I want to thank Rick for working so hard on my vehicle. I had a solar panel installed, 6 lead acid batteries, security lights of all kinds, HAM radio, and much more. So much to do. Working by himself, he did this alone and I cannot be more thrilled. I will return for any work I need done going forward. I sincerely appreciate all the late nights you put in on my vehicle. Just wanted to give shout out to the guys over at Sound plus. My daughter brought her 2010 Mitsibishi truck in, it had an intermittent problem with the radio cutting in and out because of the Bluetooth. They found the receiver for the Bluetooth and disconnected it, instead of trying to tell her she needed a new stereo, they fixed the Bluetooth device. Hats off to the guys, so if and when I should ever need a stereo for my vehicle or know of someone who does, I will be referring Sound Plus. Thanks guys!

Am extremely happy with the work Soundz Plus has done on my 2019 Jeep Wrangler (JLU Sahara). They installed a Stinger HIEGH10+JL integration kit head unit with Sirius XM and Navigation, a Cobra 75 WS XT CB and fender antenna mount (I purchased, they installed), and a Compustar security and remote start system. All worked great on initial install and road tested about 8000 miles with no problems. I was particularly appreciative that the work was done as scheduled. Everything looks and works like OEM equipment and no rattles or annoyances (I think the Stinger product was a particularly tricky and involved dashboard disassembly and reassembly!). Special thanks to Ricardo Hernandez who worked with me and was responsive to my emails as we zeroed in on the selected products and install dates. If I think of a new device to install, I would not hesitate to go back.

After spending closed to $4,000 here for my 2005 MERCEDES SL-500 convertible, my sound system was incorrectly installed and drained my battery each night (very technical oversight or sloppiness on the install). After two weeks of frustration, drove to a competitor many miles away to have someone who took pride in their work diagnose and fix the problem in one business day. That retailer then told me I was SIGNIFICANTLY overcharged by SOUNDZ PLUS. Be very careful here, I am sure at times they do good work but I did not have a good experience and I am furious I overpaid for shoddy work. Call/visit multiple car stereo stores before you make your decision. And most likely the best retailer is not the closest one to where you live.

I had them put a new stereo in my truck and couldnt be more satisfied with it. Marty did an excellent job from walking me through the quote when I first stopped in to the installation. Highly recommend them. Will definitely be back in the future.

Based on the reviews, I was looking forward to having Soundz Plus do some work for me. However, they seem to have trouble answering the phone during business hours or returning phone calls once youve left a message. Good luck connecting with this outfit.

Brought my 18 JKUR there in July to get the Alpine speaker upgrade and they suggested I go a different route and Im so happy I listened to them. 10k miles later and my Jeep still sounds amazing! This is a high end shop, they work on best cars, using the best products, delivering the best results. If you want the best you got to pay for the best. With that being said, you wont find a better deal for the quality of products and services they provide.

I have a 2013 Ford Escape with an after market rear camera installed by Ford. The camera stopped working in 2020 and no one could help me replace the camera. I went to 2 different Ford dealerships including Rizza in Orland Park who originally installed the camera. No help solving the problem. I also went to 2 other sound places locally. I finally called the camera company and they recommended Soundz Plus in Naperville. They replaced the camera and have stood behind their product. I can’t say enough about the professional service I received after running around to 4 other places that could not solve my problem. I won’t go anywhere else. I had my remote starter and subwoofer installed in one of my cars. I liked their work that I came back to have them fix a bad install that was performed at another audio shop on a different car.Rick kept me updated throughout the process and showed me before and after pictures and you can see and hear the difference.Thank you Rick and Marty, you have restored my faith that there are good car audio shops out there.

I was excited to get my car automatic starter put in July 2020 with these guys based on the stats and positive reviews from last year. I brought the groupon and called. Marty said that he could get my car done on that Saturday. He made me give him the Groupon code number over the phone before the visit or any work was done. (What i didn’t know and later found out from Groupon is to never do this because they didn’t do the work. Confirm the groupon when ready to pay after the work is done.)The job should only take two hours, three at the most but Marty said even for a basic installation, you will have to leave your car there all day so beware!!I leave it for close to 8 hours only for him to call me on the phone and say they have to order a part for the automatic start installation. Why he didn’t make sure they were stocked if this was true. I don’t know. He lied and said they have parts in my car and partially installed it. I took it to another shop and they said he was lying trying to get me to come back. What a fricking rip off.I had to go through Groupon to get my voucher money back. I’ll never do business with this person and you shouldn’t either. Very sketchy

They had some issues getting the remote starter to work with my new car. They came to my car and did a small fix then my car went back to the shop. They worked on it, installed another component at their cost, now its working great.

