Easy to shop online at Northern tool and equipment. Surprised that product I needed was actually in stock and membership program saved me money on shipping.

I wont be buying anymore motorized equipment from this company. I spent $2000 on a pump and hoses and the pumps performance in the field was pitiful. It would barely pump any water even after 3 days of trying. I took it back to exchange it for another one and they said their mechanic would have to inspect it before any returns or exchanges were made. I begrudgingly said ok when can he have it done and they had no idea but maybe sometime next week he could get to it, no promises. So what was I supposed to do in the meantime?!! I have an entire construction crew waiting on me to pump the water out of a pond before they can get to work... the employee helping me really didnt care about my problem, the satisfaction of the customer was definitely not their priority! it felt like they were just there to get a paycheck. And when I bought the pump they convinced me to buy the accidental insurance on it with the promise that if I did all I would have to do is bring it in for an instant exchange no questions asked. When I did bring it in they didnt even ask if I had purchased the insurance. Since its their policy to have a mechanic inspect returned equipment before anything can be done about it, I brought in the two suction hoses I had purchased with the pump to see if their mechanic could look at these and see if maybe they were the problem, the metal clasps on them could be loose or faulty causing the pump to suck air and not perform properly. They said they wouldnt look at them because they didnt have a pond of water behind their store to test them out in! I said, well I do! and took my hoses and walked out..
Employees went out of their way to ensure we found everyywe were looking for. Then went to back of store to find items we couldn’t fine on shelves. Great team effort from all the staff
Best location in Midland and Odessa. Store is twice the size of the other locations with a way bigger selection.

The store manager an the tech tried to tell me there was sand in my gas tank on my generator I brought in there because the generator wasn’t suppling power which if there was sand in the tank it would clog my lines carb ect make the engine not to run which it runs just fine just doesn’t produce electricity to run anything I will never buy a single product from them again they don’t know how to fix things the regional manager told me if they truly checked it out they would drain the all the fluids which none was drained I rather drive to Lubbock where they have a better mechanic an trustworthy employees then midland and Odessa stores

Northern had the exact tool I was looking for plus the maintenance and operation accessories I needed to to take it home and put it to work. Additionally the sales person, Brandi ensured that it worked and the warranty was registered before helping me get everything out to my truck. Best experience Ive ever had with Northern Tool!
BAD LOCATION! I took 2 generators in at the end of January to get looked at. I called 2 times after 2 weeks passed to find out the status and never got a call back. Snow storm comes for a week. I start calling after and get a hold of the shop guy. He blames the snow storm for why he couldnt look at it. He calls me back 3 minutes after he hung up the phone and says he cant fix it. I ask him a few questions and he reverses and says he can fix it. 2 more weeks pass by and no call from anyone. I call to get transferred and get a call from Christina begging me to keep the work with them because I was canceling. I gave them another shot. The quote I got was more expensive than buying the generator new. I started getting threatening text messages saying I better come pick up the generator. I went to go pick it up and found it was stored outdoors the whole time. Since January it has rained, we have a sub zero freeze, wind dust and sand storms. The generators looked in bad shape. To top it off the generators were not put back together and they had parts off, wires exposed and hanging out, where the generators control panel is was hanging off, on another generator where you pull the string to start its not attached and laying on the floor. The cherry on top is when I complained they got angry at me and said that they did everything they could to help me. What are they talking about? They gave me a small discount on the cost of the diagnostic and when Christina stepped in she got work back quick that the cost of the repairs was more than new generators. I guess thats what they consider taking care of you Northern tool is not a bad company and there are even good employees at this location that I met. I asked to talk to the store manger Mike. And he doesnt care at all. Bad attitude. You should resolve this conflict to keep the customer. Thats what NTE hired you for dude. He doesnt ask me one question allows his staff to excuse themselves from there responsibilitys for the bad job they did by treating me like I created a big problem at his store. Dude consumers hire businesss to solve there problems. The better you are at it the more people spend money with you. Isnt that the point. Northern Tool is a good company and this review doesnt go for the people who do there job. I hope you have a better experience than I did here.

Like every Northern Tool I have been to, the staff is very helpful and polite and there are numerous (viable) options for anything you need. Customer Service is 10/10.
Brandi was an excellent sales associate. She gave me hands on instructions on how to operate the chainsaw that I purchased. Was a great shopping experience.

I bought a compressor. And it did not work for me because it did not have enough power for what I wanted and I did not use it for an hour and when I went to return it they told me that the mechanic had to check it. I used it and now the manager told me that the money will not. They could return it in full and that I would discount 25% for that reason I recommend to all those customers who buy there that they look for another store since that is a lack of respect and a scam. Thats why he rated it with a single star. Because it really should be rated -10 ... so I dont recommend that store.
That white cashier is rude, my friend. They told me when they spoke Spanish. That white woman very rude to them.
