that my husband and I find the perfect car for us. He listened to what we wanted/needed. The staff was super friendly and helpful throughout. Damien knows his stuff inside and out and talked us through all the features on our new SUV. The price was fantastic, as was the staff, facilities and overall experience. Wouldn’t go anywhere else to purchase a vehicle!!
I was down in RI for an interview. Something happned to my wifes highlander. I think the e-brake was frozen. I called and talked to Adam the service advjsir to see what they could do. Adam got my vehicle in and they started to work on it. Adam was amazing to get this done. About 1.5 hrs I was on my way home. 2.5 hr ride. Thank you to the service team at langway Toyota.
