My second flat tire in one week. I took the first one to pep boys and was so impressed with how quick and efficient they were! Its always needlessly scary for me to take my car in and they made the process amazing. Definitely take your car there!

They do good work, and have great employees. BUT, no one ever picks up the phone. Ive called about my vehicle for 3 days, 32 calls, no answer. Called when I was in the building, and nobody picks the phone up. They seem to be understaffed in lobby. The 1 guys there looked very stressed with dealing with customers in the lobby. But still very helpful. I would not want his job...

We used PepBoys for the first time, and very pleased. Our passenger van Chevy express needed a new tire. They were short handed, but clear about it. We ran errands while they had our van in the shop. Mitch was the associate who was helping us, his communication skills are superb. Thank you.

My wife took my truck for the life time alignment, balance and rotation. $240 and 7hrs later they finished my truck but didnt do any thing to it. Talked with the manager and all he said was he could refund my money. A joke of a work place.

I understand if there is a day where you’re swamped, but don’t sigh in such irritation and proceed to take a call in front of me while we are talking. I know who to not go to.

I wanted to give 0 star but could not. I went to this place last week to get a new tire. I paid and left because I was in rush to travel out of town for job. Happen to look into the receipt now and see an outrageous fees for services neither I was asked nor I requested for it (example: road side assistance). I have been cheated on. Now I know why their cashier guy gave me a little thumps up with some smile looking down when i put my credit card on their machine without paying attention to the price or anything. I live close to this place and will be traveling back home this week. Oh it will be fun. Trust these days is hard to get. Very bad business. Never go here. Never.
I was originally quoted a much lower price than I was told when I went to have my tires installed and they matched the original price immediately without question. Definitely pleasantly surprised. Will no doubt be giving them my business again.
Upon arrival I was greeted. Me not knowing anything about vehicles proceeded to explain my issue. I used crazy sounds and words like thingamajig. The service manager was awesome in providing possible issues and how to fix. She had her crew check it out and I just needed one new part. Prior to anything all fees were discussed as well as timeframes. Everything was speedy, diligent, and a pleasant experience while not making me feel silly for not knowing the issue. I recommend this store to help anyone who isnt super car saavy and even if u are u will have a good experience
I have never been so frustrated and inconvenient as I was at the store. At first everything was going on as expected getting new tires installed on my truck. The technician brought the truck around the building and gave the keys to the inside sale person. I proceeded to the counter and paid for the service rendered. As l approached the truck I noticed the spare tire was missing. I went back into the store and told the inside sales person that I was missing my spare tire. He asked me to drive back to the side of the building and he would get the spare. I drove around to where he told me to. The technician looked at me and ask what I was waiting for. I told him my spare tire wasn’t on my truck. He then pointed to the tires on the ground and said there it is. I said bio. You haven’t put one of the good tire on the rim for my spare. He replied that the ticket was closed and there was nothing he can do without a open ticket. I walk back inside the store and told the salesman what was said. Again he said he would take care of the matter. After a few minutes gone by the technician changed the tire and then rolled the tire over to me. I asked him was he going to store my spare tire? He said no that they do not store the tire. Again I told the inside sales person about the comment made by the technician. He said that was not true and he would take care of that. In the meantime the technician drove another car on rack. I then had to wait another 30 minutes until he completed the servicing of the car he drove on the rack. Upon completion, the technician drove my truck back into his stall. Then he ask me where is the tool to raise the tire. This was the first time anyone had ask me that question. I looked it up on utube to located the tool he said he needed. I believe three were some unmentioned issues with the technician and management. However, those issues should not been seen or felt by a customer. Someone needed to be instructed how to resolve their problems outside the present of customers or find a different line of work. Today is December 24, 2020. Merry Christmas.
I appreciate them taking me in late in the evening to do my oil change when other companies denied giving me service.
They lied to me that they replenished my motor oil, they told me engine was dry (no oil) when i came for free check engine light. They gave me a bill of $70 for just check engine light scan which they said was free. Be careful when you go there. They would rip you off

This use to be a place that I trusted with my vehicle but not anymore. Poor customer service and rude management. Never again.
Just had my stock tires remounted on aftermarket rims. Back right wheel feels unbalanced and shakes and I can hear the road noise and see the vibration in my car on my phone mount. Paid $122.20 and when I brought it back she acted like I was lying. I also greeted her when I walked in, waved said how are you doing, she didn’t even acknowledge me even though she made eye contact with me as I waved. Also want $35 for a tire rotation where as Nissan only wanted $20. The employees had all my tires off already, could’ve went ahead and rotated them or at least asked me if I wanted to pay for a rotation. Nope. Also I specified in the work order to use the lugnuts I had in my cupholder. Brand new set, they didn’t use the set and I had to open the door and stop them. They did at least put the old ones in the box nice and neat. I also watched them stop working on my car and start doing other stuff. That’s fine, they’re busy but still. $122? Scott stevens in Dothan did it for free for me and treated me with respect. She couldn’t fit me in today which was understandable, but she acted like she was going to do ME favor rebalancing that wheel. Like they’re going out of their way to fix something they didn’t do right anyways! I was going to get it done tomorrow at Pepboys but I don’t even want to allow them to rectify the mistake seeing as how I was treated, I will be going to Nissan and paying $20 for the rotation.
Any time I have visited this location, I am always greeted warmly by the store manager, Williams Kelly, who never fails to meet my every need. She is extremely knowledgeable in every area, as well as the nicest, friendliest manager I have ever met! 5/5 stars for sure!

