Great place to find a bargain. Today I got some rain boots for $5 (retail $40 at Target) and a 21-speed 24” Mongoose mountain bike for my daughter for about $90 (retail $160). It was super-messy and I spent a couple of hours just going through it. I loved it.My original purpose was to find for an air mattress with a frame to take camping. I laughed at how many different aisles had air mattresses. So random! I enjoyed chatting with other patrons and getting tips… Apparently Wednesdays and Thursdays are the best days to go and find new arrivals.If you’re in a hurry, this is not the place for you. If you want to find a good deal or just enjoy looking through random stuff, 10/10… highly recommend.Want to add… the staff was super-friendly and helpful. Someone waited with my bike and shoes while I got my car from across the parking lot, then helped me load it.

When it first opened this place was lit. But i went in a couple weeks ago (Oct 2021) and it was a mess. Stuff was everywhere. I felt like i was at a yard sale on crack. Maybe u can find something in there.. just gotta hunt

The place is a mess which is fine because they have a crazy big selection of things, but the problem was that the items I wanted to purchase were out of their packaging or incomplete.

Its always a treasure hunt. I found 2 Target bikini tops for only $2.50 that retailed for over $30. Lots of really interesting shoes for under $5 and we were lucky enough to find giant boxes of Blockbuster dvds for .5cents a piece. They never have the same merchandise as its always rotating because theyre a close out store. It can be a bit messy but thats part of the fun of the hunt.

I needed a dehumidifier & I found one there a Highsense w/ a 70 quart a day capacity normally it cost nearly $280.00 I paid $8.97!!! It works perfect. I also ought a 30 cc craftsman weedeatsr for $20.00 put a new spark in it & it works great

Over crowded with merchandise all over the floors or isles, not handicapped friendly at all. Most merchandise is incomplete missing parts. No employees on the floor to help you with questions and pricing. Aside from some good deals, still a mess to shop. Needs to be cleaned up for the public shoppers and have handicapped ♿ accessibility ♿

You can find some good deals but plan on spending a few hours there. It is a mess and you dig through the mess. Not sure the time is worth the money you save.

Used to have really good prices on stuff but now its literally retail prices or even higher in some cases. Ive seen two of the same products literally the same brand and item with two different price tags and they will charge you the two different prices sometimes. Gave it 3stars causs its a good place to kill time.

The good first, there are a few deals if you dig through the mess long enough. The bad, it is a mess, they just way over price stuff and I mean way over price and then discount at the register. I will stick with Ross and Marshalls.

Cant check out. Been here twice where the check out line was so long we had to leave our cart an go. Pretty frustrating. Managent here clearly doesnt care about anything.

I hate leaving any negative reviews but I have to be honest and shoot it straight. I went in recently and I was really just not liking what I was seeing. The shelves are so thrown and unorganized that it felt overwhelming even trying to dig through the amount of stuff thats in this store. Its like they just dump boxes and boxes of stuff on the shelves and there it sits most of the stuff is broke or damaged. I have in the past found a couple of small things I purchased but mainly by luck. It feels dirty and unkept. I only speak for myself and you will probably find something if you dig around but man please get some kind of structure or organization on the shelves and teach the employees how to acknowledge customers ..it can be a great business if it was cleaned up a bit. Im sure Ill be stopping in again but not too soon ..

3rd time I stopped for dvds. Couldnt get any. Only available dvds were in a glass case that we couldnt get to.The customer service was friendly and apologe6.

I felt terrible, the place was a mess, worth than the one in San Antonio. You need patience to look for things, really disappointed.

A great place to go bargain hunting!Having the app is a MUST.The employees do the best they can to keep the place organized and the prices accurately marked. The concept of the store is to resell overstocked and lost/returned goods and items. This means inventory is always changing, and items are always being moved around along with their prices.You won’t always find “gold”, but it’s always a fun experience sifting through all the various items in the store and discovering how much they have been discounted.Half the thrill of a treasure hunt is the sense adventure.

One of the coolest places in New Braunfels you can almost walk in broke and leave with a basket like you had a wallet full of cash!

