I’ve been really impressed with this shop. The brakes on our Ford Freestar were less responsive than they should be and the check engine light was on. It didn’t like to idle either. Another mechanic couldn’t identify the issue.Mechanic Man was able to determine there was a faulty power brake booster, which was also causing the check engine light and poor idling behavior. They jumped through hoops to find a replacement and have it shipped in. Replacing this solved all the issues our van was experiencing!They’re just really nice and exceptionally competent in their profession!No shop is perfect (whatever that means anyway), but the Mechanic Man is just what we all need when it comes to a mechanic shop! I’ll be a repeat customer for sure!!

I called about my Chevy cavalier and an error code I had gotten through a diagnostic test at AutoZone. They were so helpful over the phone, gave me a good price estimate for what could potentially be used to find the problem and gave me options to try and fix it before I had to bring it in. I dont get paid until Thursday so having other options really helps, and if it doesnt work Im definitely bringing my car to them to take a look at. I appreciate their kindness even through my fumbling through questions because know absolutely nothing about cars. They were knowledgeable and helpful.

The place was easy to find in heart of Murray. Price was comparable for an an alignment compared to other places. Their waiting room had the feeling of an old mom and pop establishment, with a nice old dog. Candy, 3D prints, home made masks, key chains, windshield liquid, emergency car kits for sale. Also had propaganda item samples and calendars laying around from other vendors. Free water and fruits available for clients waiting. It had a key drop box and a ding doorbell for after hours drop off.

Ive had my vehicles serviced here for a few years. The Mechanic Man is easy going and no pressure. Steve road around with me to diagnose the clicking sound. After a ride around the block he know exactly what it was. Scott quoted me a price for parts and work and estimated 3 hours of shop time. In the end the diagnostic was correct and they were able to get the exact same parts he quoted for less saving $100, they were also able to get the work done in under 3 hours. Great work and Thank you! No more clicking sound!

I called up TMM to ask about an alignment after being referred by Discount Tires. They provided a very competitive price and were able to see me in 2 hours, which was nice to hear. I got there a little early, but they started on my car right away. After 30 minutes, (I believe his name was) Steve took me aside and told me my car was already aligned about as good as possible, with a slight drag on my steering wheel being from a seized section of my real axle and perhaps a control arm in front. I wasnt charged for the alignment, only a $20 setup fee to put it in the garage and basically diagnose.Couldnt be much happier with the experience. Im not a car person, but things were explained to me in a laymans terms and Steve was very personable. I could have easily been charged the full amount, but got a deal without even asking. Decent location, cool little small-town shop vibe on the inside in the waiting room. A-A+ experience. Thanks, guys.

A month sitting in the shop. I had to order plug caps. Other than that tires were done rectifier was put on. Nothing else was done. I paid a fair price for the work done and wanted to have my bike sent back to my garage. Upon arrival four days later I noticed a dent in my tank and it was not put back together properly underneath the tank. I did leave a voice message about the dent. The call was returned saying it would be looked into. That was Monday. Today is Friday.....

Very friendly and quick to get the job done. Work is done correctly. No extra things to get done or pay for. And they always call before starting the work to verify what is wrong and what you want to do. No pressure for more than needs to be done.

I have been associated with Mechanic Man for several years. They are very honest and forthright with their work. They tell you those things you should do to your vehicle but dont force the issue. Honest guy, (I think it was Steve) there was more issues then originally quoted but with how much damage there was to my vehicle I could totally understand.Even took me back there to show me all the parts and how banged up they were. Would highly recommend him and his team, they definitely made quick work of it as well seeing how busy they were when I brought it in.

Scott is super friendly and honest. I went in for an alignment, and they let me know that it wouldnt do much good for tire wear to get an alignment without getting the upper control arms and a tire rod end fixed first. They didnt charge me and gave me a good price too get it all fixed.

He failed to tell me if it was more than he quoted me and I did Not have 800 from 100 so they charged me 40 just to check my alignment. RIP OFF!!

We took our car in for a second opinion and repair today and they were very honest. The mechanic showed us a variety of things that can be repaired and told us which ones were high priority and which ones weren’t. I appreciated this because it helps us make decisions that help our car and our budget. It is wonderful to find a mechanic who you can trust.

He is vigilant in taking care of my 2010 Ford Focus and always gives me the best price and never cheats me out of money. Most recently he replaced my driving axle and all four of my wheel bearings. This guy is the most honest and helpful mechanic I have ever taken my car to. On at least three occasions he has fixed a little problem on my car for no charge. Or has fixed something small and then told me to drive it for a few days to see if it is fixed and then come back and pay him. I recommend him to everyone I know.

Honest, hard work

I had an unfortunate experience getting my breaks done here. Engine cover and air intake were left unsecured after work was performed. Had to return to the shop to get clips to re-secure the parts. Honest mistake but sloppy nonetheless. Owner seems like a nice guy but absolutely refused to refund any labor performed and inconvenience caused. Difference of opinion I suppose. Although the break rotors and pads were replaced, the car breaks unevenly to the passenger side and I will not be servicing my car here again.Edit: I had to get the break job The Mechanic Man performed fixed at another shop because it was done improperly. Im lived because I basically wasted ~$400 and a lot of time. These guys give mechanics a bad reputation so please DO NOT support their business.