I made an appointment online for 1pm today. At 3pm my car was still sitting in the parking lot. They kept telling me I was next but next never came. Dont bother to make an appointment as they just process customers as they come in. They looked understaffed and the office was often unattended. That location is in serious need of an overhaul. Dont use it unless you have all day to wait!
I absolutely love this Pep Boys location! The managers, most of the employees are helpful and sometimes give you a good laugh. One of the employees even took the time to show me how to replace the bulb in the tail light of my car in scorching heat with no charge.Ive come to them several times now and recently made a purchase for 4 brand new tires. The only hiccup I had was when calling, I priced the tires with someone over the phone (including tax) and when I was ready to come in the guy I talked to wasnt there and the tires were more than I was told so adjustments had to be made. Luckily after that things went smooth and Im still happy with the overall service they give.(Edit) I take everything I said back, I went to get my back right tire repaired because of a nail and the guy informed me about my sensor light and asked if I had issues with it and then showed me the part that pep boys BROKE when I got my tires put on the car!! Im furious! When I got my tires put on they informed me that it could be an electrical issue and LIED to me about it. That mechanic that lied to me should be ashamed of themselves for being so deceiving and I was a regular customer of them and never had issues. I will never return to them again for anything and advise others not to do the same.

Manager was very rude. Hollering. Used the excuse she was hard of hearing. She wasnt hollering while speaking on her cell phone prior to waiting on me. I had to come 2 hours to handle a situation that my son had tried to handle without me. She argued me what the computer proved. Then tried to still argue me once I proved her she was obviously covering up an employee/computer error.
Brought in a vehicle as the wipers were not working. Wipers go up now, and the get stuck at the halfway point. Good thing I was on the highway when it started raining. If they cant do this repair right, I wouldnt trust them with anything else
I am very happy with the service. I called at 5 pm on a Friday and the guys were able to fit me in to get all four tires replaced. Special thanks to Ryan and John for being so friendly and accommodating to my needs.👍👍 Gold star for you guys and keep it up!

Its okay. The staff is knowledgeable. Sometimes they seem to put more importance on customers calling than those in the store. I brought my wifes vehicle in to get serviced & it took more than 30 minutes to get through three people in line. I understand if they were shorthanded. Every time the phone would ring, the person would stop what they were doing & take care of the caller.

Had a full set of tires installed with a front end alignment and rotors and pads on the front...my low tire pressure light is still on. They quoted one prices but charged a higher price so they comped me for my next oil change. I made an appt for my oil change at 8 am... It is now 10:07 am and they still are not working on my car yet....im very unsatisfied with the service i have received at this location
Was in there forever. Took 45 minutes just to buy a battery. Was there for nothing else.
Got my van towed in on 2/28/19 and its been at the location every since. Everytime I went in they ever has time to check it out. Went in last week was told it was fuse box. Went it two days later was told that wasnt the issue 😒. Then, was informed that it was a computer issue. Was told they would call when they located part that had to be programmed to my van. Never heard back. Called this morning was told it was ready to go and been fixed. Went in paid $402 and got in the van and it wouldnt start. So over this place. I thought bringing my vehicle here wouldve been the best choice. Ended up with more disappointment. I do not recommend this specific location. Staff are rude and seems inexperienced.☹️

Well tried to get my oil changed today at this pep boys hub location in mobile Alabama. It was approximately 5:45pm on a Tuesday. I called ahead to make sure that they had an opening to do the oil change. I was in a Chevy 3500 dually truck with a utility bed on it. I was flatly told they dont have a lousy that would lift the truck at all so they refused to do an oil change.I work for a job where we are all over the country and have had my oil changed at many other pep boys locations in this very truck. It looked as they had no customers getting service and that they just wanted to be able to just leave at 7 when they no longer are taking customers.After driving 500 miles and then needing am oil change being flat refused.Needless to say I wont be doing business with pep boys again.

