My girlfriend and I frequent this place often! Its close to home and the coffee and teas are wonderful. The two ladies are always friendly and welcoming. The only reason I dont give 5 stars is that when you are trying to study or work its EXTREMELY loud. Lots of loud chatting and laughing which isnt a bad thing. I just wouldnt recommend this place if you are looking for a quiet nook to get some stuff done as its very distracting. HOWEVER, if you are looking for good drinks and tasty eats... This is the place to go in NE MPLS.
Everything is made at the store. The soups are always marvelous and piping hot. Sandwiches and wraps are tasty. Their cookies are some of the best in town. It’s our go to place for both coffee and quiche in the morning and soups and sandwiches at lunch.
The green smoothie is what (my smoothie) dreams are made of. Next level good. Will return!
We tried the bagel sandwiche and it was below average. It was a plain bagel, which was chewy than regular. Nothing special, cold coffee was just another cold coffee.
Great little local coffee house. The quinoa salad and the cubano sandwich are great, and blackberry balsamic dressing is to die for
Particularly good coffee drinks. And friendly, genuine people :)
Great customer service and online ordering makes pick up in the morning a breeze! I love their almond poppy seed muffin.
Very friendly workers and great breakfast sandwiches!! Also very affordable :)
Great atmosphere, friendly workers. Also the best coffee Ive had since returning from Milan! Highly recommended.
Good coffee, great in-house baked goods, and super friendly staff. I come here at least a few times per week.
Made toast for me, even though it wasnt on the menu. Thank you!
Best coffee house in Minneapolis!!
Delightful, friendly service. Good, quick breakfast and lunch options!
Great Mexican mocha! Ordering online and pickup is fast and easy.
The best hidden coffee shop in Northeast Minneapolis. Tucked away down a quiet street inhabited by artist studios and old historic buildings.Plenty of options for breakfast and lunch. Bagel sandwiches are the thing to get here. Coffe is great and the staff are friendly. The seating is comfortable and clean. Nice place to hang out. Quiet enough to get some work done
Ham, egg, & cheese on an everything bagel was delicious!!
Friendly and fast 🤠
Incredible staff with a great selection of coffee and tea. This location stands out by focusing on high quality drinks and a no-frills sitting area, emphasizing guest individual space. Only improvement: better advertisment for location in the local area.
Great place to sit and study. This place has been amazing for studying for the bar exam. Its quiet and the music isnt overpowering. The sandwiches/wraps are good and cheap. The pastries are amazing! Decent drinks. Highly recommend the lemon blueberry muffin or the snicker doodle cookies.
Cute lil shop but lacks ambience which is very important to me when it comes to coffee shops as they are a mini retreat for me My drink was good tho & I liked that they had a small area of comfortable chairs to sit in . my visit was brief for a small meet up with my sister. Not sure I would go back but it was in a convenient location.
Love it here! Always great food (soup is amazing!), and Chai. Staff is always so wonderful and very helpful. Space is great for small meetings. Highly recommend.
Great coffee, lots of space if you want to sit or do work. Great, bright atmosphere and there is free parking! Had to update to include awesome food, pastries and options for lots of dietary needs.
I want to like this place, but the coffee tastes burnt more often than not, and the pastries are poor at best. Heres hoping they can improve the overall quality. Id prefer to spend my money here as opposed to a chain. :/
Great little tucked away spot in NE for very good coffee. I stopped in here for a Belly Bite because it was free and Ive been back a few times when Im in the area. Their sandwiches are really good as well!
Dedicated to the neighborhood since 2007. Quality bakery goods, fresh soups and salads. Open early. Nice casual place to meet for business or pleasure.Very nice.
Wifi 14 down 3 up. Above average for cafe!Nice interior design. Average offerings except sandwiches look pretty good for $5 bucks. Make baked goods in house except for gluten free offerings.
Staff member I interacted with was very friendly and did a great job. Unfortunately, that was the only good thing about my visit. The latte I ordered tasted burnt and bitter and the soup i tried was thin and watery and not really worth eating. That combined with the tucked away location and lack of parking would keep me from returning. This place seems to exist solely to service the nearby businesses since there is a lack of coffee shop chain presence nearby.
Very nice coffee shop hidden in an old brewery campus. Worth seeking out. Nice baristas.Coffee is great, lots of interesting snacks and juices available.Hormel provides a lot of their food stuffs.
Great coffee, tasty desserts and salads, awesome ownership and staff. The savory selections could be improved if more ingredients (bread and chicken, for example) were prepared in-house. Given how close I work to Sip, and how no other cafés are within walking distance, Im thankful they are in the neighborhood.
Its always delicious.
Great coffee and fast wifi. Its not the coziest coffee shop but it has great coffee and food. Will definitely go back!
