As of october 20th, this place was exposed to covid, but still open??I appreciate the guy telling me b4 I entered briefly with a mask on!!!!, but really, they should be closed and have a sign on the door!!!
Great people to work with. I bring my grandkids with me to work with them on starting their own coin collection. The employees work with them and treat them like adults even though they are 12 and 13.
I dealt with Mike and sold a few Gold Eagles to him after speaking with him over the phone. They are a pleasure to deal with an I always check out the Cull silver 1oz bin for some nice toned older eagles. The shop is always busy and everyone is a pleasure to deal with.
Marlon and team are very friendly and pleasant to deal with. They greet you with a smile the moment you walk through the door and have a nice selection of items to choose from. Good selection of paper currency as well. I was able to purchase a very beautiful 1922 $100 Gold Certificate that I was happy to add to my collection. I will definitely be back to deal with these guys again. Thanks a million!
This company is the best. Went to others but they are the best. Thank you Mike (who was our guy)for being a great worker. Lisa and I will very much recommend your company. Great staff and great workers. Thank you
Efficient service, and the best rate in the western suburbs for buying coin-silver. They gave a reasonable estimate over the phone, and that estimate was good the same day when I came to the store and the coins were checked.
This place bought stolen merchandise that was stolen from my father after he passed away. They did not keep an inventory. Their was no itemized receipt. Now they have deleted their video surveillance cameras for the date in question. I finally found proof of what I could prove what was stolen and tried to give them the inventory since it takes longer for investigators to be assigned to a theft case and they would not take the inventory of just 20 coins to hold them if they still had them until an investigator has been assigned by the police. Do not used this place. They are shady and try to move stolen goods fast. DO NOT USE THIS STORE.
Outstanding coin shop bigger selection than most coin shops highly recommend fair when buying and selling and everyone there is very nice and helpful.
I own a pawnshop and I don’t even buy coins anymore. I send everyone there. Don’t waste your time looking around. Nobody will pay better!
Fox Valley Coins Inc. was very easy to work with. Jacob was very professional and knowledgeable and quickly assessed the value of my collection and offered a very fair price. Highly recommend.
I had them come to my residence for an assessment of my family collection. I was extremely pleased with the response, service, and overall professionalism that was given to me and my family. I would do business with them again in a heartbeat.
I took my grandson in to the store right before COVID hit. He is 10 years old and isjust beginning collecting, and he was amazed at all of the coins in the store. He is collecting foreign money that he thinks looks cool. They treated him like he was pretty special. It is now Feb. of 2021 and he has asked to go again, im sure it will be fun again. Thanks
Been doing business there 2 plus years. Great people & fair pricing. They always take the time to talk, educate & advise. Refreshing to deal with a business that treats people as people & not just a monetary gain object. Great inventory even if just browsing. Keep it up 👍🏼
Due to the economic impact of the CoVid Crisis, I found myself in the position of having to redeem several bars of Silver. I had never dealt with FVC before. The staff at FVC have been both understanding and accommodating, offering very fair redemption pricing relative to Silver Spot Prices. The staff are respectful, friendly and have made the experience enjoyable, in spite of the reason I needed to sell. This is a well-run, reliable dealer and I look forward, hopefully soon, to reverse the reasons for my visits and being making some buys! Thank You FVC!!!
I took my son to Fox Valley Coins a few weeks ago, and I was very impressed with the staff there. They gave us excellent information and they had many, many affordable coins for young collectors. The gentleman who helped us answered all of our questions, and explained a bit about the coins that we looked over. They have a wide selection of coins there at all price levels, and most importantly, good customer service. We will certainly stop there again when were in Warrenville!
We had a great experience at Fox Valley! Great customer service. They were very thorough, friendly and helpful. This is the only place I will go to for coin exchange. We got an amazing deal and are extremely satisfied. The owner is an expert and it was a pleasure doing business with him.
I’ve sold several gold buffalo and even a set of sterling silverware to the guys at Fox Valley Coins In Warrenville, IL, and have always received really good and fair pricing relative to the metals market. I requested a quote on the silverware from a company in the Northeast and it was $610, Fox Vally Coins paid me $1,122 for the same set. I trust these guys based on my experiences of doing business with them.
If you are searching for a trustworthy business to buy or sell coins and other valuables, you must visit Fox Valley Coins. My personal experience has been amazing and deserving of 5 stars! I’ve been to other similar businesses and they don’t come close to the service and credibility at Fox Valley.