People need to understand this place. It’s a bunch of random stuff that is either a great deal, or roughly the same price in-stores.Rules are simple:-They have an area where you can test all electronics. (Your fault if you don’t test it and it doesn’t work after purchase)-They allow you to open boxes to verify all pieces are there. (Your fault if it is incomplete after purchase)- No refunds or returns (again, check your stuff before you purchase it)My wife and I find great deals there. We have bought everything from a BRAND NEW car seat to 10¢ clothes to a $60 ceiling fan (originally $300 online) to $1 rain boots for kids.The app is a must have because that is the only way to know the price before checking out.Just remember ALWAYS VERIFY THE ITEMS YOU’RE BUYING and all will be well.The store gets messy, but I’m sure the employees have a hard time keeping it clean since customers usually dig through things trying to get to items on the back of the shelf.If you have time to kill, and not really searching for anything in particular, I highly recommend heading to Dirt Cheap to see what they have. You’ll always find something you didn’t know you wanted.

I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed this place sooner, considering I tell EVERYONE in my life about it lol. My entire summer/spring and fall/winter wardrobe has come from here and most of my home decor too. Every time my roommate and I shop here we spend at least 4 to sometimes 5 hours because the variety in stock this place carries changes at least twice a week! We are always amazed at the final price on our receipt. This place has legitimate boujie/uppity brands and items (from clothes to furniture to auto and even home improvement) that you only find at higher end department stores and the price cut is just gargantuan. Unbelievable that this place doesn’t have a line out the door and around the corner every day of the week. On average every $100 spent there equates to $350-$450 in discounted retail. We have done the math on several occasions because we can’t wrap our heads around the extreme value and bargains Dirt Cheap offers. There is no other stores I can compare it against because other discount /overstock stores will have some nicer products but it’s rare, and the others have price points that are maybe 15% off of the original price. . I don’t know how Dirt Cheap does it but good god I hope they never stop.

My go to for bargain hunting. Sure, you have to rifle through a lot to find the deals but the rush is worth it. At least half of my home decor is from Dirt Cheap. If you don’t like the thrill of the hunt, this is not your place. Staff is friendly and helpful.

This store reminds me of a Goodwill and Big Lots combined. The store employees are amazing and helped anyone looking for help. I did find a few items that I needed on discount. It was fun to look for random treasures. I would recommend this store to anyone looking for random items.

I highly recommend this place. I used to work there. It is what Goodwill used to be. They get stuff from other stores that cant sell certain items, or is outdated. Their main vendors are, Target and Dollar General. This is a store that you have come to at least 3x a week because they get items several times during the week. The always have discounts. Plus, every week that goes by the discounts are greater the longer an item stays in the store, because they have to make room for more stock.

Had a cashier by the name of Maria. She was professional, friendly and awesome.

Well you get what you pay for as the saying goes. If you like to bargain hunt then you will rate this place a 4 or 5. The only thing is that if you are looking for something in particular, they may not have it today but might next week. I do like the table at the back to plug in something to make sure it works. It is a good size places with clothes, shoes, small electronics, and an assortment of many items.

Great prices, Sometimes it just confessing, but they put up signs help you out, on pricing the ladies at the register also brings you up and tells you how much item cost and see if you would like it or not they do a great job there thank you ladies and gentlemen

Its okay place. Its more like a surplus store similar to the one I used to go. If you have time to check the shelves and browse then this is the store for you. Seems like every merchandise are all mixed up. They do have a table to check any electrical merchandise youre thinking of buying. You need to get their apps to check the prices on each items. Good place to kill time. Happy shopping.

I loved this place at one point but the staff have gotten down right rude. They always had good stuff but now its mostly all damaged and they still try to sell it at the undamaged price. Or it will have a clearance tag from another store that is way cheaper then what they are selling it for. Everything is messy and thrown everywhere. They do not honor some of the prices that are listed. For instance today I found sheet sets (not just one random) but tons of them on an aisle that had nothing but 60 percent tags. I told them they wouldnt even go check just wanted to argue. Thats fine I went to check and the lady was talking about me to another employee in the middle of the store. Needless to say I will not be back. They do not appreciate any regular customers just want you to spend and get disrespected by the employees while youre there.

