My hat is off to the roadside and wrecker crew that came out to me on the top of 68. The drivers put there lives on the line daily to help out stranded drivers, please remember that the next time you pass a disabled vehicle on the side of the road and you choose not to move over. Response time was quick and they were very professional.

They were very quick to respond. I had a leak in my break line and could not drive the vehicle so it had to be towed. Driver was great...told me that they do repairs as well. Indeed, they fixed my leaky break lines and got me back on the road. This has been a very positive experience.

I had a flat tire on the highway at 8am. I was on my way to class so I was in a hurry. They answered my call right then, came to get my car within 30 mins and towed my car to granville auto center at walmart. Great service and very polite! Made it to class and had no issues!

Called in the middle of a snow storm and wouldn’t help because I was able to get off the road. Said they could only come if I was stuck on the road. Said their truck wouldn’t do any better than my car. Really?? If your trucks are that bad, maybe you need a different business. I was more than willing to pay them. They just didn’t want to be bothered. Call anyone else. They’re useless.

My trailer got stuck in a ditch. Summer’s towing came on time and did a good job without causing any damage. Only their fees was higher.

I had an emergency while out of town in an unfamiliar area and needed a tow to a place an hour away on a Saturday afternoon on a holiday weekend. The weather was warm and I had my dog with me. I called Summer (the 4th place I tried!) and the woman I spoke with was extremely helpful and patient, as Id never had a tow before, didnt know quite where I was or how far I needed to go, and had my dog. She said the truck would be there in an hour; it arrived in 50 minutes.Tyler was extremely professional and kind. He called to confirm my location and updated his eta. He sorted out my car, was GREAT with my dog, and very reassuring throughout the whole process. Paperwork at the end was a breeze. Im so thankful I found this company. In the unfortunate event Im in the area and need a tow again, Ill be sure to call them first!

Unbelievable, i call broke down on the highway and call the closest tire repair i can find... But she tells me that they dont carry my tire size... I was not expecting that from a roadside tire repair shop.... I said so you arent really a tire shop then are you? She hung up on me! What a joke! Dont bother wasting your time with these people. They dont want your business anyway.

Had a sudden breakdown the weekend before Thanksgiving. I called Thursday morning and dropped my car off that morning. Repairs complete and vehicle back on the road by Friday afternoon. Cost of the repair was more than reasonable and work done was exceptional.

Great service arrived quickly and great driver

Have nothing bad to say about their service, just that they over charge. Had upper radiator hose, belt, and 7 gallons of coolant and was charged $850. Charged me 3 hours when he got there at 9:30 and was done by 11 and that included the 40 mins for him to go get the belt from hunters because he didnt have the right size on the truck. So really took less than an hour but charged me for 3

Summers Towing is one of the best heavy towing services in the north central West Virginia region. They have been involved in many difficult truck and bus recovery and towing operations. They also have a complete truck repair shop with qualified truck mechanics.

Would HIGHLY recommend using another tow company. After hooking up to our vehicle the tow driver said he couldnt take our vehicle where we wanted because it was snowing but was going to charge us 100 dollars no matter what. He drove it 6 miles to a pull off and we had to call another tow company.

Took my blazer to Summers towing in February of this year to have my wheel bearing on the passenger side replaced they looked at the vehicle and instead of replacing the wheel bearing they replace the upper ball joint couple days ago had to take the Blazer back to them because it still had to say noise and same problems found out that the wheel bearing was about ready to be frozen due to Summers refusing to fix my blazer this time I got kicked out because my daughter was mad and they threw me off the property had another mechanic look at the vehicle and told me that it was not safe to drive because the wheel bearing was about to lock up and I could have told the vehicle I would not recommend going to Summers towing in Morgantown for any kind of repairs they are a big rip off

Genuinely nice employees that work for the company.😃 Also, the guy that came to my rescue in the middle of the night was empathetic and totally understanding about my situation of being a little short on cash for the tire change I got from him. I recently had to have my radiator replaced and assumed that like most garages other components of the cooling system were inspected. I need a water pump and thermostat plus they told me the car was shaking and it was probably engine trouble that I must have driven hot. I didnt. The coil packs need replaced. $500+ and it took the entire day. I didnt see any other vehicles there. Never again.

