Mixed emotions about this store. Ive bought lots of audio equipment from these guys and had good luck and great service.. However, I bought a new TV from them a few years back and I love the TV, but the sales staff said I was going to be very disappointed with the sound out of this TV. So they sold me a home theater system with it too. The TV puts out great sound without the system, the system was unnecessary. I called up there a few weeks ago and asked what they had or could get for front load washing machines and was told they didnt have anything in stock and couldnt give me a price or time frame on what they could get in. So I got one from Lowes. So again, very mixed emotions about this store.
I wasnt overly impressed. Its a very standard store really. The feeling I get is that it is going the way of radio shack very soon. Im just being honest. Unless they change the feel of the place...
Great customer service, busy store.Prices are reasonable but not low...However, the online order pickup and return policy make this a convenient tech store.
The women that work there get a 5 star! On 7/25 a fairly new lady jumped right up and helped us with our purchase. Today like several times that we have been there I literally have to say a rude comment like, are you done yet,, to get 3 or more guys huddled together attention, then its like of sorry we were working on something.
Very helpful employees that know the products or will post you to to who or where to learn more about a product or service.
They did not have what I was looking for. I wanted a USB-C that stayed in my phone and connected to the cord via a magnetic connection to the USB 2 cord for charging or physical downloads. I understand it is a pretty specialized item
I think they need to upgrade the sale part, I wanted to purchase a JBL and it said it was at a price much lower than originally, but when I talked about it, they told me it was only at the lower price when it was at stock. A laptop I was going to purchase was out of stock, I understand that, but can you guys put a sign that those things are not longer available? It really dissapointed me.
Customer service at this location is truly outstanding. We are always greeted and assisted by friendly staff. They are eager to help and go above and beyond.
Placed an order for curbside pick-up. Received an email with a link to click when I arrived at the store and was parked. Got to the store, clicked the link, indicated my parking spot number and car type, then waited... and waited... and waited. Twenty minutes went by. I called the store and got an automated answer that says “this store is not taking phone calls at this time” then I was connected to the corporate call center. After going through seven menus and selections on the phone, I finally got a human. He confirmed that the store is not taking calls at this time, but he would be able to transfer me to the local store using a different phone line. He transferred me, I got the automated answer AGAIN and started the process all over. When I finally reached another human, he also confirmed that the local store is not taking calls at this time. **Obviously** He suggested I go into the store and grab my items. I suggested they abandon their curbside pick-up as an option since it CLEARLY is not functional.What kind of business just doesn’t take any phone calls?! Why have curbside pick-up if customers check-in, indicate they are ready for the item, and then no one comes out?! And the customer can’t even call.I try to shop local and support the employees and business owners in my community, but all future Best Buy orders will be done online. This was a hot mess.
I was looking for a new television. The salesperson was very helpful, found the answers to my questions and offered useful suggestions. I ended up purchasing one from them.
Once I finally got service in the almost empty store, it was a good visit.
Even though there were two workers not ten feet away from us that looked at us multiple times we had to ask for assistance and then he said that there was a worker for that area and didnt know where he was but hed help us. Shouldnt he have came to assist us seeing the worker for the area wasnt present??
Went in to look at laptops and cell phones. I was ignored, even though the sales staff greeted and offered assistance to other customers that came in after me. The staff in the cell phone department were too busy looking at their own phones to assist me. Left without making a purchase

Ok, took about 25mins to get somewhere with one of there products, and when I did they didnt have any in stock, or the next pick, and the last resort pick even out stock. Wasted time of mine. But I still like Best Buy overall. Wish my experience was better, Maybe next time. Thanks

The staff was not very friendly and every printer that was on display was out of stock. The store is getting smaller and smaller. Really disappointing.
Stopped in for a phone. The giy that helped me basically blew me off and got attitude when i told him i was just looming for a cheap phone to replace my broken one until my new one came in. I found one and he even gave me the wrong phone all together. Would not recommend best buy.
I brought a computer and forgot to return it. The price dropped 150 dollars several weeks after the final day to return it. Very disappointed they do not price match that.
I will not ever try to shop here again. The last 3 times I have come in here I’m treated like I’m a burden to the employees when I ask for help. They are very rude and not helpful at all. I’ve experienced it on 3 separate occasions during different times and over the course of about 6 months. I was willing to drop a few hundred dollars each time but decided against it. Good luck to anyone else that decides to shop here.
Minot ND store. I walked in at opening and there were 3 groups of 3 employees talking and visiting. I walked around the entire store looking for an item. Not 1 person asked me if I needed help finding something. I was the only customer at that time. I should have been bombard by employees wanting to help.Very dissatisfied and will never enter that store again. I guess its the customers obligation to get some assistance at this store.Management needs to get busy here.
If I could give half a star I would. Standing there ready to drop some cash on a couple apple watches and was left standing g there for like 15 mins. Had 3 or 4 workers walk right buy me. Don’t recommend this place at all.

