It is weird when a repair shop doesnt even want to give a estimate. I brought my car in due to some cosmetic damage, and SilverRock (the dealers repair handler) sent us to Gerber. But the estimator keep pushing me away and not wanting the business. In the end he reluctantly said he will get the estimate together. That was 2 weeks ago and I still havent received that yet, neither does SilverRock. I have to take my business somewhere else. Dont bring your car in if you expect service. Very strange place and extremely rude customer service.
Great work and amazing customer service. I had a grrrreat experience
Work performed on time and they did a nice job. Kept informed of progress with daily text updates.
Alway a first class experience at Gerber and the staff is awesome. The manger Tony has always gone above and beyond!
In total distraught due to Walmart cart attendant scratching my new Mercedes CLA 250 with cart machine. I walked into Gerber Collision in Naperville on Ogden and Nick took care of me right away!! Very pleasant and put my mind at ease. Awesome customer service. Everyone should come here!!
Im not speaking to the work that we had done. The repairs were fine. I am however reviewing the costumer service or lack there of. Im not exactly sure how hard it is to be friendly and respectful. Stephanie who I think is the manager was so rude on the phone. I dont know if a customer service course or phone skill course is need to be taken but something should be done to retrain her. We received text messages stating our car would be finished on Friday. We just got a call from Gerber saying our car will be done at 5 today (Thursday) and we need to pick it up by 530 today. Listen people have schedules work personal and other. Please dont call me less than two hours before demanding I pick up my car by 530 because of some insurance crap. I also dont think its very pleasant to demand anything when youre dealing with customer service. We will never come back here for repairs. Id rather take my business somewhere where we are treated with respect and our business is appreciated.
So far, so good. Waiting to hear if they can fix my car. Employees very friendly. Very helpful when my own insurance company was not!
WORST place I have ever been too. I ended up having to go somewhere further away. And didn’t even mind paying extra to fix their mistakes !!!! Not professional, the owner is by far the worst.
Ive brought two cars to Gerber for auto body work and Ive been pleased with the service and workmanship. Most recently, they swapped out a bumper cover on my Jeep Wrangler and a side lamp. It was a simple and inexpensive job. Even so, Gerber went the extra step by washing the car and cleaning the interior.
I will avoid all Gerber Collision like the plague after my experience with them. My insurance company made me come here after a hit and run. Gerber did a horrible job replacing the parts and paint job. I understand they get to use used parts on an older car, but putting parts that are scratched and damaged on my car as a REPAIR? Come on. The paint job on my hood had visible nicks and streaks. I complained to my insurance company and Gerber responded by putting *slightly* better parts on my car and redid the paint job. The paint has now completely failed only in the areas Gerber painted and looks terrible. The paint job on the rest of my car looks fine, I wish they had never touched my car. Im dumping my insurance company over this, and the fact that they sent me to a repair shop with absolutely horrible service.
The shadiest company ever. Wouldnt hand back car they took apart without signing an agreement absolving them from any blame if car wasnt put back together properly. STAY AWAY
We got into a wreck and needed repairs ASAP. We were referred to the Naperville Gerber Collision shop and they were great. They stayed in contact with us throughout the process and the work was very high quality. The turnaround time was less than two weeks, which is impressive for the amount of damage sustained. I cant speak to the price because it was covered by insurance, but in terms of quality, professionalism, and service, I highly recommend this shop.
Nancy was awesome took my car in did a great Job thank you so much.
After a bad car accident and then severe hail damage, Gerber did an outstanding job with my car. They made it easy and dealt with my insurance company with any issues or questions. They went above and beyond taking care of some additional scratches not related to the accident. Thank you for such great service!!!
Called Gerber through my insurance because my back window shattered. An installer came to my house the day after it happened and explained to me that it was the wrong part. He said someone would call me to let me know when my car can be fixed. No one ever called. I call them back getting a call center in Tennessee with no direct phone number that was not at all helpful. Also called 2 other phone numbers and I was not able to get a hold of anyone. Dropped Gerber and went with another repair shop. Very frustrated and annoying when your car needs fixing and you cant get a hold of anyone!
Nationwide recommended I go to a body and collision shop they work with so I did. Unfortunately for me I went to Gerber in Naperville... everything was fine until I picked my car up. After having a rental for 3 days I show up they take payment right away no problems with that.I go to see my car with Mante an employee, my car was parked with the driver side window rolled down halfway. So I put my stuff in the car and checked out my front bumper replacement. It looked fine at the time ( due to being rushed) as she walked away my car wouldn’t start. Which is weird I have a 2016 Honda Civic. Never had any battery problems. So Mante runs inside to get a guy with the charger. Once it’s “charged” I go to start it and it didn’t work. Atleast five times after that I asked him to try it. As I get out of the car to let him in my car starts rolling BACKWARDS. So i look my car it was in reverse! They start saying that’s really weird and I told them no wonder why it wouldn’t start... NO WAY MOST CARS START IN REVERSE!!!!! So once it was in park it started after a few try’s. Now my battery was shell shocked after all that. So what happens next all these lights come on, electrical system problem light, brake hold problem, the list goes on. So this guy Tino I think his name was explains nothing is wrong and it will be fine. I remained calm but they never apologized or offered anything for this inconvenience. So after I got in my car I went home it took 30 minutes and then turning the car on and off to get everything back to “Normal “. I called Nationwide put everything that happened on record as I know if there are any issues with my battery and or electrical system it might have been caused from this incident at Gerber. After further seeing my front bumper it looks horrible. It looks like there are tape lines from whenever painted it. Also bubbles and you can clearly see the non painted/ primed bumper parts near the edges of the part they painted. It looks like trash I tried to call to give them another chance and Tino brings up the bad review I sent to them on a survey. Are you kidding me???? I am the customer and he has the nerve to bring that up? Turns out he is the one that backed my car in but claims it wasn’t in reverse. Yeah that’s why all the above happened. I wouldn’t let that shop touch my car again if they paid me. I went to the Gerber in Downers Grove and Rick realized the job was not done right. Thank god there is someone who cares. I will leave a good review for the Downers Grove location. I hope someone finds this story helpful.
Unfortunately I have to revise my favorable 5 star review to one star based on a recent experience. I returned to the shop after changing a light bulb revealed some sort of plastic work was performed in such a way that instead of changing the hardware and materials of a part, the pieces were either melted together or an additional caulk like material was used to make the repair. When confronted I was informed that its a typical practice and that the bond may have simply failed. Ok...I understand, but I would have liked that explained at the time of the repair. Additional parts will be charged to my insurance company after an inspection determines if parts are needed at this time. I can only see problems with that and I can only imagine the ordeal if I had changed carriers. In addition, one of the pieces from the repair is a painted piece and the clearcoat is cracking. This happened quickly after the initial repair and was quickly taken care of. It has returned (in 13 months) and now its the manufacturers fault.I tried reaching out to corporate and they have had no response. My time is valuable and I dont feel like I need to expect to jump through hoops to take care of this issue, as minor as it is. If it were a major concern, the battle to make the necessary repairs might be great. I only discovered this because I needed to change a light bulb. Its frustrating that work was done and short cuts taken without informing me how the repair was done.It didnt help that I explained the situation to the front desk personnel while a senior staff member just feet away couldnt be bothered to listen.I will not return with my repair needs (I used this location five times prior....my business should be worth some favorability).
Friendly and efficient staff.
They are the best fair price and a great price
