I love this store. It has everything, including tortilla holders. It has Mexican candy. I cant get enough of this store. It was great.

Highest quality of groceries and produce and good prices. All the premade stuff is to die for. Atmosphere reminds me of childhood shopping with Mama.

SUPER AND GREAT SERVICE

Highly recommend this place if youre looking for some good, inexpensive Mexican food. They have a breakfast plate for $5 comes with your choice of 2 items with rice and beans and coffee or bottled water. You cant beat this, eggs and machaca!

Poor customer service. Wife was given the incorrect bottled item and didn’t realize until she got home. Went back to exchange for correct item but was unable. Stuck with item that wasn’t asked for.

We went to the meet meat section and as were being help the young man was burping really loud constantly loading our meat in the meat bags. He was not very professional but very disgusting and burping on our meats.

Place not clean at all, many produce full of dirt and the associates with no customer service as a basic. Come out with lots of dust and had to take disinfectants by my own.

Extremely inexpensive prices and plenty of inventory, however the social aspect is horrible. Shoppers dont ware their masks property, they leave stuff everywhere and you dont see enough staff around. Just sop super early to avoid all the crowds and nonsense.

Fresh produce and friendly employees. I went here just to buy a few things. What I will never do again is buy canned soda. 6.75$ plus tax a 12 pack.

I go out of my way to shop here for 2 reasons- The low priced produce and butcher. The meat here is fresh, inexpensive and of good quality. The produce is some of the best priced in town. There is also a bakery that has fresh bread and treats. They also offer hot mexican food. - Besides the above, everything else is over priced.

Produce priced amazing! Today most veggies were 3lbs for less than a dollar. Cashier was super friendly and attentive. Lots of variety in fruits & vegetables, as well as Mexican staples.

If you need water and toilet paper. Theyve got it. I only shop here for the Tres Leches cakes and gelatin. Its basically a Hispanic version of Food4Less

Ok selection of products, just be prepared to waste all your time at the meat and seafood department. This place only has two employees manning this station with 40+ anxious customers waiting. Second time this happens to me on my only second time I’ve been here. I’m sticking with north gate market, leaps and bounds above this place with speedy service.

The store was not very busy at all and thats the way I like it. We purchased plenty of food and lots of veggies. We were preventing on coming to this store tomorrow (Wednesday) which is going to be very active because normally its a day for discounts on veggies and fruits. Im so happy we did our shopping today.

The meat are really good and they have good prices on it.

We were shopping in the produce area and I said to an associate that there was a spill and someone can slip & fall he said there is a wet sign, I looked and it was away from the spil I said the sign is hiding.. he ignored it. Wow that how serious they care about safety. Then I got # for the meat area and waited for 25 minutes plus no problem but then the girl calls our # not even a sec late she calls the next # she didnt give my dad time to go up there then both # showed up .. wow.. Safety should matter, it doesnt only affect peoples lives it also affects your profit..

Have a restaurant the food its great and cheap. The super have a lot of fresh food.

Does this place save you money? At times it does but they waste your time. The meat department is under staff. Their solution is to pull cashiers but then that creates long long lines during checkouts. I would like to keep shopping here but it needs to improve their operation. At the end of the day time is more precious then saving a few bucks!!!

Great grocery store for produce. they stock what is In season and therefore are able to keep prices low. The dry goods are not the cheapest but they do offer them. The deli and the bakery offer lots of delicious things, and the kitchen up front offers a cheap delicious lunch.

Its an ok market for those experiencing financial hardship since their pricing schedule is below those of most markets. Their product line is average and in some cases below average. It is mostly the shopping stop for Mexican people from the other side of the borderline and the store from top to bottom, caters to that culture. The stores are owned by the Chedraui family from Mexico and most any of their stores here in American soil are managed by Mexican nationals. For the most part, 90% of their employee base is Mexican whereas White Americans and African/Americans are not considered for employment. I have felt a bit of discrimination against white and African/American shoppers but then again is maybe because of the language barrier. Maybe is time that the Chedraui family begins hiring some American workers and managers to compensate the inequalities.

The grocery store to go to when you need authentic Mexican and Latino ingredients. They also have a hot food section, I grabbed a while chicken and a big piece of chicharon. (With meat on it)

Selling old marinated chicken wings. Taste like salmonella. Called no one speaks English. 23min hold on the phone for a manager. Last time I shop here.

Clean store with reasonable prices. Parking is a challenge. Consistent long wait to be checked out. This is a persistent problem not addressed by management.