I dont drive a fancy car, and SoundZ Plus still worked on my car happily and for a reasonable rate. My Toyota dealer had dismissed me twice when I reported that the car audio was cutting in and out. SoundZ Plus found the corroded wires in 20 minutes and installed an even better solution than the factory setup I had! Being in the Iron Gate facility, I was worried that they wouldnt want to deal with a plain car like mine, but they were so helpful and so knowledgeable. I would absolutely recommend them.

High end shop, Marty definitely knows his stuff. You will pay, dont expect Best Buy prices for labor. Dont worry though, here you get what you pay for. 4 star until they finish tuning my car then will update review

More on the expensive side, but they do things right. I wanted to get a remote start installed for my vehicle, with the harsh winters in Chicago, and they walked me through my options and were completely honest about my questions. It seems they primarily do audio work, but I was very sastified with the job they did for the remote start. Works wonderfully! The gentleman that helped me out, Daniel, was awesome.

Very happy with the service and quality. I came in with a scheduled appointment for remote start and the job was done within 1.5 hours even with them being backed up due to a tech being out sick. Top notch place and great waiting room. Daniel is great to talk with. I will be back!

You have to get the story one backup camera replaced because of some type of malfunction in the equipment in my brothers truck. He it was incredibly hot that day you just had to wait and sweat it out but Lee repair was well done and timely and its working fine

I had purchased a remote control and installed by Sound Z Plus about 14 years ago. Every time I call the office to help me with it, I get nothing but the BEST SERVICE from all of them, especially the owner Marty. I have never felt I was imposing on them and they never made me feel that I was bothering them. They are always courteous and helpful and I appreciate them. I would definitely recommend them. These guys are great. Had to get a cable repair done on short notice. We had a small window of time to work. They went out of their way to expedite the part and get the work done in between other appointments because of our unique time constraint. They proactively called to let us know where the part was and gave us a heads up that it was arriving late. When it arrived, they got us right in and replaced the cable. They genuinely cared about our satisfaction and went out of their way to communicate every step of the way. 2-weeks later, they called just to make sure we were happy with everything. I have other audio work Id like to have done and Ill be taking my care to Soundz for sure. Awesome to work with!

I got my car remote starter here in 2017, they say every remote starter has life time warranty. But in 2019 March the remote stopped working so i went in to check if they sell remote, the guy at Soundz plus said they have discontinued selling that particular brand. and suggested me to get remote from outside and hell program the remote for 15$. Later i did some research on it and programming the remote was soo easy just press the button on the started module for 10 seconds, when we hear 3 click sounds then press any button on the remote. You are all set. But for this he wants 15$, though i paid 600$ while getting the starter installed. This is ridiculous.

I recently had a phenomenal experience at Soundz PLus. It started with an inquiry call that I made that connected me with Daniel. Daniel knew every specification and detail with the remote starter systems I was asking about. He was very knowledgeable and very friendly. He wanted to make sure that every question I had was answered and that we had a great comfort level before moving forward with the installation.Daniel was very accommodating in the scheduling aspect of the job, and working around some logistical issues we had.I then received a confirmation call from Daniel the day before the installation, just to make sure everything was good on our end. The day of the installation went very smoothly, with the car being done three hours earlier than anticipated. When we picked up the car, Daniel spent considerable time going over the details of the product and showing us exactly how it worked. My inclination is that Daniel would have sat there as long as we needed him to. At no point did we sense that he needed to move onto his next project. He was again, extremely accommodating.Then to my surprise, I received a follow up call on Monday morning from Daniel to just check in and make sure that we were happy, and that the starter was working exactly as it was supposed to. The entire experience was extremely positive. I will definitely return for any needs that i have on my vehicles. I will also highly recommend and refer Soundz Plus and specifically Daniel, to others. Pros: Great expertise on installation/car audio brands and customer service. First time visiting was a great. Installed front component speakers, rear coaxial speakers, and a subwoofer in the trunk. So far so good.Cons: about 10-20% more pricey than other shops would charge, however, their attention to detail and workmanship is worth it

I have been going to Soundz Plus for over 15 years. They have never steered me wrong. I have had auto starts put in 3 cars and sound systems in 3 others. I have had window tinting done on 2 cars. I can honestly say they are professional and honest. So much so that I will not go anywhere else.

