Great shop! Pretty large selection of Yale merch, obviously, but the book selection was surprisingly solid. Service was fast, even with only 2 clerks at the checkout area. Go Bulldogs!

Everything you need!! From books, to Yale merch, school supplies etc. All reasonably priced and of high quality. I am a Yale alum and I often shop here for myself or for gifts for others. Returns are simple, however, you will keep everything you purchased. Put this place on your schedule during your next visit to New Haven.

This location is merger between Barbes and Noble and the university bookstore, which sells Yale apparel, Barnes & Noble books, as well as university textbooks and school supplies. It is located on a busy street that only offers parallel parking. The light at the intersection is brief so, if you want to get out a parking spot, you are at the mercy of the traffic. Overall, nice store, less than hospitable location.

Great place to buy yell memorabilia in New Haven. It’s a good place to find cool yell merchandise. Recommend visit here whenever you’re in New Haven.

Yale Merch Bulldogs and Books

Fairly standard college bookstore. Plenty of Yale merchandise, but feels a bit generic because of the Barnes and Noble aspect. Lacks some items that feel more unique to Yale beyond the standard shirts, pennants, notebooks, keychains, etc. Would be nice if they sold more unique items like building replicas, more local art, etc.

They didnt have Ti-84 calculators. These qre very important for students and bookstores to have.HeheOtherwise, it was a nice experience, but you should be patient with the line and cashiers.

I really like the selection of the books and the atmosphere something new and different have to go back with some money 😂

Theres two books that Ive been trying to get copies of so I could read second parts of them. They didnt have in stock but they ordered them and called me when they got there. And it was only 40 bucks for both of them! I havent started reading the books yet but still really happy about it, hahaha

Dont let the name fool you into thinking that this is just for ivy league students. This is a top notch bookstore with shelves packed with all genres and subjects, not to mention games and toys, and of course the inevitable collection of Yale swag. There is something for everyone to enjoy here.

The book selection is great - it has both popular books for adults and kids and all the Yale authors (its fun to just browse). However, the clothing selection is lackluster, both in terms of style and quality. Almost everything is polyester blend (but priced as if it werent), and doesnt survive normal laundering well. I found the selection down the street at Campus Customs to be better.

All kinds of stuff that Yale related. from sunny materials to school supplies to flush animals to shirts and sweatshirts and everything in between, this place has it. Great place to pick up a souvenir, or just some basic school stuff.

Good location downtown, good size store. Has some good novelty items as well. Parking is a challenge on busy days. You may have a hard time parking on busier days. Easy accessible via uber or bus though if youre inclined to use those services.

Visit this Bookstore for all things Yale! Dont forget to check out apparel on the lower level on clearance. Apparel - T-shirts, hoodies, books, gifts - the Yale Visitors Center recommended the Bookstore for apparel. Refreshments - water, soda for purchase downstairs. The public restrooms on the lower level were closed the day of my visit. Staff friendly/helpful!

Great place to get books. There is a huge variety of books from Poetry to even books for important studies and language learning. Has nice kids section and nice amount of supplies to buy.

I have visited this bookstore in the past and for the most part it can be enjoyable. My son likes to come here to search for Manga and this is the closest location when we cant get to the Milford, CT store. We went yesterday and was followed around and watched by an employee. We left the manga section after my son created a list of books hed like to come back and purchase in the next coming week. We left the area because there were 2 students who were very loud and were playing around in the store during a seminar. The male employee who was watching and following us, came up to us and ASSUMED that it was us and told us that we had to keep it down. I had to inform him that it was the girls an aisle away from us that was causing all of the noise. Had he not been so hellbent on thinking (based on the way he acted), as if we were going to steal a book, he would have noticed that. My son proceeded to go to another section of the bookstore while I went to the restroom and he followed us and pretended to be organizing books directly across from us. I felt so uncomfortable and the whole situation was creepy and made me feel as though we were being stalked and harassed by this employee who seemed to have an issue with darker toned people. If he was so intent on organization then he could have fixed the pile of books that were practically falling off of the table as he continued to follow us as we made the decision to just leave because of the uncomfortable vibes we felt in the store. Because of this experience, I will purchase the books elsewhere in a more comfortable environment where we will not be stalked and harassed. This is the first time this has ever happened here in all of the years weve been coming to this location and it will be the last because it devalued the whole experience of visiting the bookstore. We love reading and in addition to purchasing books, we also visit the Little Free Library on Wooster Street in New Haven to pick up and drop off books that weve already read. If anyone is interested, Id suggest visiting this area because it also has books for children and you can give away books that you no longer want for someone else to enjoy while picking up something for yourself.

