I will try to keep this simple. I paid a very significant premium to buy a Pella patio door, primarily because it is manufactured, sold, installed, and serviced by one company. Although the door seems great and the installation was done ahead of schedule in a professional manner, there was a minor issue with a piece of weatherstripping missing over the sliding door. It has been two weeks since the installation and have yet to hear back regarding an estimate of when this, the simplest of issues, would be resolved. About a week in, after patiently waiting for a call or email, I followed up. The ball had been dropped completely. I later received a voicemail from the project manager with a ticket number and phone number for service. I tried calling at 4:05 pm on Friday and learned that their business hours are 8:30 to 4. I followed their suggestion and created a ticket online. I received an automated reply saying I would hear back within five business days. Really? A week to reply to an online support request? After hearing nothing further after 3 business days, I finally got in touch with the service department and they reported that they have no ticket for me and suggested that the ticket might have been created in another system because its an installation issue and not a repair. I tried calling the number I was given, waited 20 minutes on hold before my phone battery died. Ugh. It shouldnt be this hard after paying nearly $6500 for a patio door. Just send me the weatherstrip. I can press it into place. If this is how Pella responds the literally the simplest of issues, should I have any reason to expect better if something significant occurs in the future?UPDATE: Perhaps coincidentally, I received a call from Pella Service later the day I posted my original review. The soonest they have available to come out for a repair is SEVEN weeks away....for a five-minute correction to a factory error. Glad that Im unlikely to have snow blowing in the door during that period. Unlikely, but not impossible, by any means.

Jodi Colegrove was a great salesperson to work with. Besides being knowledgeable about Pella products, she was very patient when it came to us deciding what to purchase. She always gave us time to decide on color, style hardware, etc without rushing us along. She would even offer different options to look at. I definitely would recommend her to anyone looking to purchase Pella products. She rocks!!

Pella did a very professional job from the time I met with the sales reps. at my home up through when the installation was complete. Jodi Colegrove was extremely informative and helpful without being pushy. It was a pleasure working with her. The new windows in my (4) season room all but block out the loud noise from a very busy (4) lane road outside of my house. The new widows also provide great protection from the suns rays and keep the cold air out in the winter season.I highly recommend Pella to anyone interested in replacing their windows.Great Job!

In the end we did not choose Pella, and not because of price or salesmanship. If we have additional needs in the future Pella will be included in reviewing and bidding on the project.

Artan Sakiri came to give us a quote for windows and sliding glass door. He was on time (actually a tad early, which was awesome) and very professional, polite and friendly. His knowledge of windows and doors was very expansive and we had a great time talking to him. Unfortunately, we decided not to purchase at this time, but we will definitely recommend Pella windows as we have replaced some a few years back and love them.

After contacting a few companies about a patio door can’t help but to be happy about my choice of going with pella, the knowledge and professionalism of Mr. Jason Giddins made my decision very easy, he deserves a good review by his upper management.

Started out fine but got progressive worse.Couple days before original instal date, they called and said one of 4 windows was back ordered but only a couple days and might come on instal date. So date comes, but they only have 3 windows and still proceed to remove all 4 old ones. They have to reinstall one of the old ones but do it poorly because it ends up being drafty in my infants room. Plus another window has debris inside and already needs service.But we thought only a couple more days. Turns out that after multiple calls and emails, especially to Gina Bartuch (who is not helpful at all), we finally get a instal date 1.5 months after the original.These guys come and don’t have enough trim to finish one window. Sigh. Now we are about a month out from that date and still can’t get anyone to respond to get us this one single piece or fix the other window.Update: we finally got the trim fixed. They brought out the window for repair….. it was the wrong window. And another couple months of waiting.

The worst company ever and could only wish that we did not use them. I will not refer this company to anyone.Larry Domark sold us our windows, but when he realized there were issues in installing the windows, he went MIA and without prior warning(no invoice) proceeded to file a lien against our house. I am abhorred by the unprofessional tactics that this company employs. Be warned that their products are defective and they have no desire to fixing it once installing as well. My door lock don’t work, inner windows came scratched up and the installers busted up the corner of my windows, so it’s ugly and poor workmanship.There are better choices out there and especially for the lack of service and professionalism, we deserve better. Go elsewhere if you want better product and professional service.

