I always order from Socal Skateshop if my local shops out of a particular brand, especially the more niche brands, they normally will have it. Also, if you live in CA, you will get the order very quickly. Ive ordered from them multiple times and it was always 2 days max to get a new deck.

Came to this shop with an unusual request. I wanted to put grip on a bass drum pedal for my drums. The service was fast and friendly and they were eager to do something they havent done before. It came out great and it works great. Highly recommend going to this shop.

I like to shop local and wasnt even sure if this a real shop but you guys had a wicked sale for 4th of July and some of the items where sold out elsewhere. Shout out especially for the $10 flat shipping to the east side of Canada from So Cal and fitting everything into a small box.

The slowest shipping of any board shop I’ve ever dealt with. 13 days after ordering and I’m still sitting here waiting for my board.Edit: Still waiting for my board, I’d return it at this point as I went and bought one locally after getting tired of waiting for two weeks, but this shop conveniently charges a $30 return fee. Will never get another dime of my money

Love this place! When I went in on 5/12/2019 I was helped by the fella with longer blonde hair and a cap on (sorry I didnt ask for the name). All the guys in the shop offered their help which was so appreciated. Anyway, he was insanely helpful. Super kind. He took the time to help me and my boyfriend look at inventory from the back on the computer. I gave him an idea of what I wanted and he delivered immediately. He brought out 2 boards, both different sizes and allowed me to test them out. I found the board I was looking for within 10 minutes. (Z-Flex) and that was my first time buying my own board. Great great energy in this place.

I really wanted to love this place. It is impressive that a small business can respond so quickly and efficiently. That said, charging $26.95 for a return is insane. I honestly don’t think free shipping should be offered if it will be charged upon return. This policy was confusing and I would have never placed an online order had these fees been more clearly outlined upfront.

First time shopping here...Took 4 days from when order was made for parts to ship. Was not expecting almost two weeks from order to delivery and had to purchase another board for use in meantime. Good selection, but dont use if you want legit quality free shipping (yes other companies have this)

Awesome experience! Went in to get a new board. Ive skated before, but Im not a skater. I came in today (10/1/2019) to buy my first cruiser. Guy at the desk was super helpful and knowledgable. He went through different deck shapes, wheel sizes, etc... and also showed me all the complete builds he had in stock. Support your local skate shop is what we thought would have been the right thing. Show up, there are two people working, so we get that they are busy. Line starts to form, still all good. People randomly walk to the front and without asking who is next. The guy in the front counter goes to the person that did a “name drop” that just walked in and helped them out. Now let’s just say honest mistake. We had to speak up and let them know there is a line waiting to get helped before them. He apologized and again could have been an honest mistake. We pick out what we want just for them to say they sold them online already and didn’t want to sell to us. Waited all this time to find out that an item that was in display for sale is not actually for sale. Please have more inventory or remove the product as soon as sold online to avoid these issues. Complete turn off. Sick set up clean shop but experience was poor.

My 9 and 10 year old girls wanted skateboards. I was going to buy the cheap ones you see everywhere but after looking online I realized you have to buy quality to have a good experience. I went to this shop with my girls and said I want something that can turn and not hit a crack and fly on their face. The two guys that helped me were very nice and showed me different beginner boards. They showed me Penny boards and I had heard about the plastic boards but I wasnt sure about them, but they assured me of the quality and they had a full selection. My girls fell in love with them and found the colors they wanted. The price was very comparable to online sites plus shipping. We went straight to a park and they did great, they ride so smooth! It was nice going to SoCal for their advice.

Ive been using SoCal for years. They always have a great selection and great service. Last week I took my son in to build out a new carve board and Andy couldnt have been more helpful. They listen to what we are looking for and guided us to a board and setup that my son loves. They have all the top quality bands and they will continue to get my business. This is the 5 board I have bought from them and all my equipment tool. They have a huge selection of safety equipment even stuff that fits old big guys...

Just went in to buy a board today and I had no idea what to get. I was met with personal service, step by step help in choosing my board and accessories, and they even installed the entire thing in front of me free of charge. The best shop in all of socal and this is coming from a guy who lives two minutes from literally 9 other skate shops.

BEST. CUSTOMER SERVICE. EVER. Hands down these guys know what theyre doing when it comes to customer satisfaction. I unfortunately did have to return something on my behalf but do not let that stop you from shopping from their store. They helped me with everything and walked me through every detail of the return process to get me set up to ship my item. They were extremely helpful with each and every little thing, I honestly thought I would have to go through painful emails on what to do but I was proven wrong. I will definitely be shopping here again, and shoutout to Mike for helping me get situated and eventually getting me my full refund. I chose this spot because on Maps they seemed to have the biggest selection of decks. I got attended by a guy that was being disrespectful and didnt care about helping me buy my first board. I got the board, but was referring everything to the website. He was adding trucks and wheels to their websites online cart, just showing me an image on the computer. he dodged my question if I can see the trucks first. He hardly made eye contact, seemed like he was zoning out. Hed ignore any questions for a while then his answers always dealt with looking on their website. He made it extremely difficult and frustrating to get started. I regret buying from them and would rather take the board to get set up somewhere else.

Id love to support the local skate shops but selection seems to be an issue at most . SoCal has everything. SoCal is reasonably priced and stock items ship quickly after your online purchase. Tracking on all my orders has been dead on. What more could you want.

Been using their internet site and physical location for at least a decade - just ordered an Alva and a Dogtown through the internet and a bunch of merchandise - they did an incredible job of building the boards - called back 2x with specific questions and options - very good customer service - have ordered over a dozen boards from them with only one issue - which in ordering skateboards through the net is batting 1000 - love the selection, quality build and experience at SoCal - nice to see so much dedicated still to vert skating

Drove from Garden Grove to buy a longboard deck. They have the best and biggest selection of everything skateboarding and the staff couldnt have been more helpfull. I buy stuff from SCS all the time. They have stuff no one else has like the Retro 60mm wheels I just bought from them. I got hooked on 70s style boards so I need the real stuff from the 70s and SCS has that. This is the only shop that had the Sims 34inch pure juice deck in stock and the Bennett 106mm trucks, just sick. Im a online shopper but I call all the time and they are great. I have had problems with DADS so I do not shop there anymore. I live in the Bay Area 10miles from SF and it worth me shopping at SCS because they always have what I want at a killer price.