They lied about even coming, all together. Called for a tow outside out Waynesburg, said they would be here in 45 mins. However, waiting a little over an hour, I called back. The woman answering the phone rudly told me a driver already drove out and back and did not see me. Also told me the driver called several times and no answer. She connected my call right away to the driver and he told me he was back in Morgantown and that we would have to pay double for him to come back to us. I never got a call and never gave my number for a call. So you made it passed Waynesburg and back to town in less than an hour. I doubt they ever left...Seriously unreliable careless people!!!! Unprofessional, go with Big Dog Towing!

Big Randy is one of the best heavy duty recovery operators alive. He has a twin steer 80 ton HIM. They have top of the line equipment and top quality employees. Jo their service truck driver is extremely knowledgeable. Most service trucks will come out and purposely not fix it to get the tow, but not Jo. Brian N. is one if there light duty wrecker operators. He is one of the best in the business. If your car is over the hill or in need of a difficult recovery, this is the guy you want.

Very prompt service and they offer free roving. In the event that serval cars were at the location as they were in my situation, they will bring multiple trucks to accommodate the issue.

Today I was stranded on I-68 headed from Maryland to Ohio. After my insurance couldn’t find any towing providers to pick me up, I looked to Summers Towing for a rescue. PJ arrived to tow us in a fraction of the time they estimated. He was incredibly kind and cheerful the entire ride to the body shop and made a tough situation a little brighter. Thanks for the save Summers and PJ!

Recently, my vehicle encountered a mechanical issue that required it to be towed to a service station. My insurance company said the soonest they could get someone out was in 3 hours. I hung up the phone, called these guys and within 20 minutes there was a tow truck sitting in front of my vehicle. The driver was kind and courteous, the tow truck wasnt immaculate, but clean enough that I didnt mind riding shotgun. Ten minutes after is arrival, we were on our way. I actually picked this company due to the higher review average and we laughed at how hilarious it was that towing companies all seem to get bad reviews because NOBODY is in a good mood when they need a tow and they take it out on the person who they didnt expect to have to pay that day. Not only did he tow me for the fee discussed,, after I had paid him, I asked how much hed charge to give me a lift to the car rental agency. He replied that hed be happy to do it for free. So, in summation...fast service, courteous driver, nice truck, good price and a free shuttle at the end. Five Stars in my opinion.

My axel went out in me in Smithfield, PA. It was late, I couldnt find any other towing service and I called Summers. They were professional and courteous over the phone and after a bit of discussion they sent a truck out to tow my car to their garage. I cant say how long it took them to get there as I had a ride pick me up. They called me the next day to tell me that my car was ready to go! The total for the tow was only $150, all the way from Smithfield! I ended up leaving paying $450 for everything and my car ran great! Good, fast service and at hours that most other companies are unreachable.

I reside in New Jersey and had my vehicle towed and repaired twice by Summers.They repaired my car properly without trying to take me to the cleaners..which they very well couldhave. They were extremely fair, honest, and reasonable. Im very satisfied.

These guys are amazing! I was a little hesitant calling Summers Towing, or any towing company in Morgantown to be honest, at first because I hear about how they are all ripping us college students off. However, my experience with Summers Towing was beyond excellent. My wheel axle broke apart while I was driving and I couldnt drive my car as a result. Blocking an intersection, I had to make decisions quickly because I was holding back traffic for a bit. I called Summers to have them tow my car back to their shop and they were there in no time. To make my experience even better, they actually charged me by what was given to me on my estimated quote. So there were no surprises whatsoever when I came to pick up my Jeep. I was relieved! Even though I hope I never run into this issue again, I will definitely use, and recommend, Summers Towing for my car needs. Thanks so much for the great service!

They did a great job helping me. The gentleman drove over a hour or so away just to hunt down a part for my Truck and spent a hour or so working on it. In zero temps. I will definitely call them if I ever have any problems in this area.

I was stuck this winter along bakers ridge while working. Summers Towing came out within 20 and freed my car from an embankment. They were very nice and professional. They were considerate of the cost, given my location and the effort required to free me. I would definitely recommend them to others.

First off, let me say that I have never done a google review but I was so unhappy with my experience at Summers that I must share. Well my battery light in my car came on, so I took it to advanced auto & found out it was the alternator. I bought a new alternator and my dad called summers and told them I would be bringing it by to be installed. When I arrived at Summer from the start, everyone was rude and treated be as though I was an idiot. The guy at the front desk got an attitude with me asking if I had called ahead and how I knew it was the alternator. I just let it go. Then I asked how long it would take and he said 3-4hours, which was fine if he would have been friendly when I asked. Not even 15minutes later Summers called to tell me it was the alternator and it was some belt that had snapped.. Being a female college student I really dont know much about cars so I asked him if he would call my dad if I gave him the #.. He then got snippy and said my dad can call them. Well my dad called and they gave him an estimate of $900 to replace the belt.. yes, $900. So we decided to take my car elsewhere.I went straight to Summers to pick my car up and they charged me $77.91 to give me a $900 estimate. Summers towing is nothing but a bunch a crooks. Take your car for a second opinion.

