I LIKE the Great Escape quite a bit.The brand has been around a LONG time in Nashville and Madison TN, but this location is a newer one.They have comics, both back issue and a smaller selection of new, graphic novels, books, movies, toys, records, and more.The great thing about locations like this is that they grow inventory daily, so there is ALWAYS something new coming in.

As music shops have come and gone across Murfreesboro over the last 15 years, Im glad that The Great Escape has made a successful home to town. As far as music selections go, TGE offers an extensive catalog of vinyl records and CDs, albeit cassette tape offerings are limited. With such extensive offerings, items are presented and organized well for those browsing to find what they are interested with great ease.Alongside these offerings, other media products such as movies ranging from VHS to Blu-ray are available, in addition to comics and toys.While shopping, I noticed that most customers who visited were on good terms with the employees and understood them to be frequent shoppers. It was certainly nice to see how a community has been formed which brings a more overall experience for everyone.

Very nice employees and good selection. I like their vintage ads and postcards. I love going here and browsing. Would definitely recommend this place.

This is by far my favorite place to shop in Murfreesboro! They have an awesome collection of records and they also have toys, movies and comics! I always leave here with something awesome! DEFINITELY a place to check out when you are in the area!

Ok to find..collectors items

They have a great variety of music, movies, comics and other needy things. The only thing I wish they would improve on is their retro games. Its kinda lackluster, but they do have some titles. Either way they still have room to expand upon that! But the employees are nice and its overall a really good place to shop at!

Always a fun stop! Nice deals on books, vinyl and comics. This Great Escape had clerks who were particularly helpful. I found a deal on two oversized Hollywood histories, and could have easily spent more money and another hour browsing! Clean, organized and relaxing experience.

Years later and Great Escape still has a wicked good selection of media through the decades. I drove by and saw the sign and was flooded with memories from ages ago. Pulled in and walked out with a few things I had been searching for for a bit. Love this place.

I come here at least twice a week. The atmosphere is always really neat and the music is always nice. I like the staff here as well; they’re very nice and accommodating. I’m so glad y’all opened up here, you’re my new favorite store!

While I cant say I always find what Im looking for, that isnt the stores fault. Its filled with a ton of classic and modern games, movies, CDs, and comic books that youd never see in any other store nowadays. Plus I always have great conversations with the cool ass employees. And thats all I could ask for.

Interesting book/record store - inventory includes records, DVDs, and of course, comics. Has some junky stuff and old-school too. However, staff was very aloof, unfriendly, unhelpful, and quite honestly, made me uncomfortable and not want to come back. They almost seemed annoyed or irritated by my presence- even though they just stood behind the counter, appearing to do absolutely nothing...

Have made several purchases here and happy with them. They have vinyl records new and used, CD, comics, VD and lots more. Worth a trip.

Went in to sell some stuff that was just taking up space. Staff was super friendly and have me a decent price. The only difficult part was trying not to buy more stuff.

I love this store!!! Helpful and extremely knowledgeable staff combined with a relaxed atmosphere create an enjoyable afternoon or evening of shopping (and trading), every time. While all merchandise is reasonably priced, one can always find tons of 99 cent dvds, cds, and vinyl. I can literally spend hours there! So happy to have this store in our town, at last!

It was pretty cool. I liked that they had some pretty great games for the older games systems. It was pretty clean and everything was nicely spaced out and easy to find.

This is my first time at this location. They have a decent selection of books. I just wish they had more than one person who is knowledgeable about comic books.

This place will have a little bit of everything you could ever want and/or need. Even stuff you didnt know you wanted or needed.

Its basically a small version of mckays in Nashville which is really nice because everything is much easier to find. Love the atmosphere and the people that work there are top notch.

Its just okay. It used to have a great selection, but now its very limited and their prices are too high for used CDs.

Walked in here for a soft openingThey have old vinyls, used games and new and old comics and a small section of toys. Picked up a T shirt and Spiderman comic and got out for less than 15 bucks.Official opening is April 7th.Hopefully it does well.

For a little store it has a lot of variety and reasonable prices. Ive yet to be disappointed by their selection.