AUGUST 2018 UPDATE: I took my car here a second time. The work is amazing just like a few months ago. I ended up getting a different car that had different problems. Again, I worked with Daniel and he was willing to work with what I needed; speaker mount fabrication, tweeter mounting, and partial install. I opted to finish the install myself and they were willing to work with that. Tweeter mounts ended up looking really nice and the speakers were mounted properly. I love their attention to detail and is the reason why I choose Soundz Plus. I dont care about price, as long as the job gets done properly the first time. Daniel has always been a great help and is open to follow up calls. Both occasions, I had to call back to make sure what was done particularly and Daniel had all my questions answered. Come here if you want your audio done right!Feb 2018: I took my car to this place and it was the best choice I made. I have enough knowledge to connect aftermarket audio efficiently, but my car was something else. I did a partial install and got stuck due to molex plugs and other complications. I worked with Daniel and he knows what hes talking about. This place is open to doing installations with you. What I mean by that is; theyll work with you on whatever it is you need whether it be routing some speaker wires, drilling holes, or custom fabrication for speaker brackets. This place knows car audio, but most importantly is passionate about it as you are and is willing to work with you to achieve the sound that you want. Even after I received my car back, I ran into more issues and called Daniel back. Right away, I got a timely response and was successful with my install. Keep in mind that I had my own set of speakers and they were still willing to work with me. Many other shops I called wouldnt do work because I didnt purchase product from them. Take your vehicles here for anything audio. You wont be disappointed with their work. Top notch service!

Marty and his team are top notch!!! Did full radar system on my 2018 R8 which included a max360c and laser jammers. Also, adding a 2ch BlackVue dash camera with a backup battery and it works flawlessly. I had a great experience with Soundz Plus. I brought them a stereo, subwoofers, and an amplifier for them to install in my car. I started off by emailing the store to get a price quote for the installation. In minutes, I got a response from Marty. I went ahead and called the store to set up a consultation and to get a price quote. Daniel took great care of me and gave me a price quote, as well as setting up an install date. On the day of the install, Rick did a great job of explaining me everything that they were going to do with my car. After the install, Rick showed me everything they did with the car and how everything worked. They did an excellent job and my car couldnt sound any better. Daniel gave me a follow up call a couple days after the install to see how everything went. I couldnt be anymore happier with their customer service, as well as the work they put into my car. We took my daughters newly purchased used car with a aftermarket alarm and remote start that had a mind of its own. Dan and his crew removed and repaired all the bad work previously done and provided working doors, alarm, and remote start. They even cleaned up and repaired the wiring job on the radio. The car came back clean and no signs the dash and door panels were taken apart. Dan even called back to make sure everything was working properly. It is.

Look no further if you want to get an amazing service done correctly the first time! We made a mistake of taking one of our vehicles to a place in St. Charles before we knew about Soundz Plus and it took the other company over one year to complete the job in its entirety. We found Soundz Plus and now have had services done three times through them. Every time the service has been taken care of beyond quickly and exceeded expectations! The staff is knowledgeable and very friendly. They even call to follow up to make sure you are happy with everything.

Daniel and the rest of the crew provided top notch service! I had some 12” subs installed in my new Honda. Soundz Plus designed a custom box for me and put together a special amp rack for my trunk. Marty, Daniel and Rick are really great! I have a 1994 Corvette that is in great condition. I am very picky on who works on my car! I met Marty and he went over my options to upgrade my radio and while keeping the dash as stock. I purchased a Kenwood system that they professionally installed. It looks like part of the car! The sounds is amazing and it has everything I needed. They have great customer service and follow-up on everything they tell you. I would highly recommend them for anyone looking at having a system installed in their car.

As a return customer I was disappointed. The installation was great but the amps werent tuned well, also it was a two channel amp for my subs and they only used one. I had to redo it myself for it to sound good. I payed a very high price for this and expected it to be perfect. Idk why they cut corners but I wasnt happy with the results. I gave a three star because of the circumstances, otherwise Id give it a two star.

I brought my new Mazda 6 here to get tinted and I must say, the guy here that does tints is GOOD! I highly recommend getting tints here. NO air bubble, NO cheap purple tints, NO defects, and a lifetime warranty.I was extremely nervous before because I didnt want to end up paying a few hundred for a crappy tint job. Or find out that they use purple tint films.I left my car there, came back 4 hours later and the car looked great from a distance, but then I got closer and noticed several bubbles. WHAT!?!?! I was a little upset. Before paying I asked about the bubbles and the tintor said they were water bubbles, not air bubbles and they should be gone within a week as the sun dries them up.Within a week they were gone. I love the way the tints ended up and I highly recommend getting your car tinted here.