When my Father passed away 3 years ago my brother and I inherited his coin collection. My Father began collecting proof and uncirculated coin sets annually from 1968 to 2006, added silver proof and uncirculated coin sets beginning in 1971, and added gold proof and uncirculated coins beginning in 1984. The collection gradually grew as the years went on, and ultimately became quite extensive. The collection completely filled 6 milk crates. In Q4-2020 with the price of gold hovering around $1,900 per ounce, and silver above $24 per ounce, we decided it was time to sell the complete collection. I carefully inventoried the collection in a MS-XL Workbook. I called about 15 Chicago-area Coin Companies and sent the list to 10 companies who expressed interest in bidding. Fox Valley Coins provided a strong preliminary bid and was therefore 1-of-3 Companies who I brought the collection to for their inspection. Then I requested Best-and-Final offers from the 3 finalists. Fox Valley Coins had the highest offer to buy, exceeding their competitors Best-and-Final by 5.8%! I notified FVC that they had the winning bid. I delivered the coin collection to FVC later that same day. They cut two checks, one for my brother, and one for me. Give FVC an opportunity to bid on your coins and coin collection! They put more money in our pockets, and I am sure they will make you a strong offer to buy, too. They are serious, dedicated, professional, and knowledgeable. Do yourself a favor: Go to FVC and shun those pawn shop gold buyers on Ogden Ave.
Fantastic experience last week. Fair and honest. I will be back again and again. No reason to use APMEX with Fox Valley Coins 20 minutes from my house and FVC has better prices across the board on gold and silver bullion.
I am new to coin collecting and just went in to look around. They made me feel comfortable from the start. Very friendly and professional. They provided me with some very useful information. I wasnt planning on buying anything this time but I did and know I got a great deal. Great place and I will Definitely go back again.
I recently heard the owner of Fox Valley coins doing an interview on the radio. I had a box of coins I had saved and collected dating back to my childhood that I wanted to sell so I thought I would bring them to Fox Valley.I had no idea that I had anything of value but they came across one small foreign coin and told me it was worth almost $400. They are extremely honest to do business with I would highly recommend them. They are also nice people too.
Excellent service and selection, fair and honest pricing. Definitely top tier among the dozens of coin and bullion dealers i have visited. Give them a try.
Bought a hundred 2018 silver Maple Leafs for $17 and change when spot price was $14 and change. Today silver closed at $28.96. I phoned and Fox Valley Coin said they quoted me $14 and change for each one. Called PGS Gold & Coin in Wheaton and they will pay $26.77. Ill let this speak for itself. This paragraph is an edit. The response (below) to my original review (above) from Fox Valley Coin clarifies a misunderstanding. I stand corrected. Based upon my past business dealings with FVC and this clarification, I have to change my rating to 5 stars.
Drove over 6 hours to find a good price for our deceased father’s coin collection. Marlon was very knowledgeable, and shared that knowledge during the entire appraisal. There were coins in there that were pretty valuable, and I had zero idea. Marlon knew, and would not downplay their value ... even knowing he was dealing with a person who was in the dark. We ended up selling the collection to Marlon on the spot ... and feel great about it. I hope he makes a little more than the anticipated margins he quoted us. Thanks Marlon!
Found this shop online and had a great experience. They were nice, thoroughly explained everything to me ( I am not a coin person but was selling gold coins that were inherited). I feel they were fair and honest with the pricing. Jacob was fantastic and I felt like I was treated very well.
We were in Chicago for a youth hockey game a few weeks back. Whenever we go to Chicago we look for places to check out. As amateur coin/silver/gold collectors, this was a new stop for us. The store is extremely nice, employees are amazingly helpful, and the prices were not that bad. We didnt buy a ton, just a couple generic silver rounds at spot plus and a couple worn Peace Dollars, but they let my son look through all of it and take his time. We chatted hockey and coins for a bit. They were busy but we never felt hurried or treated differently because we were only buying a couple small things. We will be back to visit this shop again for sure, and thank you for your outstanding customer service!
Excellent service. Very helpful and educational with children as well.
Wonderful team of fair, knowledgeable and friendly people. For anything coin related, Fox Valley Coins is the only place I choose to go. Keep up the great work!
Met with Marlon...honest man, fair and easy to do business with- I highly recommend his services.
Great staff, very fair on the prices and exchange rates. Huge variety of coins if you are a collector. Check this place out!!
In the last several weeks Ive been trying to locate several American Gold Buffalo Proof Coins 1oz.(variety of years). Ebay and other nationwide dealers were asking outrageous amounts. I decided to google all the gold coin dealers in the state of Illinois (approximately 82) and finally came across Fox Valley Coins in Naperville. I spoke to Jacob and he gave me a reasonable/honest price(Ebay and other dealers were asking $400 more that what I paid at Fox Valley Coins) in actuality I asked if they would be willing to trade for a coin/ year I had; in this case Jacob agreed and I only had to pay a 50.00 difference. I went to Fox Valley Coin and met Marlin, Jacob and Christian. They were the most honest, nicest, kindest and most professional group of men I ever worked with. I have purchased and sold coin over the years and I am so delighted to find a company that I finally feel comfortable working with. If anybody is looking for a COIN DEALER I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND - FOX VALLEY COIN in NAPERVILLE - I promise you will not be disappointed; youll be thanking me. Stay safe and healthy!
Purchased an 1857 Flying Eagle Cent in AU condition on ebay. The coin is beautiful, was priced fairly and arrived promptly! What more can you ask for?
