Very polite and great service. My daughters car had a ac issue, had warranty on her car. They contacted warranty company and did all they needed to in order to repair the ac. No hassle at all. I stopped at several shops the previous day without any of them taking the time to even look at my vehicle. They all told me I would have to wait at least a week and none seemed to want to help. I figured I would try a couple more places. I drove by and noticed E & R’s and decided to drop in. Right from the start they were very polite and helpful. They wanted to help and was actually able to get a mechanic to come out and look at my vehicle. He knew exactly what the issue was and said he should be able to take of it pretty quickly. They had me out of the shop and on the road in under 30 minutes. Best think was I wasn’t even charged for the services due to it being pretty minor. E & R will definitely be my first and only stop now and would recommend them highly.

This place was amazing! They got my car in right away, kept me informed on what was wrong with my car, contacted my car extended warranty for me and took care of dealing with them for me. My car was fixed super fast & done correctly and also found something else that was wrong with my car and let me know about it and let me know that it was covered under warranty and ask if it was ok by me to fix it. They called me right away and stayed open a little later so I could pick up my car during their lunch break because I was at wk and couldn’t pick up at another time. Over all, super pleased, staff was courteous and knowledgeable! Definitely recommend!

A minor accident left me stranded. I googled some places and I am so lucky I landed on E&R. They came in minutes and towed my car themselves. Update on this review: it is obvious this place is unprofessional...just look at the replies from the reviews on here from the owner.Went in and asked the guy to see why my truck was making an odd noise. He said it cost $130 just for someone to look at it. Before telling him no thank you, I called my dad and he said it was a rip off and I should try elsewhere. I told the guy no thank you, and he told me “I’m not sure why your dad is upset anywhere else is going to charge you a fee to look at it”....ended up going somewhere else and they charged NOTHING to diagnose the problem....so only come here if you wanna be charged $130 just for them to look at your vehicle!

Brought our 2005 Ford F-150 in running rough, misfiring and check engine light on and flashing when you accelerated. Running great now. Also the transmission would slip occasionally. They checked it out. No metal in the fluids. They changed the transmission fluid and filter and added an additive. He took cake of the problem and didn’t sell me something I didn’t need.

Erby Zarate was amazing to help my husband out with a broken window. My husband works in the oilfield and needed his window fixed so he could come home to east Texas safe from the weather and thanks to Erby Zarate that was able to happen! So thankful for people like this in today’s society!!!!

E & R Automotive did an excellent job at repairing our family SUV.We made it home safe and had not had any problems. Their management team even called a week later, after repair, to see if vehicle was running smoothly.

Our car engine cracked while driving through Texas and E & R Automative came to our rescue. The owner not only replaced our engine but gave us a ride and treated us to lunch when getting ourrental car at airport but when we returned they included a lyft from the airport when we retuned to pick up the car. Now that’s great customer service and kindness and care which was most appreciated during a very stressful situation.

Went in for an alignment and instead of telling me that I need more work to get an alignment done they charge me $115 for an estimate for $2500 for the repairs. I wasn’t even asked if i wanted an estimate besides i can go anywhere for a free estimate.

