My hair was a wreck, between box color at home during COVID and just neglecting it for 3 months due to an international move. The before picture isn’t great (I was trying not to take photos since it looked so bad ;) ) but it gives you an idea of the amount of gray and previous color.I was able to make a next day appointment when I called, which was a life saver. Johnny was my stylist and was attentive when I explained my desire to go lighter to hide my grays. He was a delight to talk to and my hair turned out better than I could have hoped.It was a pleasant and relaxing experience and I am totally satisfied with the color/highlights, cut and eyebrow wax I received. I will definitely be going back to Johnny in the future.

This place is awful. The two women that cut my mom’s hair and mine left it all uneven and so ugly. Wouldn’t recommend. The workers are nice but niceness doesn’t equate to skills.

I had let my hair grow out for 2 yrs and it was a long, hot mess. I told Johnny what I wanted and to run with it and be creative. I am so happy with the results! He was so knowledgeable and friendly. He is now my stylist!

I told the lady I wanna keep my hair long just cut off my dead ends, she told me its going to be about a inch and I agreed. The lady was so rough with my hair and her nails kept scratching the back of my neck. The end result was choppy, I didnt like the length it looks way more shorter than we talked about and my neck really hurts from her nails. I wouldnt come back, and especially at the price of $20 for a 15 minute hair cut

Norma was so sweet! She didnt talk much but when she did it was nice and not just talking to pass the time. I had a hair style in mind and not only did she ask question to make sure I wanted it that short in areas but she also gave me great ideas to style it. She also assured me that if I want something changed I can come back with in 7 days to get it fixed free of charge!I havent got my hair cut by a professional in over 3 years, she made the expert amazing and when I go back Ill ask for her!!

I have always had a great experience here with cut and color. Johnny is always my go to guy for years now and he always does an excellent job at making me look great! The other ladies are friendly as well. They listen to what the customer wants and are quick but efficient. Great service!

Went in for a haircut and gave a simple explanation of what I wanted done and came out great. Thanks for knowing how to take care of finer hair types!Edit: changing my 5 star to a 1 star. I went in wanting a perm and wanted loose, flowy curls and after washing it after 48 hours its terrible. It is so ugly and i cant do anything to fix it till my hair heals from damage, but i will never get a perm again and i dont think I will be going to this location anymore.Learned i probably cannot get a refund either 😒

I hate getting my haircut. they usually get scissor happy or i just hate my hair afterwards, but after coming here and getting my haircut,( i think her name was norma) i love my hair !!! i finally feel like my hair matches my personality. and it was a good price!!!! i’m gonna stay coming here and i’d definitely recommend

First experience was great. Got quoted over the phone AND again in person for $20. The lady that did my hair was super sweet and did an awesome job.Second time I went (thinking I’ll have the same experience) I ended up with a different stylist because they were busy. I asked her to do SAME THING I got last time. Which they keep records of in their system. She said no problem. she rushed through doing my hair because she wanted to leave for the day. I really don’t understand why she decided to stay and do my hair if she was just going to rush through it. Needless to say she did a bad job. ON TOP OF THAT, She had the nerve to try to charge me over $45. To then give me a nasty attitude and try to argue with me (in front of my 5 year old) when I told her no and had to change the price back down.Never wasting my time on this place again. They definitely don’t communicate the right way and don’t work as a team. They’re only worried about themselves and how much money they can rip off. ✌🏼

I love this place and I drive over 15 miles to another town just to get Lollie to do my haircut. I have been coming here since last year. Lollie is a professional doing a great job cutting my hair and is always so full of smiles and so friendly. And the prices are phenomenal. So thanks again for a job well done. Kudos.

I needed a last minute bleaching and hair coloring immediately, and all other salons told me that they didnt want to hassle with that so last minute. When I called Fantastic Sams, they were incredibly helpful and willing to do it. I rushed over and they fit me in right away. The gal who did my hair was SO friendly, helpful, and genuinely wanted me to be happy with my hair. I highly recommend this place to anybody needing anything from a trim, to a full on coloring like I needed.