Our home was recently struck by a tornado. Jodi C. With pella was one of several window vendors we had come to our home. She was on time, took time to listen to our needs and offered us a very thorough recommendation that was in line with our homes needs. I would recommend pella to anyone.

Working with Pella was the worst experience Ive ever had with a company. Our screen door handle broke the second day, the quality of the installation is terrible, and the installation crew left a mess everywhere.First, after spending a massive amount of money, they told us that our trim did not come in white and we would have to paint all the trim white or it would just be wood. My wife and I spent time and more money to paint all the trim white.Then the day of the job, no one introduced themselves to us on the day of the installation, there was no project manager that showed up. They finished the job and didnt do a walkthrough, but instead just handed us a piece of paper to sign. They left the job unfinished and it is STILL unfinished (2 weeks later). They didnt properly measure a piece of trim and the outside of our house has remained unfinished and ugly. There was not a single quality assurance person who came out to check on the quality of the job.There was saw dust all over our lawn, nails from nail guns left in our childrens playroom, and screws/nails all around the house.I am still waiting for the job to be completed and if I had not reached out to complain, no one was going to rush to finish it. For the price of the window, the company does a HORRIBLE job. Id go with another window company. We used POWER for our upstairs windows and they were very thorough.It has been the worst customer service. No one at the company seems to care that we spent a large sum of money to put these doors and windows in. They have the money and do not care about the customer.I HIGHLY regret using this company

Our experience with Pella was really a roller coaster. The initial sales consultation with Kyle Wells was very efficient - he spent very little time trying to upsell me or deviating from the request at hand (we simply wanted to replace 1 window). I was very direct and told him that cost and lead time were our two primary concerns - we had gone out to bid with several other window companies and he was able to provide a similar price and a better lead time, so we elected to go with Pella. We initiated the contract on 28APR2021 with a target install during the week of 20JUN2021. Visit for measure was 05MAY2021 - no mention of any issue was made at this time, but it seems that this was when things started to go south. 2 full weeks later (19MAY2021), Kyle reached out to tell us that after further review, Pella would need to charge an additional $458 for the window. I communicated that my expectation was that Pella would cover the increase because it was their error in proposal, but Kyle was unable to make that happen and we were trapped in a contract for far more than we expected to pay due to the fact that we could not get any other window vendors to commit to our existing installation window (we had already lost 3 weeks of our schedule at this point). We ended up paying the additional cost (negotiated down to $380, which was roughly a 30% increase from the original price). At that time, Kyle confirmed that they would still meet a late June install timeline. Having heard nothing about a change in schedule, I reached out on 22JUN2021 to check on a confirmed installation date. Kyle responded that the installation timeline had changed and would actually be the week of 18JUL2021 (significantly after our discussed need date of 02JUL2021). I am writing this review on 19JUL2021, having heard nothing more from Pella (and having spent 40 minutes on hold with scheduling to eventually leave a voicemail). Again we have passed the point of planned install confirmation (the week before installation, per Kyle) without ANY prior notification from Pella. I understand that manufacturing delays happen, but I would expect at the very least to be proactively notified if things were to be delayed. Weve missed our need date/agreed install date AND weve paid 30% more than we agreed to pay. Were certainly not receiving what we thought we purchased. Hopefully installation will go smoothly.

My experience with Pella was extremely good. The process of ordering my windows was very easy. The installation went very smoothly. My windows are beautiful and I have no regrets. I would like to thank Obed Perez, salesman, for taking the time to come up with a great design for my space. Obed, as well as Mario and the installation team, were all very professional, very polite, and did a great clean up job when they were done.

Crew arrived on time, worked quickly and professionally, did an awesome job. They did a little extra work to ensure that the new door didnt fail the way the old one did (I installed it myself - mistake.) Our sales expert Jodi Colegrove gave us a great price and had several incentives, plus shes repping the best product out there. We never felt pushed or sold. It was a pleasant experience all around, and we are VERY satisfied customers.

The quality and service of Pella Windows cannot be beat. Weve had several different installs over the years and always had a great experience. Our rep, Jim Chochola, is wonderful to work with. Hes incredibly responsive, works around our schedules, friendly, and always looking out for the best deals. He goes out of his way to make the experience easy for us. Each install has also gone incredibly well. They are quick, professional, and weve never had any issues. The windows look amazing, are easy to clean, and weve definitely seen an improvement with temperature control in our home - no more drafty windows! Theyve stood up well over the past few years, and we cant wait to get the rest of the house finished up.

