Amazing people! Going to an auto repair shop is equal to going to the 🦷 dentist… NOBODY wants to go…. HOWEVER, NOT SO with these guys! Mark & Dan and the crew are my hero’s! When my only son-in-law and auto mechanic moved away a couple years ago I didn’t know who I was going to trust… I went to these guys for a basic oil change and had them check my brakes while I was there. Now months later I’ve had both back and front brakes; oil changes and today more things! I am forever grateful to have found these guys and I’m now so happy to be able to trust them as well! Dan at Computer Tune & Lube was great! Honest, friendly, and fair prices. My cars engine is complicated, and even though it threw a couple of curveballs the shops way, Dan got the job done. He also did NOT try to charge me more than the original estimate, even after discovering he had to order an expensive specialized tool kit to work on my cars engine. I would highly recommend this shop.

For several years, my 2 sons and I have gone here for auto maintenance. Dan is friendly and helpful. The work is always quick, and efficient. Dan is informative as to what repairs are needed. Very good business.

I’ve been going to these guys for a couple of years and it’s a bit of a hike from home but I prefer them over any chain service. For example: I drive A LOT for work and to visit family, don’t really have auto intel per se, just basics. Last time I got an oil change at a different place on the whim, I asked the guys to check the brakes because I kept hearing noises and felt shaking a little bit. They assured me I had about 6 months left on the pads, rotors look great blah blah. Two months later, I was able to hike to Computer tune and lube for another oil change and they show me, (not just tell me, but actually show me) my brakes are kissing metal, rotors completely shot. I get that the other shop probably didn’t anticipate me driving as much as I do, but still.... two months?!?Anyway. Dan comped my oil change since brakes and rotors is a pricey unplanned fix, offered me a vehicle to go get some food if I got hungry while I waited for the repair THAT SAME DAY. Only took about another hour and change. Always great service, they know their stuff, feels like they actually care, all the mushy goodness. Love them, get nervous to go anywhere else.

This is THE BEST place to get oil changes and any other service your car requires. I had my BMW serviced here and they did my oil change and multi-point inspection flawlessly. I was in immediately and out within 30 minutes! They specially ordered my BMW filter in advance and even reset the BMW factory service notification. Other Non-Dealer Oil change companies have absolutely no idea how to do it and I end up having to manually do it myself from YouTube Tutorials. The general manager Dan is amazing and made sure every detail of my BMW service was professionally and efficiently handled. I drive 30 minutes from South Windsor to get service here because I know that there is NOBODY better than Computer Tune & Lube. I highly recommend them to everyone that I know! Def get ALL of your car service needs done here...

A family member was driving our familys 2008 Honda CR-V to Middletown, CT in October when the check engine light came on. After taking it to two shops that werent able to take a look at the vehicle, we got lucky and found Computer Tune and Lube. After our family member took the car in, I talked with Dan the owner by phone; he couldnt have been more informative and patient. He attended nearby Wesleyan University so we know he got a solid education. Dans team diagnosed the problem as a fairly common one with CR-Vs V-TEC engines, the solenoid, which can malfunction and cause the engine to throw a code, in this instance a P-2647. CT&L replaced the solenoid and explained how he hoped that would solve the problem though sometimes, if the oil hasnt been changed often enough, a bad solenoid can be just one symptom among others related to too infrequent oil changes. He also recommended some other work be done, such as a tune up with replacement of the plugs and wires and replacement of the front brake pads and rotors. Our family member drove away happy and did a long drive to Philadelphia. After the 3.5 hours drive, however, the car threw a similar code. Our family member took it to car repair place in Philadelphia. And heres the thing, the Philadelphia shop took a look at the work that CT& L did and said it was solid, a really good job and that all he could do at that point was clear the code and send our family member on the way. Despite the additional code, I view the work CT&L did very positively because Dan did indeed warn us that there can sometimes be additional issues related to too infrequent oil changes. CT&L is also part of the Tech-Net Automotive Service network, meaning that if they make a repair for someone not local like us, you can get a warrantied repair redone at a shop closer to home thats part of the network. All in all, I was very impressed by Dan and his CT&L and appreciate him throwing some additional work gratis.

