No, no, no, just NO. Prices are super jacked up, and night time supervisor arbatrairily closes the doors early at will. Website states open until 2:00am, signs on both doors used to say 2:00am but have been altered with a sharpie to say 12:00am. They shut the doors @ 11:45pm and will not allow you in. You can beg and plead all you want, you will be turned away. I have shopped here for years mainly because they used to be open 24hrs. Now its just a joke. why turn loyal customers away 10-15min before closing? I shop elsewhere now. Thanks but no thanks.

A little pricey. But most of the time I find what I need. I love $5. Fridays. The people are helpful and treat you with respect. Even when you go in looking crazy. Like I do. Thank for being part of our community.

Safeway was and always will be my favorite Grocery store. And I am so totally not influenced when coming to this conclusion, simply that 4 of my friends and/ or family members are currently employed with the above mentioned company.Who doesnt love our iconic Safeway stores anyway? Goes without saying and always positive experiences, greatly accumulated for decades now! Its a Union house! This makes it also a plus for thousands of workers depending to support families!

This location reminds me of the Burlingame location but its bigger. Location was perfect as I am staying in Burlingame & they were open later. They even had the coolest shopping cart escalator that brought the cart down as I took the stairs! Ive got friends where I live that thought I was full of ca-ca. Maybe a little but thats another story. Thx for being there for us late night freaks!!

Solid 2nd story store in a convenient location. Good parking beneath and the usual options in the store itself.The surrounding neighborhood has plenty of other stores and restaurants in nearby walking distance.Safeway has added more capabilities within their stores of late, so most anything food or drug store related can be found here.Take note of coronivirus protocols and changes in response to delta variant.

Store is on the 2nd floor over the parking lot. Store layout is easy to find what you need. Clean floors as well as no exp items on the shelves. Employees where not as friendly as you would want them to be. In there defense it was 6am and im sure night crew was just winding down.

This store is NOT for the disabled who rely on a Mobility Device. Sadly their automatic doors do not even operate properly to allow entry with a wheelchair or knee scooter. The saddest part is employee’s just watch as disabled patrons struggle.When I asked for a manger she was indifferent to my feedback proving that this store leads the community in ableist behavior.There should be a check out lane to accommodate customers on mobility devices, as well as better egress options since the store is on the 2nd floor.Checkout conveyors are not sanitized, and disabled parking spots aren’t monitored for placards or carts obstructing access to parking.💔♿️💔—————————Safeway your response should have never included the word “feelings”. I presented facts in my review not emotions. Repair your automatic doors so the required 36” opening is present. Train your staff to be helpful and empathetic to all customers and their feedback (if needed pretend to be interested). Commit to real accessibility that’s required by laws imposed by our federal, state, and local governments. Allow all customers access and egress to your store. Fix the south elevator entrances and exits so disabled customers exit where we’re forced to park. At the moment when we exit your “dirty” elevators., the down function only opens the south pair of doors forcing all to exit over 100 feet away from the nearest disabled parking spots. I still have not expressed any “feelings.”

Big store with a huge selection of ready to eat, fancy cheese, sushi, rotisserie, seafood. Large organic selection. And an ok gluten free selection. Best of all the staff are so friendly. I asked multiple members of staff for help and they all were kind and helping!

Safeway does its job adequately. I find myself coming here often, since I work across the street, and will never, NEVER set foot in Lucky. At least, not while that evil gnome is the manager.

This is a well-kept store I like to lay out it seems to clean and tidy because my services kind and helpful as much as it can be younger generation seems to be working there so there can be a confusion between generations on etiquette but once you look past that its actually a very up to date Heidi and wildcat store I recommend you go just to go look at the layout if nothing else

Customer service was great. This is the first safeway that i seen build like this. The sandwich lady made me a prefect sandwich which tasted soooo good. She made it with love. Also like always i found amazing deals like 2 for six for the ritz chips and because the raider m&ms were on clearance a nice cashier lady give them to me for half off. Overall i give them a A+. The store was veey clean and so was the restroom. I usually take pictures of the store Im in but i was so busy enjoying my shopping i forgot.

Self Checkout staff is most of the time very rude and always wanting to check your cart, even when she watches you ring all your stuff up. The cart escalator sometimes stops working, which I never use but see people getting stuck all the time

The best local grocery store I could ask for. All the produce is organic(!) - mostly local - better quality and prices than Whole Foods. Also incredible sandwiches, fresh fish & meat. Its our go-to & were so grateful to have it.