Almost $600 in labor alone! Claiming my radio will take 3-4 hours to install! Very overpriced i do not doubt their professional but if your on a budget do not come here.

I had a great experience with Soundz Plus they put speakers systems in my truck and on my motorcycle. These guys are outstanding I’vework with Marty, Daniel and Rick true professionals at understanding your needs and giving you what you want. When they are finished you can’t see any wires you don’t have to worry about it being your system being held up by velcro or coming apart later down the line they do things that you don’t even think about I really feel good about my Purchased it’s better than factory. With these guys you only have to get the job done once. If you were looking for true professionals I would recommend going to Soundz Plus first.

I have a Porsche Panamera 4 2018 and I wasted about 6 months calling around trying to get a remote start installed. The answer was always the same - “Sorry we can’t help you, there’s not enough demand for this car so no one has created a solution yet”. That’s until I finally got a hold of Daniel and the Soundz Plus team. Daniel simply said to bring it in. He said he could do definitely do it through the car’s key fob, and said he would try to do it also through an iPhone app, but couldn’t promise it would work. I’ll confess I was a little skeptical at first, but he sounded confident so I decided to go for it. Well that’s exactly what happened, it worked seamlessly through the key fob, but would not work consistently through the app. If the story ended here they would have already earned this review, but this is where it gets better. They asked me to bring the car in a 2nd time, and tried a different technique but again it would not work. Daniel then said he would contact a colleague from out of state (and I assume pay for his time and travel expenses) to come to Naperville and give it a shot. Well, he got it to work!!! I could not believe the level of customer service and professionalism I received here, not to mention an ideal solution to my problem. They clearly love their job and it shows through their customer service. Thank you so much guys for a job well done!

Ron at Barnaba Porsche referred me to Marty at Soundz Plus to install Kenwood head and amplifier units in a 2008 Porsche 911 4S I had purchased. Marty didn’t just do the work and hand the car back to me but listened to the unit to make sure it was right. It turned out there was a problem with the car’s original speakers and we extended the work to include a new set of Kenwood component speakers. The all Kenwood system sounds great with fabulous mid and high range detailing and a rich soundstage. Best of all was his attention to the goal of the installation which was to have a great sounding system and not just doing the work contracted. Great people for auto remote starter

I live in Indianapolis and had the guys at Soundz Plus install a stereo in a new Maserati I picked up in Naperville. Long story short, I would travel 6 hours again to have Marty, Dan & Rick help me with any of my stereo needs! I was just going to have them uninstall a custom stereo from a Maserati I was turning in from lease. I had a local Indy sound shop install it for $5k, and the last 3 years I havent been happy with the sound, so I was just going to have them uninstall the system and just install the sub in my new car with the factory speakers. As you can imagine I was really disappointed spending that much money and not being happy, so I was skeptical when Dan & Marty told me it should sound 10x better and something was wrong. After they started taking the system out it was obvious the prior shop had no idea how to properly install nor tune a nice system. So, after coming up with a really good install plan, they talked me into installing my complete old system + a bit ten with the promise it would sound amazing, which meant leaving my brand new car with them! I drove back to Indy in their shop car (really awesome they had a car for me so I didnt have to rent one) and several days later came back to pick it up. It took only 10 seconds of a song to realize not only did they keep their promise, but it sounded more amazing than I could have imagined! I couldnt believe it was the same components, sub, amp, etc. It was the best 3 hour drive home listening to this amazing stereo! They absolutely know what they are doing, dont cut corners, and deliver the best sound possible. The install, tuning, customer service, everything is top notch. Even though I live 6 hours round trip away, I am a life long customer and will be working with them for years to come.

Great place for car people

I found soundz Plus on Groupon while looking for an Auto start for my wifes Hyundai Santa fe. I ended up going with a more expensive unit for her car. Dan provided flawless service. One thing I really appreciated is there were multiple high end cars they were working on, and I felt like my small project was equally as important. I would most def recommend using them, and contact Dan if you need anything.

