What a great experience I had with this place!!! After having to spend thousands of dollars on medical and home repairs, my luck my headlight went out in my vehicle. This type of headlight I have is not easily replaced without taking the front end off of the car. I took it in knowing the price was high but it had to be done. After only 2 hours at most I was called and told the vehicle was fixed and ready to go...... just so happens they had a older extra part laying there and behold it was a perfect fit for my vehicle...... they sent me on my way and the charge, nothing!!!!! What a Godsend this was!!!!! Thank you !!!!

My wife was travailing by herself on a 10 hour road trip. Her cars air conditioning stop working in Midland Texas. I was 7 hours away from her location. I contacted West Texas Automotive for some help. Ruben assured me that they would take care of her. It was close too closing time, so we left the car at the shop. I asked Ruben if he could please take wife to a local hotel, and Ruben did. The next day the car was ready and they pick up my wife at the hotel. West Texas Automotive has the best customer service! I took my car in for repairs and they were extremely thorough in getting to the root of the problem. They took their time in doing so, making sure they didn’t miss anything. I was shocked at the professionalism and the time they invested even when they were extremely busy! I brought my car in for a tune up here and from there things went south very quickly. I was without my car for about a month due to an error that occurred due to the mechanic. The owner of West Texas took responsibility for all the repairs that were required due to their mistake, the owner even personally delivered my vehicle to me about 800 miles away in some nasty weather. They really did go above and beyond what most shops would have done in the same situation. I can personally say this shop will take care of you vehicle and do whatever it takes to make their customers happy.

Out car broke down outside HEB, in 100 degree temperatures and during peak time. After calling several garages to get help without success, a friend told us to call West Texas Auto, and gave them a glowing review.Ruben and his crew quickly got our car towed to their facility and within a day had diagnosed the problem and fixed it in a timely manner so that we were not without transport for days. This is despite having a huge workload on their schedule.These guys are awesome. Extremely courteous and very reasonably priced services.I felt that they were honest and have the customers best interests at heart....... a rare commodity these days.I would definitely recommend West Texas Automotive. June of last year, I was in a major bind. A family emergency found me in our back up vehicle and needing to leave town, pronto. The car had been garaged and had to have an oil change and inspection.(Not big ticket service items, Im sure.) I was treated like royalty and was on the road in no time. Yesterday, I picked up the same vehicle after several thousand dollars of much needed repair. I had the same experience; great service, great price and I left feeling good about doing business with quality people.

Went to west Texas automotive about 2 weeks ago with my 2011 Toyota Sequoia and was leaking oil. I thought the engine was cracked but they diagnosed the problem and fixed in 3 days. Very happy with the price, time, and the experience was awesome the staff made me feel at home and were very helpful during the whole experience. Will definitly use them again.

I took my work truck to get the a/c fixed and they were going to charge me $1500 they’ll rip you off if they can I went to Midas and got charged $230 and it has been working great for a month already

Havent even done business with this place yet due to 3 different phone calls. One of my family members called for a quote about my truck, had another person call for a quote and got a totally different price quote, which was still a decent price for what needed to be done. Then I called to get a quote for the same thing and about FELL out of the chair when he quoted me $1,200-$1,500!!! That is double the quote price from the second phone call!! So therefore I will not be doing business with a place that has given me 3 different price quotes!! That just doesnt sit well with me! And Im good on the phone call, Ive had 1 to many conversations with this business! And YES IT WAS YOUR EMPLOYEES THAT GAVE OUT THE QUOTES...... maybe in your next meeting you better emphasize on that rule A LITTLE MORE........ oh and the QUOTE was for a new ignition module for a 2012 Dodge Ram 2500

NEVER USE THIS PLACE!!! I took my vehicle in the first time and they told me it was my brakes. After paying them $700 I drove off the lot and the vehicle was doing the exact same thing it did when I took it to them. I take the vehicle back the very next day and now they are trying to tell me it is my transmission. These people are liars and will try to weasel money out of you any way they can. They are rude when they you try to ask them questions and will never give you a straight answer.

Service is great here and you wont wait months like you will at the dealerships around here. Guys are honest and kept in contact with me about my service needs.