Knowledgeable and most importantly fair. Will be back again.
Great place to go if you want to sell your old coins. Christian helped me out and paid me a very reasonable price for what I had. I will definitely be going back!
I have always enjoyed my experience at Fox Valley Coins. They are friendly, very knowledgeable, and give the best prices for your gold or silver. They also seem to enjoy if you just come in to chat, no pressure, just professional, courteous, friendly service. I feel very lucky to have a place like this to go to for my buying and selling of gold and silver. Thanks guys, Ben Willard.
I felt very comfortable selling my coins knowing that I was getting a fair value. They were very knowledgeable and explained the process as they were sorting the coins.
Honest, trustworthy PM shop for all your needs, from gold and silver coins, to antique auctions, they have it all.
This place is amazing. They have a wonderful inventory. Many, many items to choose from. I was helped from the time I walked into the shop. As far as giving good prices, all I can say is that even though this was my first time visiting this shop they offered me a nice deal on some coins. Great job guys! Keep it up
Have known these people for many years and can say great shop to do business with for collector coins, gold and silver bullion as well as collector supplies.
After checking with 3 dealers regarding the sale of my collection, Fox Valley gave me the most for my coins. The team gave me their full attention and spent the time needed to do a full evaluation. I felt very comfortable there and that I was treated fairly.
Been here quite a few times. Always friendly and prices are reasonable. I buy something every time I stop in.
This is the best coin store in the midwest. The employees are honest and you will get the best possible price for coins and junk gold. I have been a customer here for a decade and will not buy or sell anywhere else.
I received the coin, that I ordered, yesterday. It is just as advertised. Your attention to customer service is the best,
One of the best coin and bullion shops Ive ever been to.
My Pa’s coin collection gathered dust under the bed for years because I never got a good feeling about some of the coin shops I’d visited. But then two trusted friends highly recommended FV and I gave it a shot. As soon as my wife and I walked in, Christian seated us and after a bit of a chat said that he’d do whatever we wanted ... look at the collection and appraise the coins for us, buy some if we wanted to sell, or buy as many as we’d like to sell based on their collectibility or silver content. And I had a lock box and a number of bags containing both US and foreign coins ... lots of stuff. Christian couldnt havebeen kinder and looked through the entire collection patiently. We ended up selling most of the collection and we’re highly satisfied with the outcome. I can’t more highly recommend Fox Valley Coins if you want an honest appraisal of your collection. We also thought that Christian showed lots of empathy in understanding that this was my deceased Pa’s collection and that it was kind of hard to let his stuff go. So, long story short, I wouldn’t go anywhere else with my collections other than FV. Thx, Christian!
Very Friendly, Very Knowledgeable and very easy to do business with. Ive been a buyer and a seller. Will be a repeat customer.
Marlon and crew are some of the best to deal with in the industry.Always fair buying or selling
Just got ripped of from this place!DO Not sell here
These guys know what there doing here ! Very nice service, never had a bad experience.
Extremely displeased with the service and price given. I brought in a inherited coin collection that I already had quoted. They were way under another competitor.
Very friendly and knowledgeable. Particularly pleased that they would purchase the entire collection and not just the more valuable coins.
Dont take their word! If you do, be very, very careful. Heres what happened to my wife and I. We went there on Sunday and since they didnt actually have enough cash on hand to buy our gold (isnt that weird?), they said yes, come back on Monday, and you have our word that we will pay you X dollars an ounce for the gold. We said ok. Went back on Monday and they didnt keep their word - they offered about $50 less an ounce even though the spot value on gold that day was stable. We even said to the guy, Dont you remember what you said yesterday? All he said was yeah, I know what I said. But it didnt change. He was the owner too. What a bad business practice. First, to not have cash on hand on a Sunday??? And then not to keep your word??? Really bad taste in our mouth after that and will not go back. Were not dealers - just a husband and wife who bought gold a while back and was trying to sell it. We couldnt help but think he was not being truthful.
Very fair, comfortable, welcoming, informatable, and polite. Highly recommend them!
Amazing place, very nice ppl.
Never go their again, tried to sell me a 1901 please barber quarter for 50 bucks, it was loose not graded and a G6 at best worth about 8 bucks, better off on eBay.
Havent been there for at least a year but always treated well especially by the owner. Very honest and pricing.
Good service and friendly folks, even though I did not sell some of my old money to them they seem to be good folks either way and pretty honest of what my collection was worth
I have never been to your store but I just have a quick question I have a my fingure ring stuck and its not coming out.. can you cut it?
Good people, already fair
Great place
My Wife and I were in town for our sons sporting event. Had some free time so we stopped in. Boy were we glad we did. The silver bullion selection was one of the best I have ever seen. So many great pieces to chose from. Our only regret was we didnt have enough cash to pick up more pieces. Sales staff were friendly and full of knowledge. Even helped us find things we didnt know we wanted. Cant wait until next time we are in town! Thank you!
