1st time visit today 😊. Very convenient with reasonable prices on all products and hair. They where very helpful and sweet. I would call names but I have two kids and I barley remember their names half the time 😂. Charge it to my mind not my heart. I will from this point on be a loyal customer. Thanks again ❤️

Today is Friday, January 22, 2021 I purchased 6 bags of hair for $9.99 each,from Essence of Beauty in Millbrook Alabama the time that I made my purchased was at 5:38 PM The total came up to $65.04 I proceeded home. My beautician wanted me too send a pic of what I purchased to make sure I had the right hair and I didn’t.... so at this time I call back to the store it was 6:27pm the guy answered and I explain to him I just left the store could I do a exchange not a refund at this particular time he puts me on a hold, he speaks with owner over the phone, (he says I can’t do a refund,)I asked him to explain too her that I just want to make an exchange,( he says she said no exchange either, )okay then I ask if she would give me a call, and she did call me back and I explain too her what I was trying too do keep in mind it’s only been an hour since leaving the store, (she explained too me no exceptions there will not be an exchange of hair due to COVID 19, I have not made any refunds or exchanges since COVID-19) okay, I asked her too put herself in my shoes.. $65.04 may not be a lot of money too some. But we’re I’m from it is!! She says, (just because we are black owned you think you can make a return,) When I heard that I said wait a minute, I had to remind her that ma’am I’m BLACK!! And what does being a black owned business have to do with exchanging hair? I stated to her I pacifically stopped going to the beauty supply stores in Prattville and Montgomery to support your business. I am pro black all the way until the day I die so that statement really rubbed me the wrong way....Just feel like my money have been taken!! Now don’t quote me on this but I haven’t heard of contracting COVID 19 from hair or plastic! Not open not use, COVID-19 is air born...My girlfriend not even a week ago went to beauty an beyond in Montgomery bought 6 bags of hair an only used two, they gave her the exact total of purchase and exchanged the four bags of hair which were brand new in pack never used for other items! She had No problems! And it was 2 days after the original purchase. It had only been a 1 hour since I left the store. Essence of Beauty could’ve honored my exchange...Not being able to even get an exchange says a whole lot about the owner here ...if Beauty and beyond which have been in business for so many years!! can give a store credit/exchange for other items etc.so could have essence of beauty. I am very disappointed I’m stuck with hair I can’t even use, all I wanted too do was exchange those packs of hair for the right hair!! I’m not satisfied as a customer with this outcome!!

False advertisement there was a tub full of hair they said that the say me products were $2 per pack after taking them to the counter the lady said that it would be the regular price so I asked why she said because it was a 2-4 piece and she said there was a sign there so I went back to the tub the sign was under the hair I had to pull it out and the owner was right there and she did not want to order the discount for the deal that they advertised verbally upon entering the store.. I usually shop there a lot even became a reward member not long ago but never again

I’m a newcomer to Millbrook and I love the beauty store. Nice staff, clean store and fully stocked on the items I needed. This will definitely be my 1 stop shop🙂

This beauty supply store has EVERYTHING a natural girl could dream of! All the hair care systems from and leading brand names to less known names with great products- amazing inventory and fair prices! But it’s not just for naturals, everyone has a place here. Bundles, braiding hair, crochet hair, clippers ...you name it! I’m in love! It’s beautifully decorated and the accent wall to die for. The owners are very helpful and the staff is great. So happy to see a black owned beauty supply store.