Trashed my bank account and wouldnt fix it. Tried to let them make it right and reach an agreement with them, but they refused to honor the original price they quoted me. Dishonest business practices.

I had my breaks fixed at Summers. I found the personnel nice and friendly and the rates reasonable. It took them less than an hour to fix my car. They did good job on my car and I am satisfied.

Dropped a tire off at thier shop that had a screw and also a nail it, figured since theyre a repair shop that they would patch both holes on the inside, Nope put they put dollar store plug in it and didnt even take the screw out. Was 25 dollars too.

My vehicle was towed from the Mile Ground due to the Monongalia County Sheriffs department. Whom gave me one reason after another for my vehicle being towed. Summers stated the Sheriff didnt have them write the reason for tow like normal so the towing company cannot tell me why it was towed. I have tried to pay over the phone for my vehicle multiple times and have been told to call back during their normal business hours since the answering service didnt know what payment methods are accepted. Unfortunately with it being the last day of the month and first of a new month I was unable to call the company during business hours. I run a business and am there from the early morning til night daily. With it being the time of the month it is I literally got now extensive break to make a phone call and pay for my vehicle. I called multiple times; once Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Saturday evening I finally got someone willing to help at the answering service by getting a driver to call me back. However the driver didnt know what payment method I could pay for my vehicle with. He then called the owner who told Andrew the driver I was speaking with that only cash is accepted for payment. So my question is, what is someone supposed to do in the middle of paychecks and only has a credit card with the funds needed for a tow? Mind you this tow was $226 for towing it 2 miles. This company expects people to pull it out of thin air I guess. Now the kicker to why I am even more livid than ever. My phone calls made Thursday and Friday to the tow company no one ever told me there was a fee for reopening which is why a simple tow is over $200 or that there is a $25 daily fee for storage. As I speak with Andrew the drive after he tells me I cannot speak to anyone whom runs the business until maybe Monday. I say maybe because the owner is busy doing paperwork all weekend I was told. But that also Mondays he is busy from that weekends paperwork that he may not get time to call me about my complaint. Waiting to hear from him since he is busy mind you I will continue to be charged a storage fee. Again I run a business and this is not how it is done folks. Especially to someone whom was just trying to pay to get their vehicle back.

Had a busted radiator hose and tried to pull safely off on the side of road and got stuck.The first wrecker that came wasnt going to be able to get me out, so they had to bring in a bigger truck with a rotator on it. The bill came out to almost 2500 dollars. They charged me for 3 hours of the first truck just sitting there not doing anything. If that wasnt useable charge a call out fee and move on. They got over on me and hit me over the head with the charges. DO NOT USE THEM!! USE HILLBILLIES INSTEAD!! Hillbillies is honest.If I could give this place negative stars I would!!!

Never call this company for heavy dirty towing. They r crooks. My truck broke die in Morgantown WV. Police called them to jump start it. They decided to tow the tractor first for $450 then tow the trailer to their yard for 450. The charge $450 for storage, then another 450 to get I total mechanic. So total $1,800.00 just towing I asked why, they said the law allow the to do that they robbed me. Please b smart dont deal with these people. Call Doug Towing instead. Good service n fair prices.

Car needed some work done, took me the day I called. State inspection went well ($12), oil change was fine (5 qts, $36), had some break work done as well. Poor estimates on when they were going to be done with the work. I was not in a hurry so it didnt bother me. I will take my car again, hopefully not anytime soon...

Absolutely horrible! The man that came was very nice but I was extremely overcharged for the work done. Didn’t even have to get a tow, but was still charged $100. Overpriced. Only reason we even used them was because they answered the phone at 11:30pm on a Friday. Don’t use them unless you plan on getting ripped off!!!! They also took much longer than the quoted half hour until the truck got there, about double the estimated time.