I decided to take my car (one of several I own of the same model) to E & R Automotive repair shop based on the number of good Yelp reviews. In the end, I believe it to be a big mistake. I had two issues: One- for the automatic clutch between the engine and transmission and two- an inoperative A/C. I replaced my own A/C compressor after the clutch broke and Ive done A/C compressors before, its not that hard. However; this time the car would not cool after installing the new compressor. So I took it in and talked with Erby (owner) about an estimate and what he believed might be the problem. I first asked if he worked on my vehicle type, he said he did. I then asked if he worked on my vehicles type of motor and he said they have worked on them before. He asked to see my old compressor to make sure it didnt contaminate the system with debris from the failure. I had it with me. He looked at it and said it looked clean and I was lucky. We agreed for him to keep the car for an estimate. He spent 24 hours and called me back with an estimate, parts, and time-frame of a couple of days. The quoted prices for the work seemed a little high to me. I was willing to do the A/C only because sometimes things can be hard to get to and it takes time, and the clutch quote was almost the value of the car so I nixed the clutch work.Fast foward a week later and I get a call from Erby stating he repaired the A/C but it was intermittent because the compressor was overheating due to the inefficiency of the electric fans. He stated he could order new fans aftermarket and get them in the following day. I told Erby that I had brand new fans (from an issue on one of my other cars) and I would bring by for his guys to install. When I brought the fans in an hour later, I was shown the current bill. The shop wanted to charge me half more of the A/C bill to replace the electric fans. The quote said it would take 3.5 hours of labor to change these fans. When I paid the repair bill, it was already more than the quote by several hundred dollars. I know shop supplies are marked up and there is a charge for tool use, but to inflate the price of R134A refrigerant by 350% is simply a ripoff. To add parts not discussed and then bill extra is not a good practice. To charge me an additional $25 fee because I used a debit card is really an horrible practice.I already guessed the fan replacement hours were inflated as I have replaced these fans before. Four screws and one plug. It took me less than 45 minutes to do it myself and I have minimal tools. After installing the fans, the A/C still failed to cool - same problem I had when I took my car in.I returned the car the next day for a service tech to accompany me and see why the shop stated it was cooling yet it was not. I was told the schedule was booked for at least two weeks and the owner would call me later that afternoon to discuss my issues. No call back. Other than my receipt, I have no proof anything was done. Bad parts were not shown to me or described as replaced.E & R Automotive will tell you one thing and do something else. E & R Automotive does not have good business practices. E & R Automotive does not have customer satisfaction. E & R Automotive will not call you back as indicated in their own time-frame. E & R Automotive laced my quote with hidden charges and fees that were not discussed prior, nor posted in any form within the business. E & R was not knowledgeable of the problem and threw expensive parts at the issue (at my cost) in hopes something would fix it rather than know how to determine the problem and fix only that. E & R Automotive 30 day parts and labor warranty is not worth the purple paper they print it upon. Bottom line, E & R Automotive is not an ethical business. Dont fall for his response to this.Save your money, time, and resources. Go somewhere else.

These guys were very helpful, I am out of town with none on my tools or equipment. I thought I had a CV axle leak but turns out to be a loose oil cap. They did not try to scam or charge you extra for stuff you didnt want fixed. Very pleasant experience

We had some transmission issues with our Suburban, and after getting no where with several other shops in Midland and Odessa, we were referred to E&R by a family friend.They were able to fix our vehicle and stay with their estimate and even supply a one year warranty on the repair.Great guys, I will definitely use them again!

Great service at an affordable price. I turned in my 2006 F150 for a tune up, and uncovered multiple problems. E&R Automotive stuck by their orginal quote regardless of the additional labor required to get my vehicle back to 100%. Instead of just replacing spark plugs and moving on, they invested their time to treat and adjust all of the little issues. My vehicle is running good as new. I highly recommend this shop and I will continue to use them for all my vehicle needs.

Dont listen to the naysayers. Erby is a stand up guy. I called about my 68 skylark needing the fuel pump replaced. I asked them to tow the vehicle to the shop and replace the fuel pump. Did a fantastic job fixing my friends car who broke down on the weekend while traveling through. They were the only ones open on Saturday and were able to get us in and take care of the problem with out any trouble. The owner met us as we paid for it, took us into the garage and showed us the broken part and got us back on the road quickly. They even did a complimentary fluid check and top off. Oh and dont forget to ask the owner to perform so magic tricks for you... hes really good!

