I was on the way for my appointment with an adviser when the driveshaft on my truck broke and came out while driving down the interstate. I called the dealership to let them know I couldnt make it and my advisor (Josh Hernandez) offered to come pick me up. I gladly excepted. I had been in contact with Josh for a couple of days prior to my appointment and he was tentative to my questions and never pressured me in anyway. I recieved the same courtesies in person. I got the vehicle we wanted and we have absolutely loved driving it. The whole experience was easy and stress free. I would gladly recommend this dealership and thanks to Josh Hernandez for his outstanding customer service. I felt he went above the call of duty.

I stopped in a few weeks ago expecting to just look at a car, after working with Cristian I ended up leaving that day with a Mazda 3. Working with Cristian was hands down the best experience Ive ever had buying a car. They mean it when they say there is no hassle and are completely honest and open about everything. Service reps have a great attitude and very nice, but the service it self is VERY slow.Just needed a simple oil change. Arrived on time for appointment and got checked in, then looked at my car sit there for another 20 minutes. Got the message that the inspection was complete about 50 minutes after that so it took over an hr from appointment time just to get inspection done (inspection is awesome thing they do complimentary, but not sure worth it since takes so long). Then took another almost hr to change the oil. Total time for an oil change, even with an appointment, 2 hrs and 15 minutes.
Great service! 🙌Friendly staff who go above and beyond! I drive 30 minutes to there and get great service. Wish I could say that about Coolsprings Mazda. Coolsprings is closer to me but their staff alienate you. I’d go to Murfreesboro anytime!
Everyone was very kind and down to earth. I was very firm on my limits for a new car and not a single person tried to push me to go beyond that. You guys have some of the friendliest staff all the way around.

My son bought a used Mazda from this dealer. Took it in today for an alignment and routine service and they come back and tell him he has 5K in repairs on the front end. Plus the extended warranty they sold him covers none of the repair work. Keep in mind, this car was sold to him in this condition 6 months ago, bad bushing, both struts bent, and control arm bent. Its obvious the car was not in a wreck anytime soon nor has any recent repairs been made....... What a rip off........ Dealer showed a clean car fact and checked out by the dealer before selling it to him. Really bad business......9/921- As a follow up, the GM contacted my son and is working through this mess. We are very appreciative of this step. I hate getting involved in my 21yr olds dealings, but he didnt know what to do or how to handle. We feel Nelson Mazda will do the right thing in this situation. Purchased a car from here and had a really good experience. Purchased extended warranty and paid for the extra protection for exterior paint and interior. Less than 2 weeks later one of the tires is losing air. I take it to the service department where everyone is extremely nice and helpful and discover there is a nail in the tire. I’m quoted a repair cost of $49.95, which I agree to, which I acknowledge was my mistake.I have since discovered several businesses (Discount Tire, Sam’s Club) offer this service for free, even if you didn’t buy tires there. I would think after spending over $30,000 with a company they could do the same.Again, I accept responsibility and it is not Nelson Mazda’s fault my tire went flat, but I would certainly caution anyone contemplating repairs there to compare prices. I certainly will not continue to use there services.
Advertising slogans might or might not mean much but Nelson Mazdas commitment to making the customer experience the best in the business is absolutely happening. I have never had a more enjoyable or easy car buying experience - from test drive to all of the business aspects to delivery and service. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THIS PLACE. The salesman gave us a quote on a car with an approval from the bank. We went to get the money for a down payment and were told when we got there that the price they quoted was for the wrong car. They wanted more money for the down payment then what was quoted on paper. They admitted they made a mistake with submitting paperwork to the bank. Ryan Davis was the salesperson who took the information. His manager was very rude and was trying to switch numbers around. He showed us that the bank had approved the original amount but quickly changed the screen when I saw the number. Their motto NO GAMES is misleading. All they did was talk around the numbers. They wouldnt honor the original price.