Sadly, I cant give this place a lower rating. These guys try to make picking up a towed vehicle the biggest pain in the ass. Called to see if they had my vehicle and wasnt told that I need to tell them I am on my way so they can send someone or that they take CASH ONLY. Plus I had to call 3 times and wait 45 minutes before anyone showed up. Also, once a driver finally arrived he told me an even higher price than the guy on the phone had given me. Try to stay away from the lots these scumbags are responsible for.

Hit ice on the interstate at 8 am and blew a tire when I hit the the embankment. Called Summers Towing because they are only a few minutes away from my apartment complex. They were there as soon as they could be, loaded up my car by 9 am, made sure everything was working, replaced my tires (with a better brand than I had on them before), and had it back on the road by 3:30 pm. On top of that, they offered to drive me home while they worked on it and picked me up when it was done. Granted, my apartment is very close so they may not offer that to everyone, but they were all incredibly helpful in a very stressful situation. Prices were reasonable and service was excellent. I feel very lucky to have walked away without any injury or serious damage to myself or my vehicle, and Im grateful to Summers Towing for making a misfortunate day easier to manage. Ill definitely remember them if Im ever in need of a towing company in the future!

Truck broke on side of 68W after midnight tow. Had camper and entire family. Service was impeccable. Friendly and concerned tow truck drivers went above and beyond.

Liars, the towing is expensive, I was NOT told I would be charged for them to look at and give me an estimate, and they put something in my cat that I told them I did not want and charged me for it. They need to tell me upfront what I would have to pay for. Never coming here again.

We called around and went with this company ONLY because they said they could get working on repairs first thing in the morning. I called Summers Towing and Repair to see if they could help me unlock my car. Expecting a grumble, I was pleasantly surprise to receive a very nice Yes, we can absolutely do that. I explained my situation and the receptionists told me to expect someone within the next 20-25 minutes. Sure enough, 20 minutes later, I was greeted by a very friendly gentleman who helped me retrieve the keys Id locked in my car.Most towing companies have a bad reputation for having an unfriendly and uncooperative staff, but Summers Towing and Repair proved that wrong. I highly recommend this company to anyone who needs a tow or needs to have their car unlocked.Two thumbs way up!!

$50 for a 10 minute visit to help inflate a flat tire is a joke. Pretty shameful.

Due to a start-up issue, I had to call them to have my car towed to a shop after hours. Despite the price (reason for 4 stars instead of five), the tow guy was nice, careful with the car, and exactly what I would have expected from a good tow service.

Called this place, the lady on the phone was extremely rude and I should’ve just hung up and found a different tow place but I needed my car towed. The guy arrived and was very rude as well, I asked him a question about my vehicle and he just starred at me like I was wasting him time. He said, do you need the car towed or not? I’m not from Morgantown, but if you’re looking for a good tow company, then steer clear of this one. $100 just to take my car a couple blocks and be treated rudely.

Scams. Scumbags. Liars. Had my Jeep GC Laredo towed from Stadium View apartments at 1115, to their location off of van voorhis. I was charged $167.50. They claimed 1.5 hours of labor. This is outrageous. Friend of mine who owns towing company says 5 min tops on hookup. As well as a 10 min drive. Total I give .5 hour. Piss poor business that cheats you of your money. I do not recommend this company for anything whatsoever.If I could rate 0 or negative stars I would.

Scammers and liars. I went for a state inspection and they said my shock absorber was broken and tires needed replacing. However, the shock absorber was working when I tested it and WV Law has NO minimum tread depth. I canceled the appointment, after I found out I was lied to, and they still charged me $20 just to ship back the part, which was probably free for them to ship. (The strut is like the size of a large spring), I looked online, like 90% had free shipping) I went to Morgantown Lube service, and quickly got the state inspection passed in 10 minutes. These guys are crooks and just looking to make some quick cash off you, car owners beware!

Highway robbery, I would not recommend these people to anyone, charged me $219 to have a $2 clamp replaced on a flexline going to the turbo, I know this because I checked the price online, my truck was broke down 4.5 miles from their shop and the charged me $200 for the service call and $18 for the clamp. It took them less than ten minutes to install the clamp. Rip off...

Had a boat trailer get a flat on the way home, was the only place I called that would do that . Was here in less than an hour. I can’t thank your place of business enough for being such a great help . You saved our day for us and our Dogs.

