Ive taken my daughter to them for a few years now (the Walmart on Seaboard location). She sees the lady doctor, which is great! But I have to say Karen in the office there is absolutely amazing! She is always so helpful and nice!

My visit with Dr. Bittner was very pleasant. He took his time, and was very thorough! Dr. Bittner’s staff was friendly with great customer service.

Dr. Bittner referred me to a different ophthalmologist due to continuing eye pressures from glaucoma. My pressures remained too high even with eye drops.His referral MD lasered both eyes, pressures decreased dramatically. Dr. Bittner has helped me retain my vision by prompt intervention.

New Patient appointment, needing exam and new glasses. To be very honest, Dr. Bittner is one of the BEST doctors, I have ever been to, as a patient. The staff is kind, funny and professional. They treat you as a person and not a numbered patient. The office setting and selection display is BEAUTIFUL. Dr. Bittner educated me on my vision and concerns. I was having symptoms that were concerning and feared they would be exacerbated with dilation. I also never had my eyes dilated. He was WONDERFUL is reassurance and trust. The dilation did subside some symptoms for quite sometime, as he suggested. He gave me a home regiment that was clear, sensible and would help lead to correction issues. I recommend them to anyone in the area. Facility was clean, sanitized after each patient and they went above and beyond to help ensure my personal budget needs were explained prior to treatment and options. I truly appreciated that, as we all know, many places will not inform you of surprised after cost. I enourage all needing eye care to see them as I will and my family will be making a switch to them as well. Highly recommended.

I’ve been a patient for 10 years. Super kind, extremely knowledgeable and professional. He nails my prescription, every year, for bifocal contacts as I have extremely poor eyesight. Thankful for Dr. Bittner!

I had my eyes examined Sept 2019 because I had recently moved into the state and needed the eye exam to get my drivers license. The doctor visit itself was fine. I was told my bill was $85 which I paid in full. It was after the visit where the problems arose. I was charged for procedure that I was not informed that I would be charged for. I was sent a bill without showing that I already paid my bill. I called. After 45 minutes to an hour discussion, I paid what was the remaining amount we agreed upon of $44 . That happened in March 2020. Today I get another bill showing I’ve paid absolutely nothing. When it comes time for my next exam, I’m will be going somewhere else.I refuse to trust someone with the care of my eyes who can’t handle simple billing.

I had a very difficult prescription with lenses for eyes that were not straight. At the time I figured there was little that could be done to correct it. Dr. Benjamin took a lot of time to get the prescription just right. The glasses were perfect first time and I am very satisfied. I recommend him highly for his skill and knowledge of difficult prescriptions.

Dr. Bittner is a very knowledgeable, thorough, and personable Optometrist. Your first eye examination can be overwhelming, only knowing that youre suffering with blurry vision but not sure what the right questions are or what to expect. Dr. Bittner outlined all of my concerns, prescription, and the overall health of my eyes. You leave the office with confidence knowing you have a better understanding! Im excited to see that he has a new practice and cant wait to schedule a visit when I am back in town visiting.

This was the best experience I have ever had having my eyes checked. The ladies in the office were knowledgeable about my insurance and found a way for me to get an extra pair of glasses at a discount. Dr. Bittner was very patient and explained all the procedures that I had done. This is the best place to come for a vision check.

I went to see Dr. Bittner to his new office and I was pleasantly surprised. It looks very clean, modern and elegant. He also, has a nice selection of frames.The staff was very welcoming. That isnt the Dr. Bittner I saw at Sams Club - number one. Some other guy is there. The face mask is silly, my glasses fogged up and it handicaps my visit - number two. The focus on insurance (I have cash) and a medical card (whatever that is) ....... I didnt feel confortable being there. Plus, I didnt sleep well last night and wasnt in the mood for shenanigans. Going back to Sams Club.

I havent been to many eye doctors in the past but considering the odd issues Im having with my eyes I expected to walk in and be talked over. I was very pleasantly surprised to find the doctor and his colleagues to all be very patient, kind and in no rush at all, I left feeling heard and they took the time to explain my options to me rather than just closing out a sale. Its nice to not feel like a product on an assembly line especially when what youre coming in for is out of the ordinary. I would definitely recommend this place.

I have been going to Dr.Bittner for 8 years. He found s problem with my eyes that no previous doctor had ever discovered. If he had no found it I would have had diminished vision in both eyes. He is a wonderful doctor and most importantly a wonderful human being who greatly cares for people. Too bad that people with petty problems write negative reviews. I cannot praise Dr. Bittner enough and I thank God I found him.

Dr Bittner is the most thorough optometrist I have ever been to. He takes far more time making sure things are right than any other optometrist I have EVER been to.He treats us a patients as if he were an MD and has a very deep knowledge of the eye that goes beyond just prescribing lenses. Personally his knowledge is phenomenal. He does not rush and looks far deeper than the surface for any issues. If I could give 10 stars I would. I can get this service at no cost but I would have to use a different optometrist and that is not an option.

Dr. Bitter saved my sight!A friend recommended Dr. Bittner when we moved here in 2013. In Charlotte we had gone to ophthalmologist but found Dr. Bitter was as thorough as any and super nice. At my last eye exam he advised me to come back in 3 months as there were some changes in my eyes he wanted to recheck. It wasnt quite time to go back but my eyesight was noticeably worse and we were moving out of state and wanted Dr. Bittner to check before we left. On July 1, first day at his new office, Dr. Bitter found I had a torn or detached retina. He called Dr. Doering at Coastal Eye and sent me over where Dr. Doering confirmed a detached retina. He sent me to Georgetown Hospital where that night he preformed emergency surgery. Thanks to Dr. Bitter for his thorough eye exam!. I definitely recommend him! I hunted for Dr. Bittner when he left Costco, they wouldnt tell me where he had taken his business. It wasnt hard. This is a good guy people. I came to him when I about ruined my eyelid with termite treatment product. I know, not real bright. Lesson people, always wear protective eye gear.Dr. Bittner, if he has one flaw, hes too nice. He deeply cares about his clients and anyone who knows him feels it.Hes also a good Doctor. Rather then send me for a 200. Prescription, we looked for a generic alternative, same damn thing.I hate negative reviews from petty people over petty things. If youve been legitimately wronged, yelp away, but this guy doesnt deserve it.Im glad I know him, glad to be in his care and am not going anywhere else, ever. Not if I can help it. And what I especially love? He has no idea hes being reviewed, unlike business that ask for reviews.

I went to Dr. Bittners office at the Sams Club in Myrtle Beach on May 31. It has been OVER 3 months since my initial exam and I STILL not received the correct contacts. I was told when I left the office they sh/be in in a few weeks. I called several times to follow up only to find out they were never ordered the first time and that woman no longer worked there. They were ordered on June 28 which by this time I had had the contacts they sent me home w/ for 2 months in my eyes. I was told they would send me a substitute pair that was in the office until mine came in. After another 2 weeks I still did not receive any contacts. Michelle took another pair to the post office and I finally received them on Aug. 6. On Aug 15, I called and the lady said my contacts were in and she would mail them to me. I texted Michelle on Aug 31 to let her know I still had not received the contacts. On Sept 5, I texted Michelle again and found out she had forwarded my Aug 31 text to Dr. Bittners wife and that she no longer worked there. There is no reason it sh/take OVER 3 months to get a pair of contacts. It is appalling that an eye doctor would allow his patient to wear contacts over 2 months without making sure she had new ones within the recommended 30 day time period. I have now been wearing this pair of contacts for a month and have no idea when or IF I will ever get the correct leases.
