When you need a few things and some fresh produce and meat. Jacks does a great job. Friendly staff, unique products, fresh, and delicious. Always worth the trip.

I go here often they have pretty good cuts of meat. The side salads are a bit pricier so I am rating them a 4 but aside from that they are quick to help you if you need it.

My boyfriend and I get most of our meat from Jacks. We LOVE the variety of flavors of brats. The deli salads offered are always tasty. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 stars is because we got fully cooked shrimp, but more than half of it hadnt been properly deveined. So I ended up having to devein what should have been perfectly edible shrimp.

A decent place to shop for meats but the stale hot dog buns made everything seem overpriced. Probably worth making the trip to the other side of town to a big box grocer. I wish it werent true.

Jacks is our go to for just about everything. Produce and meat are fresh. Employees are friendly and act like they are happy to be working.

Pretty busy for New Year Celebrations. We go here a lot for better than average meats and will continue to do so. Laura picks up things in Bay City from Jacks when she is working there as well. Service depends in who is working like any place. Some great people, some are still trying.

Prices are similar or better than the big boxes.Staff is friendly and generally knowledgeable.They carry lots of locally produced and unique products and the only place Ive seen with ready-to-deep-fry chicken tenders, mushrooms, fries, mozzarella sticks, etc.Im disappointed I didnt switch earlier.

I give them 3 stars instead of 2 because I am giving them the benefit of the doubt. Meat is great at this place. Prices are really good as well. The problem comes with the folks behind the meat counter. DO NOT expect to ask them for more than a couple items without them being irritated. I would say most seem generally unfriendly and not happy to be at work in the first place. However, I walked in the other day and asked for 5 lbs. of ground chuck in 1 lb. bags. I get an annoyed look, and an attitude from the guy stating that I should have called ahead. That has happened each time I came in to get meat. Ill be honest, I stop in every few weeks and purchase roughly $200-$250 worth of meat. No, I do not call ahead. Yes, I spend more when I am there because as they are preparing my other meat, I see other things I want. And It is not like I pressure them to get the meat ready by a deadline. My thing is, yes I may request many items - but if that person is not helping me, they will be preparing meat for someone else. It should not matter rather they spend 15 mins helping me, or 15 mins helping 4 different people. They are very well staffed and nobody is kept waiting in line. Long story short, for coming in and supporting their business and spending a couple hundred dollars each time, they sure are rude. Again, great quality and prices, but Lalondes Market down the road has at least as good of quality with very friendly staff - albeit higher prices.

Great place, great meat counter with there own brats, meat sticks and marinaded chicken breasts. Produce and frozen stuff is good, they have local items, cheeses, jellys and pies.

Wow! I was surprised at the wide selection of grocery items! They have a nice selection of meats & everyone behind the meat counter is helpful if youre unsure on cuts of meat. Theres a wide selection of liquor and beer too.

The thick cut pork chops for 1.99 a pound look delicious! Cod was 5.49 a pound. Good deals on twice smoked bacon 3.99 a pound. I know I know I sound like an ad lol

I have not been to Jacks in long time. Used to go frequently so much I wouldnt go to the supermarket for produce. But recently I find rotten or have found near rotten produce that I have basically stopped shopping here. However I agree with another review the meat at the meat counter is wonderful.

The meat is superior to the larger grocery stores. Prior to my moving to Midland, I would bring a cooler while visiting relatives out here to bring back their meat... their chicken in particular is a much better grade.Prices are good (buy case size i.e. 10#, and get 10% off) Plus butchers and cashiers are so friendly and helpful - without a doubt a real jewel of a store!

This is a small market that packs a lot of punch. Good high quality produce, meats and seafood. They run some fantastic specials. Fresh hand cut meats. Awesome. Lots of speciality and local made items too.

This place has lot to choose from mostly meats. Take a number for your meat and youll get waited right away. This really helps when your in a hurry . They have lots of things to choose from. Some great buys too.

Normally they have good meats but beware of tough chicken breasts recently in the 10 lb bags with white line issues. Ok if you are making jerky I guess otherwise you need a sharp knife and good teeth.

Best place for fresh meat and veggies. Prices are super great for meat.. about average for produce, and moderately high for other things. The staff cant be beat, and the meat is always flavorful and well cut. They do custom cuts happily and rapidly.

The Most reasonable prices in town for the best deli fare and has the freshest produce available.

I love shopping here. The meat is always fresh and good. There is a good selection of produce and they sell locally grown produce when its in season. Its just the right size, not too big! Check out is always efficient and friendly. If you need a special cut of meat, call ahead and they will try to get it for you.

Unfortunately, it is already packaged, so you cannot bring your own packaging.Spatz (a Saginaw bread favorite) is available there. Good wine and beer selection for the small space, as well.