Kyle Wells was a fantastic person to work with. He answered all our questions and was very knowledgeable about Pella windows. He put together an excellent package for window replacement for our house. I would highly recommend him. We will go back to Kyle with any window or door needs in the future.

Unfortunately, earliest date for a service call is in Aug. That said, the customer service representative was extremely helpful, knowledgeable of the product lines, and confident in alternate solutions and the nature of repair. Also their app that allows Pella staff to remotely view the item in need of repair is a great use of technology.

Pella quality is always outstanding. Obed is our sales rep and we have worked with him on at least three stages of window replacements on our home over the last few years. He is always on time, listens, and is responsive to our needs. This month we had five windows and our sliding back door replaced by Pella and the installation crew. The crew was on time, responsible, respectful, hard working, and cleaned up after they were done. The workmanship is excellent and they paid attention to the details--especially because weve had the windows done in stages, so they have to match perfectly. We are thrilled with our newest grouping of windows and the door! Would recommend Pella, Obed, and his installation crew to everyone we know!

Jim Chochola was our representative - he was on time with our appointments, was clear and concise with the quotes, expectations, scheduling, and was fully knowledgeable of the product.The installations were on schedule, quick, and clean, very professionally installed!We have been able to stagger our installs in phases to avoid taking on a big financial hit at once, Pella had no issue doing this.

Pella’s Chicago team did not disappoint. The initial sales discussions were informative and helped us get to the right choice. Financing was a breeze and the onsite crew!?! Holy s-word were they professional. They installed 5 windows in (maybe) 3 hours and the included images show where they shined brightest....the install of a bay window that has 1 inch clearance from the air conditioner.The onsite crew included a woodworker who cut to fit custom framing for each window. This is probably standard with any company, but Pella stands apart by extending quality to things you don’t think about. For example, they left and took their sawdust with them! In addition one of the team guys noticed a crack (that they didn’t create) and he pulled out a bag of concrete mix and patched the thing up!The only people who do these things are people who care, so if you want quality windows and workmanship you will call Pella.

After many years of kicking the can down the road we finally decided it was time to replace the windows in our home. We contacted Pella and were assigned a representative named Obed Perez. After speaking with Obed we set up an appointment for him to come to the house and show us Pellas products. After speaking with Obed for a while about various series of windows he knew exactly what we were looking for. We were impressed at how well he knew his job and took the time to listen to our concerns. Obed is a true asset to Pella and a great guy. The installer Robert Oslowski and his crew were amazing. They were on time, very professional, extremely skilled, and very nice. They went the extra mile on everything they did. This crew is also a asset to Pella. When we eventually move and if wee need new windows I will only call Obed and his crew from Pella.

Online it states that they are open. After driving there they were all locked up. After trying to call the nuber pasted on the door for to make an appointment someone came to the door and told me my Pell storm door that I needed a screen for was not made by Pella. I was told to contact Lowes. She was helpful a d very cordial considering I was upset and not friendly. All and all I would say they are very good at not loosing there cool cosiderd g an obnoxious customer.

We live in a Landmark home and had to have approval from the citys preservation commission to replace our old, rotted windows. After wasting nearly a year with other companies, Jim Chochola at Pella was able to provide us not only with a solution that was acceptable for the commission, but one that we were happy with. He managed the project from proposal to installation and was always helpful and responsive.

I ordered a door on 9/13., put down half of the amount and was told it would take 10 to 12 weeks for the door to get in and installed, someone came out to measure that was the last I heard from them. I tried emailing and calling to see when I can anticipate getting my door installed with no success, meanwhile they have had free use of my money. Really poor communication.

Our sales rep, Josh Olson and as young as he is showed tremendous poise and professionalism. His knowledge and understanding of the Pella products was outstanding. This is the second time we have used Pella windows and Obed Perez as our sales consultant. His customer service, responsiveness, reliability and follow-up are fantastic no matter how small or large the job. Obed has a great eye for getting the right design. The Pella quality along with customer service from Obed Perez cant be beat.