This was my first time buying a big girl car and I could not have appreciated more the genuine kindness and patience that the people at this place exhibited. After being exhausted by seemingly insincere, pushy salesmen at other dealerships, Mazda was truly a breathe of fresh air. I must give most of the main props to my Client Advisor, Gary, who made the experience feel like buying a car from a friend. After losing my car and home during the Nashville Tornado back in March, it was paramount that I felt as comfortable as possible while putting pieces back together, and Im so grateful that I found Gary, this dealership, and my wonderful Mazda CX5. Weve been looking for a Mazda 3 Hatchback for a while now. We test drove one a while back and loved it, we just couldnt find one for a good price.Mr John Pate was one of the salespersons I talked to earlier in the month and he said he didnt have any at the time but would call me if anything changed, true to his word he sent me a text as soon as one came off the truck. We talked pricing and rebates we qualified for, I asked him to hold the vehicle and we would make the 90 minute drive and sure enough it was sitting at the front of the dealership when we arrived.Mr. Pate was friendly, and didnt try to squeeze anything out of us.We were very pleased with our trip today and we drove home a 2021 Mazda3.Its a Beautiful car, were really happy with the service we received and the price we paid and the rate we got.5 star experience across the board.
We have not bought a brand new car in 17 years and were really dreading the whole process. Either things have changed a whole lot ( which I dont think they have) or Nelson at Murfreesboro are really exceptional. Our salesman Connor is a very impressive young man. He is knowledgable, honest and made our experience a whole lot more enjoyable that we ever thought possible. This no haggle dealership takes pride in their business and their team. Great service and experience. The dealership is 2+ hours away and before I make the trip, Katherine sent me a thorough video of the vehicle pointing out anything she noticed as if she were buying it. After making the trip and upon inspection noticed what I thought was an issue, however after thorough vetting by several others at the dealership, it was by design and not an issue at all. While all this was going on, Zach overheard me ask if the windshield had been replaced, made a call and got the answer before Katherine has the chance to ask him, thats service! Highly recommend, theyll make it right and wont sell you anything that doesnt meet their standard.

