After having rented a unit for 4 months, I received notice that my monthly rent was increasing - by nearly DOUBLE (ok, it was just over 70%, but still). Apparently they have a data science team that is dedicated to figuring out exactly how much they can increase the monthly rent and still have you stay; after all, its a pain to have to move, so maybe the increased rent isnt really that bad, right?? Moral of the story - if you rent here, be prepared for absurd rate increases that are supposedly due to current market conditions. Spoiler alert - they arent.Edit: Thanks for the response ESS, but I did call, prior to making my decision to leave your facility. And heres what I learned by talking to your employees: They were not surprised at all; in fact, I was told that this is standard practice for your company, and that a lot of customers complain about and ultimately leave due to the unreasonable rate increases. Its your business model and thats fine, but people deserve honesty about what to expect when doing business with you.Your rates are not competitive. You can continue to claim that they are, but its simply not the case. I moved to another facility only a few minutes away, and at a lower rate than what I was initially paying at your site. So, in the end I suppose I should thank you. Im now at a nicer, cleaner, climate controlled facility paying less than what I was originally paying with you.

Very friendly treatment of people and everything very easy to do from the app with a lot of security and a good price.

I leased a 5x10 inches storage for about 7 months. The size was well enough for the temporal storage of all my belongings during my internship.Good location via I-20 from Salt Lake City. Thomas, the store manager, is greatly supportive for explaining the system and usage of the storage. Not only for local residents, this storage is also good for an international student like me who needs a temporal storage since his explanation is crystal clear.

Customer service was great.Very clean units.Was concerned about rates, and large moving trucks might have difficulty moving between buildings.Over all security is worth the costs!

I have 2 units (11x13) in Murray, Utah. The service at the from counter is excellent. All my interactions have resulted in great information and a positive customer experience. The units were clean when transitioned to me. Security is good. The Entrance/Exit system with the separate touchpads (no exit sensors) inhibits access by unauthorized individuals. I really like my climate controlled indoor storage unit. Very clean and secure place. Only problem I have had was a rate increase after one year without notice. I get emailed everymonth after they charge my credit card. But, no email indicating the rate increase. When I called the local office, they said that they sent a postcard via snail mail.

First time renting a storage unit. Was not sure what to expect but Martha made it so simple and was friendly and welcoming the moment I arrived. Martha was nice and so very helpful, I asked her many questions, even changed my mind on the unit I had requested and she helped me find the unit I felt comfortable with. She made my experience so wonderful and easy, I would go back just to work with her again, even though I only needed one unit. They seem to take such good care of their facility and customers,it been a pleasure to work with her so far. The unit was clean and even less than I originally thought. This is a Good place to do business with good people.

It was easy to make a reservation and get moved in, but we were disappointed by the extra fees that were not disclosed until we were there at the location and ready to put everything in storage. Locks do not come with the unit; you buy them for another $18, and renters insurance was another $11-45 monthly on top of that depending on the value of the items in your storage unit. Pleased with the ease of the move, but quite disappointed that the total cost was significantly more than what we were prepared to pay.

This is my first Storage experience and first time meeting Martha (the most amazing manager). I don’t think I will ever change storage company while she is the one managing them. I am thoroughly satisfied with the service they provide, and the professionalism Martha has had in a constant basis.I know there are plenty of options out there but I guarantee you won’t regret this one.

They are pleasant, accommodating and do their best to make sure they ask the right questions so they can help meet your needs. Weve been storing business documents at Extra Space Storage in Murray for a couple of years (since late-2012). We have some interior units that have been great for us. Why do we love them? Today they were out of the wind. Other times theyve been out of the cold or hot.The whole place is always clean. Particularly inside the storage building is kept very nice. They have a cart available for us to use to haul boxes when we need to.The manager, Josh, is always so pleasant to talk with, and interested in my experience there, despite my only visiting a few times each year.We chose this location because it was convenient to the I-15 and I-215 freeways and that convenience has remained a great point for us.Ive been happy with the service and security here, and loos forward to more years working with them.

I have rented 2 storage units from Extra Space Storage and had a very good experience. I had to rent for over 1 year. My treasures were safe and secure in the facility I rented from. It was an indoor one and nothing was damaged or dusty. I found the manager of the facility to be very knowledgeable and easy to work with. All in all, it was a great experience. I would definitely recommend Extra Space Storage.

We are relocating across country and our moving company threw us a curve ball. The moving company my husbands company hired told us we would have 15 days free storage when the shipment arrived. We based our travel plans on that information. One week after our belongings were packed and gone they called us to let us know that 15 days no longer existed. So, we had to find a storage company to receive our shipment without us being present. My husband called companies and was told yes and then no and yes then no by several storage companies. I called Extra Space Storage and Martha in Salt Lake City, UT was very helpful. We were visiting with family in Alabama when we learned we either had to change our travel plans or find a storage company. Martha arranged for us to meet with Peyton in Auburn, AL about an hour away so we could sign the documents for the storage. Once this was done Martha in Salt Lake called me to finalize the details. I paid for a key over the phone and she will there when our shipment arrives. It was so nice to find a company that was professional and did what they said they would. My experience with Extra Space storage exceeded my expectations! The storage unit was SUPER clean and easy to access in our 16 moving truck! After a long move across two states, it was so nice to arrive and unload the truck with ease. The facility had wheeled carts available to use and a very clean bathroom thats unlocked after hours. We only needed the unit for a week and the rental agent we spoke with gave us a great deal for a short term lease. Every employee I spoke with was exceptionally friendly and made the whole experience easy. I will definitely use ExtraSpace again!

We needed a quality storage space that would be a cut above the rest. Josh took the time to help us pick the type of storage that was right for our needs and then quickly and politely processed us. Throughout the past year, if we had any concerns about access, security, or conditions, Josh was fast and efficient at handling our concerns. After a full year at this location, we just re-upped for another year and Josh once again handled all of our requirements and concerns in his usual friendly first-rate manner. We got a climate control unit close to a door in the main building with great hours of access...They have all sizes and prices and we are month-to-month so no long term commitment....! I had only rented the unit for one week before I was robbed. No lights, a broken chain link fence that can be pulled down and stepped over, no alarm system and no cameras except for by the front gate make extra space storage on cottonwood street in murray a perfect place for criminals to relieve you of your belongings.Also, the manager was rude and unhelpful when I came to look over the crime scene.