I called to discuss an installation and a purchase of a new car stereo. Not sure who I spoke to but described the issue I was having with my current factory unit. They are a stand up company and I reccomend them to anyone, looking for anything 12volt related. Great service very helpful and informational good products

Blown subwoofer in just a few days after it was installed by Soundz Plus. After calling Soundz Plus numerous times and not getting any response (making excuses and giving a run around) I went to a car audio shop right by my house. They said the installation wasnt done correctly. The installer did it at 2 ohm instead of 4 ohm sending too much power into the sub causing the sub to blow. This shop is definitely not the one I would recommend when doing any type of car audio. Theyll just take your money and not help you out (by avoiding your calls) if anything goes wrong. Really bad experience...Looks like their installers have no idea what theyre doing! Would never go back!

The short version is this company is either dishonest, deals in bad faith, or both.I have a classic car that I brought in for a consultation, price estimate, scheduling of the work, and submission of a deposit. We agreed upon a date that was a month out from the consultation. THREE days before I am scheduled to drop off the vehicle I received a phone call telling me they would no longer be able to take my appointment as they had lost an employee. Furthermore they claimed to be very backed up and couldn’t give me an estimate of when the work could be completed, but assured it would be no less than another full month before they could work me in.Here is the problem – IF the employee quitting was true, then the idea that 3 days of work magically turned into “at least a month” worth of work is simply impossible to believe. Meaning they were either negligent in contacting me sooner (knowing they could not fulfill our agreement) or they simply didn’t want to perform the work to begin with. I mention the possibility of the latter because they made no attempt to reschedule, were dodgy about timelines, and actually seemed delighted when I asked for the return of my deposit (still waiting on the check).Who knows what was actually was at play here, but the point is they were inconsiderate to a potential customer and caused me to miss an important date I needed the vehicle complete for. At the end of the day they aren’t saving lives and it’s just car audio, but the whole thing should have been handled differently and they have lost my future business as a result.

This is the shop, and Daniel is the guy, that you hope to one day find. The utmost in professionalism. Never once did I feel like my little Forester job was less important than the other fancy cars sitting around that cost ten times as much. I didnt even get a super high end setup - it was all about what *I* wanted and Daniel made sure I got the system I was looking for. He even reused an indash Alpine amp I had attached to my stock head unit, telling me those units are great and passing up an opportunity to sell me an amp. I could not be happier with their customer service or the end product - its exactly what I wanted. And just like another reviewer noted, Daniel sat with me in my car after the job was complete, helped me sync my phone via bluetooth and took the time to introduce me to my new system and answer my questions - completely unrushed, like he had nothing else to do.A word to the wise: this isnt the place where you negotiate and haggle prices. I had a little bit of sticker shock at first but once I got my car back I knew I made the right choice. The prices are indeed fair for the work they do. I am so glad the inept salesperson at Frys gave me a bad vibe and I didnt pull the trigger there. Theres simply no comparison between the hourly employee at Frys and Daniel, the professional whos got a passion for what he does and can deliver outside-of-the-box custom solutions. Ive realized that I will never understand the true level of quality and detail that went into my install, but I do appreciate it. The glimpses Ive had so far make me wonder what Ill never see or know (e.g. fine tuning of the amps and sub, crossover settings, pre-programming speaker distances and timing, pro-level taping and routing of wires...) Daniel did explain to me some of their installation practices (some of which which seemed like overkill to this DIYer) that speak to the irreproachable caliber of work you will get from Soundz Plus.When Daniel called me a couple weeks after install to ask how things were, I told him how disappointed I was that now, with my lifelong dream of having a 13 band eq at my fingertips achieved, I can hardly make any improvements to the sound because the speakers are tuned and balanced so damn well!It might sting the wallet a little bit, but this is definitely a cry once deal. Well worth it.

My wife says that the bluetooth sounds better then the cell phone itself when I call her. You did a great job hooking up the mic and xm antenna. Went in to get a diagnostic done and see what was wrong with my audio system. They just started cutting wires until they figured it out and left me with the mess. Then they tried to sell me a new system to replace the mess they gave me, for $600.

Receiving one star because I could not give negative star rating.Simply put BAIT AND SWITCH. Was given a price at the store of roughly $800 for everything. Came home and found it on line at ABT with everything and install was $685 they agreed to do it for $695. I live close so it was worth $10 bucks not to drive to ABT. After he took my credit card the “Computer Crashed” and will have to call me back.Had someone else (not original sales person) call me back and now price with a great discount was roughly $875. After I said do not bill my card this is unethical and hung up they called me back for a third time and now were willing to match what I was quoted in store, but not the online. PROCEED WITH CAUTION!
