Those that have frequented Harbor Freight know that you can get some really good deals, or some complete junk. They are carrying higher caliber power tools now, but those arent always the best price vs. competitors. It pays to check reviews and compare prices, though in some cases the prices are low enough that you dont mind that it may be an inferior product. Just have to be judicious about what you buy there. My increasing frustration with Harbor Freight and the reason for 2 stars is that they are often out of stock on most wanted items. Today I drove to two locations for a garden hose and batteries... both items out of stock at both locations (and not the first time this has happened). I probably spent as much in gas as I would have saved, so Im finding myself going to competitors more often so as to not waste time.

I was being checked out this morning by a young clerk, Joshua, at the store. An older customer came up and asked him a question, but was not wearing a mask. The clerk asked the customer to put his mask on, but the customer refused. The clerk offered a mask to the customer, but he refused. The clerk told the man that masks are required and the customer left. I thanked the young man for doing that, it was very much appreciated. I know it takes a lot of courage to confront a customer like that.

Charitae is the most helpful associate Ive ever had the pleasure of meeting. Not only was she able to rectify my mistake in trying to purchase the wrong floor jack but also went to the backroom and carried it out to me on her shoulder like some kinda blue eyed goddess.... A business open to the public is not to discriminate for religious, for political, for health, for disability. The female employees here will get right up in personal space (less than 6 feet). Demanding that you either put on a rediculous mask or get out. They do not care if you have a logical or legal reason not to ware one.

Helpful staff, clean store, easy to find items.Had one minor issue. Online store said this location had a product in stock and when I arrived they did not. Good chance it sold out before I got there. Not blaming the store either since online inventory can be off.

Decent prices. They can be better as long as you’re good at hunting coupons. The service here is usually friendly enough but the young guy behind the counter didn’t know what an impact socket was. I have to remember not every young kid grows up with a shop and an air compressor...

Cheap tools with great warranty

Harbor freight is THE PLACE to go for budget-friendly tools, etc. However, is not top-of-the-line stuff and I lean toward buying only infrequently-used tools (think: Sanders, teen first-hardware purchases and the like). Excellent return policy.

Well stocked with inexpensive tools and related supplies. Mostly good experiences with items. Rarely a defect, but more likely a lack of performance. My bad ones have been, leaking compressor, jamming brad nailer and grinder electric cord that split open. One other gripe is the web site lists items not in stock or discontinued and is not store specific with stock.

They worked hard to find me a tool at another of their locations, thank you.

This hardware store is notorious for selling sub standard quality tools however they are also cheap $ wise so it makes sense and the employees are nice even though at times it feels forced which always seems to indicate that they are unhappy either with pay or working conditions or both i dont know which but id guess they are probably paid a low wage... I bought a machete and a flashlight both of which im happy with...

In the past this has been a good store but no longer. I went to make a fairly large purchase of their top air compressor and some air wrenches.The air tool section was a complete disaster. Unable to find a pick card for the wrench I wanted, I settled on something else. When I got to the counter I was told that the compressor was not in stock and that nobody had it.I bought a similar compressor and tools at Home Depot for less money.I’ve noticed that Harbor Freight’s prices are creeping up and are much less competitive than they used to be.

It was fine. I needed a sander replacement. Looked on Amazon and Harbor Freight was by far the best pricing. Some of their items are hard to beat.

So putting aside the harbor freight toolline quality vs snap-on, Mac, Dewalt, [input your personal brand here] etc.always friendly and willing to help staff every time. I come here knowing that the tools are inexpensive, and when something breaks they have the best hands down in store return and exchange policy Ive ever dealt with. Beyond the already lower price than most of not all roll stores they offer hundreds of coupons every month. There are items i will come here first for; home and car electrical wiring connectors and shrink wrap, Work gloves, and patio r brushes to nane a few. Power tools, in hand my own preferences though ive used harbors and for everyday household tasks, for everyday people, i wouldnt think they wouldnt do the job. I appreciate the donations of their nitrile gloves to help in the corona19 process although now I am having a difficult time getting gloves for myself at a reasonable price. And they have kept the cost of facemasks down to$2/pack of 10 masks. The ONLY place that has kept their price down on them. So to summarize this review; every day household diy tools?- all day every day. Top quality?no.for the low price they are, itll prob get the job done without breaking the bank But you do get what you pay for.

If your looking for tools to build several houses, your not going to find that quality here. No offence ment, but your not. If your a home owner, lookin to fix your house, this is the place to go. Wide selection of tools and to like, they are inexpensive enough that if your helper, IE you son, breaks the tool, your not going to kill him. That being said, make sure your giving him an allowance so he can help buy the next one. Great people everytime.

As long as you go in not expecting a Craftsmen or Snap On, you wont leave unhappy. I actually like these folks alot as when it comes to those moments we need that quick tool or whatever to get by for a bit. If you need a cheap specialty tool for one time use, this is the place to go. They have a good selection available, and always have coupons available. The staff is very helpful.Their socket sets and wrenches have a lifetime warranty, though I have never had to use it. A Starbucks was added in the parking lot, and parking is now much tighter.

Nothing really negative to report. Their tools have really impressively improved over the years, especially recently, and expanded, and if I need something quick, they do the job.
