This place is super cute! Has a nice atmosphere and pretty good coffee. The only thing Id say is that the service was sub par. Didnt get greeted when I walked in and stood around for 10 minutes waiting to be able to order. Other than that Elixir is a good stop for a morning cup of joe.

Good place, nice vibe and amazing coffee. I order a coconut honey latte with oat milk and it was really good. They have oat milk so good chance that you could get any option turned into vegan too.

The food was OK but the staff was very rude. When we walked in if looks could have killed...It was a Monday at 1:20. Not how can I help you but what do you want. I asked about soup. No, its already put away. They serve food until 2 but open until 3.They brought sandwiches out without a word. Apparently no refill on a cup of coffee. The rueban was ok but tasted like it had watered down dressing on it. There were dill pickles on the sandwich, different, the pasta salad tasted like block & barrel from. Sysco. The club sandwich was good except for the soggy piece of bread in the middle & the limp romaine on the sandwich. No pickle.The best part was the scone.We left at 1:45 as the girl with the mop & bucket was just about to our table giving us the evil eye. 😈 Never a thank you for coming, how was your meal, nothing.There were at least 10 other people in the place mostly on laptops or I pads.One of the most unfriendly places weve been.

It’s a gem, great stop if you’re traveling and need quality coffee and the food is good as well. So many towns in SD only have chain stores and it is refreshing to see such a fabulous local spot that cares about its ingredients.

I loved the decorations and furnishings at Elixer. The customer service was amazing, and my Java Slush was delicious. It was definitely worth the visit downtown.

Excellent coffee and friendly service. The WiFi was fast, there was plenty of comfy seating, and the restrooms were clean. It has a very warm and inviting atmosphere, more than your average coffee shop! Would be a great place to work on laptops for a while or grab desert with a friend.

The staff was friendly, and the space was clean. My food wasn’t warm enough, but the coffee was good. Overall, it’s a good spot to meet up with someone for breakfast or a quick cup of coffee.I only tried their biscuits and gravy, so I can’t speak for all the other items on the menu.

I went here for the first time because people were being critical of their mask policy. I found the people to be wonderful. I agree with the shop forcing masks is too heavy handed

Great place to relax over a cup of coffee and snack, both of which are consistently good. Customer service is great too. Plus I love the atmosphere, with couches and easy chairs scattered around, you can really relax while getting your caffeine fix.

Excellent coffee shop. Freshly roasted coffee beans, well-pulled espresso shots, from scratch baking, Beautiful ambiance and friendly staff. I tried a vanilla latte, which I dont usually go for, and it had a lovely real vanilla flavor. Highly Recommended!

Special shout-out to Elixir Roasterie for serving my for-here cold drink in a glass made out of glass! This alone will make me come back and tell all my friends about it. And the coffees great, too!

Stopped in this little local coffee shop to see what its like. I tried the raw sugar and cinnamon late and it was delicious and the staff delightful! Highly recommended!

Just passing through. Very anti mask to the point where the cashier makes you feel bad about it. Had trouble just trying to get a decaf American. I dont think the cashier could wrap her head around the word decaf. Needs better customer service

This lovely place is in the heart of downtown Mitchell and they are a gem on Mitchell’s Main Street for sure! I got the Biscuits and Gravy and you can tell these were made with passion. They offer generous portions and it is so tasty! I would reccomend this place to everyone I know! Great atmosphere and friendly staff!

Happy with our food. Surprised by the complete lack of acknowledgment of a pandemic. No masks for employees, no encouragement of masks for customers, despite some kind of street festival making town busier than Id expected. Id go back post-pandemic but for now will stick with places taking a few more precautions. Why not.

My roommate constantly talks about how good this place is. He loves everything that hes tried here so far and were always finding their to-go boxes in his car. ;) Hopefully Ill get to stop in next time!

Elixir is a lovely place with a peaceful atmosphere and great food and drinks! :) It’s the perfect place to study, or meet to talk with a friend.

Amazing service and even better food and coffee. We have stopped twice now on our way from visiting family in Illinois back to Spearfish, SD. Great breakfast sandwiches, smoothies and baked goods. It’s also a really nice space to take a sit down and enjoy a coffee if you need a break from driving, and it’s really close to the interstate. Really glad they are in Mitchell! It will be a regular stop on our travels.

A hip cafe in downtown Mitchell. The iced coffee was delicious but the berry scone was a bit dry. I also give it three stars because the staff were not wearing masks. This is important not only customer safety but their own safety. Time × Exposure increases the risk for infection. Thus, those who are working in confined spaces are at higher risk of infection.

Got there 6:30 on a Thursday evening; one-hour wait for our order. Delicious pizza, lemonade refreshingly tart. Melt-in-your-mouth cheesecake dessert on the house due to order delay. Very friendly service.

We stopped here as a last stop for breakfast/coffee after camping in CO for 2 weeks and we are so glad we did. It was the perfect place to fuel up for our last leg home. The breakfast sandwich was delicious!

The staff at Elixir is so friendly and they provide great service EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Their americano is perfection and you have to try to cafe club! Theyve done a fantastic job decorating the inside and making it the perfect spot for a relaxing breakfast or a quick meeting!

Cute little shop, pretty expensive, good lattes, I got mine iced with hazelnut. Great service . The biscuits and gravy wasn’t as good as I hoped but it wasn’t terrible.I’m changing my review, about 3 hours after the food and coffee my stomach started hurting, found out I ate bad food, maybe the sausage in the biscuits and gravy or maybe the eggs who knows, DONT get their biscuits and gravy!!

Went here for the 2nd time. 1st time was a few months ago and they mustve had new business issues because this time was fantastic. Came in on Thursday evening for their pizza and it is delicious. Fast service, great atmosphere, very welcoming and clean. Definitely need to try it out for yourself!

This place is awesome! Passing through? Stop here for breakfast or lunch and skip that nasty Perkins food. Awesome couches, friendly staff and the food is great. We had lunch, the cafe club which was great. Their food is light here. Great place in downtown.

My espresso wasnt the best, but still decent. It wasnt burnt or anything, just tasted different. Had to wait around for a bit to get service and had to wait for more coffee to be made. My significant other said that their dark roast is some of the best hes had. Our barista was friendly, and the atmosphere is nice.

Elixir make the most delicious drinks and even better food. The Rueben sandwich here is my favorite! 10/10 would recommend.

Wow, what a pleasant surprise! This is our first day in Mitchell and I didnt expect to find a chic little cafe like this. Its very welcoming, lots of seating, and very clean. The club sandwich is phenomenal. The owner works here, she was actually the only one working when we went, took our order and prepared the food. We will definitely be eating here often.