Worst establishment I have ever visited. Just because I am a female, my guy friend was gay, and my other friend was black, we were treated horribly and differently by Tony, a white male. My guy friend had come down to visit and ran into a bad wreck on 65 and a piece from the wreck hit his car. His front passenger rim was bent, causing the wheel to wobble back and forth. Basically, his car was in no condition to drive. He had to travel back to his hometown and we didn’t want to risk him getting hurt on the way back home. We went inside and spoke to Tony, who “couldn’t seem to follow along” when we wanted to switch out the bent rim for another rim my guy friend had in his car, that would be good enough to get him home. We went outside and showed Tony the problem. He said “Sorry, nothing I can do for you.” And walked back inside to take a smoke break. Finally, we spoke to Rusty. He gladly took care of us. I will not be returning to this establishment, nor will any of my college friends come either. I might even consider reporting to the Better Business Bureau. Tony had no interest in helping us out. Whether he was racist, or homophobic, he works for the public. Tony does not deserve a job at this establishment. He has no respect for anyone. No business should hire anyone like that. I would like to thank Rusty for helping us and being very respectful to us. We really appreciate Rusty’s help. I don’t usually have to leave reviews, but I felt like this needed to be addressed. No matter what race or anything, we should never have been treated the way we were. He was definitely not helping us because he was too lazy, had no idea what he was doing, and was judging us. Please consider going else where if there is a problem with your car. This establishment is not a good one. I wish I could have given negative stars.

This place did a horrible job of customer service. I got there last night at 6pm. I was told to bring my car back when they opened in the morning at 7am. So I found a place to stay in town overnight. In the morning when I came back, they told me they had no mechanic to look at my vehicle and wanted to charge me initially $80.00 just to look at it. I left with my vehicle and went to Precision Tune Auto Care. They are charging about 40 to do what Pep Boys didnt even have the people to do.

Rude customer service, unhelpful, takes far longer than it should. Was waiting in line for 20 minutes just to confirm an appointment I had already made online. If you can, go to the Saraland location or just avoid this shop all together.
Might be an okay place yo go if you know exactly what you need and wanna look for it yourself. I called to find out if they carried the transmission fluid for my car (told them exactly what i needed) then drove there after i was told it was on the shelf, only to find out they didnt actually know what i was talking about and it wasnt in the store.

Horrific experience here. I was driving through and my truck blew the timing belt. I was stuck in the parking lot for 3 days while they attempted to fix it. They finished and I knew immediately the truck wasn’t working correctly. There was oil and fluid scattered all over the engine and hood of the truck. Grease marks on the side of the truck. I got back to Orlando finally and took the truck to another pep boys where they found that the truck wasn’t fixed at all. It was leaking a quart of oil a day. Luckily it was under warranty and I finally got it fixed for no cost. What did I learn? Don’t go to this location. It was completely terrible!

Took 5 hours to get 1 tire installed called and they told me 15 minutes called back because they didnt provide a total then was told an hour because they didnt know it needed a tire 🤔😔 which what I took in for. They are so scattered and lack of coms between tech and service. Then was told it would be $100 plus tax... The total was $120 . geez never ends with this place. I was in a bind so I guess it worked out hopefully the lugs are tight Ill check when I get home.Update: I sent an email to the response below it has been a week and no reply so even their social customer service is bad.

It doesnt do any good at all to make an online appointment. They just put you at the bottom of the list of everyone who came in earlier. Ive been here over 95 minutes and they still havent balanced my one wheel. Their lift is broken and they cant lift my diesel truck. I had to suggest the use of a floor jack. Had also scheduled an oil change and they are out of diesel synthetic oil. So they dont even look at their appointments or they would have had my oil ordered and they would have called me and told me their lift was broken. Total waste of my time. I will not return to this location ever.
My wife set a appointment up for noon online for this location today to have the brakes replaced. When she arrived there she was told that they had no mechanic on hand today and they did not attempt to try to see if any of their other locations could help. Horrible customer service. Will no longer do any business with this company and will advise anyone who ask me about them. What good is setting up appointments online for your store and not being able to keep them or even try and help someone out. Horrible service.

I can not say how much I appreciate the team of Professional at store 185 on Montlimar on September 30, 2016. General Manager Jay, Assistant Manager Roterrl and Service Writer CJ are the best in town. They keep my informed of what was going on with my car in a timely manner and told me what else that I need to work on getting fix in the future. I will only take my car to Pep Boys on Montlimar Store 185 for now own. I definitely give them a high star because they know how to treat a customer.
I wish I could give negative stars. The only thing this place is good for is turning around in the parking lot. They shorted us oil when we got a change (who does that)!?! Just assumed we wanted the most expensive package for something without asking and even when weve made an appointment ran 3 hours over.

