Sorry I have no pictures forgot to take my phone. This diner here in Middletown Delaware is a GEM. My husband and I visited for the first time and the staff we’re very friendly and knowledgeable in reference to how they treat customers. The food and out soft drinks were very tasty. My husband enjoyed his fish and chip meal that also came along with soup or a salad and I enjoyed my open face roast beef sandwich, mashed potatoes along with the greatest vegetable soup I’ve ever tasted. Yes, we will return back to this Diner and we will definitely return. I highly recommend this Little Gem for a quick meal or a nice dinner with very good prices.

We are in the area to do a little bit of shopping and got hungry so we decided to ask a friend what had some good old-fashioned home cooking they recommended this place we were not disappointed the staff was very friendly even in these challenging times food was very good we all left with full bellies.. I would highly recommend this place
Stopped in here while I was out of town on a business trip.Service was 5 stars.The corned beef hash was actually the worst Ive ever had. Anywhere. Ever.Maybe the pancakes are good, Ill never know.
Outstanding service and great food! The place was a ghost town and Ill never understand why. Ill definitely be back. We had French toast, Pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage,scrapple and home fries. Everything was great 👍

My family and I have been here a few times foods been great service was good but the last 2 times an older blonde waitress has made us decide our days of dining here are done. The 1st incident we had a party of 10. She looks at us and said oh Jesus Christ when asked if there was a problem, she said she was having a bad day.. the 2nd time we went in as a large group we were ignored and stood there for a few minutes before we were even acknowledged, then the same blonde waitress finally came over and sat us. Took our order asked us to pass our own plates because she has a bad wrist when she brought out our food..we didnt see her again till she brought us our bill. We tipped well both times bc of the times being hard on everyone. But Id rather give my money to an establishment where our business is wanted. And yes I told the owner the 2ndv time she was rude and he never said a word back to us.
Was really looking forward to trying this place for the first time and I only had so much time to do it, when I looked up when they opened it said 6:30. Which was perfect. But when I got there at 6:40, it was dark. Waited a while then opted for Wawa... Btw you door says you open at 6? Figure it out. I hope yall read this edit after you replied. Now I understand why so many people have you service at one star. If youre gonna run your business the way you do fine thats your choice, but dont talk to me like that when I obviously can only go by what Im experiencing. So yes Im judging your business by your lack of time management and now service.

Service has improved tremendously. The Menu is the same excellent quality of comfort food. Breakfast for Diner is huge for Middletown. Love working here. Although only the Night Shifts are what I get rate now. The people I meet are amazingly awesome and from all around the world

First time ever visiting. The prices were very inexpensive. I went with my husband and daughter. They loved their food. Mine had hair in it therefore I didnt eat it and I didnt want to order anything else. We will not be returning. The waitress advised me that the cooks dont have hair but she did confirm she saw the hair.

Had their chicken parm with the salad bar. Salad bar was small but all the ingredients were super fresh. The chicken parm was surprisingly very tasty. The chicken was tender on the inside and the breading was slightly crisp, enough cheese but not too much. My waitress was very hospitable, friendly, and made sure all my needs were met. I would definitely go back again if in the area for business.

Food was decent, what you would expect at a diner. Portions were smaller than most diners but were appropriate. Service was excellent.
Ate here for the first time on Feb. 1st 2018. Service was very good and our server was pleasant and joked around with us so thats mainly why I gave it 3 stars. Salad bar has maybe 10 items and they are just the normal salad things. Macaroni salad and potato salad were inedible to my wife and I as was most of the stuff at the salad bar. I got a half of a baked chicken which was huge and I ate it later at home, not bad. The dressing that came with it was as dry as dirt and I couldnt eat it. Overall the food was just passable and the place itself was old and rundown. Best part as I said was the service. Still I wont be going back. Sorry!

Been twice, got different foods. Great food. Doesnt look like much, but looks can be misleading. Dont judge. Diner food, yes; but, the flavor, freshness and quality is there! Very much enjoyable.

Great food and staff is awesome
Nice friendly staff, and good soups and good desserts (pies/cakes), but after eating there multiple times, I have yet to find an entree that was better than a 4 or 5 on a scale of 1 to 10. The chicken is rather tough and leathery, and the other meat entrees (beef and pork) tend to be overly salted. Good soups though! And really good pecan pie (when they have it in stock)!
Nice atmosphere, hostess was pleasant most of all my first visit since moving to Middletown 3 yrs ago. I enjoyed my day with my granbaby hanging around town. Thank you Middletown Diner

Tuesday 12:30 PM The new Diner in Middletown was organized chaos & crowded for lunch. Waited 10 minutes to be seated. I ordered cinnamon roll pancakes. They were tasty but the pancakes were chewy. Had coffee that was really good. Service was ok. Got billed for fruit that came with my wife’s meal. Reorder coffee from the manager & our waitress then still waited. Told the waitress I was unsatisfied with pancakes. The manager came by & took them off the bill. I would give the Diner a second chance to redeem themselves. It’s make it or break it time.
The few times that I have eaten here the food is been very good. The Waitresses very nice very fast at taking your orders and your food coming out to you. You have a nice selection of food and it was prepared correctly.

They have a server (Char) who clearly oversteps her bounds with customers. A while back she told us about a “friend” of hers who performed comedy at Tom Foolery’s. My wife and I thought it could be fun and Char would meet us there. We even dropped by the Middletown Diner to remind her. She told us some convoluted story about having to take a coworker to Walmart but she’d meet us that evening. Well, we got there to find it was trivia, not comedy but we stayed to the end regardless. What do you know: NO CHAR. When we saw her back at the diner the next week, she swore she was there, sitting with the master of ceremony and how could we have missed her. I’ll tell you how: SHE LIED! SHE NEVER SHOWED!That brings us to this evening. By luck, we had the other waitress take our order. My wife mentioned to her about our Char experience and what do you know, Char comes flying to our table, pushed my wife over, sat down, the proceeds to read us the riot act about us telling lies about her. All this sitting at our table while we tried to eat. I spoke up and asked her to leave. She freaking ignored me. I got louder this time and she must have thought it better to leave this time.Rest assured. The food is decent but this crazy woman has made it easy for us never again to patronize the Middletown Diner

First visit. It was okay. just a typical diner atmosphere. ordered a scrapple omelette and to my dismay received a mushroom omelette. It was replaced but the staff removed my half eaten toast and put on the plate with the correct omelette but very thin. The staff never bothered to to take our plates away as we finished our coffee. Scrapple undercooked.An order of bacon was asked to be well done and it was not. French Toast was pretty good. Service was very friendly.