Even though I had an appointment on a Thursday I visited The dealership on a Tuesday just because I could not wait. Even though I knew I probably wouldn’t be able to speak to anyone until my appointment Gary walked out and spent as much time as I needed and we actually close the deal on Tuesday night. He was super knowledgeable shared information with me about the vehicle even took his personal time and stayed after hours so I could purchase a vehicle that evening. I was and still am super impressed and excited about the purchase and my experience. The company as a Christian-based company The experience was not pushy they helped me out so so much. Gary’s team was also very professional. Again, if I could give them 20 stars or more I would. They’ve given me comfort knowing that I can call or drop by at any time and ask questions. Update 5 July 2021 - General Manager contacted me shortly after leaving the previous review and appropriately addressed my issues in a timely manner. I am updating my review to 3/5.Absolutely unacceptable experience purchasing a used vehicle from this dealership! I never write reviews but this one has to be done. Contacted dealership the morning of May 18th 2021 and ended up paying a $1000 deposit over the phone to secure the car; we live over 2.5hrs away so once all the formalities were complete I was assured that the car had been through the service shop and was ready to go. 3-4 hours later we arrive at the dealership and the car is basically undrivable- misfiring so badly I wasnt sure we were going to make it back from the test drive. They make us wait another 3 hrs to replace spark plugs and wires, also the alignment was horrible (which they did fix while we were waiting) and the tires were worn uneven and dry rotted. After I got home I then realized they sold me a car in the middle of summer with a leaky AC service port and low on refrigerant. They then take over a month to get the paperwork out so I could get a tag for the car so I end up not being able to even drive the car (called week prior and was assured I would get another temp tag but that never happened). To top it all off and this is the reason I am writing this review, they screwed up the taxes on the loan application - send my bank a check for the amount charged written to my local tag office in AL which its no surprise is the wrong amount. My DMV tells me they cannot process the overpayment so I write a personal check instead thinking it would be easy to sort out with the dealership later....WRONG! Now they are holding over $200 hostage telling me to go back to my DMV to ask for refund/payout on a tag I already purchased over a week ago with my own money?! Who in their right mind would even think for a second that would be worth the time waiting in line to get a stupid look from whichever DMV person I would run into over there?? Absolutely ridiculous experience from a Mazda dealership! 0 STARS!
I was pleased by everything at Nelson Mazda. Sean Turner is an exceptional representative to the Nelson Mazda family. He was customer driven and a real chill gent to converse with! They are salary paid employees and have no commission to pursue. So you will have a representative that is looking to what YOU are wanting in a car! Pertaining to my trade in and purchase, he was a go-getter and fulfilled all of my needs and inquiries. It was the very least stressful time Ive had purchasing an automobile. If you dont want the hassle of seeing several people for a purchase and want one representative to do business with and get the car you want, look no where else but Nelson Mazda!
First of all the transparency and honesty was incredible, out of this world. The car market right now is very difficult in terms of finding the car you want/need and the unbelievable markups that are out there (5K, 10K, 20K in TN). I needed to upgrade my vehicle so I could fit my growing family and was hearing that people were paying those high markups around the state with other brands. Car dealers ferociously taking advantage of customers.. BUT NOT Nelson Mazda! where I felt true values of honesty and integrity seem to be the norm. I didnt know what to expect given how the market is right now. I was totally surprised and blown away as I got a very good price for a signature CX9 that me and my family are very happy with. No markups no surprises everything very straight forward, fast and easy as agreed remotely. My trade in was very well valued and was offered top dollars for it. Thank you for holding to your values and not giving in due to how the market is right now. John Pate did an excepcional job as the salesperson. No pushing and ready to answer my questions. I was in and out of meetings that day and texting was my best way of communication and he was giving me the information I requested via text and e-mail which is something other places dont do and I appreciate very much. The purchasing transaction also was flawless. Josh Hernandez did an outstanding job with explaining me everything about the car and with the set up of the app and answering all my questions about the car at the end. Kudos for modern, 21st century honest, simple and transparent car purchasing experience. Loved it, best car buying experience Ive had. I am a car enthusiast. I own some of the best cars our there. Mazda is a thrilling, safe and fun car to drive either in the city or a long trip. I own several Mazda vehicles. We have chosen them over cars that cost more than double and offer so much more in drivability, cost of operation and looks! Hard to compare an expensive Audi to a CX9. I know. I have a Cx9 and would not trade it for an expensive Volvo or Audi. Just check out the comparisons. So, not to be long winded, I pray Ive shared our enthusiasm and values accurately. Mazda all the way except I may not sell my XJ50 Jaguar!The level of personal care. The team makes it effortless to trade, finance and take delivery. They take pristine cave of my wife!! I love that. Randy and Sean have created the perfect car buying experience. We love our Mazda’s!

Worst experience ever! Bought a car in the winter and never turn on the A/C . When it started getting hot found out the condenser was broken😱.. called them and they wanna charge me to get it fixed.. terrible terrible terrible. Poor customer service. Would never do business with them ever.

I drove 9 hours from Ohio to Murfreesboro to pick up my dream car, a 2009 Mazda MAZDASPEED3. My salesman, Josh, was very honest, straightforward, and helped to ease my fears of buying an older car out of state. I vetted the car for three weeks over the phone to be CERTAIN that this was the right one. Josh sent me lots of videos and was very patient answering my MANY questions even though I wasn’t buying a high sticker price vehicle.As a young car buyer, being treated with respect and not being talked down to as if I can’t afford the vehicle I’m looking at was a very refreshing feeling. I had called many dealerships previously during my search and they all left me not wanting to give them my business.The car was to be sold as is, but it was missing a wheel. I shared my concern with Josh that driving the 500 miles home on a spare would be very dangerous and they hooked me up with a set of great looking wheels from a 2013 MAZDASPEED3.I think it is worth noting that your salesman at Nelson Mazda takes you through the whole buying process so you don’t get juggled around to different people. That is not something I have ever seen at my local dealerships.I was also very surprised that they even offered me a warranty for a 2009 with 77k miles, so that added another level of peace of mind. I have had the car for over two weeks. I drove it around quite a bit before putting it away for the winter. Everything is looking amazing so far. I feel that I made the right choice and I am super happy with my experience!