Kind of depressing. That staff is very helpful, but the in stock selection is very slim. I think the lock downs and move to internet sales is hurting this once thriving franchise.

Difficult to arrange curbside pickup, but luckily another customer was picking up and the Best Buy employee stopped to check on me. He brought item out within a minute. Great employees.
Geek Squad was fantastic to deal with. No fuss, they replaced my router without issue.
Have always loved going to this store. Plenty of selection and helpful employees. The last year though this store has gone downhill. Empty shelves with limited selection. If they have something you want it is out of stock. The last few times I have been there, employee personal conversations with each other are more important than assisting customers.
This store always has limited product selection, is frequently out of stock of most popular items, and a limited number of sales associates with a working knowledge of Best Buy’s inventory. The Best Buy app is the way to go.
Excellent email interaction with store manager, Tanner. He answered all my questions I had on a return, and upon arriving at the store today to do the return, it was very quick and easy.Great service all the way around, from the door greeter, to the gentleman who carried in the heavy box for me, to the nice lady who completed the return and again Tanner, who answered my emails promptly.

Helpful and nice staff, but the headphone section is a mess and about half of the hands on test models are inoperable. Additionally, the section is spread out seemingly at random throughout the store. The Sony earbud display is mixed in with Bose which are literally on the backside of that display, then there is a Bose Sleepbuds display over by the cellphones? The other headphone brands are off on some end cap by the printers? I dont believe the associates are over worked, its just a lack of ownership from the employees but mainly their management. The store leadership (lack there of) take the blame on this one.
Love the store but their inventory is horrible. But its understandable all the stuff going on in 2020.

Customer service was over the top and the staff were very knowledgeable about items in their respective departments. Its a shame that they do not get commission because its easy to see the pride that they take in their work. I purchased several items from several different departments and received help with no pressure to buy the whole way. Between the cleanliness of the store to the quality staff, reasonably priced products, and stellar rewards points there is no reason to not stop in the store and see what they got for you!
Except for the facemask requirement a good deal. They were out of stock with what I wanted last week, but they had it today. I just do the curbside pickup.
Every time I go into a Bestbuy its because I need something that day. I have never gone in to this store and left with anything. I dont know why I keep trying. They seem to offer the tired old We can order it for you. excuses, missing the point entirely of why I came in to the physical store. I can order it too, for cheaper, thanks.
Probably the smallest Best Buy if ever seen in my life besides those little like small mall kiosk ones, it was like so cute you just have to walk around that even if youre not going to be here for long

Ive been to Best Buy frequently since I moved to Minot, and Ive always had a wonderful experience. The employees have been helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. They will come to you and see if you need help. Josh in the auto department installed my new car speakers. They sound fantastic and Ive had 0 issues in the 8 months since installation. The facility is clean and organized.
Yep. Its bust buy. Need a new TV? They have new TVs. Need a new headset? Got those too!. Basically its a best buy. The customer service is great, had my computer fixed by them, quick and easy. The staff is more than willing to help you find what you need without making it awkward by asking if you need help 30 times in ten minutes. I will definately be doing all my best buy shopping here. Also.Best buy.

Had a Walmart cordless mouse adapter plug stuck in my laptop, it broke off from the connecting part. TECH GUYS got it out in 10 min

Nice selection, friendly workers. But was just sold something that does not work with my larger purchase. 2 time this has happened there, (these items were recommended to me by them, I followed their advice) and living out if town makes this a huge hassle for me to drive back to get refund. My advice, double check to make sure its the correct compatible items. Google if needed, it will save you $$ and time.

Worst customer service!!! I have to leave a 1 star I would rather leave zero star rating. I understand during this time of pandemic. But when you schedule an appointment online with a time to come in and get a phone screen and wanted to look at updating my galaxy watch. So we drive an hour to come to our appointment to be told we cant go inside, then people walk out from having an appointment as we did. We stood waiting outside for 35 mins as others walked out of the store. Then have an employee snap at us. I am appalled by there customer service. Thanks manager Tanner for even coming out to address the problem but sit inside and do absolutely nothing.