So many books, an aisle where you can find board games and a lot of room to wander means this is a pretty good place to find the book you need or order it. Also multiple cash registers which means the line moves fast. I walked a fair bit from where we parked to get to the store but I enjoyed the atmosphere overall. The cashiers are professional but I dont know how I feel about asking any of the staff for help finding a specific book. You might be better just looking yourself honestly. The place is really large for a storefront bookstore

I cannot begin to describe my gratitude to this place! I dropped a 100$ bill (graduation money😭) out of my wallet while paying at the register and didnt realize till I was gone the next day.I called, and they wrote my information down, and tried to see if anyone turned it in. Someone did, and they held it for me. WHAT GREAT PEOPLE WE HAVE HERE at this store, and new haven. I honestly didnt expect to get that money back... I mean...it was cash. But Im so grateful.I know this is a review for the store, but I wanted to review the honest, decent people who work there. LolThe store is fine. Great selection, Yale gear is top notch quality, a little with price, but its college gear...so thats not uncommon.Thanks again to this store! Youre 5 stars in my book any day!

Loads of amazing books and crafts to choose from. With two levels, there ate thousands of children and adult books to make sure u find the one perfect for u. They also have a tech section w chargers, popsockets, etc., a beauty section with lots of great buys, and a food section with dozens of yummy snacks! They also sell notebooks and even Vera Bradley pocket books, wallets, and laptop holders!! If u go past that section, u will find the Student Section, with hundreds of books on how to learn other languages, study material, and etc.

Love the location and the store has wide array of paraphernalia that gives lots of variety and choose. The prices are however a bit on the expensive side.

I was looking for Yardsticks, a book by author, Chip Wood. It contains very useful tips on child development, ages 4 to 14. Much to my dismay, no copies were in the bookstore. A staff member explained a complicated reason for her inability to order it for me because its a textbook.I will stick with my trusted Barnes & Noble in Milford ; it is where I can always find what I need, no restrictions.

The bookstore has good collection! Two floors, multiple things to pick from. But as much as I love the university and the collection, this bookstore always seems overpriced for the quality of goods. Not sure why. Perhaps my feeling, so definitely check out yourself. You can get similar T-shirts and other stuff few blocks down at cheaper rates.

Contains both Yale merchandise and a nice selection of casual reading books, much as any Barnes and Noble might feature. Multiple floors, looks very nice on the inside. I especially appreciated the very large print of the Harkness Tower Blueprint on one of the walls.

Its a B&N with Yale stuffs. It was a hot day and a cashier was in a bad mood. The key is to mention campus tour for 15% off Yale logo products. B&N members get 10% off. Remember to check out clearance on the lower floor (basement). Yep, the restrooms are there too.

Absolutely abysmal customer service. I called to ask if they had a book in stock. I was told I would have to come in person to check if they had particular books available. I was asked how many books I was looking for. I replied that I was only looking for one book for my afternoon class. Then the woman on the line hung up on me.For the future, I will be going out of my way to acquire my books and supplies elsewhere. At the cost of inconvenience, I will not be paying a cent to this bookstore. One of the few advantages a physical bookstore can claim over online purchasing options is the presence of human beings to engage with and assist customers. While the bookstore may subsist by leveraging its convenient location to get students to purchase overpriced textbooks, I will take my business elsewhere.

Lovely bookstore in the middle of the university block (or so).Very interesting experience if you qant to have some gadgets with univeristity logo. Here you can find everything!Take your time and walk around all shelves, its impossible dont find anything.