Went to Cool Springs Nelson and looked at a car that I did not buy.. I liked the business model enough to shop their On line and found the right truck. It was at the Murfreesboro store. My salesman Daniel did everything with Covid and my time in mind.. I bought the truck with a broken windshield and that was fixed at my house.. they have a great thing going on
Im just gonna go ahead and thank Zach Puckett for getting me in so quickly and finding me a loaner late in the day when the A/C went out on my mx-5. Also for dealing with my questions as Im a auto tech elsewhere and I know we are a pain. Also good job to the tech Jerry Barnes for diagnosing and fixing it quickly and providing a thorough video inspection. I appreciate it you gave me the service I expected buying a newer low mileage car. Appreciate it.

I enjoyed buying my car from Nelson Mazda Murfreesboro. I had been looking for a few weeks after doing months of research and found my CX-5 online. I made an appointment with Connor Anderson and went for a test drive, fell in love with the car and bought it immediately, the entire process was about 90 minutes. It was the easiest car purchase I have ever made. Connor has been great to work with and the One Person/No Haggle/No Pressure philosophy works well for me. After all my internet searching I felt that I was paying a fair price for the vehicle and that I was given a fair value trade-in too. I will continue my relationship with Nelson Mazda for vehicle service and have high hopes the Service Department can live up to high bar that has been set. I would buy from Nelson Mazda again and have already encouraged car-shopping friends to check them out.

I came in for 30K service. They found a thorn in the sidewall of my tire with a slow leak and since all 4 were showing definite signs of needing to be replaced, Lonnie (my favorite service guy of all time!) fixed me up with new tires for what I considered a good price.As usual, the inspection and work done on my car by your technicians was great. I still wish I didnt have to drive to Murfreesboro, but I would not take my car anywhere else. Always great service and at my age, this may be the last car I buy, so I appreciate the care and feeling of being treated like family.I also appreciated the cleaning efforts and masks worn due to COVID. I waited for my car and felt very safe.Thanks again for all you do for me. See you in another 5K or 6 months, whichever comes first!
Had a buddy of mine go and wanted to test drive a car before purchasing it, but they didn’t let him test drive because they profiled him and denied it. He went out to another dealership who didn’t judge him and he bought it from them. Honesty disgusting that they would treat people like that
We literally just left this dealership for the 3 time. Each time with the intention on buying a car. Each time they look at us and we never got helped! We are on our way to another dealership and will NEVER be back!
Nelson Mazda in Murfreesboro has the best customer service. You are like family and not a customer. My experience with Randy (GM) is precedent. Hes very patient, helpful, transparent and caring. My car needs a lot of work and even though its more there than other competitors I know Randy has my back. Jacob who was my service advisor and hes very knowledgeable about cars and he was very honest. Hes also caring and professional. I will always bring my car there and tell others.
My wife and I expected it would take a few hours to make the purchase of a car for our family. But power Mazda salesman, Kerry, Nelson Mazda Murfreesboro location made the process of super easy and as quick as possible! Not knowing if we would even be able to find a Mazda 6 with the specifications we desired, Kerry found the perfect fit. We felt comfortable and welcomed during our entire visit and left very pleased. Ive had some issues with the Cool Springs location of Nelson Mazda in the past so my expectations for this one were already pretty low. In spite of that, they still managed to provide a disappointing experience for what should have been a rather simple purchase.At the end of the day theyre just another dealership. It doesnt matter how much they talk about being different, how much they care about their customers, or how easy their process is supposed to be -- their real goal is to just tell you whatever lie they think you want to hear.They say something will only take an hour? At least double that. Have a question or concern about something? Good luck getting in contact with someone that will even listen, much less help.The service department seems much better at this location at least so thats worth mentioning.
Polite and professional interactions every step of the way. Purchasing a car over the web was a new experience. Being able to take my time to read the paperwork and not be rushed into a major purchase was a very positive experience and I will consider doing it in the future.
