I Just received my desktop back. I wasnt wrong bringing my parts to them . They were very supportive, and understood what i wanted with the aesthetics. They also kept me in the loop and updated me on the work that was being done. I had come across this shop a few times on my way to work. These guys really try and give you the best deals and parts . If you need a PC built or planning on putting something together Dont hesitate, you wont regret it!Thanks to Vince and Cliff ! Awesome job πͺπ
I came to them for data retrieval. They refused to use the brand new, unopened flash drives that I brought in with me, and instead upcharged me for one of their in store flash drives. They took forever for retrieval and then lost the power cord to my laptop.
Very professional and personable is how I describe my last experience. Funny story I came in last week because needed a power cord for my computer, I recieved the wrong one and it was clear it didnt go with the type of PC I have...it was funny because It was given to me for free. Still a wonderful little shop with very friendly people
I had my laptop go down during COVID. It is a higher end, but older gaming laptop. I decided to go with Microtech, because they are a local business and close to home. When I dropped off my laptop the staff was straight forward, knowledgeable, and abided by all COVID precautions. The repair was a quick turn around, affordable, and effective. I have had no further issues with my laptop. I would recommend them to anyone with computer needs. It is great to have a local company that can be trusted.
These people are very knowledgeable and possess old time customer service values.
The employees were friendly, the service was great, and the price very reasonable. Iβll bring any future pc needs here hands down.
Nice place to get computers and computers fixed. Good location. We have been going there for years. Reasonable price, friendly
Called for something simple, a screw missing from my laptop, near the hinge. Without any explanation, the lady said it would be $100-$125 to fix this because they would have to open the case.First, its a screw that goes in from the OUTSIDE of the case. No need to open it up. But in her rush to get another $100, she didnt even ask.I have used them before for repairs and was generally satisfied. But anywhere near $100 to put another screw in? Seriously?I will remove its twin and get another at the hardware store, then install myself. How could you dare even suggest such an amount for this work? You have lost my business now and in the future. Plus any referrals I would have made. Places like this do not deserve to stay in business!

Awsome people and very knowledgeable at what they do
Fantastic service. Always friendly and willing to exchange and return parts even if it was your mistake. Fantastic prices on used parts in extremely good condition as well. I always go here first for my tech now.
Not impressed with the money grab. My son and I only wanted a quote and possible install of a new Video card in an existing computer. Why are the staff so removed from understanding English? The gal who took our computer said we had to leave the computer with them only to get customer no service. They wanted to sell something we never asked for or wanted!
The Best Customer Service I have ever had is here at Microtech Computers. Owner and employees treat you like family. Knowledgeable, and helpful with any questions. I was given a call before anything was done to tell me what the problem(s) was and an estimation of what the cost would be. My computer was fixed in a reasonable time. I highly recommend Microtech Computers!Debi Greene
Horrible value. RAM costs almost twice as much as online and at other stores. Price gauging on CPUs and PSUs as well. Slow.
I went in and spoke with Vince about a possible new computer build. He was very patient and answered all my questions. There was no pressure at all. After considering all I learned there I decided to have them build a computer for me. The price was fair. I will update after I pick up my computer. Thanks Vince!
I use them whenever I need to get any of my laptops or desktops fixed, whether or not I bought them there or not. They have always done great work, and even saved my important data once when my hard drive went south on me.I recently used them to order a serious work station and they delivered with a great price, a fast timeline, and really great service. I will continue to come here whenever I need to fix, upgrade, or buy new computers.
Love this place! Super friendly staff and they more than met my expectations. Will definitely be buying my next computer from here when its time.
My computer died on me - and of course at like the worst possible time. I randomly stopped at Microtech to see if they might be able to help me and they did quickly, nicely, and affordably. I was going to have to wait almost a week to *start* to get help via Apple, but Microtech fixed what I needed in just a little over 24 hours! I only had to go Apple to buy a new charger. Also, instead of telling me to buy a brand new battery, I was encouraged to go for the cheap one theyd refurbished that they happen to have in stock. They saved me quite a bit of money with that. So appreciated! Im back in business and much relieved! I will definitely call on them again should I need.
