These guys squeezed me in for a tire swap with no appointment. They were friendly and helpful. Their labor cost is slightly higher than average, but its still a fair price for quality work. I was stressed out, and the mechanics here put me at ease immediately. I will return when I need my next oil change!
All the good mechanics shops around here are knee deep in work & you will be lucky to have their time.
Very professional when I was in need
Unfortunately, I had a very bad experience not unlike the one described by the reviewer Mira, below.I took my car in because it would not start. I was called, toward the very end of the work day, and told that the diagnosis was a dead battery and that the cost to fix would be about $450.I had to get off work early, buy my own battery (about $175), and install it myself with less than 15 minutes of work. Including the retail price of a battery, the half-hour diagnostic charge, and a charge for the actual time for installation, by my calculations it seems like they still tried to charge me almost double what the actual cost should have been.I feel that this establishment tried to cheat me by quoting me such a ridiculously inflated price for such a quick fix. I would not recommend this place to any of my friends or family, and I will never go there again.
I noticed a tire light on my dashboard come on, as I was driving past Thomas Auto Sale and noticed they were open. I stopped in hoping they may be able to squeeze me in on a Saturday morning. The owner David is not only really nice to talk to, but very accommodating and able to get me an appointment to fix my tire within an hour! Clean office space, nice spruced up yard and super pleasant mechanic Mason. Highly recommend them!SP ~ Montpelier
Great place to have work done on your vehicle. Mason and Cyndi are very knowledgeable, and always have me back on the road quickly. Rates are reasonable, and the new location is much more convenient for parking. They were also very accommodating when another customer needed a ride to and from town. Highly recommend!
Exceptionally friendly and fair
When my car didnt start, I had it towed to Thomas on the recomendation of a friend. They called me a few hours later letting me know that my battery had died, which I suspected, and that it was fixed and ready to pick up. Fantastic.I showed up and the bill was $330. I know many other places that would have fixed that for $90, easily. Thomas Auto did not call to let me know what work they planned to do or how much it would cost. If they had, I obviously would not have signed off on it.The people I dealt with were nice, but its a total scam. I will not be going back and I would not recommend it unless you have an endless supply of money to throw away. All I can say is that this battery better last for the rest of my cars lifetime.
My son is up in VT for the summer playing baseball and his steering column was making a horrible noise. Thomas was able to take his car in right away and fix. I was told the price before the maintenance was done. Seems like a great staff.
Very good yes. true mechanic, no bullsht, excelant fixing, proper tools and garage, mechanical engineering. 🤔🛠😎
Ive been going to Thomas Auto in its various incarnations for a number of years now. They have always been very fair and professional in my dealings with them. Highly recommend.
Very friendly. Dropped in with flat tire with no appointment.
Great place! Made room for me when they were busy and took extra time out of store hours to get it done !
Super friendly and helpful folks.
