This museum is worth a stop, though it is not an extensive museum. Youll come away with a better understanding of what it was like to have money and to live on Jackson Square in the mid 1800s.

Get here in the morning and enjoy the museum, the store and by all means the walking tour! 2-2:30h around the city learning, exploring and collecting ideas about what it is New Orleans. Thanks Charlie for the excellent tour.

Excellent walking tour of the city. 2 hours leaving the 1850 house at 10:30am. You can book online but a lot seemed to pay on the day at the 1850 house admission desk, where the tour starts. Guide was very well informed and informative.
