Shopping at Lastrina Girls Bridal Salon was a wonderful experience. As a plus size bride I was so concerned about dress shopping however all of those concerns melted away working with Holly & the team. I absolutely recommend checking them out for you wedding dress, mothers dress & bridesmaids need!

Lastrina Girls Bridal Salon is the only bridal salon you need to go to!They were nothing but accommodating - Im not a plus size and they make sure than any size woman feels beautiful and finds her perfect dress! They had tons of dresses in stock that fit me to try on. My dress was actually the second one that I tried on and I couldnt have asked for anything more perfect!

I had a wonderful experience at Lastrina Girls! It was my first time dress shopping and Katie made me feel so comfortable, was very respectful of my budget, and expertly navigated my family dynamics while making me feel in control. Theyre an LGBTQ friendly store - I went in nervous about the so whats *his* name? question (cue complicated family dynamics!) but nothing of the sort happened, and Katie excitedly asked about the proposal and love story as she would with any other bride. Overall, definitely recommend.

I bought my wedding dress here back in spring 2018. I was living in Virginia and having my wedding in CT, and only had a few days to try on dresses with my mom and maid of honor. I went to this shop after stopping at a couple beforehand and tried several dresses on. After some thought I decided on a dress. I was promised the tailor would be able to make the dress more fitted and the employee lifted the dress up to show how it would look once tailored. I was happy thinking it would be fitted after I had been slaving at the gym and on a strict diet. She had me order a size 12 (I was fitting in an 8/10) because I was gifted on top, and said the tailor would be able to take in the dress to make it more fitted on my waist.After seeing the recommended tailor she was not able to take in the dress as much as I was told by Lastrina. Also the tailor was quite rude and charged over $400 and not very pleasant to work with. My dress had several inches of room in the stomach/waist and hung on my frame. The lower back was cinching open and I felt like my butt was exposed during my first dance. I was very disappointed and did not feel as beautiful as one should on her wedding day. I regret not selecting a different dress from another bridal salon. To this day I am not happy with my dress.

Found the most amazing dress for my wedding!! Holly was amazing! Fantastic experience

Made an appointment in search of mother of the bride dress for my daughters wedding. We were assigned to Holly. Holly was extremely helpful and I loved her tactful review of dresses that i was trying I found a dress that I liked but we had another appointment and felt that I needed to keep the appointment as it was only 30 minutes til our appointment and didn’t want to blow off the next shop. We were honest with Holly and I asked if she could take me measurements should my final decision be the dress at their shop. Absolutely she said. We went to the next appointment and my daughter fell in love with a dress I tried there However the dress was black and i promised myself that I would not wear black (my favorite clothing color) to her wedding. We decided that we would step back and sleep on /make other appointments. 1/2 way home i said lets go back to Listrina. The shop was busy when we went back They asked if we were back to order the plum Jovani dress and when i asked if i could try it on again they were more than accommodating even though they were busyI tried the dress and ordered it.

My cousin and I had visited this bridal shop and were very happy with the staff and services received! This was our third or fourth shop and we are so glad we kept our appointment. Tanya helped us that day, she was pleasant and helpful. Most importantly we should THE DRESS. My cousin said yes to a beautiful wedding dress and we could not be happier. Would definitely recommend this shop to anyone who is looking for their perfect dress.

Very Covid friendly with mask requirements etc. We were there to pick up my daughters wedding dress and they were just as accommodating as when we first came in.

Literally can not say enough great things about this place. Very cozy and welcoming. They take their time to really listen to what you want and know exactly what they are doing. I went in with a list of dresses I saw on their website, which I thought I loved, but I ended up falling in love with and purchasing a dress that was not on my list. I’m so sad to read a couple of the negative reviews on here because my experience was 100% the opposite. I chose Lastrina Girls to purchase my dress after my best friend got her wedding dress here and it was a great experience. I also don’t like to shop or try clothes on so I wanted this to be a fast experience. I had already seen many dresses I liked from my first visit with my friend so I went with them too. I wish I remembered the ladies names who helped me :( but there was one who helped pick the dresses and another who helped me get the dresses on. They were so incredibly kind, sweet, and made this experience fun for me. I honestly liked every dress they pulled for me and really listened to my list of things I wanted. The dress I chose was beautiful and so comfortable. They interacted and treated my grandmother, mother and mother in law very kindly as well. I have nothing to complain about and it was everything and more I wanted my wedding dress shopping to be. I’m sorry Lastrina I do not remember the girls names but thank you so very much for making my special time even more amazing 💗