Fantastic place. Great coffee, wonderful service
Great food, fair prices, friendly staff!
I love sip, but I do wish the interior was cleaner often and better designed for sitting and getting work done while sipping on their great coffee
Good coffee, lots of deli case food to go, open early.
Always excellent service! They make my coffee better here than at Starbucks, Spyhouse and Caribou combined. Support local businesses and give this place a try.
Great staff, coffee, and ready eat food. Egg salad is best on planet Earth!
Food and tea was good, but the service was poor. The barista was really unkind and made me feel very unwelcome. Maybe she was in a bad mood, or didnt like that I ordered tea instead of coffee, but I still dont get why she was so mean...
I love the location of this coffee bar. Coffee was perfect and staff was friendly.
Always a joyful place. Good atmosphere. Excellent chai also.
We used Sip for catering a large breakfast last week, and they did a phenomenal job! Wonderful food, excellent prices and customer service. Thanks!
Good chai from here. Food seems juuuuuust a bit over priced given the quality imo, but I usually come here for the drinks. Good seating, but not a big place.
Nice neighborhood coffee shop. Excellent coffee and edibles.
Great coffee. Could use some updating.
Interesting ambience. Was very noisy because of children running around. The drinks were subpar but the pastries were great.
Great little play area for the kids and good coffee.
Good place to grab a quick bite and a hot/cold drink.
Nothing fancy just a typical coffee house, but looked like they have some good deli sandwiches and baked goods.
Love this coffee place plus its in a cool location right by the river. Good for grabbing coffee and walking along the river
Coffee was only average. The space didnt really look clean or modern... more like someones living room. Couches were unusually low.
Friendly staff. Good atmosphere. Locally owned and operated.
Good coffee. Uncomfortable seating and tables combined with minimalist industrial decor make the ambiance less than inviting for sitting and working.
Quiet coffee spot with ALOT of other businesses! even a great chiropractor across the hall.
Simple, modern styled cafe with many options for drinks, including multiple tea based drinks.
Nice coffee shop with very good service and great sitting areas
Fantastic almond joy blended coffee drink and the best banana chocolate muffin Ive ever had.
5 out of 5 Americanos. A hidden gem in NE Mpls. Good food, drink. Friendly staff. Not to pretentious like most coffee shops in nordeast.
Tasty coffee, friendly barista, and buckets of toys and books for the kiddos. Great mama meetup spot!
Wifi is great, coffee is great. I ran a speed test and got at least 20 Mbps down which is great for a coffee shop (there were only a few others there at the time). The coffee prices are very cheap. I just got a light roast, whatever they had, and it was 1.70 ish I think. I also saw that if you buy a travel mug from there you can fill up your mug for the price of a small which is excellent! The only problem I had with the place was the lack of outlets and the tables were pretty small. Still was able to use my computer but not spread out like i usually have it.I would definitely go there again. It is great for groups since you can easily move the tables together. I also hear there breakfast burritos are the best. Maybe Ill try it next time and add to the review!
I didnt expect too much from Sip, but everything was AMAZING! I had an Almond Joy mocha that I didnt expect would be much more than coffee with a spritz of chocolate and coconut, but it really was like a liquified, caffeinated Almond Joy. The breakfast burrito was the best Ive had in a long time and the bread pudding muffin was even better than I imagined. Had to get another for the road. Its a really tiny, hole-in-the-wall place thats hard to find, but its very much worth it. Cant recommend it any higher. Oh, and spend like five minutes on your site, sprucing it up. Its kind of... empty. Mission statement, menu, a few pictures... thats all you need, really.
Breakfast burritos and smoothies are amazing
One of the best coffee shops in Minneapolis. Great catering too!
My favorite place to get coffee awesome service and great food and the coffee is really good
Great food and service! Check out their daily menu specials on their facebook page!
Great glutin free options. Friendly staff.
Friendly staff and attractive location
Coffee is good . Food is ok little over priced. Wish they would make this spot more lively.
Nice little coffee shop with a good atmosphere.
Pros: low prices, good wi-fi, peaceful location in a historic building by the river, good taste in music (no Bright Eyes, Strokes or dubstep), N/W windows provide plenty of light without glaring on laptop screens, warm seating far away from the door, free books, friendly service, plenty of soup and sandwiches, and theyre right next to the library.Cons: sterile, bright lighting, tables are too small, needs more AC outlets, online hours incorrect - they close at 6pm in the Winter.Overall: a good, non-corporate coffee shop. Ill come back.
Love the location, ambiance is great.
Great coffee, great atmosphere, fair trade, and decently priced.
Great meeting place!
A quiet neighborhood favorite.
I love this place.
Great coffee, very cute place!
Love the baked goods.
Good stuff A!
Ya gotta get breakfast bagel sandwich
Wonderful.
Killer sandwiches and coffee
