I absolutely love Strangeways. I’ve shopped since their old storefront and this new location is bigger and better!It’s full of independent artists pins, stickers, apparel, and other goodies. It’s a great place for gift shopping or just some retail therapy.

Some real gems in this little shop! If you are a fan of the strange and unusual like me, you will love this place. Staff is very warm and friendly, and their customer service is above and beyond.You wont be disappointed!

I’ve been following Strange Ways for ages and have always loved their merchandise. I finally decided to purchase a few pins as well as a Pride patch and LOVE them. The shipping was so quick and arrived in a day. I will be back to buy more since they offer such a variety of products! Highly recommend!

I knew what my gift was to be when my nephew shared his pin collection.I was disappointed with usual sites. On search I found Strange Ways, the site looked legit, so I decided to give them a try and was not disappointed.The selection was so lovely that I ended up purchasing a few pins for myself.Delivery was delayed by the USPS holiday overload. Alex responded immediately to my email about tracking information.Late delivery worked out because the gift would have been overshadowed by the festivity madness. Instead I will deliver the alien pin today and enjoy one-on-one time with my nephew.Unique Gift Aunt mission accomplished once again!!

Literally love this shop. It’s cute, it’s quaint, and really great. Rad might be the best way to describe it. If you are in the market for pins, patches, or sweet thrifted gear then stop by. It’s inclusive and queer friendly space open to all. Best part is it’s locally owned and operated.

Amazing online store if I’m ever in NH I’ll have to stop in. Punctual shipping, fun products, my only suggestion would be to include on site if the patch has the iron on backing or not in the description. I personally enjoy sewing my patches and I didn’t know some had the special backing. Otherwise amazing shop, very happy with my orders and will be back!

Ive only shopped online but its been an awesome experience. There are always such cool and unique finds and its great to support both artists and a small business with your purchases. Super up front and transparent with all their biz (especially during the current pandemic and the store front being closed) and shipping. Ill definitely continue to shop here for some funky and eclectic flair (and you should too)!

I’ve been ordering patches and pins from Strange Ways for years, and as a CT native have been to the storefront a handful of times. While the storefront is a joy—beautifully organized, with a welcoming atmosphere and friendly employees and in close proximity to lots of other fun New Haven shops—their online presence always wows me.They frequently update their website and are consistently adding new products online. They ship quickly with timely email updates. Their social media use is fun and looks to customers for feedback and input on store hours/shipping policies/merchandise.Perhaps most importantly, even as a small business, they have incredible customer service. I recently had a minor issue occur with a t shirt and they were responsive within 24 hrs and incredibly understanding despite the issue being out of their control. They helped me resolve the problem and were wonderful throughout the process. Their customer service is just one more reason it is a joy to continue to shop with them. Do yourself a favor and get lost on their website or in their store in a sea of witty, gorgeous, unique art sold with integrity.

I absolutely love this shop. EXCELLENT customer service!! I’ve purchased online a few times, and unfortunately this last time one of my pins had a freak issue where the deluxe backer wouldn’t come off! I emailed Alex and he immediately offered a replacement or a refund, and once I had chosen a new item he shipped it that day. Above and Beyond, they have a customer for life. Thank you Alex!!! I hope one day I can visit the store front.

Great little hole in the wall featuring indie artist products. Patches and pins make up the majority, but you can also find tshirts, bags, soaps and candles and some other stationery items among the other odds and ends.

Awesome online shop! I love the pin and patch selection. Shipping is reasonable and fast. Customer service is also great. I bought a necklace that had a factory defect and when I reached out Adam got back to me super fast and was able to put in for a replacement. A+ experience.

Absolutely love this place. The store front in New Haven is one of the coolest places Ive ever been, but if you cant make it out there, the online store is also awesome. They have alot of patches and pins and t-shirts from independent artists. They have such a varied style of art that Im sure theres something for everyone. You will not regret purchasing anything from Strange Ways as everything is high quality and super rad!

Somehow google said I left a one star review, even though I definitely didn’t, I never leave any reviews let alone negative ones, so I’m sure not how that happened. This shop is super cute and the employees were very sweet and I’ll absolutely be returning for more patches and pins! Definitely a five star place!

One of my absolute favorite stops when I am in Westville. First off, you should know that Westville is the Brooklyn of New Haven. Secondly, if you visit Westville and do not stop into Alexs shop you have failed yourself. A trip into Strangeways will make you nostalgic, laugh out loud, and make you feel like youve instantly uped your cool status. The staff are helpful and sweet, and the inventory is creative, sassy, and fun. Grab a pin or a couple patches, and artist illustrated zine or card, or some candy cigarettes! Never pirated- always original. Whatever your fancy, Strangeways will brighten your day. Allow your inner nerd and inner child a little play time!

I love Strange Ways! The owner is awesome and the whole shops feels like a pillar of the community in New Haven. They’re really committed to honoring artists and they’re really inclusive too. Their collection is the best around, I honestly can’t go into the shop without finding something new and amazing I have to have. Love you Strange Ways!

They got Pac-Man, Heathers on VHS, caps that say Anarchy Anarchy on them, masks that say Have a nice dystopia, and HUGE black panther patches. A counterculturists dream spot, and so hidden that you really have to be a cool kid (or lucky) to spot it.So cool!

I love this store. I am new to New Haven and my boyfriend took me here. I have gone by myself (for an introvert with a slight case of agoraphobia, that is a big deal) and was impressed with the friendliness of the staff. I didn’t catch her name because I’m awkward, but the girl at the counter was very nice. She made sure I didn’t need any help but wasn’t too pushy either. As someone who struggles with interaction you have no idea how nice it is to find a place I feel comfortable going by myself! Great job, guys. Love the things you sell, as an artist myself I try hard to buy things from other creators. 💙

OK, this shop is seriously rad! I always try to make a stop here whenever I’m in New Haven. They have a great curation of patches and pins, and endless options for gift ideas. Honestly the only thing bad about this shop is that I pretty much want to buy everything in here!