This location is horrible. I never leave reviews and Im usually very understanding. But after 2 horrible experiences, I will never go back. The staff gave us the run around and made us ask the same questions several times before theyd give a straight answer. It was very shady. They took hours to do an oil change and they were supposed to rotate and balance the tires. The employees said they rotated the tires, although we watched them and know they didnt. Finally, someone admitted to not rotating them because of some policy. In that case, I have no idea why it took hours to change oil. They didnt call us when they said they would. It was so unorganized and frustrating to say the least. My last experience was the same way.

I had some hubcaps I mistakenly stored in my shed, they became brittle and broke. They took them back no problem even though I had them 9 months and I made the mistake
The only real issue I had was that they never said anything to me when my car was finished. When I realized my car was out front, someone told me it had been out there about 20 minutes. I know they were busy, but its poor customer service when you let someone sit there that long after you have finished their car. Dont think Ill be returning to this location.
Today my son and I got there around 2:30-3. Not one person told us how long the wait might be for a front-end alignment & a oil change. Come 5-5:30 the guy running the front desk came told me I didnt need a front-end alignment (oh I should state my car stayed sitting in the parking lot this entire time until around 5) and we were not the only customers waiting so long. So he says all u need is a tire rotation and balance, why did I think it need a alignment? One because my husband said so...2 because it pulls to the right and vibrates really badly at 65-70 on the interstate. He said he still didnt think I needed one. Well guess what we did not get out of there until almost 7 freaking oclock.. give it he only charged me like $13... (Which if he had charged for the tire rotation I would have said something... I get that free)... Anyways on my way home my car now pulls left and vibrates even more... Now it may not need a alignment, but all this time there and something is still wrong... I have a 2015 Nissan versa, I shouldnt have this many problems.. by the way married woman DO NOT LIKE BEING CALLED BABY, SWEETHEART, ECT.... THATS FOR MY HUSBAND ONLY!! The asst manager that works over the store is very sweet and was very helpful... She did what she could... And can vouch for what my son and I went through... Plus the other customers sitting with me... One woman dropped her car off at 11 by 2 they called and said they were done, except they forgot to rotate her tires...so by 4 she figured they would be done....nope still not .. she was sitting there still at 5:30... So short handed or whatever.... U should let ur customers know what the HELL is going on... My son has medical problems and I had know way of leaving and getting him food or anything... And u sure didnt offer even a bag of chips... U could have said u can come back at this time or maybe 2-morrow would be better.... I dont know, I will be back alright....just to get what I went to have done to begin with... And I will NOT PAY one cent!!!!!!!!!!

I went here just yesterday for a oil change on my Tahoe and now my radiator is busted i take it back to them they say it’s not there fault that lil short guy with glasses is the one worked on my truck then gonna try an say it’s from age no uj chevy just was under my hood and saw nothing wrong with anything except my ac which they fixed this is a bad business i will be calling the BBB, I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT IN ANY PEP BOYS EVER AGAIN
Run away! They put the wrong weight of oil in my car (2014 Chevy) which precipitated a camshaft intake solenoid failure while I was on Airport Blvd with my kids in the car. We almost wrecked due to engine failure (camshaft intake is what let’s your engine ‘breathe’- mine was choking on its own exhaust). The same a**hole (Jeffrey Holton) also only rotated the driver side tires that were visible from the waiting room observation window. How do I know? My front passenger had a slow leak...after rotation it was still the front passenger. There was also grease all over my floorboard and steering wheel. I wanted to try Pep Boys because they do VIN reporting on maintenance and my dealership service package just expired. I will never use them again. It took 4 hours while I waited there.. I even held the door for the half-assed mechanic as he grumbled carrying oil back to the garage. All I had done was an oil change/rotation (and they didn’t even do the whole job). The one good thing I can say is the lady (Arlyece Tolbert) at the service desk was very polite and helpful. Attaching photos of my papers so you can see whom to avoid.

I hate that I purchased my tires at Pep Boys and more so this location. It takes 2 hours to do a balance and rotate!!! Plus you will wait as the employees do whatever they want. Holding conversations amongst themselves and of course the dounut breaks. I recommend driving on flats.

I dont even post reviews online but I am today. So today my friend took my car to get an oil change and while my car was there he notice a nail in the tire. The issue happen on their premises! So I called and spoke with the assistant supervisor and he stated that he apoplogize for my inconvenience lol 😂 😂 But he can not replace the tire.. my friend already had to wait 3 hour for the oil change but they didnt care.. if you know like I know DO NOT VISIT THIS PEP BOYS!! I guarantee you that u will have a terrible experience and I promise you will wait forever!! Never again❌❌❌❌
My parents, who are in their 70s, went there for alternator work. Severely understaffed. My parents were there from 11 am to 7pm. Other person was there for his tires. He was there for hours. Do not go here. Your time will not be respected. Pep boys are not upfront about wait times.Also have to add that when their car was ready no one came to tell them. They had to look in the parking lot themselves! Such sucky service here. Dont do it!