I want to thank everyone that works at Microtech. My computer wouldnt boot up so i took in to be looked at. I was worried I was going to loose all my saved files and pictures. I was so happy when they said they were able to save my files and pictures. I will be doing all my business from now on with them. Thank you again Mircotech! keep up the good work!
These folks know their stuff. No pressure, great values. Highly recommend. Forget the big box stores.
Bought a refurbished Lenovo laptop here, it worked very well, and they even fixed a Windows problem that was not really their problem, within the 45 day guarantee window. The owners have excellent advice on brands and reliability since they are also a repair shop. I will be back!
We love Microtech, there our go to place for all our computer repairs and needs. Customer service is excellent!
DO NOT GO HERE!!! I agree with everyone else. The technician Vince and manager Debbie were extremely misleading and quite inept in their ability to perform simple customer service. Not to mention fix a computer.I was told at the beginning when I brought in my computer I would get a free estimate so I brought it in. It had a cracked screen and he told me he would call me with with the estimate. He called me a few days later and tried to sell me a computer they had in their shop. I politely declined and asked just to get mine fixed. He then went on to tell me it could take 14 weeks to get another screen. I said ok I wasnt really in a hurry. It seemed like they really just didnt want to fix it.I got a call 4 weeks later saying they had been sent the wrong screen and they would not be able to get the one I need. I was told it would be impossible to get it fixed and I would be better off letting them dispose of it.When I went to get my computer back I was charged a $45 fee for absolutely nothing! Then they tried to give me a guilt trip saying they ate the shipping cost on the wrong screen they ordered. When I tried to resolve my problem with the manager Debbie she was absolutely useless and quite rude. When I told her she was ripping me off and I should give her a bad review she raised the price to $127 until I promised her I wouldnt and had to beg for my computer back. Which made her feel better i guess she brought it back down to $45I called around for 20 mins and found a shop that had the screen I need and it is currently being fixed!! After being told it was impossible and I should just let them dispose of it. If you ask me these people are criminals and do not deserve to stay in business. Everyone should file a report with the BBB.
Great customer service! Been doing business with them for many years and will continue to do so. After reading a shocking review, then talking to the staff at Microtech and getting the true scoop on film of this Joey person tossing his used part he purchased on the counter saying it didnt work! after the staff said they would be more then happy to test it, if its bad replace it or give him a credit he refused it and left. They offered me his $14.00 credit off my purchase! Oh and this Joey person works on the same block as Microtech and also waited a week to return it.
Likes likes every shop but Debbie and Vince and cliff truely are good people.Ive known the owners since I was in high school thier honest and friendly thiers always a complainer in the fold not every one
The company I work for has been using Microtech for years. They always know how to fix the problem! They are friendly, responsive and always go the distance. Great local family business. Never had any issues.
GREAT SHOP, THEY BUILD THE COMPUTERS FOR OUR BUSINESS. SUPER REASONABLE PRICING, ALWAYS WILLING TO HELP. A+++
Great local business. Good hours of operation. Good inventory.
My computer wasnt turning on. when i called to check how things were going after not hearing from microtech for many days, a lady said theyd looked at it and i owed them $$$, but they hadnt found the problem. said i needed to pay an additional fee for them to even open the computer, fixing it not included.so with the computer not turning on, and they hadnt opened it up for the additional fee, how on earth could they have looked at my computer to see what was wrong? its a brick! apparently telepathic wizards work here, in which case they must be under-charging. i asked the lady on the phone *how* they looked at it, and she was the vaguest terrible liar. completely brushed my pretty dang valid and simple question off. i was almost flabbergasted. microtech should be a strip club, cuz it was SHAMELESS. please do not give your money here. they took me for a complete ride, wasted my time and money, while putting my computer in a room and not touching it. and other reviewers across yelp and google too! heed us!
They are very kind and have great service I bought a laptop from them and it was a much better deal then what I found online!