We were driving from Denton to Las Cruces to a wedding when the clutch in our car broke. The first two places we called said that they wouldn’t even be able to look at our car for over a week. E&R not only looked at our car immediately, they also had someone repair it over the weekend. We were able to rent a car, make it to the wedding, and then pick up our car on the way back to Denton on Monday. We don’t know what we would have done if E&R hadn’t moved things around to fit us in. And we felt confident about leaving our car in their hands because, from the state of their shop and the demeanor of everyone who works there, they obviously care a lot about the cars they work on and the customers who bring their vehicles to their shop.They really came through in the ‘clutch’. If we lived in Midland they would become our go-to mechanics.

Well I had a great experience with Erby and the E&R team. I went in and thought i had a bad CV joint but after the team looked at it they determined it was the strut and not a CV joint. Had it fixed in a couple of hours. Even shared military stories with the owner Erby. I would recommend E&R to anyone in need of a car repair. I will call them again in the near future if needed. I hope I dont but when you drive an older car its expected.

I had my Transmission fix here, they did a very good job they had my transmission overhauled & painted in 4 days, havent had a problem since they fixed it, there friendly people, fast service and if u have a large bill that you cant pay right then & there, they can work with you on payments, great vintage shop, great service.

Just moved to midland and needed my oil pan replaced due to damage. Today is friday and after driving to a different shop and learning that it would take two days to replace my oil pan and it wouldnt be ready until Tuesday. I saw a review of E & R online that gave them a good rating and mentioned they were open on Saturday as well. After arriving and speaking to the owner, I got quoted a fair price by the owner going through every part of the estimate. I never felt at any point that I was being taken advantaged of which is refreshing. Besides being quoted a fair price, the shop offered a courtesy ride back to my place and the job was finished within hours. Also found out that the shop offers tow service to the shop for your vehicle...which is great for those of us that may get stranded out there. Im new to the area but I have officially found my auto repair shop.

I first became acquainted with Erby in 2012 when my battery went dead in the evening on a holiday weekend. I was left stranded at work during a snow storm. Erby was the only mechanic to answer the phone. He brought a battery and changed my battery while I worked.He fixed my power steering in 2014 in a professional manner.March 2016 he fixed my fuel pump on a Saturday and returned my vehicle on that same day. I always take my vehicle to E&R and recommend them to everyone I know.

Worst customer service in midland

I would not recommend this shop.

Took my truck in to get a diagnostics done on a Friday about a month ago. They called said they couldnt get to it at first, I told them Id pick it up then they changed their mind and said they could get to it. Go to pick it up they said they need to put together a pricing for everything that needs to be fixed so they charged me $135 for diagnostics and said they will get back to me Monday. Long story short they didnt get back to me, I went back a week later and they let it slip that they didnt perform the diagnostics check after all. Took it as a hundred dollar lesson, my fiance and I both took our vehicles there and will no longer do so. My buddie just got his truck towed this week from them, the guy was trying to convince him to put the truck in his shop instead of dealership. Little did the owner know I already told buddie the situation. They got me for the diagnostics but ultimately they will be the ones losing money.

They fixed my car the same day.they also came to the shop on a Saturday to let me get it.this is the second car they have done right by me.

I call to get my car fix nobody answer the phone i call more then once time.

These people are completely horrible .We took are car there to get the transmission rebuilt last year have had nothing but problems with it since .Was told by the owner himself that he would fix it that was back in September .We paid in full it is now March and we still do not have our car back .Try to reason with him and every time we get nothing but excuses .dosent even have our car at his shop passed it to someone else to fix and now we have no clue where our car is .Despite all our attempts to be civil we are getting no where close to getting our car back .So I guess now we have to hire a lawyer to get our car back .So sad the owner of the company would run his business this way and treat customers with such disrespect .

I was broke down at the rig so I got them to tow my car and fix.they tried a few things to get it started.then informed me my timing chain needed replaced,so we did that.after that I ended up paying them 1700$ thinking it was done.when I go to pick it up,Im told its not running right.now 1700$ later Im in the same place as when I had them tow it.also the didnt have documents of their work,No receipt.I feel like I was screwed.car wont even start