Its amazing how you can stand at hot food counter for 5 to 7 minutes and not be recognized, while two workers make sandwiches right in front of you. No hello, no we will be right with you, nothing.

Nice Market. In regard to location, very convenient. Naturally, good place to drop by. Equally important, lots of category to choose. Be that as it may, trustworthy.

This is a good Safeway. Love the employees. The only weird thing is it is elevated above the parking lot, hence escalators and elevators.

Love love love!! Ive never seen a wine selection like this in a Safeway over East or any Market but a girl can get use to this!

Now that they stay open ‘till 2am it has been really convenient- I get off work late and if I want to cook myself a late night dinner I can run over to Safeway instead of waiting for breakfast the next morning or getting fast food.

This Safeway is not very clean, workers are not happy, have attitude. Prices are ridiculously high and sales are very confusing. On Valentines Day they usually raise the flower prices double, but sell old nasty flowers.., they know they didnt have to care because people will buy all anyways.., terrible assumption! 12 roses for 20 dollars.., SMH.., Whole Foods sells 2x12 for 20!

Ive been drinking suja drinks for a while now, I usually get the greens at Costco but I saw that Safeway carries that same brand more variety, but not all Safeway Im glad that I found them here.

This was today and i was leaving and me and my sisters didnt know we couldnt have the water bottles at the bottom of the cart and put it on the escalator and then it stopped working. At this point we were really embarrassed and felt very bad that we were holding it up. They had to call the manager and one of the employees was mad about it even though we didnt know we couldnt put the water bottle there but 3 other workers helped out and were very nice about the situation. Very good customer service and very kind people thank you so much and sorry about the inconvenience. Wish I could give a 10/5.

Can Safeway educate at least one of the staff on how better to interact with the public. So I use the self check out lane, an item doesn’t scan, I place it on top of the shelf, the machine is put on hold for staff attention, so the old white lady says to me, why did you hide it on top of the shelf ? I didn’t hide it, I placed it there, there happened to be in front of it a little magazine stand . What obnoxious subtle racism, making assumptions that I was hiding it .And can Safeway make sure all items scan properly so that there is no lag at the self check out.

Never ever go to Safeway if you’re in a hurry or care about customer service. Almost every timeI have been there is only one check out lane open and a line four customer deep waiting. Yes there is self check out but if you have wine or prefer interacting with a human, you’re out of luck.It’s not the employee’s fault as they are working hard, but management from top down must have decided to cut costs in the area of customer service.if you do need help finding something - good luck as there never is anyone in the isles to assist. Someone stocking shelves (underpaid and overworked) might point you in the right direction, but not like other store where they will stop what they’re doing to help.It’ll pay a few more dollars to shop where they care about the experience....and don’t even get me started in those stupid Safeway cards you have it enter ...uggg only go if no other option.

The best Safeway between Palo Alto and Marin County.Well stocked. Friendly. Good parking. Competitive pricing.And for the stuff Safeway doesnt have, trader Joes is at the end of the same strip mall.

A starbucks in the store yumm and u can use your ebt at this store to buy starbucks very convenient plus staff is frendly thru out the store, i love their professionalism.

I will never go to this grocery store again! I fully equipped myself with a face mask, glove, hat, and glasses to buy some food for my family during this COVID-19 time. I presented my eGift card on my phone for payment but was rejected. The cashier told me it has to be printed out. I have tried several places around this Safeway store but still couldnt find a print service. Unfortunately, we dont have a printer at home either. They have a printer but not willing to help me to print my eGift Card... After 2 hours, I came back to my home for my zoom meeting with nothing... What should I cook for my tomorrows breakfast?

Easy and comfortable to shop

I came in to use the restroom and was told it doesnt open until a manager gets in. I came again at 706am and was told that the manager who opens the store still wasnt in yet. I felt like nobody wanted to help me. I work for Bart and where always on the road and I needed to use the bathroom. I also work part-time at Safeway as well in D10. This is a customer service failure. I felt like the lady who was working self check didnt do enough to help me out. I wonder if I was a older white lady would she of unlocked the door. Safeway hire better people.....

Its a smaller store than it was before remodel years ago and they dont always have everything I need. Ive caught 1 or 2 people randomly being rude/snappy but otherwise theyre nice, helpful people.