The woman in the Microtech store is not a technician. She is a nice lady who answers the phone and tries to help customers with their non-technical needs to the best of her ability, to avoid having to frequently interrupt the technician working in the back. The technician got called out when I needed to talk technical about motherboards.A USB WiFi adapter, regardless of brand, or type of operation (the N designation), often has no outside antenna and the compact nature of those devices means they have a micro-sized antenna to transcieve signals from, and to, a router. This can limit their effectiveness at longer distances from the router.A raid array is usually, for home use, either a striped or mirrored array. A striped array is one that is intended to write a stripe of information to first one hard drive, then write to the other, then return to the first one, so that when the information is read back, the information being retrieved comes from one drive while the next stripe is being located on the other. This allows a more continuous retrieval of information. It takes time on a mechanical drive to seek information, so the alternating drives each give the other drive time to find the information while they give the user information by turns. In a mirrored array, the same information is stored on both drives so that if one drive fails, the other one will still have your data. It is primarily for assuring you wont lose critical data if one drive fails.I am not a Shill, or an employee, I am a computer hobbyist who learns by reading. i went in the store to enjoy talking with a fellow geek and their tech gave me about what seemed to me only five minutes but was probably closer to thirty, answering questions and sharing experiences with logic devices. Based on his level of knowledge and his friendly helpful attitude, I would trust my computer to his capable hands, if I didnt totally enjoy working on my own. I hope that reading this may put your mind more at ease about these good people who really are trying to do their best to fill your needs.I will likely be going back for parts for my next build, when I have an income again.
Excellent, exceptional customer service, excellent prices. Go-to for any I.T. issues..
Very disappointing. I was assured that my computer would be fixed. I was charged $127 for them looking at it and it was not fixed. I was given a bs excuse that it my voltage issues were due to brownouts causing voltage drop in my house. This would not explain high and low voltage in my pc. I was also told by them that windows 10 cant defrag raid 0 which I am now having to research for my own. When i called to drop it off I was told they would be able to fix it knowing i wanted to defrag windows 10 with an ssd on raid 0. Point is that the person I first talked to shouldnt guarantee something then I get charged for them failing to keep their word.
DO NOT SHOP HERE. I bought a USB WiFi Adapter for my home computer last Monday. I live about 35 miles from the store but was in the area. WHAT A MISTAKE! I was assured that the N Adapter would connect as well as any other brand and not to worry. After living through 2 nights of intermittent low bandwidth connectivity I went to Best Buy and bought a Netgear Adapter which gave me 10x the performance and a constant connection. Upon trying to return the Adapter today I was told I could have store credit only because lots of people use their adapters and then replace them from somewhere else and want to then get their money back. Huh Wonder why. I told them to keep the money since I would NEVER EVER SHOP HERE AGAIN! To sum it up: 1/ Miss-information at purchase 2/ Shoddy electronics 3/ Terrible customer service. Do yourself a favor and pass this place by.
I went in to have a computer built. I was able to take the quote sheet to my daughters boyfriend who has owned his own shop and does contract work. He was actually impressed with the price and what the system would have. And it was fine...until I got it home. One of my things that was vital was the two 1 TB hard drives that were supposed to be connected via a RAID array (dont ask me, I have no idea). It started failing the first week I brought it home. They said they would repair it for free this time. When it went critical again a few months later, they had my computer for a week...and charged me around $80! That lasted THREE DAYS!!!!I had my daughters boyfriend take a look. He said, and I quote, that RAID is a joke...whoever did it has no clue what they are doing. He fixed it.Now, here are a few other issues, when I took it in, the lady running the shop basically talked to me like I was an idiot. She blamed everything from pop ups to my potentially going into the case myself to alter their work. (umm...no, and the accusation was seriously offensive). When I called and told them that it went down again, the response I got was that they would have to completely uninstall everything that I have on my drive because it is obviously something that I have done. Other than three games (Civ IV, Starcraft II, and Total War) i dont have anything installed on my system that they did not put there. Once again, they were blaming me.I try to support local business, but I will NEVER go there again. They have ZERO customer service skills and charge the customer when their work is defective.
Went to get clear wireless, employee lied about return policy. manager didnt care. Ended up losing $97 and none of them cared or fixed it. Should have followed up with BBB.