I went to this place for an alignment, because I thought I will save 30$, since the price was 69.99$, best price around. My rating is this:- 1 star for customer service: I felt like they really did not want my business, no sorry for the delay, no I hope you will come back..nothing- 1 star for time management: I went there at the time my appointment was, 30 min later, still my car was outside-1 star for location: kinda ghetto- 1 star for inside: old, very oldConclusion: I will go somewhere else, too many flags. I hate rating low, but this place did not do it right by me.

My truck broke down in Salt Lake while on a trip from Idaho. We took the truck too then first thing on Friday morning. By that afternoon they had the initial problem fixed and had found another problem. He was apologetic that he couldnt get me back on the road that day. We made an arrangement to have to truck fixed by Monday afternoon at 4. We picked up the truck and were back on the road at 4:15. He called me with frequent updates and prices throughout the process. I found him to be honest, well priced, and good at communication. Id recommend him.

I started using Mechanic Man when I was given a coupon from Discount Tire for alignments. I found them honest and have used them to do all my alignments for the last 5 years. As I have had other needs I have inquired if they could do those services as well. Each time I was given an affirmative reply. They know that I like to do services that I as a home mechanic can, and so they often have diagnosed my problem, and then let me do the repairs. In the last 3 months I have had three different cars, a Honda, Hyundai, and Ford into them. Each time they have either repaired it or given me the solution. I am so thankful for the honest straight forward communication I have with Scott. Its been a great experience each time. Thanks for your continued help and service.

I have given this group several chances and they just dont get it! They quote a fair price however they communicate very poorly. All three times they tried to charge me more than the quote in addition to not working on the items requested. Polite people I guess just must not care to be very competitive. They do know how to align though

Went to the mechanic man for an alignment. They did a wonderful job, and charged me what we had discussed! The receptionist noticed that I was pregnant and we talked about it. About a month later she came to my house and brought me a blanket that looked hand made. It totally blew my mind. The business and the people are absolutely amazing.

After getting new tires on my 15 Subaru Outback, I went to The Mechanic Man for an alignment at the recommendation of the tire shop. Seventy bucks later I departed with a car that pulled hard to the right and new scratches on the rear bumper. LESSON LEARNED!Later I took the car to my local Subaru dealer to have it properly aligned. Ill keep the scratches as a reminder not to frequent this business.

I generally hate to use dealers for my car repairs due to excessive cost and unnecessary procedures. I really prefer a competent, ethical independent mechanic. For me, Mechanic Man is exactly that. Scott, the owner, is honest, competent, and friendly. Most of the time, they fit me in the day I call, and get the job done right for a considerable savings over the dealer. I have been using them for over 10 years on multiple cars. There is the occasional situation where they struggle a bit, trying to find the right fix for the more difficult problem. I would rather put up with that than pay premium prices for pushy dealers, who would probably struggle anyway.

I would not go back there end up with more problems

We went here to get an alignment done. And they told us the wheel bearings were bad. Then we went to Les Schwab and they told us that the wheel bearings were fine. We went back and Scott said he was never wrong and then looked at the truck again and noticed that he was wrong. Then after they did the alignment it was worse than when I took it in the first time. WORST SERVICE EVER! EMPLOYEES DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. NEITHER DOES THE OWNER. NEVER GOING BACK.

Have taken several cars here for various types of repairs over the years and have always been pleased with the service and value. The last one was an expensive repair and a difficult diagnosis which only happened intermittently. It wasnt quite right the first time so I called and they were committed to making it right. I took it back and left it a few days so they could drive it enough to repeat the problem. Even thought the second shot required additional parts and labor I wasnt charged anything additional and the car runs great again. Good people and good value. I had another shop I trust give me an estimate on the original work and the price was about 30% higher.

Friendly and capable mechanics but I found their prices high and options limited.

Inept mechanics.I went there for an alignment, the mechanic left tools on my suspension that resultes in lots of weird noises going down the road...Then u also found they failed to tighten down my upper control arm adjusting bolts.I was nice and brought their tools back and gave them a second chance, however they could still not get it figures out...In the end their inept mechanics resulted in frame damage to my truck.$500 and a very skilled welder later...IMO, any mechanic that cant get a simple alignment figured out on a chevy is worthless.Avoid!

I was skeptic since it had a couple bad ratings. I called down and talked to Scott. I asked about an alignment pricing and said discount tire sent me which saved me 10$ from 60$ which I would have paid the 60$. then I asked about there times when would it be a good idea to come down and he said normally we do appointment but the alignment machine was open I called @3:45pm he said they close at 6:00pm so if I could get down there by 4:00pm they will squeeze me in, cool I head down there arrived @4:05pm and walk in to this old town style mechanic shop. Was greeted by 2 different people 1 of them being Scott. He took my info. And gave my keys to a fellow mechanic, I sat in there checking out the fish & cool trinkets he had by time I went to sit here comes my van pulling out so I thought great there is a problem and now they cant align it, so the mechanic comes in and says I advise you to get new front tires. That was it 20 minutes later my van was done, other alignment shops take hours/days/weeks sometimes. I have an old 94 van with worn suspension and he was able to get her back straight & true wow!!wow!! I didnt know my van could drive so smooth. Thanks you guys I have told everyone about your awesome work. 1 more thing I was originally told to go to russs alignment shop and they are booked out to the 27th of June and they do not take walk inns. So for the quickest alignment and service same price as russs I think I am going back to the mechanic man thanks for reading

Horrible dishonest guy. Agrees with you all day to your face and then behind your back lies to make him a buck/save a buck. Never ever take your car here unless youre entering it into a demo-derby. I watched him hit 3 vehicles while on his property in a 1hr time period. Id be really surprised if those customers got calls