I just became a customer for life! We drove all the way from Springfield to have our car serviced. They are THAT amazing. They were accurate in their diagnosis of our vehicle where others failed to even mention the extent of the issue. They developed a game plan to fix our vehicle that didn’t break the bank. Not only that but they also gave us a vehicle to be able to get around. I thought we were going to be without a car for at least 2 days but to our delight they finished the same day! If that’s not enough they also stayed after close so that we may pick up our vehicle. They went above and beyond for us. They made us feel comfortable, and even taught us things about our vehicle, so that we may be better informed. We left there so grateful that we made the decision to bring our vehicle here. I don’t know what we would’ve done if we had taken our place elsewhere. If you want a reputable place to bring your car, that will tell it to you straight, but that won’t take advantage of you then come to Computer Tune & Lube. I won’t ever take my vehicle anywhere else ever again. Thank you!!

A bit of a story, but worth the read if you are considering going here for service!I originally went in to have my serpentine belt replaced, but ended up getting my brakes done as well. The gentleman working at the counter was busy, and I hadnt made an appointment, but he took his time to explain to me the work my car would need, and gave me an estimate for the price. The most suprising thing to me was that very day they took my car in, sent me home with a loaner (for free!), and my car was ready the next day by 2 oclock! They also provided a complimentary oil change. The timing, professionalism, and service was outstanding.THEN, a few days after service I heard a rattling noise coming from under my car. Yes, my car is 10 years old, but I also have the horrible luck of every time I get work done somewhere, something else ends up going wrong. I gave them a call and they asked me to bring it in. I was out of town at the time, so they gave me advice on what to do in the moment and that I should stop by on Monday. Monday comes around and the second I walked in the door they recognized me and remembered the exact reason why I was in there. They took my car in, found it was something minor, fixed it in 5 minutes, and didnt charge me a thing!I could not be more thankful to have found a place with people who care about their customers so much, are knowledgeable, and provide great service!

Very meticulous and knowledgeable. Dan and his team are super friendly and have a quick turn around on repairs. If youre looking to save money I would have to say that they are not any cheaper than any other mechanic shop around but if you want the job done right, from diagnostics to repair, than this is the place.

These guys will take care of you. I came in for an emissions test and to have my AC fixed. On the way over my low tire pressure light came on, so I asked them to fill it up. Turns out my TPMS needed a reset. Dan hooked me up and reset it for me without a charge. Would normally have to make a trip to the dealership for this. Everything else done was very reasonably priced and quickly done. Will definitely be returning here!

I have been taking my cars to computer tune and lube for years now and I can’t say enough great things about their work. They get the job done and are very professional and straightforward, not once have I felt like they are trying to sell me something I may not need. I just recently brought in my Porsche for heat issues and was able to get it back the same day with the heat working better than ever. I have also called them with questions in the past regarding my car and they have always been so accommodating telling me to stop by same day and they could take a look & let me know what’s going on. Just last week I stopped in to have them look at one of my tires and they put the car on the lift and found a nail in my tire and plugged it ASAP, I was there for less than half hour and was able to go on with my day and travel plans. It has been a pleasure doing business with them and I would highly recommend them for anyone having car trouble or for an oil change or even an emissions test. We have been loyal customers for many years. Dan and Mark always explain what is wrong and how urgent it is so that we can decide whether to take care of it immediately or not. They always make time for us even when they are very busy. Estimates of cost and time required to do the work are very accurate. Every time we buy a car we take it there first so that they can give us their opinion.

Our car was making noises and seemed to be losing power. Our other vehicle had failed, and we are down to one vehicle which makes life quite difficult. We have driven by Computer Tune and Lube countless times. They are about a quarter mile from home, so we decided to take the car in for diagnostics. Dan, the service manager, is extremely knowledgeable and personable. They quickly discovered the problem, and Rod, the mechanic who loves working on our make/model vehicle, explained everything in detail. We knew right away that we were in good hands. We decided to have them do the repair work on the spot. They ordered the necessary parts and started work immediately! The repairs were completed promptly, but while the work was done, a loaner car was provided. The loaner allowed me to complete errands and collect my daughter from school which was appreciated greatly.We had the car in most recently for new brakes. The mechanics had the installation completed in approximately 30 minutes! We haven’t met all the mechanics yet, but we will. We would give them 6 STARS if that was possible!! We regret not bringing our vehicles to them sooner. We are sure we would have had less downtime and grief while saving money.Keep up the excellent work. My wife and I moved to CT about a year ago, and as soon as we found Dan (the owner of Computer Tune and Lube) we have had all our major work done here. From a timing belt replacement on a 00 Honda Accord, and mysterious check engine lights, to new brakes for our 08 Hyundai Accent, and even some recent body work, Dan and his team have been extremely accommodating, providing excellent, swift service, at reasonable, even generous prices (from an accurate quote), even going so far as to provide a loaner car (free of charge) in extenuating circumstances. Dans team is always on our side, providing all the information required to make an informed decision, but never pushing us in a specific direction without our clear buy-in to the need for specific work: they never try to up-sell an issue just to make an extra buck. Despite the fact that we now live in Wethersfield, 30 minutes away, Computer Tune and Lube is our first choice for all our car repair needs. I recommend this shop to anyone in need of excellent service.