I love the avocados and a type of turnip (singkamas) here~ most of the time they have great quality avocados, some produce and veggies. They also have cheaper price meat with good quality.I dont consume much of Mexican food, so I only come here for the meat, veggies and produce

Two days ago I bought a hot cup of oatmeal at the store. Once opened I noticed it was highly watery, mainly milk with hardly any oatmeal. I asked the kitchen manager, Andres, if he could be kind enough to exchange it for one with at least some oatmeal added to it. He said that he would do it but not until his lunch was over. Rather than waiting for Andres to finish his lunch I opted to ask the cashier to exchange it for one with oatmeal inside. She told me that all the oatmeal that day was as watery as the one inside my cup. At that point I asked for my money back while returning the oatmeal at the same time. She requested the receipt which by then I had either threw away or misplaced. Bottom line, without the receipt she would not return the money for a below standards oatmeal hot cup. Luckily enough, my friend found the receipt on the table we were sitting at and the refund was completed. However, my friends Manuel and Jose Luis and myself are daily customers. We come every day either for oatmeal or breakfast yet, here we were receiving a slap in the face for our loyalty to the store. Today, Jose Luis ordered breakfast, forgot to ask for a cup of coffee but yet while he was saying he told the same cashier to in addition to his breakfast charge him for a cup of coffee which he was hopping the same cashier would serve it to him. Instead he was told to get back in line to order his cup of coffee. Needless to say, he reacted his anger but was polite enough to tell the cashier that she had quite a bad attitude. Andres and his staff at the kitchen are as incompetent and ignorant in customer service as one can ever imagine. The director of the store was informed of the events that took place in the last three days yet we doubt very much anything will be done.

Great ethnic food,not just Mexican,they have neckbones,hamhocks...a ton of produce. They even have a lot of thing I used to get at the Vietnamese store. Really theyll have you in and out quick, I like them better than food 4 less and Gonzalez Northgate. Plus they cook for you before you get so you dont have to shop hungry.

The store has everything we needed and missed about San Diego.

El Súper is a great marketplace. It has tons of parking, very affordable meat prices, and a large variety of Mexican and American goods. This is one of the only grocery stores I shop at and that isn’t going to change anytime soon. Definitely stop by and grab some hot prepared dishes or some food to cook later!

Has the best price of sweet bread in town. 4 pieces for $2. Excellent price for great sweet bread!

Good store

Store always has good specials on produce and meat. Wednesday is produce day and Thursday is meat special, so expect long. I have not had any issues with the meat, its always fresh and taste really good. I get compliments on their marinated meat when I have gatherings. They always asked me where I purchased my meat from. The only thing I dont like buying from here are their tortillas. They are not soft and dont have the right taste to them. Other than that you will be saving lots money here.

Produce department has terrible employees. You bring something to their attention and they will tell you that its not their store and they dont care. Many of the vegetables are rotten and employees will not remove them.Most fruit en vegetables are 3rd and 4th level of quality. Most ready for the trash.Cashiers are rude. If you make any compaints or remarks they will slow up the line on purpose.Obiously the problem is poor management and bad attitude employees. Several customers were complaining and cashiers got slower and called for manager to pick up $$.Ill never go back to this store.

Fresh produce. Love the hot deli and the workers are super nice. The butcher service can be very slow. Like painfully slow service at the meat counter. Other than that - its a killer market.

It was the last day of the weekly special and sales and there were out of many items. And is usually because is a very popular place lace and need to get there soon, when the weekly sales start to get the best deals or fresher produce.

They have a lot of Fresh Foods that a fresh meatloaf fresh vegetables but the roasted chicken is dropped

The fruits and vegetables and always nice and fresh and they have really good prices. It really does gets crowded, especially on wednesdays because they have special so I would suggest coming early morning if you dont like crowds

Great produce, meat, sweet bread, dairy and cheese products at low prices. It gets packed during weekend so make sure you go on weekdays so you dont have to worry about long lines and zero parking. I would stay away from the cooked food on main entrance was not good at all. Purchased a plate of Chiles Rellenos which had no cheese inside too saucy and tasted like it was from the can. Overall I would still come here for grocery shopping.

I always get my cakes for work pot lucks and monthly birthdays here at their bakery. Chocolate Mocha cakes are really good, always get asked at work where to get them. They also have a good eatery inside to buy cooked food and agua frescas. Only flaw at times are the long lines but given the fact that they have good deals and food there it gets busy.
