I purchased a sliding glass door with installation of same. Pricing seemed fair until well into the final purchasing paperwork (at their store) when they disclosed that for the price we were discussing, the inside of the door would not come painted. It would cost an additional $1300 to have it done at the factory. Ridiculous. This is an exorbitant cost and should have been made clearer much earlier in the sales / discussion process. I decided to move forward with the purchase, but paint the inside portion myself. This will be a pain, and is something I did not want to do. The installation took pretty much all day which was OK because there was a lot of custom work and fitting. The installer was excellent to work with and his craftsmanship was wonderful.. Now I have to paint the darn thing..

Bought new front and screen doors. Entire experience was great. Very professional sales and installation. Kept us updated throughout the process leading up to installation. Was able to install within 2 days from calling me. Installer took his time to make sure it was done right. Very clean installation too. Highly recommend. Makes the front of our house look great!

They use photo software to show the door on the house before ordering so we could really be sure we were making the right choice. They kept us informed during every step of the process. I used Next Door and Windows five years ago to replace exterior doors to my home and had a wonderful experience. So when I needed to replace the windows in the upper level of my home I contacted them again. From the sales call to the installation, everything was done on time and professionally. I couldnt have asked for better service. I will be using Next Door when I start my next project.

Installation took a day, the installer was very professional. He covered the door opening with a barrier to prevent any debris from getting in the room. There was an issue with the supporting boards and he needed to do some extra work to fix it and he did a great job. I highly recommend him.

I have to say that Next Door and Window is one of the best contractors I have ever worked with. The windows they installed are far superior to our old ones in every way. A month after they were installed my gas bill dropped.The finish work on both the exterior is done well but the interior was exceptional. The trim work has given our house a touch of elegance we did not have before.Next Door & Windows installed the windows in the allotted time specified and left my house as clean as they found it. They made sure to protect my floors and furniture during the installation. The few minor things we found wrong we handled immediately and without question.If you are considering windows or doors or both I highly recommend them. I would not consider anyone else.

The install team was amazing!!!!! We had a few issues with the order with never been addressed! I have talked to them about it but it fall on deaf ears. So when ordering from them make sure it is everything you asked for!

Great assistance and service throughout the process of replacing 14 upstairs windows. Initial sales recommendation focused on our needs and personal situation rather than selling highest priced materials. Frequent contact throughout process kept us well informed of installation date and what to expect. Best of all, our contractors Peter and Stephen, were tireless, skilled workers - putting in two long days to complete the project on time. They fixed many flaws associated with the original builder quality construction. Price was slightly higher than our two other bids but absolutely worth it. Will definitely return to Next when we decide to replace additional windows.

We had a sliding glass patio door replaced. Excellent communication (project updates, changes we requested, etc) with all personnel involved, very knowledgeable and professional staff. You get a single point of contact for the project who coordinates and schedules the work. They are more expensive than competition, but you get what you pay for.

Just got three entrance doors replaced. Outstanding experience from start to finish. From the showroom staff, the salesman who came out to the house and patiently helped us pick just the right high quality products, to the project manager who kept us informed of scheduling to finally the very experienced and expert installers, everything was done very well and on time.

The project went extremely well. The installation was complex due to the size of the windows and the siding. It went so well that the condominium association is using it as a template for future installations in the complex.

Great experience. Our salesperson, Gary, was more of a consultant to us as we had to make lots of decisions on replacing our large, 3 section back door. No pressure.And the installers were fantastic. Very fussy about getting it all straight and tight. Nothing in my house is straight and they scribed the interior trim in perfectly.

We purchased windows from Next Door and Window in 2005 and 2015. Recently, we noticed a slight defect in the hardware on one of the windows we purchased in 2005. I called about it, hoping to purchase a new part. Not only did Next Door and Window replace the part with no charge, but they delivered it to my home personally. They have earned my business twice, and recently earned, once again, my gratitude and respect!

We had 4 windows replaced. The men arrived promptly in the morning before 8 A.M., put covers on our carpeting so they wouldnt get it dirty walking up and down our stairs, and finished the job as was estimated by 3 P.M. We were very satisfied with the whole process, from our first walk into the store several weeks earlier, to the estimate done by Bruce a week later, and by the new windows arriving weeks before they were estimated to arrive. Excellent experience. They arrived on time, dug a path through the snow to facilitate their work. Window installation was flawless, they moved furniture when required and restored everything to the proper place. Everybody was friendly. Eight windows installed quickly. Our next project (front door) will go to Next Door and Window without question.New info on 12/23/19): As I said in my previous post, the front door would be next and that job was just completed. Perfect! The door was custom made and the installation was fabulous. Our installer spent 7 or 8 hours making sure everything was perfect. Old alarm system contacts were connected, new doorbell installed, beautiful storm door installed at the same time. He cleaned up beautifully after finishing the work. Once we got new blinds put in for the panel next to the door, the impression from the outside is just what we wanted ... clean, modern appearance.I cannot overstate the quality and professionalism of Next Door and Window. Not cheap but certainly in line with what we expected to pay.