I will not even rate Pella. We had a patio door installed back in October that was actually bowed. We finally received approval that the door is covered, however, they are only covering $300 of the install, when I was quoted $1,300. How is this my responsibility at all?!? Pella does not take care of their customers so if you are considering using them, I say RUN!! They even sent two windows initially that were the wrong size! Terrible company!

Had sliding door installed and was very happy. At that time we also had quoted upstairs window. A year later when we were ready to proceed on upstairs the value jumped up 15%. When questioned on the change there was no response or follow up from Marty, our rep.Happy to go with C&L Ward via Andersen, Luke was great.. Came in 20% lower for better product with greater warranty .

Made order for $36,000 value. 1 window came in by 11 shorter. Retailer would not admit hes fault and Pella does nothing to fix the problem. Im on my own. Would not recommend use Pella to anybody else

We had a 28 year old Pella window with balancers that wore out, and the window would not stay open. We were extremely pleased that Pella could still supply replacement parts for this quality wood window and make a timely repair. Kudos to the schedulers and customer service people who were courteous and thorough in getting the right materials and scheduling the service technician. Process was fairly easy once I found the phone number for the Northern Illinois region. Looking up Pella Service on the internet did not return a useful link, but Pella Warranty service did help in locating the local number to find the service department serving the Chicago suburbs. Cost was about $300. High --but far less than a new window.

Excellent service and product. 2 large sliding doors were replaced. Our rep, Obed Perez was able to expedite our order quickly as it was a unique circumstance. He was also available throughout the process to answer questions and help us with any additional issues. I would highly recommend Pella for their high quality products but more importantly Obed for his great professionalism and outstanding customer service.

After a hail storm damaged all of my windows, I contacted Obed Perez. He was highly recommended by my roofer, Safeguard Construction. Obed was professional, arrived on time, submitted the window proposal to my insurance company, spoke with different adjusters, submitted everything that was requested, more once, and stayed on top of the claim, until my windows were approved. Without Obeds diligence, and persistence, I doubt the entire window claim would be approved.The installers were professional, and the windows are are great.

We purchased a custom round top front door from Pella. The price was expensive, but we understand that you get what you pay for as their quality is quite nice. However, during installation, the installers stripped our door bell wiring making our it inoperable. Even though Pella advertises their lifetime guarantee, they will not come back out and take off some of the siding so I can have an electrician re-wire for a new door bell.

Pella replaced our windows a few years ago and we were so satisfied then, we decided to replace the front entry door. Michele was incredibly knowledgeable about Pella products and assisted us in choosing the best door that best fit our home. She is the reason why we chose Pella. Her patience and time were much appreciated. The installers were just as nice and knowledgeable. The door is absolutely gorgeous and we wouldnt have changed a thing. We are extremely satisfied with the experience and overall product.

I scheduled an appointment for a quote to replace three basement windows. Despite having blog posts about basement windows in window wells, a Pella Window representative informed me that they do not replace windows in window wells.

Obed helped me order a new entry way for my home and his knowledge and professionalism were above and beyond. He was insightful and offered stellar advice about selection choices and safety. He selected a team that would help with my specific home issues with crown moulding and organized it all efficiently but with thought. The team that then put in my door were equally adapt at quick and careful service. I would highly recommend Pella and would specifically recommend Obed for his amazing work.

The installers covered all my carpeting from the front door throughout the rooms with cloth. They moved all the furniture necessary and replaced it perfectly. They worked hard, fast and furiously and never spoke a word to each other. They explained everything, answered my questions and showed me how to use the windows. I couldnt ask for better care. Obed Perez, the sales consultant, also was great in answering all my questions and returning my call. I am completely satisfied from sales to completion.

She showed me exactly what each window would look like and the front door design. Wow!!!The lead man was fantastic he went way above and beyond of just an install.He had his crew fix some areas that had water damage. He also provided sealing around the areas that the shutters came out of. Which was wonderful he did not have to do that .... but he was so kind and had his crew seal the area so that no moisture would get in until I get the shutters ordered and installed. I will highly recommend YOU and your company along with the crew that worked so well together to any of my friends, neighbors or family. Customer service called several times to make me aware of when they were coming out and also a follow up call to ensure that all went well.I just love all the windows and front door...just beautiful. In some waysIt feels like it is a new home.I would highly recommend Pella to anyone!