A little bit pricey but service is great. Just had wiring with my brake lights fixed, few other problems with my truck and they went out of their way to to show what the problems were and told me exactly how to fix them. Really do show they care about your happiness with your vehicle

Took my car in because my car was having some issues. They did a diagnostic on my car and came up with $2600 dollars worth of things to fix. I fixed the main issue for $600 and decided to get a second opinion on the other issues. I took it to the dealership because I assumed they would know more about my car. They looked the car over and found some minor issues, when I asked them about the issues West Texas Automotive found they said they could not find anything wrong.

Great diesel repair shop. They also do gasoline but did not use them for this service.

Called this place needing a body bushing replaced on my truck. I had the original parts from Ford with me, just needed the work done. They claimed couldnt do it because they have to provide the part for warranty issues. They dont want your money, unless they can tack on their cut on the parts as well, so bring your vehicle elsewhere.

We took a friends car to West Texas Automotive after she had been having car trouble for almost a month! She had taken her vehicle to multiple auto repair places and they had all diagnosed the car with different issues, the only thing they had in common, was that they were all very expensive repairs. AND... they all said the battery and starter were testing fine!We called WTA and they arranged for us to drop the car off first thing in the morning so they could try to diagnose the vehicle. Of course, once they turned the car on, it was running just fine! Since we had told them about all the other places, the owner of the shop actually drove her car around until he could get it to act up, then drove it immediately back to the shop to hook it up to diagnostic tools while it was acting up, so he could diagnose it properly!!!Final diagnosis: It WAS a battery issue, and the whole thing was repaired for less than a few hundred dollars!! All of the other places had gotten it wrong! So my friend, who is a single mom, would have spent several times that amount on repairs that wouldve still left her randomly stranded around town, had it not been for West Texas Automotive and their creativity in getting it diagnosed the right way the first time!I will always trust them to fix any issues my friends, family or I have from this point forward and you should too!!!

The only place I trust to work on my powerstroke. Fair prices and great service I drive four hours to get to this shop cause they have always done a excellent job taking care of my pride and joy. I am a mechanic as well but do not have time to work on my own stuff. It is real hard for me to find a shop that i trust to work on my powerstroke. I came across west texas automotive and gave them a shot and been going here ever since.

This shop is a Joke! There are no mechanics here, only parts changes. I dropped my Dodge 5.9 Cummins off to have diagnostic work done believing I had an electrical issue. When I dropped the truck off I supplied the shop with a complete list of all 8 codes and the meaning of each code. They included injector voltage codes, Fan speed codes, CKP signal code, and Fuel injection circuit high/low. After several days I got a call saying they had diagnosed the issue and that I needed six new injectors even though I only had 20k miles on my injectors ( about $1800 not including labor). I asked If the mechanic had Ohmed the injectors to insure that was the problem. I was told that they would check and call me back. Three days later I called back to see what was going on. I was told that the mechanic had looked further into things and that it was either my valve cover gasket (some 5.9 engines have the injector lines running through the gasket, Mine doesnt) or the injectors. I again asked if the gasket or injectors had been tested. Of course they hadnt been! I made the decision to pick up my truck and check it out myself. I ohmed the injectors and all the wires clear back to the ECM, everything tested out fine. I then pulled the crank position sensor and found it was damaged. I replaced it for $65 bucks and it fixed EVERY issue in my truck! These guys have zero diagnostic skills! It cost me $153 dollars for absolutely nothing!!! Take your vehicle to a real mechanic and avoid West Texas Auto!!Edit: Mr. Moore, I stand by my statements! Even when prompted to do so your technicians never tested ANY of the parts they wanted to replace! ALL of these issues were a result of the bad crank position sensor, not injectors or the injector wiring. If this is the best your shop has to offer, Ill pass!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! They mis-diagnosed my car and charged me over 700$. I replaced my starter and battery prior to taking it to them. They said my starter was bad. The starter was only bad because they burned it up trying to start it. I told them the car wouldnt start. I went up there after I got off work and found that the engine was damaged. I did use there tools to find this out, but if Im paying you to do a diaognostic, why did I have to find the issue?! Long story short total bill was over 900$ and all they did literally was remove the left header and starter!!