We purchased the Infinity windows and an Albany fiberglass entry door. The ordering process and installers were great and they look beautiful! They even special ordered the glass for the entry door for us. The only disappointments were that we had ordered the cherry stain on all of the products, thinking that they would match. The cherry stain on the windows was a natural cherry, light colored, like we wanted. The door was a dark cherry stain. We were told it was due to different manufacturers. Wish we had been told that when we ordered. They offered a cash discount which we took advantage of, but at the time of installation when we had to pay the balance, the cash discount was missing from their calculation of balance due. The company did correct this when we pointed it out.

I scheduled Next Door and Windows of Burr Ridge for a measurement and sales call. I have 25 year old windows in my home that need replacing.They set the appointment and then didnt show. I called to see if they were running late and they never phoned me back.I called the next day and they said they got my message but didnt know why the salesperson didnt show.

Windows took longer than I wished to get here, but the quality was excellent and the installers were well experienced and completed the project perfectly. It looked like the windows came with the house and not replacements as they fit so flush. The project manager kept in contact and sent me updates via salesforce and that was very helpful in assisting me on tracking the project status. In May 2013 we had our windows and doors replaced by Next. The experience was awesome. They were professional, polite, punctual, and very accommodating. We have been thrilled with their product ever since. Over the past 3 years there have been some issues with their product, however the Company responded in a very timely manner, fixed the problems and havent charged a dime....even after 3 years of wear. Words cannot describe how wonderful this organization is with respect to their customers concerns. I would highly recommend using this company. They are one of a kind that hopefully will be around for a long time to come.

After researching quite a few window manufacturers as well as installers, we ordered our Marvin wood/aluminum windows from Next Door & Window. We were a bit disappointed for a bit because there was a glitch in the manufacturing/finishing of our order which delayed the installation about 4-5 weeks. I visited their local store in Naperville on Ogden and spoke with Pete Guziewski about having several windows replaced on the second floor of my home. Pete was very knowledgeable and helpful in the showroom and within two days came to my home and listened to my concerns, took measurements and before he left gave me a firm cost for the project. A few days later another employee came and remeasured the windows to confirm Pete’s original measurements so that the windows could be constructed. Everything went smoothly and quickly and in less than 2 months the windows were delivered and installed in one day. The installation crew was the best that I have experienced in the 25 years that I have lived in my home. They protected the carpeting by placing plastic on the stairs, in the hallways and in the rooms themselves. In addition, they covered any furniture that was in the rooms where the windows were being replaced. After finishing, the rooms were thoroughly cleaned and I was given a tour of the new windows and a demonstration of how to operate and care for them. Next Door and Window is a professional company with employees that are service oriented, knowledgeable and it operates with a business model that other companies would do well to copy. I will do additional business with them next year as there are additional windows in my home that need replacing.

Ordered two garage service doors and a storm door for the back porch. The salesman was professional and helpful as he was formerly an installer. The doors arrived exactly to the day they were promised and the installers had the job done in a half a day. One of the doors had a small dent; the owner gave us a choice of either ordering a new door or giving us $250 of the price. We couldnt be happier with our choosing Next Door & Window.

My salesman was knowledgable, provided several options and didnt pressure me. I was called, emailed and apprised every step of the way. I did take over a month for the door to be installed, but these are made to order. They even came back to measure again before sending out the order. My door was installed on a zero degree day and was completed perfectly. I really was impressed and would hire them again.

After 19 years in our home the front door frame was badly rotted, we had NEXT Door and Window come out and replace the entire frame with side window, front door and storm door. We even had them put in a smart lock so we dont need to depend on keys. Work was done quickly and professionally. The door looks great and the smart lock was a great addition. We had that work done in September and this week Chicago saw some of its coldest temps on record... our door and frame held the cold back and unlike many others, our door didnt build up ice/condensation. Great service, great product. I highly recommend.

We are getting most of the windows replaced on our home through our insurance for hail damage. On November 2, one of the sales staff (Amer) arrived at my home (late) and gave me what was a seamless sales pitch regarding their windows and process. My husband and I decided that the reviews for the company must be accurate and regardless of what percentage the insurance covered, we were confident in the companys experience and would be working with them to replace all of the windows in our home over the coming years.During the 2.5 hour sales pitch I learned that next door and window was a family business and Amer was part of the family. Since he came out I have received approximately two calls a week from their office staff wanting to know if I had received the quote and if Amer had answered all my questions. Every time the answer is no and they apologize and tell me they are going to follow up with him to find out about the quote. The last time they called was last Saturday (12/2) and the woman indicated she was going to email Amers boss. No follow up. I emailed Amer myself three weeks ago inquiring about the status of the quote and to date have received nothing in response.We are happy that Next Door and Window has plenty of business that they dont need ours, or anyone elses that we provide recommendations for.

Sales experience was painless but installation experience left us wanting. We had issues where our salesperson made changes to our contract after we signed it, changing the way replacement molding was to be installed vs. our discussions with him. Even after correcting this with contracts, the installer was not given the material to do it the way we requested and I had to contact Next to resolve, which they did, but required a late night of installers at our home. The installation of trim at our home was not professional finish quality. The trim installed was not mitered well in many areas and was not caulked by Next, leaving large gaps. The drywall around the windows was damaged in many places and not repaired by Next. Next didnt cover most surfaces, leaving layers of dust on TVs, electronics and bedding. In all, the installers were professional, but the final quality of the work required me to patch, paint and caulk their poor trim work -- could have saved time and money just installing trim myself.

The installation of my windows was done quickly and perfectly. The installer was professional and courteous. Love, love the windows.