In response to Dennis Clark - Your son came in for the first time in June of 2009 (over 6 years ago) in dire need of a clutch. We performed a fairly priced repair and then 4 months later, (not a few days later); the Shifter Fork in the transmission failed, which damaged the new clutch. We did not charge to replace the clutch a second time, we charged to repair the shifter fork, in which we only charged wholesale price on the clutch kit, due to the fact that is was damaged. We have made several attempts to reach out to Mr. Clark to resolve the situation and clear up any confusion about this repair that occurred over 6 years ago. However, he has not returned any of our calls. Mr. Clark if you read this, we would like to invite you to return to us for service and we will offer you as a courtesy a $100.00 voucher for service.

Dan is the Man!!!!If you are in need of a honest auto repair shop, this is the place to go. Ask for Dan he will work with you and make everything you need happen. I called him on a Monday morning for a 2nd opinion (dont go to Monro) on front end work for a Mazda 3. Not only did he fix it for much less he gave me a loaner car to get to work until my car was done, talked me through everything and saved all the old/bad parts to show what work was done. I have been in and out of multiple shops in the last 4 years this is hands down the best one. Work was done June 2018 and not one problem since 4k later. Bring your car here you wont be sorry.

Do Not EVER Go There. I had one leaking Brake Line and they Convinced me to replace all (4) and Said it would be (4) hours of work at $88/hr + around $35 in Parts so at $430 total. He just called me and said the car is ready and it is $530 and He was trying to get me to have them do another $500 worth of work to the car on top of ripping me off.

My girlfriend and I are from NY. We were on our way to Rhode Island for a weekend getaway when the check engine light came on in our car. Now, knowing nothing about cars we obviously became concerned that something was wrong with the car, and being a long drive and far from home, we decided not to risk it and attempted to find a place to check it out. We ended up driving through the small town of Middletown, CT, and found computer tune and lube. It looked like a trustworthy spot to put our panicked minds at ease. The manager, Dan, was very charismatic and nice to us. We dropped the car off and waited for the diagnostic. He called us back to the shop about a half hour later with the news. Again, I dont know anything about cars, so he brought us into the garage and told us the reason the check engine light came on was something very minor with the emissions (or something along those lines) which was an easy fix and cheap. Then he told us there were bigger problems. Something with the axel and tire and some other things that were detrimental to our safety. He said we might not have even made it to Rhode Island if we hadnt stopped to fix this. We were floored and very concerned so I said to not worry about the emissions problem or whatever the reason the check engine light came on (because it was not an immediate safety concern) and to just fix the tire and everything else that was a safety issue. Dan said dont worry well throw that in for free. All in all the entire bill was $728. They fixed everything they said was wrong in 2 hours which was great because we just wanted to get back on the road to our vacation. Dan was very nice and even told us there is a one year warranty on the work. We thanked him, paid the huge bill and went on our way. Everything was fine, until our drive back home 2 days later when the check engine light came on again! Now, for the third time, i do not know anything about cars, but I do know that after shelling out over $700 to someone, the problem you went there for should be fixed. We passed by Middletown, CT, On our way back, with the check engine light shining loud and bright, but decided not to take it back to them to honor their 1 year warranty for fear they would find something else wrong with the car and charge us even more money. We risked it and got home and took the car to our local mechanic in whom we trust. They told me it was a minor problem with something that I dont recall Dan from computer tune and lube ever mentioning.... Oh, and looking at the bill, they charged us for the emissions problem that they said would be thrown in for free. Im not exactly sure what happened, but I do regret not getting a second opinion.