I am 5 months pregnant and will have 6 months between having a baby and the wedding date. I was so nervous and apprehensive about when to try on a dress. I emailed and spoke on the phone with Krista who was amazing. She made me feel confident that trying on a dress now would be better in the end. I was still feeling down. I was convinced my experience would be me trying on dresses and crying because nothing looked good or fit me. I couldnt have been more wrong. I worked with Jill who was really great. She sat and listened to what I wanted, price point and style. We began trying on dresses and at dress #2, I full on Say Yes to the Dress cried. Even with my baby belly, I felt beautiful. It was so flattering. We tried on one more just because but we both knew it was the one. I wish I could relive that moment because it was just so special. My dress is not even what I thought I wanted but it is absolutely perfect in every way. It is unique and goes with the style of my wedding. Jill is fantastic, Krista is fantastic and all of the staff were friendly and great. If youre looking for a more intimate wedding dress experience, I highly recommend the staff at Lastrina Girls. They gave me a moment Ill never forget.

Amazing, Amazing, Amazing customer service. Krista is fantastic. I went into this boutique with my friend whom was shopping for her wedding gown, She had been to many different places and tried on an exhausting amount of dresses to no avail!! Krista sat with her asked her how she wanted to feel on her wedding day, what she liked in a dress etc.. My friend showed her a picture of a dress that she really liked and Krista went off and picked a handful of gowns. My friend put on the first one and it was PERFECT!!! She said YES to the dress. When you walk into a place and you witness great customer service and your not shopping for yourself, this is the place for all BRIDES to shop!!! Clean, professional, great wedding dress selections, Knowledgeable, everything you want/need to make your dress shopping a memorable experience!!!!!!! A professional store with great customer service. There is no pressure to push you to buy a dress. There was a good selection to choose from and they let you figure out what you want. Also both sisters were so nice and friendly! Very helpful! Definitely visit!

I loved shopping at Lastrina Girls! They carry such a wide variety of dresses and are so reasonably priced. I was on a tight timeline to order a dress (5 months) and they were so helpful! The consultant working with me very much listened to the type of dress I was looking for. Im super indecisive and she helped me to commit and feel confident about my decision. Rude and unprofessional !!I called to make an appointment for Wedding dresses. The first thing I was asked was how much money does my daughter have to spend. I was taken back by such rudeness . I was then given there range of prices and what she was expected to spend. This place does not care about people all they care about is how much money they can make off of you.

The shop itself is so beautiful and I had the pleasure of working with Hayley and Krista and I couldnt have had a better experience. They are so caring, they take their time and really get to know the bride as a person. After visiting a few shops beforehand, I found my dream dress within my budget! at Lastrina and I cant wait to wear it! They are so accommodating, truly wonderful people. Lastrina Girls Bridal Salon was an amazing experience! I was emailing with Tessa before my appointment and she was so helpful and kind. Jill was my consultant day of. She was amazing! She was not only extremely knowledgeable about the dresses, but she listened to what I had to say about each dress. Jill pulled the most perfect dress for my body type! It was everything i didnt know i wanted in a dress and I said YES to the Dress! The women at Lastrina are amazing and I highly recommend going!

I loved it! I called a few times before my appointment and they were very accommodating and answered all my questions. They appointment went great and the girls in the salon were professional, easy to talk to and very knowledgeable. I would recommend it to anyone.

I would highly recommend that Lastrina Girls is on every brides list for both bridal dresses and bridesmaids dresses. My bridesmaids got their bridesmaids dresses from Lastrina Girls and the girls looked so fabulous in them. It can be hard sometimes to pick dress that looks good on different heights and body types, but Krista had so many options to choose from. So many guests at our wedding complimented how beautiful the dresses were and what a perfect color they were. When I visited Krista I knew I wanted a natural color, but wasnt sure what color to choose - it can be a pick choice and it determines a lot of the details at the wedding. Krista was so knowledgable about what color looked good in pictures and with different tones and her recommendations were on point! I cannot thank Krista and her team enough! She is such a doll to work with and super professional - always answering all my emails and phone calls timely and patiently! Thank you again :)

As my first time trying on dresses and not knowing what to expect the ladies definitely made me comfortable and walked me through everything to find out what style I was most comfortable with and found the perfect dress and pointers for getting bridesmaid dresses. Beautiful dresses there!!