I have been going to this stores location for about 2 years. The quality of service and products have gone down rapidly and the prices are no longer dirt cheap.

I have truly found some gems at dirt cheap. I will say watch out for some of the stuff they get from target some of it is still in stock at target and it is on sale for cheaper and usually Dirt cheap will try to sell it to you at a higher price and it is defective but if you have a good grasp of what you’re looking for you will find some really good stuff. Also it is not a bad thing that they still have some of the stuff that is in stock at target and if you have a barstool from there you can go buy another one from target and have a set.

This place is okay to shop they are finally fixing everything. But the restrooms are horrible!!!! And it is very single time i have went here. This has been like this since it opened!

I dig this place.its kinda scattered like my old weed dealer in California. But if you meticulously slowly go down the Isles.you can find some awesome deals.i purchased 2 8×10 woven throw rugs with matching patterns for $ 25 dollars each.you can buy the same rugs at Wal-Mart for like 99 dollars..phone cases and all kinds of needed household items. I like this store a whole lot I saw a good dehydrated there for around $80.new in box.its kinda like a indoor flea market .and they are constantly adding more deals daily. 💟

I had bought something from this store and one of the people that worked there said that I had 24 hours to return it if there was anything wrong with it. I go back to return it and another worker rudely explains that they dont give refunds when they couldve simply explained it in a civilized manner. Next time have all your employees on the same page.

The only Sales Associate checking people out kept pulling down her mask to literally cough all through out the store. Really unfortunate, no one was enforcing proper use of masks, would not recommend if your high risk.

Their store is organised the same way a tween would clean their room.. Items are put in a general area on a shelf somewhere and it is up to you to find what you are looking for.. Their items are always being added to and for the price I try and stop here first and if they have what I want great if not I will stop elsewhere..

I LOVE this store. I dont even want to talk about how much I love this store because I dont want to attract any competition. This store has amazing deals on products, which are usually customer returns or items that didnt sell well at big box retailers (typically). This can come with risks, always check for missing or damaged pieces to your product. For instance I got a grill for $80 that retails for $400 at Lowes. The only issue was a broken weld on a leg of the grill that you cant even see, nor does it affect the grill. Alot of products that are missing pieces have a number you can call listed on the box or instructions to get the missing or damaged pieces. If youre into treasure hunting then Dirt Cheap is for you!

It is far from dirt cheep. Some items are way overpriced you can get cheaper at Walmart. Looks like a tornado hit the place more like a welfare store poor quality service.

I give this one star because of the way electronics departments staff. . I had no other issues at all.I went to buy a Bluetooth speaker that they had for a good price. I said I’d like to buy it, and an employee ran up and said it didn’t work. Then i walked down a few feet and heard one of the employees laughing about how she was gonna buy it for $10, because it was “broken”, when she got off work. She was to busy visiting with her friends and looking for stuff to buy herself she was of little help to anyone there. This will probably be my last trip to dirt cheap at this location. Good employees I guess are pretty hard to find these days.

I bought 2 things one 80 and one 40 bucks. The 80$ thing was a instant pot. It didnt work. Wasted 80. The 40$ was a toy that wasnt even complete and damaged on some parts that were there.

The store is crazy but you can find really good deals. Dana the cashier is kind and helpful. Its confusing to know the prices for everything, but Dana is always so patient! We love Dirtcheap!

This place USED to be awesome but now its a MESS. It seems that now that instead of averting things from the landfill and selling it for a good price, its more about making a large profit. Theyre chronically under staffed and the manager cant be bothered to help when there is only one register open and the line backed up to past the shoe aisle on multiple occasions. Things are broken and shattered, sticky or half filled. Its unfortunate because this store used to be so good.

The service I got today was dirt poor. The items in the store dont scan. They are missplaced. When you ask to honor the price they would rather lose your business than either straighten up the darn store or help you. The manager is the worst. Forget about buying electronics, because they are on display only. NO ONE will help you. The prices are scams on the majority of items. They raise the prices and then put 50 percent off. Dirt Cheap is Dirt Service, Dirt Looking, and are cheap-skates!