I really like Jenn and theres always a line waiting for her because she just does great work. Easy to talk to and can work with my hair type (which is hard to do with my hair).She is able to give my thick, coarse, wavy hair an awesome pixie that I can easily manage with minimal effort. She works magic with those thinning shears!Ive never dyed my hair (Im in my 30s) but trusted her to take the plunge with. A little pricey for the dye but confident in her so I went for it and got happy results.

Really bad service!I went to get my hair short I keep telling her one side look more large than the other, when this lady finish the hair was so wet and look even,when dries looks like my grandson(is a baby) cut my hair,I came back next day looking for Denisse because she was Denissenop the real Denisse fixmy hair when dries same result,I have a curly wave hair no so challenging for a professional,Iwould like to get my money back!

Since the first day of visiting Fantastic Sams I always have a great experience there. The staff is always friendly and have amazing customer service. I definitely recommend Jennifer as a hairstylist. She does an amazing job on anything you need. I recently got my hair dyed, which was my first time, and I was a bit nervous about it, but after seeing the results I can definitely say I will be choosing her as my stylist.

Good rates. Can usually get the same people to cut my hair, even after 5 years. Staff is always pleasant and accommodating. Adequate parking and conveniently located nextdoor to HEB. Occasionally theres a wait, but I find it doable. For mens haircuts, I highly recommend!

I would give 5 stars but the lady who answered the phone lied about the wait time. She said it was 1.5 hours when really it was about 20 minutes. Other than that I had a great haircut and I will return.

Was in New Braunfels for my cousins wedding. Had a hair emergency for French braids, Fantastic Sams stylist got me in quickly, understood the situation and service request with little explanation. Hair turned out great, was in and out in 30 minutes.

Ask for Jennifer, she does a great cut and color!! Honestly the only one I trust with my hair, and I couldnt begin to tell you how picky I am lol. They have a great color selection if your leaning that way, but they are also up to date on a lot of the newest hair trends so you dont walk out feeling like you have a dated hair style.

They were good at getting me and out did very good job cutting my hair.

My experience was great here! Tuesday a.m. is a slower time. I was delighted to learn that Tuesday from open until pm and Wednesday all day are Senior discount days on haircuts... Ill be back! 😁

The lady was so sweet.... I liked her a lot but she kept ripping thru my wet hair with a comb. I heard the rips and cringed as more damage was being done than good. Instead of carefully combing from the bottom to get the tangles out of my hair she’s kept aggressively trying to go thru the knots. I get she was supposed to leave earlier then I came in, but I love and treasure my long hair. Will be going elsewhere for my next appointment. Thanks for your service for this time though

I told the guy -I want a TRIM....he hacked my hair off instead. I used to have long hair and I told him more than once - TRIM TRIM TRIM!!!! Now I look like fryer tuck - thanks a lot you idiot.If you are thinking about getting your hair cut here.....DONT - unless you want your hair screwed up. Honestly, my hair now looks like something I could have done myself WITHOUT a mirror.....My mom could of done a better job than this and she has arthritis in her hands...Im not going to bother calling them for a refund because I know they wont give me my money back, but thats fine - I am showing everyone whether face to face, or on twitter, or on Facebook, and everywhere else WHY NOT TO GO TO THIS PLACE!!! My profession requires me to stand in front of a camera - how am I supposed to do that now? Like anyone at fantastic sams cares though, right?Do yourself a favor and save your money and cut your hair yourself with a blind fold on you will get the same results. I am very angry about this.....One thing I did learn is when your haircut is done [no matter where you go] - tell the person to blow dry your hair - otherwise you cant really get a good idea of what its going to look like until its dry!The only thing I am still wondering is - WHY DID THE GUY TELL ME HE KNEW WHAT I MEANT WHEN I DESCRIBED WHAT I WANTED?????????? because by what my hair looks like he did NOT, NOT, NOT understand ANYTHING i was saying....I did not say anything about combing it back or wetting it, or doing anything he did to it. Once again, I now look like fryer tuck thanks to an incompetent person who thinks they know how to cut hair.....I dont even want to look in the mirror anymore.....Very disturbed over this....But once again they dont care, thats for sure.
