We had a problem with our tire while traveling through the state. We pulled off Rt 1 in Middletown and found Middletown Car Care. They were very accommodating and fit us into their busy schedule. Our tire was fixed and we happily continued on our travels. Good service, reasonable price and friendly staff.

The staff there are always welcoming and whenever I go there for anything they tell me when they can do it. And I just have to show up on the appointed time and they get it done. I have nothing but great experience with them and for most of your car needs check them out.

They were honest about the repair and cost. The woman at the corner was very helpful and very knowledgeable. The men who worked on my car, loved where they worked and loved what they do. That means a lot these days. The owner even took time on his break to show my son the shop. My son loved it!!

Not only is the staff at the Middletown car Care center fast professional & knowledgeable but they are also a friendly staff that went above and beyond teaching me things about my vehicle Its the place I will definitely go back to👍👍🙂

9/8/21Edited to add: Today I took my car in for an oil change and to fix an issue with the AC. The AC issue was previously repaired by Middletown Car Care and 3 weeks later the part broke. They ordered the part replacement, adjusted my AC so it would still work with a broken part, called me when it came in and installed it today at no extra cost. I just paid for the oil change today. AND...they came to my house to pick me up because I did not have a ride to pick my car up from them when they finished!! I was blown away by the gracious customer service!! They tell you brakes and pads are $325.00 prior to replacing they tell me $945.00. I paid $760.00. Im NEVER going back. I wish no business go down. Hopefully they will continue but not with me.

I noticed a strange sound from my car on my drive down to the beach for 4th of July weekend. I called these guys to see if they could take a look and tell me if I was safe to keep driving, and they were able to see me within 15 minutes. Even though I didnt get any repairs done there, they checked out my car for free and were super nice and respectful. I would absolutely go here again!

I happened to stop by and unfortunately they were full that day. They quickly made me an appointment for the next day. I showed up the next day and was beautifully greeted by Ann Marie. Sean then looked over my car, realized that there was nothing really wrong, just a few loose bolts. He tightened them up in under five minutes, said don’t worry about it and sent me on my way. I am not a patron of this facility but had to use their service to put in air in a tire. They were very obliging and went above what I needed. Not only did they put air in my tire but checked the batteries on the tire plugs. If I lived in Middletown they would certainly be my care care favility6

Took my vehicle in for an estimate on fixing my heat. Ended up being charged over 200 dollars for having it looked at as well as given an outrageous estimate of over 1000 dollars. Got a second opinion from a family friend who is not even a mechanic and he fixed the problem in 15 minutes. Would not recommend. They will rip you off.

The people at Middletown car care are amazing. On Christmas Eve, my mother had issues with her car after she picked up my sisters family at the train station.... With one phone call, they waited for her to arrive, changed her battery after finding it was the cause... And said dont worry come pay for it Monday. I was driving down the road when my tire popped. Being new to the area and having no one to help me I was stranded. Sean pulled over to help me when no one would after waiting on the road for 20 minutes. He had the tools that I didn’t and changed my tire for me. This is a review long overdue and I truly owe it to Middletown Car Care to publicly praise them for the excellent service I have received there over nearly a decade. I can count on one hand the businesses I have taken the time to actually sit down, collect my thoughts, and write an online review for and that alone, from my perspective at least, is a testament to the quality of service Ive received over the years. Google only allows 5 stars, and my rating only shows 5 stars, but my actual rating is 6, and thats because Middletown Car Care has always gone the extra mile for me; saving me time, money, and frustration. First and foremost, theyre a trustworthy shop. Theyre not trying to run up a bill full of unnecessary work or repairs or maintenance that is not immediately needed. They give you a straight forward diagnosis of the problem, tell you what you need to fix immediately, advise you of issues that may present a problem in the near future (and how long you have until it becomes an immediate issue); they give you a quote for each repair, and theres no pressure - you choose the repairs you want done. In my experience, those future issues that they point out typically arise in the quoted approximate time period - Ive learned its better to take their advice and not get stuck on the side of the road. The service is fast and usually done before the original estimate. Ive also had numerous instances in which the final cost has come in well below the original estimate. Sean has worked some magic on my cars, coming up with creative solutions to properly repair issues and save me a ton of money. I tried many shops when I moved to Middletown and despite my cynicism and skeptical nature, Middletown Car Care won me over - and enough for a wordy 6 star review.

So my car out of the blue wouldnt start. I had my dad jump it, from there we find out that the break lights were the cause and that they wouldnt go off. I had my rear brakes replaced in May. I had another place check my rear calipers. Come to find out somewhere along the way two of my lug nuts were over tightened, broke off and my tire was wobbling. I started researching who sent me down the road with a potentially dangerous car. I took my records to Sean and had a very long and detailed conversation with him. He explained to me and worked with me on what was going on and how to fix it. Sean went above and beyond. Out of good faith, Sean made the decision to change out my calipers, rotors, brake pads and build my brakes from scratch. Stresed out and thankful, I had tears in my eyes. I believe his shop wasnt at fault (because they werent the last ones to touch my rear tires) but because he told me that the most important thing was a safe car for me and my 4 year old daughter. I went in wanting compensated for a $138 Bill and a new tire. I got much more than that. The first time I went to Middletown Car Care Center I told them that I am looking for a honest place to take my car. I have found a good, honest, car care center. Thank you to Sean and his staff.

They really fleeced me today. Radiator job on a 96 Accord. $914. Looking over the bill, they charged me excessively for EVERYTHING. Even hose clamps @4$ a piece. Radiator hose was $70??? Cmon...$13 for a thermostat gasket?? Truly disappointed as they seemed like such nice people. Oh well, back to the search for an honest shop....smh

My husband took our car in for a repair. When I picked it up, the check engine light came on and a 🔧 appeared on my dash. I immediate went back in to inform them and was told, it was like that when you brought it in - NOT TRUE! We could run a diagnostic for you, for $100, but not today.I barely made it home and parked my car for two and a half weeks.I finally took it to a mechanic up the road, and they ran a FREE diagnostic and found the mass airflow sensor had been unplugged. He plugged it in for free and I was on the road. Middletown Car Care was not very helpful and I can only pray that the work they did lasts.

I recently purchased a used 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse and wanted a mechanic to look over the vehicle and address some concerns I had. Being new to the Middletown area I wasnt sure where to go and found Middletown Car Care online and made an appointment. Well i have to say that they have a new customer for life. From the time I was greeted until the time I left, I felt like I had been going there for 20 years. They treated me with respect and addressed each of my concerns. This is the first time I didnt feel like I was pressured into doing repairs from a mechanic and they now have a customer for life. Great service, honest and friendly. What more could you ask for?

Took vehicle in because i drove through high water and it shut down my engine. They replaced the necessary parts to get it running again. Just over a year later engine shut down brought it to them the exact same situation but did not go through any water this time engine just shut down. I ask if there was a warranty on the work they did? They said yes but only a year. It was no more then a week over a year later. Ask if he would pro rated he said no. So i got a tow truck and took it to another mechanic. He told me someone never put back the long bolt that tightens the belt it was missing. Thats why ur serpentine belt came off and shut down engine. You think middle town car care would have seen this and told me when they just looked at it. This is when it was called meineke it changed names but still the same bad service that i experience with same owner.
