I went in there not sure of what I was getting or if it was good and the lady helped me pick out everything and told me her best recommendations according to people coming back for the same products. She was so nice and patient and helped me through every step of the way. Had such a great experience here, 10/10 recommend and the prices are great!

The location of the store was distance from where I stay. At least 20 miles. Therefore, I was hesitant to travel. However I am a big supporter of Black owned businesses.In my experiences sometimes our businesses pricesare not competitive. This was not the case at iDa. The atmosphere is welcoming and helpful. Prices are affordable. A wide variety of choices. Excellent in store customer service. A wide variety of products It was worth the effort to travel make an sincere effort to travel to support this business.

If you need a wig, especially a lace front, go elsewhere. Their wigs are really low quality for the price. The selection is small and I couldn’t believe the mess of a wig the one I bought was once I got home, since you’re barely allowed to really touch them in store. I’ve been wearing lace fronts for years and have never come across one as bad as this.If you’re looking for a good wig locally, I recommend Beauty Works in Newburgh. Their wigs are excellent, prices a great, and you’re free to touch them and feel them out as much as you’d like. I won’t be purchasing from iDa’s anymore.

IDA hair store isnt just a hair store there family. If I am having a problem (life issues) Ida or her loving daughter Opie will give a heart felt word to me and a great big hug. I go there so much they know when Im feeling down, this is what makes them different. You should want to shop at a store when the owners care more about you then money.May GOD continue to bless there business.

If I could give this place a zero. I would. So...... I have cancer. I went in with my hairdresser who took time out of her schedule to pick out a wig with me. Probably 2. So supposedly, you are only allowed to try on three and the lady said because you will get confused! Well guess what? Cancer confused me....not a wig purchase. We are not children who entered this store but two adult women in their 40s. True....we did not WANT to be there but obviously we HAD to be. Maybe its because we dont wear wigs for fashion....but this is a HUGE decision for people who dont wear wigs in their everyday life. Whether to look like yourself, whether to be bolder, what color choice to pick, what style to go with. 3 choices is absolutely absurd. I was there to buy. Not to play dress up. Im so disgusted that an establishment can have such a blatant mind set and not even bend the rules for something like this. I wouldve paid extra to ensure I was making a correct decision. And thats what it boils down to. Making a correct decision. I wouldnt buy shoes or a dress without trying them on. And guess what......there are no limits to how many items you can try on. Maybe you cant take in too many at once...but for sure....you can try on what you need to. I really hope this woman can put her head down on her pillow at night and THINK shes a good person.

Today I had a bad experience. I’m honestly annoyed. Normally I get very friendly greetings and great help. Today I asked my wonderful father to purchase braiding hair for me. I sent him a picture of the exact brand that I wanted. He told me that he showed the picture and came back home with something different than what I asked for. We went to the store and I explained that the hair that was given to my dad is not what I had wanted/ needed. I was given a whole speech about how the hair from a different brand is all the same as kanekelon braiding hair. I’ve used multiple different braiding hair and not all of them are the same. The only reason I need hair from that store is because school starts in a day and I needed to finish my hair. The hair I purchased at the other beauty supply store in Middletown is much softer and comes with more hair in the pack than what I was given. Due to desperation I just asked for another pack I’m very very disappointed because if the lady had said she didn’t have that hair brand in the first place I wouldn’t have wasted money. Sorry not sorry. But I didn’t appreciate the fact that I was being spoken to like I didn’t know what I wanted. I won’t be purchasing from here anymore. Enjoy the rest of your day

I was made to feel like a less than valuable customer in this store. I was dressed in business attire because I just got off work and I still felt as if the lady with the large hair was following me around in a not so helpful way more like observing me for stealing. Either way I will not be back because there is a better place to buy my products from in the ShopRite plaza across from the Middletown Flea Market.

I began shopping at Idas when they were in the pink building off of 211. The new location is very nice and am very proud of your business expansion. I was in the store late Nov. I made a small purchase that came up to $9, Ida informed me that the minimum credit card purchase is $10 (the banks charge them a nominal fee for each transaction). I know this because I too am a business owner and use credit card machines. I was disappointed because my purchased was $1 off from the $10 min. For a moment there I thought about leaving the item on the counter. Why would you deny a $9 sell for $1 and maybe .50 bank charge, if that. If you do the math you are still making a decent profit and If I left you would have loss. Not just loss that purchase but my future business on simply principle. Even if your bank charge is more than .50 I know it isnt more than $1. I hope you can receive this review as a constructive critique and not complaint. Perhaps think about the customers repeat business, the difference in the amount. How much are you making compared to what youd be losing. Another, option is to first ask the csr if they have another form of payment due to the cc purchase limit. Then if they do not make a sound judgement call and consider the bigger picture. As business owners we (me included) must be able to think outside the box. Maybe smile more, be more engaging and friendly. Your daughter has a very pleasant demeanor.