Our Sales rep Obed Perez was recommened by our roofer, Safeguard, whom we trust. I had a very difficult time with Pella. I needed a replacement that was under warranty and it was very obvious that they did not like the request.It still does not operate, the latch is not lined up so we have to go out side to shut the window tight. My double hangs are very difficult to operate.Now I want to replace the screen on the back door, that never came with a storm glass: only to find out you cannot replace it! The size is not a nprmal size and when I called Pella they told me to go to Lowes. So that is what I did and the guy came out and sai this is not a regular screen door and we cannot replace it. So much for Pella! VERY DISAPPOINTED

Terrible customer service practices. My window cracked, they quoted me something that I did not think would fix the problem. I asked if someone could come out and look at it. $150 and 2.5 month wait. I asked if I ordered it and it didnt fix the problem could I return it? NO Returns. I then asked if I went ahead and schedule it for repair whats the soonest? 2.5 months. I asked what happens if my shattered glass falls out in the middle of winter? Response: Yes that could happen. Silence.

My husband and I have dealt with Pella in the past and are highly satisfied customers! We are so fortunate that Emilie Fosco, our sales consultant is still working at Pella. She is very friendly and knowledgeable on all Pella products. We are very pleased with our high quality windows and patio door. I would recommend Pella to all of my family and friends.

Obed and his team are superb. I have had two separate installations through Pella that have been great (first all of our windows and then our doors). Any questions I have had have been quickly answered and they are super responsive throughout the whole process. Extremely happy with our Pella orders.

We just had our patio door replaced with a Pella sliding glass door that has the blinds between the glass. Excellent experience from start to finish. We began by visiting the showroom so we could see the products in person. Next it was very easy to schedule a Saturday appointment for an in home consultation. Emilie Fosco brought a smile and a step by step video to show us and answered all our questions. She also helped us make final decisions on colors which was very helpful. Installation took a bit under 3 hours. Our installer was Mike. He was awesome; pleasant, knowledgeable and left no trace of a mess behind. Of course our new Pella sliding glass door looks amazing and works great. Pella clearly makes a quality product and takes customer service seriously. The level of professionalism and knowledge is top notch.

We recently moved into an older home that needed new windows throughout. Obed came to our rescue! Obed Perez is a sales rep for Pella and helped us with each phase of our window replacement. He did a wonderful job sheduling each replacement around other construction we had going on around our new home. The installers did a great job, and were courteous and always cleaned up after each window they replaced. We still have a few more Windows that need replacing, and will definitely call Obed when we get to that phase of our remodel. Thank you Obed!!

We had a very positive experience with salesperson Michelle of Oakbrook Pella Windows.. She was very knowledgeable and thorough with the products. She was very prompt with appointments as well. She kept up with the installation date and time on the dot. We are very happy with her customer service. The crew did a great job with installation and clean up. Highly recommend Michelle!

Would give 0 stars if that was an option. Purchased patio doors (expensive to boot). At install, a piece was missing. Scheduled a follow-up and tech came with the wrong piece, Second follow-up, still a wrong piece. Each service call takes months to schedule. A cheaper option would have been a better option.

Our experience with Pella windows goes back twenty years when we replaced all but the living room five-panel window. Jason came out to discuss replacing it this spring, and along the way the patio door was included in the order. What a delightful young man! He taught me a lot about new technology used by Pella and innovations such as window screens that pull down. I look forward to the coming installation.

I am only speaking for the customer service department call Im still on which is now going into its 35th minute. I called based on a rather simple issue. A multitude of questions came up which didnt lead to any kind of solution. The Rep wouldnt explain why she was asking me these questions. I was on hold multiple times, she kept breathing heavily and sighing. I mean - 40 minutes on a call to schedule service on a sliding door? Astonishing. First available appointment isnt for 5 weeks? Pella, are you kidding me?

Very professional all around....from our salesman, Marty, to the men who came out to measure, to the very pleasant office staff, and to the very knowledgeable installers. All knew exactly what needed to be done and executed it well. I would highly recommend Pella for all of your window needs. Their product and staff are excellent!

