My high mileage heavily modified 2007 BMW 335 had some serious oil leaking issues. I knew I needed help from someone with expertise in the car, and this place was close enough to me that I could get there without losing too much oil.I was blown away by how thorough and professional Mark and his team were. They took photos of all of the issues they identified with the vehicle and cleaned off all oil residue from the underside of the engine and the plastic panels. After fixing the first oil leak they also used a borescope to confirm my rear main seal was leaking which is a job that requires the transmission to be replaced. I was confident the team at Northeast Motor Works would do a professional job, and have the car back together just how it came off the assembly line. They got the work done in a timely manner, and did an outstanding job. My car runs like new. Yes, the cost of labor is a bit expensive, but you get what you pay for, and sometimes you need a team that does the best work around. If you are wondering what kind of guys are at Northeast Motor Works, they are people who take pride in their work. While my vehicle was there, they identified a few smaller issues with the car and repaired them for essentially free. This is the kind of TLC that you cant find most places anymore. Too many companies focus on getting the car out the door as fast a possible. This place gets your car running the way it should run.If nothing I wrote above convinced you that you will be in good hands, their repairs are covered by a 3 year/36,000 mile warranty!I am certain the prices are better than a BMW dealership and the care and attention to detail are unbeatable.
Just moved here from NH and needed a trustworthy independent BMW shop for my 2 BMWs. Based on previous reviews, I chose Northeast Motor Werks. What a great choice too. Mark has just earned my business as the go to place for service. He performed oil changes on both this week, and also fixed minor body and trim issues. Most importantly, Mark test drove both of them before he handed the keys back to me which my prior Indys never did. Good thing he did too, since he found an issue on the test drive that he also quickly took care of. Quality of service is at the top on his list.Ill be recommending Northeast Motor Werks to anyone who wants a solution to the high prices at the dealer. Thanks Mark!
They were very thorough, had excellent customer service, and prices were great compared to others we have tried. I think we found our new regular mechanic! I can’t say as I have ever been impressed with a mechanic business but these guys impressed me!
I cant say enough about the work of Mark and team. I recently acquired a 2011 M3 that had started overheating. Resolving the issues completely took deep knowledge and persistence, but persist they did. They go above and beyond to do right by their customers... I will continue to bring my BMWs to Northeast Motor Werks now and in the future!
An automotive experience unlike others! I brought my BMW 335xi over to Mark following suggestions for work that was needed per the dealership. Mark provided a detailed quote with pictures of the areas that needed repair. He then brought me into the service bay, pointed out and discussed everything thoroughly and explained my options. We agreed upon the work but he noted it required a couple of days to complete. To my surprise, he made a quick call to arrange a loaner vehicle. When he called for me to pick up the car, he had already taken a look at the filters and replaced them as necessary. My horn was no longer working on the car as well and I bought the materials to replace the horn myself and left them in the car. Since he had the front wheels off for other service, he took the time to install the horns as well. All in all, it was a great experience with above par customer service. Pricing was more competitive than the dealer and the work done was more preventative than what they suggested allowing for greater peace of mind for the future. Mark definitely earned a new customer!
Mark was amazing. Extremely polite, courteous and knowledgeable. I was in a situation where I was expecting a large bill, and he knew it. But unlike other shops I’ve visited, he had no intention of taking advantage of me. The cost was a fraction of what I anticipated. Thanks again!
Northeast Motor Werks is the perfect dealer alternative, especially when your BMW/Mini is outside of warranty. They are the type of mechanic that will physically show you issues with your vehicle including showing your worn brake pads after replacement. Mark @ Northeast is experienced, reliable and trustworthy: recommending but not pressuring you on preemptive maintenance. Labor price is fair: favorably in between dealer prices and the too good to be true repair shop your friend recommended. Keep up the great work!!
Best place to take your Mini when it needs work. Mark is fair, professional, and communicative; cant beat that combination.
Excellent shop, owner is an expert and BMW and Mini enthusiast. Fixed my 2012 BMW X5 for far less than the quote the BMW dealer gave me ($572 versus the BMW dealer telling me $1,400!!). This is a shop where you are serviced by a real expert who cares about every aspect of your vehicle and has the experience and ability to do any type of service whether major or routine. Highly highly recommended, I will not be going back to the BMW dealer for service, Northeast Moto Werks is my go-to place now!!
Mark did work on my BMW 650i.. im very happy with the car and service.. THANK YOU!!!!!!!! God Bless..!!
Very happy with their service. Super knowledgable on Mini and the shop is spotless.
Mark is a top notch mechanic, who specializes in BMWs and MINIs. He is honest, fair, and wont do any work that doesnt need to be done. Im very happy I brought my 04 325 to him and look forward to continuing my business to him in the future.
Mark is professional, courteous, and provides attention to detail. I would not hesitate to use him again for my future BMW servicing.
Mark Aunger, formerly of BMW of New London, is the proprietor of this absolutely wonderful BMW/Mini repair shop. Mark has done several repairs on my e90 335i, and each time I’ve received a car back that is expertly repaired and for a fair price. Mark will provide whatever level of detail you’d like on what needs to be done / what he’s done to your car. He is very easy to get ahold of, and responds very quickly to emailed questions. He is honest and I’ve never once feared one of those dealership experiences that can lead to invoice totals that are just jaw-droppingly insane. If your BMW or Mini is out of factory warranty, do yourself a favor and bring your car to Mark and take back the experience of maintaining your fine German automobile.
Back when I still had my BMW always brought it here great service very happy
Mark explained the repairs well and was pleasant to deal with. Among the issues with my 20-year old 3-series was a broken glove box - Mark was able to repair it rather than order a replacement and I appreciated that he found a lower-cost way to take care of the problem.
Thanks for the advice and service mark, It is nice to talk to someone who is technical and pays attention to details.
Good service..