I dont even know where to begin. This was my first time trying on wedding dresses and it was by far the best experience that I had. Krista was fantastic. Before we even started looking at dresses she sat down with me and asked me all about my wedding and got to know me - colors, themes, what the men are wearing, what I envision the wedding as (classic, simple, formal, etc), etc. She then asked me what I wanted in a dress, and even when I didnt know how to clearly describe things, she knew exactly what I meant. The dresses she pulled for me to try on all matched my style and had different things that I wanted. She is so good that the first one I tried on is the one. The whole experience was very organic and natural.

Almost everyone who left a 5 star review has only 1 review, meaning its probably friends of the people who own it.I posted 3 photos just now of an Allure dress which I paid $250 for after NOT being able to see a sample in my size (Im normally a 16 which they didnt have and Allure somehow decided was a 24). It was made in China and I work with international clothing vendors at my job so can tell you this took MAYBE $25 to manufacture. The stitches are literally falling apart at the seems. Its assembled with under wires so to reassemble or alter it is a nightmare.There is no reason a boutique should be carrying a line this horribly assembled when, unlike a big box bridal store, the point of going tto a boutique should be more personal care.Brides: unless you secretly hate your wedding party, go to a bigger retailer with more options

I wanted to buy my dress locally and unfortunately I was disappointed in the limited selection and the unaccommodating bridal consultant I had.

First, I waited about a week to write this review and talked to other past brides about their experience dress shopping to make sure I knew I had a HORRIBLE and DISRESPECTFUL time at Lastrina Bridal Salon. It all started when I walked in the door and the lady helping me not only said my name wrong 1 time, but 4 times and it was only after the second time my mother corrected her that she finally got it right. Now, I brushed this off as this has happened, but everything that followed made this the starting point of a bad situation. I told the girl who was dressed COMPLETELY INAPPROPRIATELY (in a tube top one piece With sandal high heels. She looked like she was about to head to the beach, all that was missing was the batheing suit underneath!), that I think I wanted a long sleeve dress, she told me they had 5 in stock. Slightly taken off guard I figured I would have been told about my very limited options prior to my appointment, but in all fairness the young lady found some other dresses that I did actually like. So I’m out standing in front of the mirror in my second dress and OUT OF NOWHERE the lady goes “so your prolly a size 4 or a 6 in dresses....I know you prolly think you’re a size 0.” My guests and I were blind sided. Who said anything about size number one, and two what do I care about my dress size if I look good in it. Not to mention every woman knows in dress sizes it depends on brand. After this I walk back into the dressing room with her and she leans into me and goes, “So you’re one of those sample dress kinda girls aren’t you??” OMG! I almost lost it but remained calm. Now your ASSUMING I don’t have enough money to pay for a dress in this shop. The judgement off this women who was trying to help me find a dress I love for my big day was astounding. So I find two dresses that I started really liking but on my last one I said I think I like the other one better so she asked me if I wanted to try that one back on. Knowing this was my first time out shopping for a dress, and that my permanent residence is in another state I knew I had time and an entirely diffferent region to search for a dress so I told her I didn’t see anything today that I would be ready to purchase. Her response FLOORED ME and as follows, “you know your really wasting my time. If you’re not ready to buy a dress you shouldn’t even be looking!!” This was THE LAST DRAW. I’m supposed to hand this shop $1300 for a dress after I was insulted 100% through the entire process. Give that lady commission after she made her back handed comment of me being too poor to afford a new dress. We weren’t even offered a bottled water, nothing! The lady repeatedly told me how she had “12 years experience doing this so I know what I’m talking about,” but apparently in 12 years customer service is something she hasn’t learned. She tells me “most brides try on 7 dresses and that’s it.” Funny I talked to 5 brides who have been married in the past 4 years and only 1 of them found her dress at the first shop in 7 dress options. One woman went to 10 shops! Needless to say a momentous occasion that was supposed to be a special day between a mother and daughter was ruined by the heartless people who work at this shop. Do yourself a favor and save yourself from feeling bad at a time when you are supposed to be uplifted. And a little advice to the employees, not everybody who has money flaunts it in the manner you’d expect, so don’t insult your customers by assuming they don’t have enough to pay for any dress in your shop. FYI, found the dress online for $300 cheaper, with free shipping.PS: I’d post picture of how the young lady was dressed, but out of respect for her privacy I won’t. Maybe this can be a learning experience for her, as it was for me.

Beautiful collection of dresses. Nice salon, professional staff. I called them multiple times when I was stressed about my dress and how it would turn out and they were very helpful in reassuring me! I will say in response to some of the comments left about the tailor -- she can be a little stressful to work with in terms of her communication but does a beautiful job in the end.
