Terry, Kristi and the rest of the employees were great to work with at Don Bessette Motors in Minot. We were in the market for a used mid-size SUV and drove through their lot and they had some options that we were interested in taking a look at. Terry had some other suggestions and had them ready for us to test drive when we arrived. He took the time to understand what we were looking for and gave us options to choose from. The whole buying process was enjoyable from start to finish and would recommend them to anyone!

I can only speak on my experience there. It was great service. Also fast. I read other 1 star reviews. It will be in the back of my head when my car will need any sort of service. The buying experience was outstanding enough for me to give 5 stars.

Poor rating is for the Service Center! About a year or less ago I had scheduled for my car to have a diagnostic done for electrical issues. (Was having issues starting after a heavy rain and water would come in throw the dash on passenger side). I got it in the same day the issues started. I was called shortly after telling me I could pick up my car because it started right up for them no issues, I asked if they had done any tests to see would could be causing the problem or figure out how the water was getting in. They told me they hadn’t because they didn’t see any issue with the car. They didn’t make me pay for anything (since they literally just started it). Car started having the same issues but much worse right after the heavy rain from about a week ago. So I decided to take it to a different service center. Now I’m paying over $1000 to replace electrical equipment and battery because the heavy rain caused a short in one of the boxes. All because they didn’t have time to look for a problem that may or may not be there! Now they are denying the whole thing because they didn’t keep record of me bringing the car in for these issues!

My car had a recall. An appointment was made. Parts needed to be ordered, but as long as I had my car in, I asked if they could check a pretty severe rattle I had in the rear of my car. I suspected my shocks were shot (sooooo many pot holes.) Anyway, that was the issue as well as another small problem. My car is almost 10 years old, and other than regular maintenance I have had no issues. Clinton called with the diagnosis and a quote for repairs. He gave me an approximate repair time and the repairs were completed on time. My car rides SO much better! I appreciated the communication every step of the process. Clinton was friendly and professional.

I am NOT very pleased with service I received at Don Bessette Hyundai in Minot ND last week! Although I am happy with the car, I am NOT happy with the ridiculous issues in signing my contract. I had to sign my documents 3 times! And they breached the contract I had already signed! It was like one mistake after another with them. I still do not have proper paper work for a CAR I already have in my possession. After the deal was done i started getting dings on my credit as though I was still looking for a car loan! Lindsey didnt notify or tell me there was an issue that the bank did not want to add my warranty, instead of her calling me and informing me giving me options on how to move forward she had 4 more credit inquiries added to my credit report! I am beyond frustrated with the process and will never go back. She stated this hardly never happens but I am only one customer and she messed up more than 3 times and I still havent received proper documentation for the purchase of my vehicle. It was a total hassle and I do not have time for it.The only silver lining is that the car runs well and was a fair price, but the ongoing issues with the process is something that I hope no one else has to endure. I advise everyone to go elsewhere when looking for a car, the headache was NOT worth it! There are other dealerships I have done business with in town ie, Ryan Nissan and Cartiva that have been great and professional go to see them if you are in MINOT!

Terry is your go to man. Polite, Funny, an honest salesman who gives you as many options as possible. He was by my side the entire time, through finding the right car for me, to putting the key in my hand. Through the many dealerships I have been to this is by far my favorite. This staff is so nice, caring, helpful and they go beyond their job requirements to make sure you fully understand what your buying, and the options you have. I’ve been meaning to write this for a few months now (and it’s my first ever review). While on a road trip (from California) with my son this past summer, my Mazda died in Dickinson. NOBODY had the slightest interest in diagnosing the problem in Dickinson and I was told that my fuel pump probably failed and that my only hope was to get towed to Don Bessette Hyundai in Minot where apparently one of the technicians had experience working with Mazdas. So the next day we endured the three hour tow to Minot expecting to be sidelined for a few days (with a hefty repair bill). Long story short- it was a frayed wire that was the culprit, we were back on the road in about an hour, and we were able to salvage our trip. Thank you, Brian, for your compassion and many thanks to the technician for your expertise. We made it home safely and my car is still humming along (knock on wood) six months later. I remain truly grateful to you, Don Bessette Hyundai.

The service department is the worst ever. My car was their 4 times for the same issue they refused to fix it the 4th under warranty at that. Not my fault every month something went wrong with the transmission or the wheel bearing they claimed they fixed. Yes i was very upset but that still dont give anyone the right to treat a customer the way their service manager did. So i took my car to bismarck motor company very professional and friendly bunch of staff they fixed my vehicle within a week no problems let me use a car right out of their lot no questions asked. I will never return to don bessettes for service or to buy a vehicle because the one that was supposed to be fixed was bought from their which is the slap in the face

Thank you so much to John B. who made leasing my Tucson a good experience. I usually get stressed out over getting a different car, but things went so smoothly. He also took the time to set up my phone apps. Ive had this phone for months and never have had the apps working. He was very helpful in getting it set up, then got the car starter option on my phone. He made sure I knew all the options available on the car before I drove off. Plus I love the way the Tucson drives!

5 out of 5 hands down. Called New Year’s Eve and spoke with Terry Epps and Kristi Burgess about a vehicle. Mr Epps was honest about my initial pick of a car and told me that it had some issues and he didn’t really recommend that particular vehicle. He suggested a similar model that had way less mileage and way better options. Terry and Kristi were willing to stay late even though the dealership closed at three. I wasn’t able to make it that night but came in at noon Saturday 1/02/21. The first thing Terry did was show me the initial car I wanted and what was wrong with it. Honesty in car sales means more to me than many can imagine. Mr Epps then took me to the car I ended up buying, 2013 Elantra GT. It had way more than I thought I could ever want in a vehicle. Then a first for me buying a car, Mr Epps had me follow him to the gas station where he FILLED the car with gas. That might seem corny to some people but that my friends, is a hell of a salesman. Kristy and Terry were amazing to work with have gained a customer for life. I couldn’t be happier.