If I could give these people no stars I would they just want fast money and beware which parking lots you park in I parked at a apartment building complex parking lot to visit my sister for 30 mins and the whole parking lot was pretty much empty and I wasnt there for even 25 minutes and I look out the window and seen them towing my car away there was no signs saying no parking or if not resident will be towed now if i had takin someones parking spot i would understand but it was an empty parking lot with no signs and now I have to pay 130$ to get my car out and ive been told they have been known for banging cars up while towing so hopefully my car is in the same position when I get it back tomorrow

Towed my jeep and broke in unnecessarily. I had the parking brake disengaged and it was in two wheel drive, both of which were visible from the outside. I could tell they broke in because things were moved around and the drivers door is now messed up.

BEWARE!!!! Bought a new car. It was barely driven and was parked on my street. MUB called Summers because they needed to do work on the road. MUB never contacted me to move my car. Summers towed my car and damaged the bumper. He refused to pay and said I or someone else did the damage. Keep in mind my car was brand new and was 7 days off of the lot. They scratched and damaged underneath my bumper. I had to get an attorney through WVU who is amazing. After a long month of going back and forth, he agreed to pay. Kevin (the owner I believe) is extremely incompetent. Still til this day have yet to receive an apology. I would not recommend Summers Towing to my worst enemy. There are other towing companies in Morgantown. It isnt worth the risk of getting your car damaged, dealing with a less than smart owner, and having to hire an attorney.

Had wrecked my car on West Run Road. (Right beside Summers towing) and made the mistake of calling then because my insurance agent told me to. The tow truck driver arrived 30 minutes later. He got out of his truck seemingly very upset. He spoke to us with disrespect. Lets just say if I wrecked inside Summers towing parking lot I would call Dougs towing to come get my car.

Do not waste your money on a repair from Summers. Most people write reviews about irrelevant characteristics such as such as courteous mechanics or polite behavior. My review is based soley on the service I recieved from this company. I asked to get a gear shift switch changed to prevent my vehicle from beingelectronically stuck in park. The serviceman asked to keep my car overnight until the part comes in the next day. I refused to and to my better judgement the part didnt come in until an entire week. While diagnosing my vehicle I observed them tell a college student female she needed a new catilic converter by two weeks or her car would break down which was a complete lie so this showed me the type of mechanics they were. Later they tried to tell me there was other problems causing the issue my car had which took them 3 hours to diagnose after changing the switch and I would have to be charged for the labor. I rebutted that because I did not ask for that service so they couldnt charge me for that. After recieving my service they did not change my gear shift switch at all they simply put it back in place like I know how to do myself. I will be reporting this company to the better business bureau and suing them for charging me but not completing the services they claim they provided. I have no clue how they are as a towing company but for vehicle repairs they are inadequate.

Helpful people but could be hard to find

So my first time in West Virginia and I was out here on business but had family out around Morgantown. I was spending a few days with them and borrowed my cousins car to drive out to the store. Anyone who knows me understands that I am directionally challenged so I take my phone everywhere. Its a good thing I did, I ended up getting a flat tire of the 79 highway and had really no clue where I really was. Trusty phone in hand I searched Google for a tow and found Summers Towing. Even though I really didnt know where I was they asked me a few basic questions and where able to find me. They came out in about 20 or so minutes and were super nice and friendly. This was a few months ago and I finally got around to leaving a review and noticed some people didnt experience what I experienced.Heres the deal, I dont know if they have stepped up customer service or hired new drivers BUT I would say give these guys a try. Super Cool, Super Friendly, and a Great Expereince

We had a problem with a truck and the person who assisted was very rude, gave me a lousy service, think twice before requesting their service. Unfortunally the deal was made with another company and the send to Summers Towing And Repairs Inc for the service. They didnt want to accept my debit card by phone so I was trying to see another way to pay them. They didnt want to way any minute and they towed my truck to their shop. After that they never answered their cell phone and they charge ur $750 dlls more. Be clever, NEVER call this towing company for a service...

“Cash Only” for payment sounds like tax evasion, pure and simple!

What a joke of a “business”. Not a single person knows what they’re doing. They’re not even deserving of the one star.

Could get them on the Phone

The receptionist was very rude. At one point she asked me if I wanted to call some one else. She treated all my questions like insults. She took all my information then put me on hold, when she came back to the phone she told me she didnt have anyone available.

I’d give less than one star if possible. they took the money up front and proceeded to call and demand another payment. he didn’t have the time to arrive at the vehicle, and he further refused to look for the car further without payment. poor customer service.

I wish I would have read the Google reviews before choosing this Towing Company. This company will rip you off. Charged me $500 for towing a Pick Up Truck and Trailer 8 Miles, 2 1/2 hours total time. Hold onto your wallet!