I regret choosing this company to replace my windows. At first they seemed great, they came a couple times to work out the details and measure everything. I paid in full beforehand (that was a mistake!) Then came the day of installation...they did not order materials correctly so were not able to fully complete the job. Now it is one month later and I still have tape covering the outside of my windows instead of siding. Since they already got my money I am low on the priority list. Horrible!

I’m sure if we purchased direct through Pella we would not of faced the poor installation and customer service that we received by Lowe’s.Lowe’s price for Pella product is significantly lower than buying direct through Pella.Lowe’s ordered wrong product on several occasions, product was missing or broken and overall after spending around $30k in Pella product, I can conclude that Lowe’s does not represent Pella product well. To date, we still do not have the Pella product we ordered through Lowe’s. We recently had Pella quote us on front windows. The price is about 30% higher then purchasing through a reseller.

Larry, my Pella salesperson, was incredibly knowledgeable and professional.I’ve done two projects with Larry, at my house and condominium, and the replacement windows are top-notch!I’m extremely satisfied with the Pella product and look forward to another project with Larry this year.

Obed Perez was not pushy like other salesmen Ive spoken to regarding new windows for the front of the house. He was patient, really knew his product well. I felt he was not just trying to make a sale, but was truly trying to help me determine what was best for my needs.I inquired about a bay window and because of where I wanted it, he suggested that I dont go that route. He said others in the area have had issues with this type if window design and took the time to explain why .He also took the time in calculating a quote unlike others who just threw out a number without any thought . Pella offers a number of payment options which made it easier for me to get what I wanted.Obed walked me through every step if the process and had excellent follow up. I felt confident in him and the Pella windows.After 3 years the windows have served us well, saving money on heating, great look and easy to clean.

I had a problem with a 10 year old set of shades on a patio door and Pella replaced them even though they were technically no longer under warrenty. Great customer service.

Not good I could not get one price from them.. and I had exact measurements from the previous windows they measured and ordered 24 years ago.I wanted to see prices.. and they said no...we need to be in your face at your house... grins

Larry our sales rep was excellent in describing all the options and colors. Install was done quickly and professionally. One minor mistake was pointed out and they have been quick to schedule a time to fix it...

This is my third Pella replacement door and the second time I worked with Emilie Fosco. I love the doors and Emilie too! The installation crew was polite, neat and timely. Highly recommend Pella and their team.

Dan Maroney did a superb job! He explained everything needed for insulation, gave me quotes appropriate for my situation. He gave me the time frame for insulation. Since, I am in a townhouse, I am waiting for approval. Then, I can begin insulation.

Unfortunately we didnt have the pleasure of meeting Mr Obed Perez like other reviewers did. If we had, perhaps we wouldve had a better experience. Instead we were met by lazy employees who could barely be bothered to greet us and answer our questions. This showroom is pointless if your workers cant tell me prices or at least rough estimates. We dutifully filled out the forms thinking someone would get back to us with actual information but of course nobody did. Pretty certain they threw our information right into the garbage can. Thanks for nothing.

We had a wonderful experience with Pella from start to finish! We are so thrilled with our beautiful new bay window. It has really transformed the house and room. Our sales rep Emilie Fosco was amazing. She offered great suggestions and reccomemdations to help create exactly what we needed. Our installers came on time and got right to work. They made sure we were up to speed on anything they were doing. We will definitely be contacting Emilie if we have any additional work that needs done. Great job all the way around!

I had all my windows replaced in a 2 story home. If I had to do it again in another home I would use the same Pella Windows and company. I’m very happy a year later! Jo

I chose to take Pella up on a special offer to replace all the windows and doors on my 60 year old home in Elmhurst, IL. The sales associate Dan Maroney could not have been more professional or helpful. He truly made the entire experience enjoyable for me and my family. The quality of the service and the product are excellent. I would highly recommend both Pella and Dan to any family interested in new windows and doors.

We have used Pella for all of our window and door replacements. We like the quality of the product and the guarantees. Jason Giddings, our salesman has been terrific! We are part of a townhome development and he was responsive and patient as we worked through the Association approval process for the work to be done. The windows and doors look wonderful!

We love our Pella windows. Emilie Fosco is very knowledgeable about the product and what looks best for our home. We will definitely use Emilie again for the next phase, which will be an entry door.