New and updated store. Kinda like a show room for the electronics of your dreams. Definitely the place to go to get deals on cell phones. The nicest thing is they have TV screens up top above the cell phone kiosk that will tell you what cell phones are on sale. Great customer service.

This Best Buy may not be the biggest store, however it makes up for it in great customer service. Even if the store does not have what I am looking for, the staff are always happy to ship to the store whatever I may need or to help me find a similar product that will meet my needs. They price match too! Almost everyone I have talked to is friendly and knowledgeable, and the changes the store has had since their remodel have improved the look and feel of the store. Its been convenient to get to, since it is right in the mall parking lot. I highly recommend doing business with them.

I had an appointment with the geek squad and they explained everything that I needed to know. then I had a meeting with the sales person in the mobile phone area and they help me resolve some issues with my smart phone. all in all it was a very good experience and I would strongly recommend going to them

Best Buy in Minot is an ok place to get what you need. It is a very small Best Buy and doesn’t have a lot that the big stores have. Employees care more about talking to each other, or being on their phones rather than helping customers. Met one manager who cares about complaints and customers. Brought to his attention a $1800 drone was priced at $380. He fixed it ASAP and said thank you. The trash, random pallets and fixtures laying all around behind the store is absolutely sad. Not sure how this business can get away with it and littering all around! Needs to be addressed bad and cleaned up.
Was a 4 star rating, and is now a 3. . They got rid of all their toys and turned their gaming section into two of the smallest aisles in the store. Unless another update to the store, probably wont be there for a while. Outside is falling apart, not appealing as a business. If there werent a couple cars outside, it would look shut down The people that work there is the great element about that place. They are very nice, courteous, and helpful always.
I love Best Buy uy because the staff know what there talking about. I was looking for a gaming computer and Nathan (the guy who help me) was super helpful and did not try to make me buy the most expensive thing. So super helpful and I love the building and the staff.

I was here the other day, making my rounds to see what new tech and models were out and while standing in the computer department where 3 to 4 employees were just stood grouped up, one of them had the worst attitude about whatever it was he was taking about. I dont really hold a care to things but the point of being an associate is to help customers not turn them off by creating a toxic air about the place. Honestly if your getting paid to do your job do it, keep personal rants or drama away from the customers. I heard it all. And it just made it an unpleasant experience. The older guy did answer questions I had about the hp 360 2in1s I had though, he was professional in his help at least.
Very good customer service but awful hours for shopping if a person works until 7 p.m.
I have not had good past dealings with Best Buy..mostly because of snooty salespeople. But this most recent trip was great. Our salesperson was polite and helpful. I got what I went for and the price was lower than expected. Overall, I was very pleased, and will shop there again.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I have recently bought 2 cell phones at best buy with the help from Hunter. He is the best associate they have with great knowledge of cell phones. He has went above and beyond to help us and always has a smile on his face! I waited for him to finish up with other customers so that I could have his help with my recent purchase. I will be going back to see him again for another purchase very soon and I will not buy one unless he is there to help. He also has helped my father in law with a cell phone purchase and my father in law was very impressed and was grateful that we sent him to a guy who knew what he was doing!

For instance in this case I purchased a laptop 2in 1 HP had everything I wanted and the people were very helpful and guiding me in the right direction you obviously cant go wrong with Best Buy
Some of the worst customer experience I’ve ever dealt with. We went in several times inquiring about a remote start for a manual transmission. Several staff including the installer said it would not be an issue to install on a manual. We waited to buy/schedule because we wanted to look at all of our options. Eventually, we went back to purchase the product and schedule the install (beginning of January.) We waited 6 weeks to have it installed only for the installer to call us on the day of, two hours into the appointment, to tell us that “policy changed” and they no longer install on manuals. However, the guy who checked us in said he just had his installed by this guy two weeks prior. I can understand if the installer wasn’t comfortable but he had all of the information on the vehicle several weeks prior. If bestbuy or the installer contacted us beforehand instead of the day of, this would be a different review.
The staff seems to be helpful and knowledgeable. When they dont know they do try to find out. If there is an issue they seem eager to fix it if they can.
It is one of the smaller Best Buy stores I have been to. So the products are a bit crammed in their store, which is why the 4 stars. However, the staff inside are extremely helpful and honest. Will purchase there again!
Clean friendly
I really like this store, practically is always a pleasant experience shopping here. The Best Buy app makes it really easy to see whats in stock at your local store. Recently I went here to purchase a printer that the app said the Minot location had in stock. After searching for a while, the employees were unable to locate it so they offered to one-day ship it to my house free of charge. Really good customer service. Also make sure to sign up for their rewards program, its free!
